I have had mixed experiences at Wasatch Touring over the past 30 years. Mostly on the not so stellar. Today was an example as to why I can not and will not recommend them to anyone. During their recent sale I bought a $300 item but before purchasing it specifically asked a sales person about returning it as I was buying it for my spouse and was not absolutely sure that it was going to work for them. Unfortunately, it did not. Two days latter I went back to the store to return it, expecting a full refund. The sales person working that day said it was a sale item and only eligible for store credit. I firmly said I would not except that, only a full return and explained that I specifically asked about returns before the purchase and was not told it would be credit only. Had I been told I would only get store credit I would have brought my spouse to the store along with comparisons before purchasing. The sales person said it was on the receipt (which one gets only after the purchase) and basically refused until I finally said that I would dispute the charge. After finally agreeing to do a refund, the clerk started to berate me and basically asked me not to come back. I definitely will not. And recommend others do the same, shop elsewhere.
Knowledge is what first took me to this place, and on top of that, fantastic customer service has kept me. I first found Wasatch Touring when I was trying to remount a backcountry ski set up back in 2013 or so in college when I was a broke lad trying to pinch pennies. In short, what I was trying to do was incredibly dangerous and impossible and their tech, I believe a guy by the name of Lou, with years of experience thankfully, caught this silly decision and politely informed me they "could" do it, but highly advised not to, and why. Likely, I owe them my life, or at least a prevented injury! On top of that, customer service. They are friendly, nonpretentious (sometimes happens at a shop, unfortunately!), and most importantly to me, they point you in the right direction gear-wise instead of just trying to sell you the highest gear. They've been around for a while and it's no accident! Please, support them so that they're many more years! That street corner would look mighty strange without their iconic logo.
I had a good experience on the whole but it could have been better. I rented touring skis to try them out before buying and was told that I could pick them up at 4pm if they hadn’t been rented out that day. I liked that because I didn’t have much time that evening to pick up the skis and prepare for the following day. However when I called on the day to see whether they had been rented out I was told “no but if you pick them up before 5 we will charge you an extra day’s rental”. Yes presumably this is the official policy but if the skis are just sitting there I don’t see how it benefits them to have me wait until 5pm. It’s not like they can rent them out to someone from 4-5pm. Anyway the rental was flawless and they ultimately gave me the rental for free as I bought an identical pair of skis from them. Good advice from the sales rep and it was a good experience although a little disappointing to be charged for mounting bindings when you’ve just spent $1700 on skis.
If I could give Wasatch a 10/5 I would. I visited Great Salt Lake and Salt Lake City for a long weekend. One thing I wanted to do was to rent a kayak on GSL. This process was made seemless by Wasatch Touring. Any questions I had and special accomodations were met by the entire shop, but in particular, Cameron. Cameron had set up a rental and a service to assist me in getting out on the water. He provided world class guest service for my requests. Wasatch Touring did a phenomenal job in adding a great little experience to my weekend at GSL and SLC. Anything outdoor related that you want to participate in, not only will Wasatch get you set up and make sure that it is to your specific comfort and standards, they will be able to point you in the right direction about the best trails, lakes, tips, etc. True professionals and local experts. Absolutely go here for any of your outdoor gear needs or to set up a nice little experience!!
So thankful to have my fancy bike. Bike are cheaper than other shop. Actually I went to 3 bike shop in total and one is too friendly and makes me very embarrassed... There are many stories and I did go to different shop for twice. I highly recommend Bobby and Dylan who are very skillful, Sam is very helpful. I bought my bike from Booby and he makes you feel comfortable. I am so happi to have these Cost-effective bike!!! The bike shop perks: 1. 10% off to buy accessories when you buy their bike(similar to other shop) 2. Free 1 year service for checking your bicycle tires have no crooked; gear works well or not; clean your bike(you can actually do by yourself!) after 1 year, 50 bucks per time. They also sell Skiing supplies. You really should come!!! I chose the bike shop the most far away from my university the stuff there are too btw I have recommended all my friends who gonna buy a bike lol
I’ve been bringing my commuter bike here for almost 8 years for general tune ups and repairs. They have always been happy to work on my bike, even if it’s kind of a piece of junk. I had another exceptional experience here today, I walked in with my bike and they had a few minutes to work on it right away. I was just looking for a tune up to get it ready for the season, and they went above and beyond by assessing all the small problems I had explained to them. Tyler (or it was Tyson. Sorry Tyler/Tyson) was incredibly kind and took the time to help me plan for the minor maintenance that will keep my bike happy all summer long. Pricing here has always felt really fair (sometimes even a little unfair to them). I know very little about bikes, so they could easily take advantage of me, but never ever have. Bonus: there was a super sweet dog that kept me company the whole time I was waiting.
