Please add more vegan Banh Mi options! This place has some of the best banh mi I have ever had. During lunch times you always see a long line in front of this place because they sell delicious banh mi at a low price. Also, unlike the previous reviewers, I think the service is decent and this store deserves a much much higher rating, given how popular it is. I also don't appreciate some of the obviously racist comments by some of the reviewers e.g. criticising their English. I'd like to see you try to speak fluent Vietnamese lmao. Well done to the staff members for their swift service and high quality food. Please introduce some vegan options e.g. use vegan mayonnaise (can easily find these at woolies or coles) and vegan mock meats please

This used to be my favourite place every week I would buy a bbq pork roll till this woman started working here few months ago I have stopped coming here. She is very rude to me when she serves me she refuse to grant my request and always wants to do what she likes. She makes a pouty rude face to me. She is also rude to other customers too. A man ask her for a bag and she looked at him and ignore him and went on doing what she like. Then 5 mins later the man asked for a bag then she finally gave him one. A woman ordered no pate and she made an annoyed face to her and still gave her the roll with pate! I don’t know who employed her ?? Firstly she’s rude and secondly her English isn’t the best! I’m sadden cos I like this shop but with her employed I’m not going back ever till she quits!
Terrible customer service and very ordinary tasting bread rolls. I'm a local customer, and arrived one morning while my husband and baby were waiting on standby in the car. The Indian lady working asked me to wait while she was putting away bread. So I patiently waited. Then another customer she knew arrived and she told me she would serve that customer first. There wasn't even a thanks or acknowdgment afterwards that that customer had skipped the line. Height of rudeness. And then she proceeded to put soy sauce in my bread rolls right after I had asked her not to. With the financial state many take-away businesses are in at the moment, they really need to up their game.
I agree with the reasonable price and taste. One of employees seems to need training in customer service and their menu. Because sometimes it's upsettingly rude. Because it's not okay to be rude because you're busy. A stupid questioning employee asked back "What pork do you want?" when I ordered "Pork Roll" from their menu. I was just saying "I just want Pork Roll on your menu", but that employee who kept asking the same silly questions "What kind of pork do you want?" Then why do they have "Roasted Pork Rolls" on the menu too if I need to choose pork type every time?
The Bahn mi (viet rolls) are popular. Bread is always fresh and crispy and they put lots of veges. When there was a lettuce shortage, they substituted it with a v stingy half piece of winter lettuce but it's back to normal lettuce now yay. The chilli is v v spicy! The crispy roast pork is probably the most popular. PRO TIP: the Sri Lankan lady doesn't put as much filling as the other workers so I always try to avoid her haha everything else here is pretty average. The pizza slices are ok but quite oily. The chocolate croissants are ok too.
The staff are nice, but always soooo slow. It’s the worst if someone in front of you orders something that needs a box. It takes five minutes just to put the box together, five minutes to walk around and find tape while the person making rolls is also occupied. I’ve had to walk away without ordering three times every Sunday so far because the parking ticket is running out and I can’t wait any longer. Edited to add: the food is usually pretty good which is why I do keep trying to come back.
Checked other reviews before posting in case I misunderstood anything but yeah apparently it wasnt just ME! Been here for Bahn Mi for few years but the owner/management team should know the customer service must be looked into because the whole customer journey in this place can be completely ruined by filthy looking staff with a raised voice. Also, you can share your experience with your colleagues but NOT IN FRONT OF YOUR CUSTOMER!

Every time I come to here to get some breads, the lady is really rude like she really hates her’s job. No Smile, No Please, No Thank you, Never! I just bought one sandwich bread and one spinach roll from her this morning , then she charged me $16.70! She even didn’t say the price or anything. She just took the money from me and just put the breads on table, like “you need to get your bread by yourself, I’m rush to serve another customer. “
The service is so terrible. I don’t want to give them even one star. At first, even if i was there, they didn’t try to see and greet me. So i had to call them but they didn’t reply and still made me wait. The girl staff is very lazy. (Young girl) During whole time to prepare my order, they made me feel unpleasant. It seems like they don’t want to sell bread to me. When i said to the staff “Thank you” after paying, they ignored me.
Poor disorganised service. Visited on Saturday afternoon, staff more interested in chatting with friends than serving customers. After patiently waiting for them to complete their conversation, decided to serve people who had cut in line. Was subsequently asked to pay twice because the person taking the order and the person making the order didn't seem to communicate with each other. Overall not a good experience.
We visited late in the day seeing the 'happy hour' sign, I was standing at the table looking at the reduced items when a staff member literally pushed in front of me to tidy the table, no excuse me, nothing.... I was shocked. My husband was paying for pies at the time, which unfortunately turned out to be as unpalatable as the treatment I received. At least the wholemeal bread we bought was tasty.
