First negative review giving to this outlet coz they deserve it !! Walgreen should really retrain them or replace them. They are the most rude / laziest pharma outlet I have ever seen and I mean it. Other day, CVS failed to verify my insurance and I tried my luck here. Man-o-man what a mistake I made! After waiting on line for 15 mins, one addresses me, took my insurance card etc , created a profile and to give a medicate of guess what a mouthwash and Ibprofine ( I could have gotten from outlet right outside ), they asked me for 50 mins. I returned home went back after 4 hours, they still havent prepared my drop off.. I came back went next day, and they still havent done.. I waited for another 20 minutes ( pushed em ), one created my pick up.. and when I went back to collect after 20 minutes, lady said, your pick up is missing one prescription and they started looking each shelf for another 10 minutes.. All this for mouth wash and Ibprofile.. and the Irony is.. when they charged me, I said its 25 bucks... You sure its 25 bucks ?? I asked her and said yea.. I paid that then I came back and called my Insurance what happened here.. and my Insurance says .. they didnt ran an insurance so you paid full amount.. The mouth wash and Ibprofine cost 3 and 2 bucks total of 5 bucks in Walmart ( without prescription ) !! I feel so sorry for you ppls man... This is why Layoff is MANDATORY for these clowns.. They are not worthy to be employed .. Not helpful for customer.. Nor good representatives of the firm they are employed with !!
The pharmacy is HORRIBLE. Seriously...go to the one at Northwestern or at Erie and Lake Shore for less issues. You cannot get through on the phone....you press 0 to speak to someone and no one picks up. It is impossible to get good service because they're seemingly incredibly understaffed. I went to this location because of the drive thru but it's been more trouble than I can even type about. Seriously....do yourself a favor and go to another Walgreens. The worst thing about this Walgreens is that there are a minimum of 4 homeless guys at the front door of this store 24 hours a day....365 days a year. I have never complained like this before but it is really frustrating. You will never be able to get in or out without someone asking for money. It is hard for so many reasons to make this your regular pharmacy. Update June 2016 Ok... So they are a little bit better now about answering the phone. But there are still a lot of homeless people out front that harass you as you come in and out of the store. But the worst thing now is that they are no longer a 24 hour pharmacy. I work weird hours and that made it very convenient, especially because they have a drive up window. It is still convenient but the hours really blow, especially for downtown. Now they're only open from 7 AM to 11 PM and I just don't get that. Going from a 24 hour store to closing at 11 PM?
I moved out of the city and stopped going to this Walgreens thank god. The employees were regularly rude and the pharmacy staff completely nonexistent. You could wait 30 min just pick up a prescription even if there was only 1 person in front of you. Today I went in for the first time in years for a flu shot and was glad to see nothing has changed. NOTHING. I had an appointment at noon (not lunch break hours btw) and there was 1 person in front of me for a prescription. There was no one behind the counter or anywhere to be found. We waited forever for someone to appear. They finally did and the wait period for getting the shot I signed up for was undefined. Why even bother asking people to schedule if you just do whatever. I’ve never seen a Walgreens pharmacy operated like this but it’s terrible. Go to another pharmacy this place is nothing but a time suck. I ended up just leaving and will go somewhere else.
This is the WORST pharmacy I have ever visited. Extremely disorganized, lines are out the door because it’s very poorly staffed. The staff don’t know what they are doing and taking 30+ minutes per person to assist ready pickups. Prescriptions are scattered on the floor and the staff is roaming through them to find anything. How is this pharmacy even allowed to legally functions…this never happens at any other pharmacies. I’ve wasted over an hour just to be told to come back in three hours because my prescription that was sent two days ago wasn’t ready…literally do not waste your time even trying to fill anything here.I wish I could give it negative stars rating because it doesn’t even come close to deserving one star
If I could give zero stars, I would my child was supposed to have their second Covid vaccine upcoming but is sick and I called to ask for help to reschedule it and they told me I could just do it online but I was having issues and when I said I had called a different Walgreens and they were willing to help me, but then they realize they called the wrong Walgreens. I called the correct Walgreens. And the ladies like I don’t have a problem with rescheduling I’m just busy and we ended the call there without her, helping me reschedule. Hopefully I can figure it out on my own. When is Walgreens not busy that’s a poor reason for not helping somebody!!