These people are really awesome. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. This is where I'll be taking my bike from now on. Anytime I have a problem or need something, the staff here has been able to help me. They even are cool with letting me hang around and watch them do the repair on my bike all the while giving me step-by-step instructions on how to do the repair and what tools I will need to do it for my bike so that I can do it the next time. I've learned a lot, and I never feel like I'm being pushed into buying something I don't need. Support your local bike shop- even if they're prices are slightly higher than walmart (ugh) or another large chain, at least you're supporting your community and helping it be a more vibrant place to live.
The staff at Wasatch Touring are outstanding! They’re knowledgeable, helpful, and always prompt with follow up. I called them to help me find replacement power straps for my AT boots (I needed the exact same strap my boots came with and had already scoured the Internet with no luck). They took it upon themselves to get me a pair of replacements from the manufacturer super quickly, and were nice enough to not even charge me for them. Now I can go skiing touring tomorrow in all this champagne powder, with full confidence in my boots! In addition to this, I’ve demoed backcountry ski setups from them several times in years past, and always found their gear and prices awesome. Highly recommend this local shop!
Great local shop! Wasatch Touring was my first neighborhood outdoor store when we moved to SLC nine ski seasons ago. We've moved further south, but I was reminded of how great this store is when someone got me a gift certificate here. I got a new pair of cross country ski boots--it had been five years since I bought the last pair--also at Wasatch Touring. Without thinking or looking and at the end of the day, I got regular boots for backcountry skis! I went in the following Monday and it was super easy to return the boots and get the right pair. People are always friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to share tips, pointers, and places to go! Thanks so much Wasatch Touring!
I used to try and support Wasatch Touring, but they are now in the habit of shady business practices. I have now been quoted twice, back in May as well as today, for a bike derailleur tune and explicitly asked to be contacted if they want to replace anything. Both times they replaced components on my bikes without contacting me and charging me when I go to pick up my bike and refused to offer any compromise. Super shady. They're the Jiffy Lube of bike repair. Last time I will go there. If you want to support local business, I recommend Go-Ride for your bike tunes, SkiMo Co to mount your skis, and Utah Whitewater Gear for your river maps. Stay away from Wasatch Touring.
Any company can be a good company when things go well. You know a great company by how they respond when something goes wrong, and Wasatch Touring is a great company. I have rented mountain bikes here a few times and have always gotten great gear with no issues. I rented a bike yesterday and took it out this morning. The seat popper was jammed and the seat wouldn’t stay up or down. We made the best of a tough situation on the ride, but it was pretty rough. When I returned the bike, they checked out the issue, apologized for the trouble, and offered me another day or a refund. No hassle… just great customer service.
Twice I brought a bike in for service, was given an estimate and told that they would call me if any parts needed replacing. Twice I showed up to pick up the bike and was charged $20-50 more than the estimate. They replaced various inexpensive parts, which added up, especially given the labor/install prices. The first time they apologized and reduced the price so I gave it another chance. This time they stood their ground. Not going back. If those parts were necessary, so be it. But I take issue with them specifically telling me they'd call if the estimate changed, and then didn't follow through.
This past weekend we enjoyed another memorable mountain bike tour with the help of Wasatch Touring (WT)! We rented four excellent full-suspension Specialized bikes from WT, and were able to climb the Wasatch Crest trail at the gate off of Guardsman, and descend Mill D trail to the parking lot in Big Cottonwood Canyon. The team members at WT have always been very capable, knowledgeable, friendly, and easy to work with in every regard. We’ve rented bikes several times from WT, and would certainly recommend them to anyone interested in using excellent equipment at a reasonable price.
Went to get splitboard mounted. Unfortunately the employees who splitboard weren't there at that shift but a couple employees that ski helped me out. They didn't charge me anything after I asked how much I owe them. I then asked about beacons and one of the employees (who apparently usually works in the basement), spent 30 minutes educating me about the different kinds and how they work (with visuals and everything). Also there was a very good dog there. I didn't buy anything this visit but I certainly will be coming back and getting stuff. Great service.