I bought a salad roll and a spinach roll but when I got to my car which was 30seconds, I bit into the spinach roll and it was cold and tasted like chemicals. I would have taken it back but I was on my way to work. When you charge people for a hot product it should be atleast warm and taste good...terrible!!! ...never again!! You need to taste your product before you sell it.!!
I nearly didn't go here because of the bad reviews but had limited other options. I thought the staff were very nice. I spoke to a short haired woman (not sure if it's the same woman as in the previous comments) who was friendly and helpful. I also spoke to a younger lady who was pleasant enough. I got a Sour Dough loaf and it is brilliantly fresh and delicious.
Great bakery to get your Banh mi fix! Located inside Westfield on Lower Food court level. We grabbed a standard Pork roll for $7.50. It's a good size roll and very filling. The bread was lovely and crunchy but the filling lacked flavour. I have had better elsewhere (Marrickville & Hurstville). But considering of its location and price, we were not disappointed.
It's been 10 years already, but I'vejust stopped going there and I'm telling all my family and friends. I was there 15th September around 10am, I started ordering, but staff was so rude, that elderly lady just yelled at me. I'm 45 years old and I've been living in Sydney for 20 years but I've never ever seen the staff like her, she was absolutely crazy.
We used to make special trips across the bridge to the Willoughby Vina bakery just for their great San Francisco sourdough bread - until they shrank while the price kept going up. This one inside Chatswood shopping centre food court has nice looking fruit pastries and does a brisk trade in banh mie (French bread roll with salad/meat fillings)
I lived in the area and visited a few times. Today I bought a Vietnamese chicken roll from this shop. I was one third through and bit something hard. At first I thought it was small stone. Took it out and realized it was a broken glass! I could be injured badly had I not eating slowly. I will never visit this shop again.
Nice bakery inside the mall. Bought their chicken roll which taste good, was a bit regret that I didn't get their famous pork roll. The pork looked so succulent and thick! Each Coll cost aud7. Also bought their wholemeal bread roll which cost aud2 for 6. Would want to comeback for their pork roll one day!
Most unhygienic good ever, just bought a bun mei and two marshmallows for kids. Marshmallow had fine hair on th we mashmallow, not sure if the staff also works at a barbershop or the kitchen is next to Barber Shop. Had to their away the drop called marshmallows. Do not recommended at all, ungygenic food
Bought a Vietnamese roll with a couple of coins. Was expecting 10 cents in change but never got it. The lady thought I didnt notice but I called her up on it and she said I was wrong. It has nothing to do with the amount since 10 cents is nothing to most people but common decency and honesty.
I just absolutely destroyed the best pork roll of my life from this bakery. So delicious! Gotta get in quick too I got here just before 1pm and they were almost out of the roast pork. I've shopped for bread and pasteries here before and they're pretty good too but the bahn mi takes the cake!
Had my doubts about this place for a while. So not surprised it now appears on NSW Food Authority’s name & shame register. Have received several fines for poor food hygiene standards. Thank you Willoughby Council for continuing to check on businesses selling food in your council area.
Delicious Banh Mi. They may not be the best in Sydney, but I dont care as they are great value and in a convenient location in the heart of Chatswood. The service is efficient even when busy. This is a weekly favourite of mine with Chicken and roast pork firm favourites. Thank you!
Best meatball rolls EVER! They put generous amount of pate on the rolls and use really nice rolls (are they traditional rice flower rolls?). Always really fresh rolls. Very very friendly and polite staff. I live in Chatswood and have lunch here almost every day. I am a fan.
Unbelievably rude grumpy staff, I'm done, and after spending $45 they want 10 cents for a flimsy bag !!

Love the Vietnamese rolls, consistently high quality and made quickly. Buns are crispy and fluffy, perhaps a touch too crispy as it's difficult to eat without making a flaky mess. Fresh chilli could be a bit milder, but hey I'm soft and at this price it's unbeatable.
My partner went to buy a $1.80 roll on Mastercard and was told she’d have to pay a 30c surcharge (17% surcharge). Goes very much against the ACCC’s maximum allowed surcharge. This practice is very disingenuous. Either increase your prices or reduce the surcharge.
Dont buy from this SHOP EVERRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!! the lady serving was lazy and bad attitude Charge 50 cents for extra small paper bag to cover the bread from the air exposure . We bought $20 worth of bread and still charge 50 cents for 1 extra small paper bag .
Used to love the rolls here afew years back. In the last week have tried ordering from here twice on doordash, and both times have been cancelled due to 'Technical difficulties with restaurant'. Will not be ordering here again, and would not recommend it.