I'll never trust this walgreens again after last night. Either its the employees doing it or the manager is telling the employees to do it or the manager is doing it. When milk sits out on the counter for the entire day you don't put it back on the shelf. The milk I got last night tasted sour about midnight when my daughter wanted a bottle. I realized it after I was going go make a cup. I've been sick for 10days so I couldn't smell it but I could taste it an it was horrid. Bacteria can grow in milk I'm sure anyone with a brain knows this. I hope we don't get too sick because I'm 29 weeks pregnant as well. The milk isn't even curding.
Gone for 6 minutes and came back to a $218.50 tow bill plus a Lyft. I parked my truck and returned to it 6 minutes later to find it was gone. They had it towed. The guy at the frost desk said “yeah we had it towed after 2 minutes” really great dude if you know what I mean. I stopped here to get a drink and some snack for a long drive home. There is a Hard Rock Cafe across the street. My fiancé collects their pins so ran into the hard rock to quickly buy some. Turns out they were the most expensive pins I’ve ever got her. Then I went back to Walgreens to find my truck was gone. I didn’t even have a chance to buy anything.
Walgreens is the absolute worst!! I stopped going to all Walgreens in 2009 due to perpetual bad service. I live in an area triangulated by 3 Walgreens so I decided to give another chance after all these year...they are even worse now! I filled a script at one of the 3 Walgreens and I just called one of the other 2 and was told that I can only get refill where I originally got it filled. What?? When did Walgreens become segmented stores. If you are too lazy to do work, go somewhere else. But that seems to be the theme at Walgreens pharmacies, disengaged, rude and lazy employees. I'm going back to CVS permanently!
Hope its closed until they can replace their entire pharmacy staff. They are the most unprofessional careless people. I have multiple corporate complaints against this location. They routinely fail to run it through the insurance. If you speak to the woman she will swear up and down that they did. I watched her turn away half the line of confused people who said they have been receiving that medication for years. I called my insurance after they refused to fill my insulin properly. My insurance says the pharmacy never attempted to bill insurance. Yet she refused to double check this!
This pharmacy is the worst one I’ve ever been to here in Chicago. If I didn’t live less than 2 blocks away I’d go somewhere else. My prescriptions are ALWAYS delayed. I can’t get anyone on the phone. They’ve given me incorrect info time and time again, not to mention the incredibly rude and unprofessional staff! It’s disgusting. It’s stressful anytime I need to pick up a prescription- and that is often. I may need to bite the bullet and just walk to a further location, it’s just not worth the stress & frustration.
Three low class uneducated disrespectful employees behind the counter talking amongst themselves as I was waiting to pay for my items completely ignoring me. I told the young "lady" that I didnt appreciate being ignored and she stormed out saying " I dont have time for this, i'm bout to get off." Another large female employee starts arguing with me. Manager allows the employees to behave as a gang in the store. This location is a haven for dangerous people and for lawless behavior. Close this walgreens down!!!
Aggressive homeless people everywhere out front and inside! I was actually panhandled INSIDE the store? I have been a big city guy all my life.. Most places at least attempt to control the homeless people on and in their property. Its a Walgreens owned parking lot in front.. I could have counted 15 homeless people wandering the parking lot. I don't understand the lack of concern about the safety of YOUR customers on YOUR property. Avoid this place! Something is not right about it.
This is one of the best locations in Chicago. Read that again with the emphasis on location. This is one of the few places downtown Chicago that has a drive-thru to pick up your prescriptions. It is very easy to get to get to this place and they have their own parking lot. I have been coming here for more than 20 years. I highly recommend this place. Sometimes the lines can be a little long either at the checkout counter or in the Drive-Thru to pick up prescriptions.