Rented MTBs from these folks twice and have done a couple repairs on both mine and the GFs bikes. They're super chill and flexible, honest and straightforward and their repair work has been affordable, timely and proficient. Rental bikes are in top notch shape and I really enjoyed both of them. They were also flexible about letting me return earlier than planned and issuing back a credit when my plans changed. Definitely becoming our go-to spot quickly. Staff are also friendly, knowledgable and easy to talk to with great beta for the area.
I first got into mountain biking in 2010, my first mountain bike was a low end full suspension from a shop in Logan on a whim. Wasatch touring were so helpful when it came to upgrading that bike and once it became obvious I needed more bike they helped me find the right one. 10 years and 7 different bikes later I have moved away from the downtown area(Daybreak) and I still go out of my way to visit this shop. Their staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and they are always happy to feed my addiction with integrity and passion for the sport.
I really like going to wasatch touring for my bike maintenance. I like their products and the staff are friendly and helpful. However, last time I was in there they were handing out/selling political signs. I was pretty bummed to see this. I've always viewed this local business as a place where we can all shop, receive services and look at maps together and leave the environmental turmoil outside. Now I don't really feel that way. Please distribute political signs and share political views in other channels besides your awesome store.
You could piece your Backcountry touring kit together by going to every gear store in SLC or you could get everything you need at Wasatch Touring, I personally learned this the long way but now it's my go to shop. They have everything you could need backcountry skiing or mountain biking, their staff is super knowledgeable and they carry great brands like the Black Crows Freebird line, plus their service shop is super fast and versatile, I even get my bca cansiter filled up here. Can not recommend this place enough 6/5 stars
A 5 star rating? Well I actually paid for a tube replacement on a friends bike, he delivers my meds 3 times s month. The repair was done yesterday afternoon. When he went to ride the bike last night, the rear tire was once again flat. My friend claims the best and valuable work and parts from you. However I feel like my money could have done better or the repair was not done right. Is their any way to make this right? I feel bad he is still dealing with a flat and I'm out 15 bucks. Help for a star! J
Rented a backcountry touring set up from them last year and we had a great experience. As visitors out of state, we’ve popped in to ask questions about skiing conditions and recommendations for where to tour. The team there has always been so helpful. We really appreciate them being such a helpful resource. This year we came back in for a quick visit to ask about ski conditions, and they were consistently helpful. We now make a point to pop in and buy something each time we visit!
Nice folks but not happy with recent mtn bike service. Contaminated the front brake and the shock service left me with leaking seal and lock out not working (it was fine when I brought it in). Brought it back and they fixed the seal but not the lock out. They then said the damper isn’t addressed in the shock service so it is what it is. I guess the shock service is “partial” service. Nice people but recommend somewhere else for anything more than basic repairs.
Went in with a tube that wouldn't hold air on my way in to work. Expected to leave my bike and walk... staff took care of the issue immediately and were super helpful with info and tips along the way. Got to work on time for a fix under 20 bucks! I know this shop is busy and am always happy to wait for excellent repair work but the attention to my situation was really great and the guys working were super kind even right at open. Will def continue coming back!
If you are into "Specialized" this is one of the best places to go, best in Salt Lake at least. The staff is helpful, honest, friendly and they will help you no matter what type of bike you have. The service was a little expensive, but reasonable. I'm happy. The only thing is that almost everything is "specialized" centered for bikes, so you won't find a huge variety, but it's still a good place to find outdoor equipment.
The best outdoor shop in the valley. Super nice and professional staff. These folks are savy about Ski touring, cycling, boating and a all encompassing knowledge of the out of doors. They also service and repair boots, bikes, skis, skins, boats, poles...you get the idea. Every time I go into Wasatch Touring I am greeted by a super stoked crew, and I go in there at least five days a week. Get into Wasatch Touring
Amazing experience. Found me some great gear for a great price and we’re super helpful when suggesting what would be best for me. They found me an awesome pack and even took the time to explain all of the features and recommend how to pack it after I decided to get it. I really appreciate all the time they took to help me find exactly what I needed for my trip! Will definitely come back for anything else I need.
