Madras Engineering Group (MEG) helped the East India Company to victory in 2 battles Battle of Assaye (1803) & Battle of Meanee (1843) A majestic black tank, Stuart Tank used during World War II, was brought from North Africa by the Madras Engineering Group (MEG) as a war memorial. It was unveiled in 2005 at the junction of Assaye Road & Meanee Avenue Road (roads named after the battle) near Ulsoor Lake, on the 225th anniversary of MEG regiment

There was war memorial once upon a time. As a honour to veterans and to respect it the same was shifted to military campus area (MEG). Now you can see old African tank brought by MEG in world war II in this place. War memorials are built to respect & commemorate the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the nation.

Excellent war memorial in Bangalore. If you visit there then will come to know about our war heroes of battles. You will feel proud of our Indian Armed Forces. This war memorial is located near Rajbhawan, just opposite to Planetarium and Musical fountain. Opened from 0900 to till 1900 hrs Mon to Sun.

Old African tank placed over here by Army (MEG). Need some regular maintenance. It is not easy to bring war tanks from other countries that too during those days. Great efforts and sacrifice by our soldiers. We really should appreciate this. If well maintained and exhibited, this will be great.

It is not open to civilians only to army people so don't waste your time as no review mentions this thing. The guards ask you what is your purpose of visiting museum as they need historians only to visit this.

Nature preserved with war memories and India's power displayed lively, but it will be better if they displayed war and its memorials details by using boards and displays, and maintanence improvement needed.

A war tank is established here since the British era. The place has a very nice history behind it. Close to Ulsoor lake and many other restaurants. A Devi Mandir is also present here.

This place is at Ulsoor lake 200meters from HQ MEG &CENTRE
