This has to be the absolute WORST Walgreens to come to. When i arrived at 11:15a there were 4 cars ahead of me. At 12 they got out of line and drove off. 2 more cars pulled up behind me and they drove off after sitting another 15mins. A lady in a truck parked and went inside. She stated after she came out that she sat 30min and decided to go inside and now coming back to her car the exact car is still at the window. If there is an issue with a prescription at the window, it is best to have them come inside. I personally do not use this walgreens but each time i have come for someone else, this has been the problem. The staff is not pleasant at all. I will do my best to never use this Walgreens for myself personally. I called and spoke with charlene and she stated, "We get to you when we get to you, so you can come inside if you want". Doesn't that defeat the purpose of coming through the drive thru during COVID? Really, i made it to the window at 12:57p. There are now 5 cars behind me and they go to lunch at 1:30p. If they service each car at 30-45 mins each, those cars will not make it before their 1hour lunch. HORRIBLE! Wish i could give ZERO stars!

I am leaving a one star review, not because of the quality or professionalism of the staff, but because of the blight this property has allowed itself to become in our neighborhood. The landscaping is not maintained, the building is covered in poorly spray-painted street tags, and the perimeter of the site is littered with trash and drug paraphernalia. Attached to the back of the property is a building that has seemingly been left abandoned for years, which has become a haven for individuals suffering with drug addictions to gather and inject drugs and hang out, many times unconscious from intoxication. The Walgreens website boasts “Through our Community initiatives we support the following United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): No Poverty Zero Hunger Good Health and Well-Being” I would like to hold this Walgreens accountable for its’ negligence, which has contributed to the development of unsafe blight, while also knowingly turning a blind eye to the obvious social issues which have made this property a detriment to the safety and well-being of a great neighborhood. I look forward to seeing these issues resolved.

Pharmacy staff went above and beyond when I needed a prescription transferred due to leaving it at home 300 miles away while we're here visiting. However, about 9pm on a Wednesday there were 3 women working the front of the store register and all three were in a sour mood. The one who checked me never smiled, she mumbled, when I asked what she said (amount) she just pointed at the screen, she never said thank you, and I even smiled and said, "You all must be having a bad day" and she replied in a low mumble, "No were not". Then I stood there and smiled again waiting for her to look at me and she finally did and said, "What?" I replied, "I'm just smiling and being friendly." She did NOT answer me, but instead turned away and said, "Next customer". RUDE RUDE RUDE. Needs to be fired or reprimanded and definitely retrained. NOT the kind of service we get in Texas. Way beneath Walgreen's standards. I went out of my way to be nice and was ready to say something nice and supportive about their day, but instead I got a very cold shoulder. Bad employee. A+ pharmacy, though.

I went to the pharmacy on 05/11/2017 around 3:00pm the sales person behind the pharmacy never acknowledged my presents. I was behind the line that states to wait here. A lady with a baby came and the sales person stated a conversation with the lady another lady came from behind the counter walked in front of me and never anything. After about 15 mins. I said I'm here to pick up a prescription for Elaine Valentine. The sales person checked and said we do not have a prescription for Elaine Valentine I ASK IS THE PRESCRIPTION NOT READY she states no we do not have a prescription I leave. I call Elaine she stated the doctor called the prescription in around 1 o' clock. Elaine calls her doctor the pharmacy told the doctors nurse that they were busy so that's what they told me because the prescription was not ready. They think Walgreens is between Happy and Healthy. Walgreens is between Unhappy and Unhealthy. Where do they fine these people everyone in that department would be looking for a new job.

pharmacy treats me like absolute garbage every time i call to check on my meds. i've asked probably 5 times over the last year to merge my accounts and stop calling me when my doctor calls my prescription in too early to be filled and they still haven't done it. i know it is too early to be filled. i'm not the one calling it in. tell my doctor that. everyone i talk to interrupts me and snaps at me when i try to explain the situation. i'll get everything from 'your insurance doesn't cover it' to 'we're out of stock' to 'it's on backorder' to 'it's too early to be filled' in the same call. they will keep interrupting me and repeat loudly over and over that my meds are a controlled substance, when i'm calling about a completely different med that is dangerous for me to lapse on (and have done so several times because of this kind of thing). but i can barely get a word in. i've had patient advocates call on my behalf and they don't get spoken to like i do. it's humiliating.

