Must-do amazing stroll in Vancouver, not to be missed! The Vancouver Seawall is a stunningly beautiful path that runs around parts of city and Stanley Park, dubbed “the world's longest uninterrupted waterfront path” at 28 km. And, it’s free. The path is well-paved, and the Stanley Park part of the path is divided between walkers/joggers (outside track along the water) and bikers/skaters (inside track). The bikers/skaters track can be quite busy with a wide variety of travelers from serious athletes to meandering groups. As a walker, I very much appreciated the traffic divide; you can walk casually and take pictures at leisure. Tip: if you’re a walker, be careful to look both ways before crossing the bikers/skater path into the interior of Stanley Park. The pictures from the path are amazing and vary at different points along the route, both the Stanley Park portion and the broader path: the Vancouver skyline, Coal Harbor, Burrard Inlet, Brockton Point Lighthouse, English Bay, activity in the water (seaplanes, boats, ships, etc.), North Vancouver and the mountains behind it, Lions Gate Bridge, False Creek, Granville Island, and so much more. You can also access Stanley Park’s outer perimeter attractions from the path. If your visiting Vancouver, you must take the time to get over to Stanley Park and walk part of the path—you’ll get great exercise, see some interesting people, and get some of the most amazing pictures. Highly recommended.

This is my favorite place in downtown Vancouver. You can walk or bike around the seawall in 1-3 hours (1 bike, 3 walk). There are several beaches spread throughout the journey, and lots of beautiful sites to see, as well as many concession stands throughout - 1.at sunset beach, 1 at second beach, one at third, and one on the other side near the children's waterpark. During the warmer months there are many additional food vendors near English bay, with one hotdog stand running occasionally throughout the colder months. The seawall is a must see during any season and especially if you are here on vacation. If you walk around the whole thing, you'll get a great view of the underside of Lions Gate Bridge, which travels from downtown Vancouver to North Vancouver. The seawall surrounds the beautiful Stanley Park, which is the nicest and largest park in the City of Vancouver's downtown area.

The Seawall in Vancouver is a must-visit gem, offering an incredible 28-kilometer urban pathway from Coal Harbour to Spanish Banks Beach. It showcases stunning views, iconic landmarks, and is accessible to all. Put on your walking shoes, rent a bike, or grab your rollerblades and let the Seawall guide you through the best of Vancouver's natural beauty and bustling downtown. Don't miss the historic Stanley Park section, totem poles, and the picturesque English Bay. Immerse yourself further by enjoying coffee at Third Beach, a dip in the Second Beach Pool, and exploring Granville Island. The Seawall is a world-class attraction that offers an unforgettable adventure in Vancouver.

The Vancouver Seawall is an absolute gem that offers an unforgettable experience. Walking, jogging, or cycling along this picturesque pathway, I was treated to breathtaking views of the ocean and city skyline. The well-maintained trail and lush greenery make it a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of urban life. Whether it's the tranquility of a sunrise stroll or the vibrant energy of a sunny afternoon, the Seawall never disappoints. It's a must-visit destination that showcases the natural beauty and charm of Vancouver in the most captivating way.

You cannot come to Vancouver and not walk, bike, or stroll on the seawall. This is my most favorite thing to do in the city. I often like to bike through this to get to downtown or run around it to see the city landscape. I love coming here around golden hour to see the sun set. The seawall connects Olympic Village, Stanley Park, Granville Island, English Bay, and Downtown so you can easily just go around the wall and see a lot of the main sights. You can really see why Vancouver is a beautiful place after coming around here. Be aware, it can get quite busy in the summer time!

It's been my backyard for a while, and after a year worth of runs, it's still as amazing as it was the first time I went. Just be sure to go early in the morning or in the evenings and avoid the weekends if you : - don't wanna stay stuck behind slow people if you're biking - don't like spending your time avoiding tourists left and right if you're running - wanna get the best out of the seawall and enjoy the peace and quiet of the ocean with a beautiful sunrise / sunset. But whatever you choose, if 10 km doesn't scare you, just go for it, you won't regret it.

I actually just started running here after all these years and I love it. What a great place to take your mind off of the fact that you actually hate running and feel like quitting. The walk is split for walkers / runners and people on wheels to avoid annoying crashes. The scenery isn’t boring and follows the ocean shore - you will often see cranes, seals, and other nature if you’re watching. I just love the smell of the sea too and it puts lots of energy in my step. Doesn’t ever seem to be over crowded either, but maybe I’ve just been lucky.