Always a great experience. I do all my mountain biking and Nordic skiing shopping and sometimes rentals here. They charge fair prices, tend to be quick, available, and great about communicating issues and navigating solutions. The best place to go in SLC for help with these sports in my opinion. Especially if you need a place that's trustworthy and can help educate you about gear and maintenance options.
I've been coming here for years to have my bikes and skis tuned, rent bikes for friends, and take a kayak for a whirl. The staff doesn't talk down to you, they're genuinely interested in you having a good experience outdoors on their equipment & tunes. I've had my bikes serviced at other mechanics in a pinch and had bad outcomes. I've never had a bad experience with the tunes at Wasatch! Thank you!!
Love this place. Been coming here forever and they are super knowledgeable about everything from backcountry touring to picking the right bike. Recently was in a situation where I needed to rent a mountain bike and the website made it super easy to reserve online and was a simple and quick pickup. There's really no reason to go anywhere else for anything you might need to have fun in the mountains.
The owners of the shop are friendly, attentive, and helpful - but many of the people working for them there are just the opposite, and worse. Prices on most things are typical. Selection is also typical for a brick and mortar store. I had some work done on my bike that took almost four times longer than I was told it would. This shop is okay - but I'll be visiting other shops for better service.
I rented an E-Mountain Bike to go mountain biking for the first time. The bike was fantastic and the trip was one of my favorite things I've ever done (Wasatch Crest trail - highly recommend). The E-Bike was a life saver, helped me do this trail even though it is too advanced for a first-timer. The staff here was super helpful and friendly. Helped me understand what I was doing with the bike.
Wasatch touring is incredible! I have come here to get bike parts and maintenance help on many occasions, and have always left extremely pleased. The staff is sociable, knowledgeable, and give excellent service. 9/10 I can ride my bike in, they immediately come to my aid, and I'm in and out within 15 minutes. If I were still in town, I'd for sure still be going here for my biking needs.
Genuine kind people I've ever met! I'm not a customer to this store but my car broke down near by their parking area and instead of them ingoring what was going on, they've helped out the most they can. Some tried to pushed my car on neutral, they've setup orange cones to help direct traffic, and gave me tips on how to handle this types of situation. I was honestly grateful, thank you!
Experienced stellar customer service from Mike and Scott in the cycling department. They went above and beyond to serve me, even taking a bike off the sale table just to find me a rental. They outfitted me professionally, treated me with the utmost respect, were personable, friendly, and knowledgeable. I would offer 10-stars but the scale only goes to 5. Keep up the great work.
I've been in many times for various things, including: - Mountain bike maintenance - Ski tuning/repair/maintenance - Mountain bike parts - Ski parts - General advice and recommendations The service has always been good and prices reasonable, and they have been very honest and not tried to overcharge me for anything. 10/10, great shop, will continue to do business with them.
These folks are great. The bike I rented for some trail riding far exceeded my expectations. Their service is top notch, too. When I came to return the bike, I apologized for being in a rush to make a flight, and the guy got the bike right onto the stand, checked it out, rang me up, and off I went. I found these folks to be professional, fun to talk to, and welcoming.
So much fun to rent a WaveRunner in lake Powell, these guys were cool. They had some trouble arriving on time due to trailer issue, stuff happens, but I was also late, so it was not an issue! Jackson was cool and walked through everything on how to use it very clearly. Be careful with the safety rules, you don't want to break anything and be liable. I had no issue :).
I've rented many bikes on trips, and Wasatch Touring is one of the best in the business for rentals. I've rented a mountain bike and a road bike here. Each time they worked to make sure the bike fit me properly before heading out. The rental bikes are much higher quality than you usually see with rentals. I will only rent from Wasatch when I'm in the SLC area!
This place was amazing. The gear was in great shape and exactly what I needed and it performed perfectly out in harsh conditions. Also their customer service and knowledge of their own equipment was invaluable. I will be back. Oh and I honestly would have thought with that good of equipment and help that’s I’d have paid much more. All around great Thanks guys
The guys at this shop totally saved me. I presented an annoying tire repair and despite being super frustrated at their initial failed attempts, these guys got me back on the road in relatively no time. Having a dog to play with in store only made the deal sweeter! Thanks guys! I promise next time I visit, it won't be as complicated. Thanks for everything.