I wouldn’t recommend nobody to this pharmacy they are very unorganized and unprofessional I have been trying to get my medicine since yesterday morning 04/22/2023 the man took my prescription yesterday and told me it’ll be a 30 minute wait so I waited in pain and he just left to go on lunch break instead of giving me my medicine so I came back a little later and still again they said it wasn’t ready yet. So I’m back today trying to get my prescription 4/23/2023 and was told by a woman it never got sent over so I told them it was a paper prescription so now I’m being told to wait about another 30 minutes it’ll be ready!!! Back at 5:33 just getting my medicine. I had to stay in pain this long all because of this pharmacyI will never go back to these people. All the waiting I did to still have to wait ain’t no way!!!!!!!!All the pain im in this is unbelievable!!NOBODY IS PROFESSIONAL NOMORE IN NEWORLEANS.

This is the worst stocked Walgreens in the New Orleans metro area. I blame management. I rarely see more then one cashier up front and two to three stock people on the entire floor. ENTIRE four foot sections are unspoken in multiple places across the store all the time! I often have to go check out in the pharmacy to avoid the long line of angry customers up front.. The lock on their liquor cabinet has been broken since the Tokyo 2020/2021 Olympics! NOT KIDDING! How do you run a national chain store with managers who leave broken cabinets FULL OF UNSELLABLE PRODUCT FOR MORE THEN A YEAR! AGAIN, MANAGEMENT IS THE PROBLEM. NOT the overworked understaffed employees who have to run around like chickens with there heads cut off putting out fires at this location!

Pharmacist, Huong vu, tried to essentially shame my pregnant wife for taking a certain medication she took safely and successfully with our first child and has already had filled several times at this particular Walgreens. The pharmacist refused to fill the script and implied she was needlessly risking the safety of our unborn son! Despite the fact our doctor has repeatedly assured us of its safety and has even cited clinical studies regarding its safety. How dare you! You are interfering in someone's health, superseding their doctors diagnosis, passing judgement and making an already sensitive pregnant woman feel despondent! How dare you! Count the damn pills and shut up!!! It's Friday and doc won't be able to resolve until Monday. Never again!!!

These people are amazing, been going here for over 5 years. This location puts up with a lot of bad attitude from tourist and drunks, and remains professional. Although the pharmacy has their moments of slow lines; they are prompt and pleasant. Everything is clean, stocked well, yet "clearance" prices are not accurate at checkout half the time. Security has improved alot over the years (attitude wise). Sometimes the register workers are understaffed and the line is longer than usual, which isn't fair to the worker on a weekend. I do enjoy the clearance items after holidays! Also all the consistency on where everything is located. I can navigate this store easy.

The pharmacy is horrible!!! I went there to pick up my babies antibiotics, mind you I called ahead of time. I get there of course nobody is at the register, the pharmacist could barely handle one customer . Finally after waiting for 10 minutes, tech finally decides to walk to the register. When I tell her my child’s name she says “oh we don’t have anything” I’m like that’s not what I was told over the phone. She begins to tell me my child’s medication was out of stock. I was livid , this was something that should’ve been communicated over the phone. This isn’t my usual pharmacy, and I see why very incompetent staff. NEVER AGAIN!! I rather drive to Slidell.

I am a senior citizen; I had a prescription to pickup. I called the store. A recording came on stating what department; I needed the pharmacy department. I waited 20 minutes, then it stated there's one customer ahead of you. I was shocked that no one answer the phone. All sudden it disconnected. Poor service. NO ONE will answer the phone. I made several attempts, still no one answered the phone. They need a best solution or system in providing a best way to handle telephone calls. I gave Walgreens (1) one star...they don't deserve a star. Apparently, the management aren't doing a great job to see whether or not the answering system is working properly ☹️

This has to be the worst Walgreens in the city. Extremely rude (maybe 60s, tall woman) cashier who works at night is the reason I’ll never shop there again despite living within walking distance. I’ve had a problem with this woman every time I go in there - she talks to some customers so poorly. I say some because I’ve seen her be nice and talkative with some people and then turn around and snap at the next person. I try to be as nice as I can everywhere I go - I’ve worked retail for years. I don’t understand how someone with this nasty of an attitude can still have a job. You can check my other reviews for other places - I never write negative reviews.