Idk who I spoke to at the pharmacy on the phone but the guy was SO rude right out of the gate. He cut me off while I was trying to explain why I was calling with “date of birth.” and then just said “name.” and then “medication.” Like I’m very sorry you had to answer the phone, do your job, and answer 2 simple questions. At the end he was clearly annoyed and just said “anything else.” after providing half-answers and no update on when I can pick up my rx lol
I hate leaving bad reviews but I’ve never dreaded having to fill an Rx before. I routinely spend 30+ minutes on hold with the pharmacy only to deal with rude staff. In the past week I’ve been on hold for 3+ hours total. Twice after holding for 20 minutes they hung up without ever answering the call. When you mention anything about this, including asking about better times to call/if visiting in person is preferred, the responses are awful.
Average about 20 mins on hold when calling the pharmacy and that's if they even answer - generally they just hang up. Pharmacy employees are the slowest movers and workers I've ever seen - it's as if their job is a chore rather than a job. I'm livid CVS doesn't take my insurance anymore - CVS and its pharmacy staff are 100000 times more competent than the people at this Walgreen's pharmacy.
Do NOT order photo products here. This photo area is completely disorganized and will botch your order, almost guaranteed. I made the mistake of placing 4 orders here over 2 weeks and had a problem each time. Walgreen's made a big mistake eliminating the dedicated photo specialist position. They're foolish to think they'll keep their customers, especially for complex products.
Pharmacy and staff is friendly but pharmacy is extremely slow. I’ve stopped in about 4x now to pick up an rX and left out of frustration from a non moving line. One of the times I was there alone for about 10-15 mins straight at the counter with no service at all. It’s clear they are understaffed but they have got to find a way to be more efficient.
I don't know what happened to this place! The pharmacy has constant delays with little to no communication and ridiculously long wait times. I keep trying to give them another chance but I think it's about time to move on and make the nearby CVS my go-to. The hours may be more limited but at least they're more reliable during those limited hours.
The store Manager Ray is very rude he was talking to employees as if he was the one who pays them he is not wearing closed toe shoes he wears flip flops to work what a way to represent the company he threatens to fire employees how about Walgreens fire him. He doesn’t deserve to work for Walgreens that store can do way way better without him
If I could, I would give this Pharmacy 0 stars. After waiting 3 days for my prescription to be ordered, I went in myself to check on the progress. The life saving medication I need daily had been “forgotten” to be ordered! When I told them I NEED it today, the reply was check Greek town. This is medical negligence. Do not use this pharmacy!!
Walked here for a test so I can travel back to Canada. They said I had to go through the drive thru. Given I don't have a car, I had to call an Uber to take me through it, and he wasn't happy either, as you can expect. The policies at this company just seem so backwards. In Canada, you can walk into any pharmacy and get a test done.
I walked in for a COVID-19 vaccine and was turned away because I did not have an appointment (when it clearly states everywhere that walk-ins are welcome). There was no one in line, and they could have registered me on the spot, but they did not want to. I walked over to CVS, no issues, walk-in was honored as advertised there.
Don’t think I’ll ever come back to this store because AGGRESSIVE HOMELESS PEOPLE HANG OUT IN FRONT OF IT& this is a MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN. Two of them were there when I came in the store, and when I came out, it was 4 homeless people standing there begging aggressively. The store itself is average, customer service is slow.
I was unable to write the review via the website noted on the receipt so I'll just leave this right here. Kiarra was great! When I arrived the systems were down due to routine maintenance. She let me know what was going on and was wonderful to speak with while we waited for them to reboot. Very friendly and professional!
This is a horrible store. Apparently I took to long in the store cause I got towed. I had a rental so I didn't recognize the plate. So there I was with my kids in a city I don't know with no car. 218$plus 25 in a cab fee. I'll never shop there again . I am calling corporate and something will be done.