Straightforward shop with honest employees and excellent service. I have gone to Wasatach Touring to fit ski boots, purchase road bike equiptment, and get tune-ups on various pieces of gear. Expect to speak with experts that do not try to oversell any product or service, regardless of profit. Fantastic local shop and I encourage everyone to check it out.
Super customer service today! Bought a pair of salomon skate poles there a few weeks ago. A defective tip and basket broke off. The guys at Wasatch Touring replaced the part no questions asked and for free, and I was out of there in 10minutes. They said they would take care of the warranty issues. Another great reason to support your local gear store!!
This establishment is stellar— best ski shop in SLC. The vibe is a mix of classic ski shop feels plus professionalism. They can do pretty much anything. I bought a complete hardboot splitboard setup from them and Dylan was super helpful with getting everything dialed in. If you have splitboard specific questions, def ask for Dylan. He’s the man.
First rate service. My rental bicycle was in excellent condition and well maintained. Staff made sure I was happy with the adjustments prior to departure and gladly replaced their pedals for some I brought along. They were flexible on when I picked up and returned the bike. I recommend them to anyone considering a rental while in the SLC area.
Awesome local gear shop. I rented a backcountry setup for a clinic and the gear worked great! They guys at WT showed me how to set up the bindings and made sure my boots fit. Rented on Saturday evening and was able to bring back Monday for a good price! Highly recommend if your looking for a great shop with good prices and superior service.
Helpful staff, but a couple issues during rental. Online booking was down and during pickup I found that the phone booking was incorrect and all the correct sizes of boots had been rented out. I just dealt with what they had left. Then they almost charged me for a 3 day rental instead of 1 because they had a store closure the following day.
Can’t believe I haven’t rated this shop yet! They are helpful and have good sales on stuff multiple times a year. Whether you’re wanting to snag some demo XC skis or trying to figure out MTB brake problems they are a good place to go. Some specialty shops claim you can’t do more than one thing well and Wasatch Touring proves that wrong.
Rented a stumpy evo and and esker here a few days ago, staff was super friendly and they checked over the bikes thoroughly before handing them over. Also the bikes came with co2, spoons, and spare tubes too which was awesome even though we thankfully didn't end up needing them. Good selection of cruisers, mtn bikes, and splitboards too
This shop is amazing. Called fairly late in the day desperately trying to get my splitboard bindings adjusted after a different shop mounted them incorrectly. Dylan was able to fix my whole set up so I didn’t miss my tour this morning! Their services like tuning and waxing are super affordable too. Couldn’t happier with my experience.
This is an awesome bike shop! Its super close to me and its become my go to for bike repairs and questions. Also as a women I've never been talked down to, felt unwelcome, or had any weird vibes (ladies reading this will understand). There's also a good selection of bike, skiing, and camping equipment if you need to pick something up!
Awesome place downtown to get extra tubes, gear, and accessories. Will for sure bring the bike in for maintenance when in the neighborhood. Staff was helpful and let me peruse the wears in peace, but always willing to answer questions or try to find something for me. Love the outdoor, adventure, and bike community involvement.
I rented a specialized stump jumper evo s4 for two weeks. The staff was very friendly and helpful, first by helping us set up a bike rack on our rental car’s hitch, and also by quickly addressing minor adjustments needed as I rode the bike. The bike itself was in great shape and well-tuned for my weight. I’ll rent here again!
Adrian, Sam, and the rest of the crew at Wasatch Touring are great. The entire shop staff are tremendously helpful and true experts in their trade. They will answer all your questions and help cultivate your next adventure hobby. After only two rentals and one buying experience, Wasatch Touring has become my go-to bike shop.
Great locally owned outdoor gear store in the heart of SLC. A go to place for helpful and friendly staff who are often knowledgeable and experienced in skiing and biking. Avid supporters of the local outdoor community. I highly recommend their service department. The small store means limited selection and limited staff.
Wasatch Touring is my go-to bike and rental shop. The team does a great job with bike tunes and communicates well when providing service and recommendations. I also recently rented some PFDs for paddle boarding. The service and PFDs were both great. Thanks, Wasatch Touring. We love having you guys in the neighborhood!
The extra mile ... That is exactly what they did for me. They went above and beyond to find me a paddle, including calling the manufacturer and altering their next stocking order. They were kind and helpful ... and they did not make any additional money. I would highly recommend checking these guys out ... awesome!