I had an unfortunate experience with the pharmacy staff after they made a mistake with giving me the wrong prescription last night and now I have to go out of my way and come back again today before work. That wasn't what really upset me. What really upset me was the rude woman who I spoke with today. She was quite abrasive in tone and then made excuses for staff saying I likely spoke with the cashier, not the pharmacist. I assured her, I spoke with both women. The reason for the high review is due to Tracy the store manager whom I spoke with immediately because I don't feel any customer should be treated that way, especially after a staff mistake.

Ive been trying to get my meds refilled for 5 days now. They keep telling me that they don't have it in stock because it's not a common dosage, but that itll be in tomorrow, over and over again. Finally, today they ask me if I've been on this medication before, and if they had bothered to look at all they'd see I've been on it and filling it there for at least a year. Now they tell me it's because they need my doctors authorization. I have 3 refills left. Why couldn't someone have told me this sooner. I'm withdrawing. They symptoms of withdrawal are incredibly serious. These people could literally kill me because of their incompetence.

DO NOT USE THIS PHARMACY!!!! Horrible customer service, doesn't keep up with anything( as in they "misplaced" my medication profile twice, a day after one another. For 1 prescription BTW) then said that the meds weren't ready. So I go back next day after calling hours before MAKING SURE they were ready. Got there and was told again that my profile couldn't be find, 10 minutes later she finds it and says, " oh one doesn't have a refill on it and I'll have to have the other filled.".... Have the one filled that I had been told twice by two people before that it WAS ready. Absolutely Ridiculous

This pharmacy has always screwed up my prescriptions. Got shorted three months in a row on a controlled substance. They refused to make it right because they weren't counted in front of me. A few months ago I threatened to report them and the pharmacist told me to come over. When I got to the counter she pulled the medicine out of her pocket and gave me more than what she had originally shorted me. They shorted me again two days ago. Instead of calling the pharmacy and arguing with them I called Walgreens corporate and the DEA. This location is now closed. That was fast.

This pharmacy is the absolute worst. I had 2 prescriptions which were both supposed to be ready. I received multiple calls, emails, and text informing that they were ready for pickup. After waiting in line for 20mins, Erin the so-called manager tells me that NEITHER is ready. Then she tells me that its "not their fault" cause it's an automated system. One prescription I could understand but 2 that were called in on different days? The least they could do would be acknowledged their mistake, but as usual they just pass the buck. I for one am taking my business elsewhere!

This pharmacy is horrible! I just dropped off a prescription and there is nothing happening there in the pharmacy--not one customer!. I had to call out for someone and the pharmacist came by the window. I asked if I could wait and she said NO because she was the only one there and she is soon going to lunch! Mind you NO ONE WAS THERE WAITING! I asked her if it would be ready today and she said she had no idea! And the prescription was for an eye drop that does not require any counting or dispensing. It's just one bottle! So sad the options are few around here.

This is one of the worst run pharmacies I have ever been to. I stood in the window for a full 10 minutes while the woman searched through bins for my prescription (since they don't keep them organized alphabetically like in well run pharmacies), rang me up without using my insurance, wandered off a few times to do who knows what, and then asked me for my insurance card again (she still had it). Meanwhile, the woman running the drive through shut a man's hand in the window and then joked about it rather than offering any genuine apology.

Old pharmacist was fine. New pharmacist this year refuses to give me my medication unless I go IN PERSON every month to "verify with her that I am not pregnant" even though I am too old to get pregnant and then sit around and wait for them to fill my medication. Is this some religious Catholic thing? I contact Walgreen's customer service to complain and they were completely unresponsive and said they "stand by their pharmacists' decisions". This crazy lady needs to be FIRED. Will no longer use Walgreen's pharmacy.