I am very disappointed this location does not carry Redrageous Mike n’ Ike’s despite assurance from the management team to the contrary. A good friend of mine has stopped in every day in hope to buy these marvelous candies in bulk. Please add these to your inventory at your earliest convenience.
Worst Walgreen ever. The line was too long and one cashier was open to serve more than 15 people. An angry person has approached the cashier and the manager did not know how to deescalate the situation. The store is filled with homeless people and shoplifter. Avoid shopping at this site.
Waited over 15 min to check in for a Vaccination appointment. Even though there were several people working no one greeted me. Completely ignored until I called out to someone. Then was asked to wait longer. Not a pleasant experience but typical of my Walgreens experiences
Store manager decided people with no car can not take a covid testing with walk up. Said patients should get a taxi or uber to go through the test window. How do you ensure the uber driver is safe while the people getting tests think they are possibly infected??
The attitude of the employee Abelina was unpleasant, who did not help at all to clarify the confusion of prices that they had with various items. She made me spend more money than I should have, and waste a lot of time. Lots of disorganization, poor management.
I have been trying for over an hour and a half to reach the pharmacy. I am informed that there are a specific number callers ahead of me so I understand that they are busy. I am waiting for my turn and over and over again the phone is disconnected. I give up.
I just want to brag on the customer service. I wish I had gotten the lady's name who helped me, but she was just pleasant and very sweet. I stayed at the Moxy near this location so I visited about 3 times during my trip. I appreciate kind service.
The pharmacists are incompetent and cannot count pills. I’ve received two prescriptions in the past month with the wrong number of pills per the amount on the label. I’m moving everyone to CVS… this place is shady shady!!
Super convenient. This Walgreens has a drive-through and parking. I'm not sure why anyone would rank them less than 5 stars. Not a lot of people have cars in this area of Chicago but if you do use the Clark st store.
Waited to speak to a pharmacist for about an hour, phone rang to connect and no one picked up 7 times, finally when i spoke to someone they were extremely rude and when i tried to ask a question they hung up on me.
The environment was much more pleasant, far better than being in the one at home in (Detroit). The alcohol was much cheaper. The employees as well as the people were pleasant. I just enjoyed my visit there …
Corporate Walgreens needs to use their billions dollars revenue to add staff to ALL of their pharmacies. Especially when they close nearby pharmacies. Longer than Hour lates are all locations including this one.
I had an excellent experience getting immunization shots. I walked in without prior appointment and Rojelio (cashier) very quickly organized everything. Pharmacy staff was kind, fast and polite.
Pharmacy check-in customer service skills are desperately lacking. Barks out incomplete statements meant to be questions. No subtleties or courtesies given or in response. Just totally obsolete!
It’s a pretty standard Walgreens nothing special. Just stopped by to pick up a few things, I was in and out very quick and got everything I needed. Pretty good selection of items though.
430 appt for COVID vax and took an hour to be seen. Understaffed and poor intake system. Online forms don't work so need to redo when arrive. Don't waste time in advance.
If there were negative stars they should receive them. Absolutely the worse place to attempt to fill a prescription. Rude employees who essentially do not want to help.
Pedro the manager is awesome. Super friendly even in the thick of business on a Saturday night! Can’t imagine what his job is like but he handles the pressure well! Xo
WORST. PHARMACY. EVER - extremely RUDE, disorganized, disrespectful and discriminatory. If there were negative stars, this one would receive -25.
They kept me waiting on the phone till they closed. I wanted to check on the status of my order. Tomorrow is Memorial Day and they’re closed
Too shocked to find that car was missing after finishing the shopping. Not friendly to deal with the customers’ problems
Just your basic Walgreens just like it is anywhere else. It's clean. Everything's in the same place as everything else
They refuse to answer the phone. They will keep you on hold and wait for you to hang up.
Lost my photo film and didn’t care. Not even an apology or an attempt to help.