My whole family decided to rent skate skis for a day. Wasatch Touring is one of the few places in town that rents the skate version of cross country skis. Megan was super helpful in getting us all situated with our gear, and we were lucky enough to be able to use brand new gear that made for a super great day!
We were helped with a backcountry ski rental by Mike. He was informative and courteous and did not make us feel foolish for having too many questions about the equipment and the sport. A really great place to get information and support for beginners. This was a great experience. Thanks Mike!
Such a great local treasure! Allison was so knowledgeable and helpful last time I was in, seriously knows everything there is to know about whitewater gear. One question: how do I get that Wasatch Touring t-shirt she was wearing!?? Loved it, want to show my support for local businesses!
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff!! Preston and the other staff were extremely helpful and patient helping me pick out a rental bike. I tried several before I found the right one and they made sure the fit was good and I had what I needed. Made my experience quite lovely!! Kate F.
We rented an inflatable kayak from here! We were visiting from out of town and wanted to go kayaking somewhere but we didn’t know where! They recommended the beautiful lake jordanelle. It was amazing, and their equipment was perfect for what we needed! All for a very affordable price.
Wasatch Touring is the best place to rent a high-end MTB in Salt Lake. I've rented from them many times, and they've always supplied great bikes in excellent condition for a reasonable price. (They're also a great shop! But I'm not local so I never get the opportunity to use them.)
Over the past year I’ve ventured into this business it’s been an absolute pleasure. Several of the bike mechanics have gone above and beyond to accommodate my repairs on such short notice and have offered great advice when needed. Thank you so much and I look forward to going back!
My go to bike shop. Dylan and the rest of their crew are super friendly and knowledgable, and the turn around time cannot be beat. They go above and beyond. I've been coming here at least monthly for years and have literally never had a bad experience. Can't recommend them enough.
After decades in the business Wasatch Touring is still at the top of their game. From white water sports to climbing to cycling they've got you covered. They even have rental gear. If you're visiting from out of town check them out, they'll keep you enjoying the sports you love.
I went in for a mountain bike rental and received excellent customer service. The gentlemen that helped me were extremely knowledgeable and kind. They asked about where I was going and fitted me with a ride specific bike. I'll be recommending them to all my family and friends.
Originally had a hiccup with specifying a water bladder, but they made it right and I'm grateful for small businesses like WT that care about a quality experience. They gained a lot of trust by making things right. Great selection of bikes, winter touring gear and more.
I've been into Wasatch Touring several times. They are always helpful, kind, and produce great work. The last time I was in, I had a binding issue that they went above and beyond my expectations, and it was highly appreciated. They certainly deserve my repeat business.
Awesome place. I just rented a bike from here for a few days, the staff, particularly Emily, was fantastic. They got the bike and pedals all setup, and when my cleats didn't fit the pedals correctly, they lent me some better fitting cleats, and I was on my way.
Wasatch touring is the best bike shop in town. Dylan and his team is very knowledgeable and their customer service is the best I have seen. I have bought bikes there and had them serviced for years and never had any problems. I highly recommend this bike shop.
I come here for all my simple fixes on my bike. They’re great. Snapped a chain and they replaced my chain and then gave me a full tune up for free. They do great work, show you how things are done and don’t try to upsell items or services that aren’t crucial.
When I went to pick up my rental bike we realized that I had booked it for the wrong day. Totally my fault, but they were so helpful and accommodating! They really saved the day and set me up with an awesome bike. Will definitely be renting from them again!
I have shopped here for both bike and ski and have only had great experiences. It is nice to have found a shop I trust with my equipment. I recommend this shop to everyone. I most recently worked with River and he was very knowledgeable and helpful.
Outstanding service and creativity in repairing a telemark boot with no OEM parts availability. The Wasatch Touring bootfitting staff not only fixed the problem, they also communicated clearly and patiently to see the job through. Well done.
Wasatch Touring is a great local gear shop with knowledgeable and kind staff. They always help me pick out the right gear for my experience level and wallet. Highly recommend stopping in here for your outdoor gear needs and supporting local!
Wasatch Touring is a great shop with a big selection, but what really makes it stand out is the service. They really go out of their way to make sure you leave satisfied. I had an issue recently with an accidental overcharge on my bill, and
I rented touring gear and got incredibly helpful service from Alex. He explained everything thoroughly and was super friendly. He went above and beyond in getting me set up safely. Wasatch Touring is very lucky to have such a kind employee.