If there was a 0 star option, I’d select it. Every month there’s an issue and no one that works there seems to know what customer service is nor basic facts of their industry. I’ve been hung up on and not carded for my controlled substance. I’ve had the wrong prescription given to me. They need to fire their entire staff and start again because there’s not one redeemable person that works there and I will NEVER be back. I never leave bad reviews for places but their current two star rating is much, MUCH too high

The pharmacy here is the absolute worst. I have medication that I *need* to take every day for my thyroid and getting it filled here is a nightmare. I submit a refill request and it just gets cancelled for no reason. I submitted a refill 2 days ago and it's still not filled. They're consistently out of medications, like birth control and beta blockers. If you go to another pharmacy to get your prescription transferred the new pharmacy will not be able to contact this pharmacist to get the transfer.

Worst Walgreens in the city. My prescriptions have never once been ready even though I call them in the day before. I don’t mind waiting a few minutes, but the wait is usually around an hour. A couple of the pharmacy staff are exceptionally nice and helpful, but the majority are rude and just awful. And let’s not forget the gigantic pot hole at the entrance to the parking lot. I’m moving my prescriptions uptown, hopefully another store will have it together though I’m not hopeful at this point.

Got a prescription for ear drops called in because of an ear infection. First they called and left a message to tell me it was out of stock. When I called back to ask if it was in stock at other Walgreens locations they said they accidentally deleted the prescription order. I asked why and they said probably because it was out of stock. It is a weekend and I can’t get a hold of my doctor until Monday. Ear is throbbing. The employee that handled the prescription is named Sandra.

I am just astounded at how long it takes to get a prescription here, it was filled yesterday and I’ve been here waiting in line for 30 minutes and there’s nobody in line I’m at the drive-through and it’s took 20 minutes for someone to even come to the window. I have the dogs in the car so I didn’t want to go inside and leave them in the car and I’m just in shock people in the car behind me Have actually gotten out of their car to come and try to figure out what’s going on

Worst pharmacy I’ve ever been to. They priced me out at over $50 for my prescriptions- I went down to the CVS down the street and it was less than $20. Besides the price difference, the folks at the pharmacy had the poorest attitudes I’ve encountered in a long time. They also made me come back three times for my prescription.. the third time I took it to CVS instead. CVS magically was able to fill out prescriptions for half the price in under 15 minutes. You do the math.

Poor service. Staff neither manager on duties from today knew about the vouchers for internationals to have the return back. What a difference from the day before when I attended and the previous manager asked me to return with my passport. I was also refused to have the form for suggestions and complaints and given a telephone number which only works when you have a receipt which I don't have as I was told go to another walgreens instead. Bad very bad.

Like most adults, I've been a Walgreen's customer basically all my life. But was shocked and incredibly disappointed to discover this location does not offer a "public restroom". I get what they are trying to avoid but denying paying customers use of facilities is just poor judgement at best and horrible customer service at worst. No Public Restroom? How about paying customer restroom?! I guess I'll be choosing CVS as much as possible.

Two months in a row I’ve called to refill a prescription that I can only refill one day in advance, and which I cannot refill online. Both times, I was on hold for over an hour, and had to hang up and call back multiple times. As a result, I haven’t been able to get my prescription on time two months in a row. This most recent time, I waited until 2:30 since I know their lunch is 1:30-2, and I was on hold until my phone died at 3:45.

Long story short, paid for 3 different lyfts for 2 different visits at the time I was told by the pharmacy only to have to stand/sit on crutches for 35 minutes while they took care of everyone who came in after me because they had my pain killers under the wrong name. $45, almost an hour total between 2 visits, a lot of frustration, and a throbbing leg later, I'm left disappointed and irritated to put it extremely mildly.

Third time this has happened. You can submit online, won't be ready after confirmation. Then you show up, they tell you it's at a pharmacy location you've never used, then they say, "oops, it's going to take us 2 hours to get ready" then you'll get, "your insurance says you haven't paid your premium." You show them its paid and they say, "sir, we can't help you at this time." Ridiculously and consistently stupid.