Grabbing a bike riding along the wall is a Must! i came for vacation and it was honestly one of my favorite things we did on the trip. The views are gorgeous and the environment is just perfect! I almost passed up on this attraction. Glad i didn’t! If you’re in the area and you have a free day. Wake up early and start your day right by riding the wall. Some people walk it but it can get a bit tiring and you won’t be able to ride the entire thing. Oh and there’s several areas where you can take a break and enjoy the view! (:

  • Pam S

To optimise your experience of the seawall, rent bicycles! This is a great way to see all the sights along the one way (anticlockwise) route. The seawall is wide and easy to navigate in the dedicated cycling lane, separate from the pedestrian lane. The route is flat, unless you venture inland and up to Prospect Point Lookout! There are numerous places to stop to admire the view or enjoy a picnic. There are also toilets along the way.

It is one of my favorite walks (long walks) in Vancouver. The sea wall its all border of Stanley Park, and if you take the time to walk it you will see beautiful highlights, take a break and do picnic during your way and relax. If you walk the sea wall you shoyld keep your eyes open! Because you will be surrounded by beautiful wild life such as Harbour Seals, Royal Eagles and if is your lucky day maybe a whale that is chilling around (it happens one or 2 times per year). So enjoy the sea wall!!!!

  • Denis Ramos

Stunning!!! Beautiful continuous path besides the sea, beautiful parks and buildings for relax, walk or ride bicycle or others, this path joins with others allow to you go from waterfront, passing under the Lion Bridge, English Bay to Science World area and more.... Something you should do if you come as a tourist to this beautiful city of Vancouver or if you live here, is a bike tour of about 2 hours...100% recommend Thanks city of Vancouver for encouraging relaxation on this beautiful paths!

I loved the experience, well maintained park. Ideal for an evening stroll or a quick run. Enough restrooms, park benches and eateries and beaches in between. Beware of Coyotes after dark, a local told us if ever approached by coyotes to shine phone flashlight on their face. I would rate this as one of the Must do activities in Vancouver. It's a 5.8 mile walk with no elevation.Took US almost 2.5 hours to complete. I really loved how they have park benches in area with great views.

  • King Ma

Definitely a great place to come for walking or biking around it. There's washroom, attractive spot, playground, beach, food shops, and more, which is between or to each destination. Such a gorgeous cityscape and water view with mountain background. Well maintained environment, and if you come here at sunset or night, even better for photography. Highly recommended to visiting here.

I live in Vancouver and work in the downtown for the past 17 years, but rarely riding bike around Seawall. It was until 2 weeks ago when my friends invited me to ride a bike at Seawall after work, it reminded me how wonderful the place is without going too far. If the weather is nice, I highly recommend everyone to walk or ride a bike around Seawall. Here are the pictures I took with my phone. I will definitely go there again soon.

The Stanley park seawall is one of the quintessential experiences in Vancouver. Views are spectacular, and the intensity of entirely up to you. Stroll around the park if you like, or amp it up by running, cycling or rollerblading. The only thing to keep in mind is that everyone else is going to want to be doing the same thing, so if you don't like crowds, try to go outside of peak hours!

  • Junhyun Kim

Nice, scenic park and walkway where you can enjoy nature and the skyline of Vancouver at the same time. In the evening, the place was super calm. This place must work as a healing place for Vancouver people, I guess. The park is easily accessible by bus and trams.

I walked the whole sea wall with my fam. And it was awesome. Even got to see some crabs on the beach. It was very nice experience. Very different from the Red River trail that's for sure. I would definitely come back here, really like how they have a part for the bikers and the walkers. Very nice touch to the side walks.

  • Elizabeth Rodriguez Javier

One of the significant areas to walk is its extensive path through Stanley Park, English Bay, Sunset Beach, Yaletown and the science world. It has beautiful views, people used to walk, run or ride their bicycles.

Great place for a walk, extended a long waterfront path around the Stanley Park, which also offered a great skyline view of Vancouver. Went here at night and the illumination could have been improved, but definitely offering good view towards Vancouver Convention Centre and downtown area More

You can walk around Stanley Park using the Seawall. Currently the Seawall is partly closed and will be open again December 3. There are a lot of signs suggesting possible detours. It is also possible to hire a bike (cycling should be counter clockwise, one direction only).

Cityscape and landscape converging at Stanley Park seawall, Vancouver British Columbia Canada Rent a bike from one of the shops around (electric if you're not feeling it) for a very easy ride along the seawall for amazing views is the ocean, bay, city, and park all in one

Great place to do a walk, running the length of False Creek. There are also plenty of Mobi bike stations as well as a ferry running between different aspects. The seawall is mixed use for walking, running, and biking. Many people also bring their dogs

  • Casper The Friendly Ghost Writer

There is nothing wrong with this seawall. If it we're a stand alone attraction though, I'd have to tell you not to go too far out of your way. It is a nice view, and the sound of the ocean is relaxing. But in itself there is little unique about it.

The smartest thing Vancouver has ever done. Great access to the water with some great views. Bikes on the left - walkers and runners on the right. Cyclists will get militant and shout at you if you’re in their way, so walkers beware!