Probibly have excellent service but we must of caught them at low staffing. My wife and I drove out of our way to support a local shop and get some new ski gear (new to the area). Never got recognized. Looked, attempted to try on boots but
Will and Max were excellent and took a lot of time helping me sus out what I wanted in a backcountry ski set up. It's been a fair few years and I had many questions, they didn't push anything and were very helpful. I will keep coming back.
Amazing! Feels and looks like a bike shop should! Wasatch touring has everything you need and super friendly staff. There's a variety of awesome gear to cover many disciplines so definitely not just biking. I was super happy they had
Esker bike I rented was great and setup well. The shop let me pickup the bike the afternoon before my Saturday rental so we could get an earlier start on the trails. Really satisfied and will rent with them again next time I'm in SLC.
The staff, managers and owners are genuinely interested in spending time to get all your questions answered and find the appropriate gear for whatever you need. I love that the shop grew out of a love for the Wasatch. Good stuff. : )
We rented two full suspension mountain bikes over the Memorial day weekend. Picking up and dropping off the bikes was easy and quick. The bikes were I great condition and road really well. Would definitely rent from here again.
Wasatch touring is all ways super chill, and very helpful. One of my favorite shops in the valley. They also have a very good selection, I feel like I hand picked everything on display in the store and it’s very dangerous lol
I am from out of town and needed to rent a bike. My experience was very positive and every employee who worked with me was very helpful and friendly. I would recommend Wasatch Touring to any one, especially out of towners.
They helped me with my antique of a bike in and out in 10 mins!! Super helpful and answered all my questions thoroughly! Will definitely be back to replace it, as they have good bikes for all price ranges! Thank you!!
Didnt get the size I wanted but the bike I got was good enough for my riding. Suspension was set up perfectly so I didnt have to tweak it during my rides. If I were to visit SLC again I'd rent from Wasatch Touring.
Friendliest, quickest, most well priced, and best service in town. I just moved nearby and I've been overusing this team. I'm a lazy and impatient home mechanic, I don't know what I'd do without these guys nearby.
Welcoming staff, helpfull with trail recommendations, wonderful and well maintained equipment - all i all, if you wanna rent mountainbikes (hardtail and full suspension - carbon or Alloy) this is the place to go!
The guys at Wasatch were very helpful, they sorted out a great Roubaix for me to rent, it was well maintained and check-out/return were very smooth - complementary helmet inclusion was a nice touch! Thanks Scott
The team at Wasatch Touring is super helpful and knowledgeable. They've helped me a handful of times with bike reapirs, rafting knowledge/ rentals and last minute ski touring supplies. 10/10 recommend this shop.
Friendly prompt service. I rented an e-mountain bike and it was great! Bike performed to expectations and well suited for trails. I only wish they had gloves and water bottles for rent as well as helmets.
Dylan and the crew at Wasatch Touring go above and beyond. They are stoked, and wanted me to be happy. Ultimately after a demo I happily purchased a splitboard setup from them. Will be a customer again!
Excellent Service! I rented bikes and they were SO accommodating with me changing the reservation. Professional! Helpful! Fast with pickup and drop off. Hassle-Free! I highly recommend Wasatch Touring!
WT helped me get some new touring bindings mounted on skis i bought elsewhere. They even fixed an AT boot (free of charge) that was missing a bolt. Staff was terrific. Glad to support a local shop.
Online reservation of demo moutain bike was quick, easy, and affordable. The drivetrain of the bike wasn't very well tuned so minus 1 star for that. But friendly staff, good location, good prices.
Phenomenal customer service. I purchased a hitch mounted bike rack online and went into the store to pick it up. They took the time to install the rack on my vehicle and explain how to use it.
Outstanding service! These guys are awesome. I had never been road biking before but they set me up and got me squared away with the perfect rental! I’ll definitely be coming back.
These folks are knowledgeable, helpful, patient and friendly. I was grateful to find a wonderful Specialized bike there for six climbing days. Can’t recommend them highly enough.
Super quick and helpful. Fixed my snowboard extremely quickly with a fix that otherwise would’ve taken me quite some time searching the internet/ace hardware for the exact bolt.
Super friendly staff, passionate about bikes, and honest to your face. I have only had good experiences when going to wasatch touring and I definitely trust them with my bike!