My favourite banh mi on the north shore. Would recommend the grilled pork.

If I could give zero stars I would! This place had the best Coconut Mazzini, however this morning I purchased one which was stale and hard and the filling was off, when I told the girl she went to the back, returning with an answer "they go
Good baguettes and danishes. Price is reasonable. Good customer service. I bought almond tart which was not to standards and the lady was kind enough to inform the kitchen and replaced it for me. Love this place and will recommend it.
Was with my husband for over 6 weeks while he was in the Royal North Shore Hospital. This became my favourite bakery. The pizza is a meal in itself. The eclairs, Apple turnovers and the custard filled profiteroles were delicious!
THE BEST BAHN MI EVER!!! The grilled pork was absolutely amazing!! It was new to me and a happy accident as thought it was the roast pork. Such a fantastic selection and so well priced. Thank you from my dancing tastebuds!!!!
Terrible staff member who shouted at my daughter when she was buying a mushroom pizzette. You upset my daughter- what a terrible person you are. Staff here are all very unfriendly but this woman was exceptionally rude
Haven’t tried their banh mi so can’t comment but would really recommend against buying their bread.. tried a couple of times and both v disappointing. Literally tastes like uncooked dough with zero flavour..
Had roast pork Banh Mi. The roll and salad were fresh and tasty. Unfortunately the roast pork was a disappointment. It’s cold, salty and hard crackling. Should have just got a salad Banh Mi instead. More
Asked for extra coriander which was 50 cents extra as per the sign on the wall. The server asked for extra 1dollar for little bit more of coriander and said veggie prices are going up. Come on. Really?
Chatswood's best kept secret! Great bahn mi sandwiches with lots of options. Very fresh baguette and ingredients. The renovation and upgraded ordering process made the experience more streamlined too.
I have bought cheese salad rolls several times and have enjoyed them very much. Prices are reasonable too. I don't really know what some others are complaining for? Perhaps they just fuss pots?
Savory baked goods are tasty, but I suspect limited cleanliness during preparation since the vanilla slice tasted like onions. Chopping board and knives need to be cleaned before reuse!
Delicious, quick and cheap Vietnamese rolls conveniently located at the Westfield Chatswood (lower) food court. The bakehouse also has fresh bread and tasty sweet and savoury treats
This is the most famous bakery in chatswood. The banh mi of this bakery is really very delicious. If you want to try banh mi then I will recommend vina bakehouse. Thanks❤️. …
The passion fruit cheesecake was not very fresh or had any taste. The jelly layer at the top is so rubbery I couldn’t even cut it with a steak knife, let alone bite into it.
Pork roll must be one of the seven wonders of the world it is that good. $10 is also an absolutely reasonable price and was very satisfied with the quick service
Rolls are nice, but customer service is non existent, especially the angry, old Asian lady. Lift your game Vina Bakehouse, your customers can make or break you.
Their chicken rool was very tasty. Even the staffs were very friendly and food was so so amazinggg. I would recommend everyone to go vina bakery .
Nice bakery. Brand new shop after some renovations. Been coming here for bread and desserts for years. Absolutely recommend this small bakery
Their food is nice but Their staffs are awful!!! They are not kind at all. I guess the owner has no idea how their staffs treat customers.
Ordered the pork roll. Bread roll is nice but the pork is dry, lacks sauce and veggies are a bit bland. The spinach roll was ok too.
Long line at lunch is worthwhile! absolutely love this place. Best Viet Banh Mi roll in Sydney. I dare you to challenge me to that!
Best roast pork Bahn Mi's I've had, amazing bread and pastries. Easy to run in and get lunch as it's close to the exit doors.
Got there just before the lunch rush, Banh Mi was great, not too wet not too dry, service was fast. I'll eat here again!
I heard about the recent food safety & hygiene breaches by this restaurant & that it was fined. Not a good look.
Solid option for a pork roll in Chatswood. Good portion size. Recommend the classic pork roll or the roast pork.
Staff is very nice, happy hour is always good! Delicious rice paper rolls highly recommend!
Great experience staff is extremely polite and easy to approach. Will be coming back.
The best croissants in Sydney, in my opinion - just like being in Paris.
Best banhmi for affordable prices. Must try for authentic banhmi.
This bakery just failed food inspection... be ware people.
The food is fine, but the service is pathetic.
I tried chicken roll it was delicious.
Delicious food, I am keen on the roll!
very good service lady was very kind
Roast pork rolls were very good!
The toast pork roll is awesome!
Best pork rolls ever …
Nice food, perfect service.
Best bakery I've ever eaten