I have been going to this store since I moved here from MN(8 years now). I have ALWAYS been treated great!... very friendly and helpful! Crystell has taken care of me for as long as I remember. She is always smiling and courteous. She is not only nice to me, but to everyone she is in contact with. I believe she should be acknowledged for her YEARS of great service! Good help is very hard to find!!!

This is the o e walgreens in the area where the western union kiosk is actually one but then the lazy cashier lady claims not to have any money for the western union. What is it about western unions that so mamy stores dont wanna do them? They are always "down." Or they dont have the bank. Wonder if calling walgreens corporate or western union customer service would do anything. Probably not.

This is the worst pharmacy I have ever been to. Even my doctor hates to call this place. Everyone is so busy having an attitude that they can't do anything right. There is an issue every month with my prescription and the staff does not care. It's sad because people rely on medication and deserve to deal with people who actually care to do their job. I hope this place gets knocked down.

I wanted to personally thank Miss Catherine for helping me so much in the photo area today.The day gets 5 stars the staff is great. If you go in after 5pm the clerks and manager are unprofessional and aggressive. Pharmacy is good just don't go after 3pm. The nite manager is very unprofessional and very unpleasant. Plus the panhandling outside at nite is also aggressive.

The worst Walgreens ever. Electronically ordered 3 photos to be printed for child’s school project and after getting to the store 45min later was told photo person called in so no one else working there could print out 3 photos. Sent order to the one in St. Bernard no problems. I can’t stand this Walgreens. Never was good. Horribly rude service!

When Mr.Charles works in the car phamacy line or inside he always is fast,listens to my needs,and always has a positive attitude towards customers.Dont get me wrong some of the lady's are kind as well and helpful, but sometimes some of the workers seem aggravated easily get some customers can be unbearable but thats not all of us.

This pharmacy always has the slowest workers. I has an appointment for a booster today at 1010. After standing in line for 30 minutes I was told they don't have the manpower to do they vaccination appointments they have schedule and I'll have to wait 30 more minutes and yet I actually had to wait another hour to get the shot.

The people who work at this Walgreens are either incredibly stupid or incredibly or rude or both. The pharmacy is the worst in town, there is always a line, they have screwed up my prescriptions every single time I’ve had to get one filled. Please go anywhere else if you have even the smallest option to do so.

The only reason they didn't get 1 star is because staff is friendly if nothing else. Having said that, I'd rather drive across town to a different Walgreens than go to this pharmacy and guarantee myself a minimum thirty minute wait in line regardless of time of day. Absolute nightmare just to pick up an Rx.

Went to Walgreens tonight and had to get help from the young lady at the register - she could not have been more thoughtful and kind. It really made a hard day better. I didn't get her name but she has gorgeous pink hair, just as sweet as her personality. Total professional. What a treasure, thank you.

I have been going to this pharmacy for at least three years. It used to be horrible. Continuously understaffed, the lines would be horrible and the scripts wouldn't be ready. It would constantly be an ordeal. However, lately it has greatly improved. I haven't been having any problems in the past year.

The staff is always rude to customers and I have been given someone else medication and they didn't say sorry for the mistake. When the pharmacy is busy and your on the line they will just hang up on you after waiting for a hour. This has happened more than once. BAD SERVICE!!

Hours state open until 11 PM. Just went over there at 7:50 PM and it was locked up, the gate down. This happens often, they close and open whenever they feel like it, pharmacy loses prescriptions all the time, claims doctors never send them… it’s the worst Walgreens in town.

Staff was super helpful but don't expect to use their restroom. They have closed it due to covid despite the fact that the St. Charles store keeps theirs open. Quick fix: go for the drugs, leave because you gotta pee.

Worst place. They have all sorts of basic products locked up I guess because of thieves, so you have to push a button, but there is nobody there to actually respond to the button and open the case for you

Line wrapped around to corner of store. 1 cashier. Employees uniform was dirty with holes everywhere (not the ripped kind the kids wear) horrible experience!! Will definitely go to CVS next time!

Hours are horrible, should be a 24 hour store some place on Elysian Fields. I've been to this one and it says it opens at 7 am and it's hardly open on time.
