DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS GARAGE! I wish I had read the reviews on here before I bought a car from Wavertree. Very much the same experience. ABSOLUTELY AWFUL. I drove 2 hours to view the car, told its in 'mint condition' by Andy. When I arrive I find that the alloys are scuffed, the rear electric windows don't work properly and there was a scuff on the side of the car. Andy wasnt aware?! Great salesman hey?! Told all this would be sorted, so that was a wasted journey (and at this point I was heavily pregnant) Had to insist on a delivery of the car because I didn't want to be too far from home... Andy reluctantly arranged this but could only meet half way. When we met, the alloys were still scuffed and the window mechanism had been fixed in the back but I still wasn't able to work it from the front. Phoned Andy who was full of excuses, he just wanted my money. He gave me £100 off and I reluctantly (stupidly) bought the car as I really needed it as I was due a baby any day. The car also had not been valeted and smelt like a garage but I thought I can sort that out (not that I should have to and especially in my condition ) I had a cesarean and wasn't able to drive for weeks so my husband drove it, within 2 weeks the gearbox failed. Asked for money back, Andy said for us to go contact warranty (yeah it's really easy to take a car to a garage with a newborn and be ringing warranty companies as a new mum) husband took it to garage who bled the clutch and all was fine for another couple of weeks until it went again. Asked for money back several times but garage refused. Then the air conditioning wasn't working... Hot weather with a newborn and no air con... Took it to another garage had to have it repaired... Compressor was completely mangled and worn... Cost me £320... Still ongoing issues with the gearbox, I have been on the phone with Andy who says to contact warranty, warranty people won't do anything, had it diagnosed and it will cost £2000 to fix (I have hardly driven it!) been passed from pillar to post spoken to loads of salesmen who just say they'll get back to me but don't... Awful service. Do not buy a car from here, they don't care once they have your money, I have also tried contacting the owner Chris roper but no reply. Absolutely disgusting! Do not recommend at all, they have caused me so much stress and cost me so much money selling me an unroadworthy car which has put my children at risk... Disgusting!! Please buy your cars elsewhere this garage sells rubbish cars and aftersale service is abysmal.

Happy to recommend these guys. Really great choice of quality cars, no hard sell .We had gone on Saturday primarily to look at a red Paceman, which my wife didn’t like and ending up viewing a few other cars. Josh was patient & supremely helpful. A mint white BMW 1 series caught her eye , a short test drive was done but we had another car to see much nearer to home. Out of the 4 garages I phoned theses guys were the only ones who, when told which car I was interested in, didn’t do the old sales trick of saying “ oh yes it’s still available but I’ve had several people phone already today on that one” OR “are you the same chap that rang earlier? “ So on Sunday morning I called Josh asked him to solve a couple of concerns before buying which was no trouble for him & I was asked for just £100 deposit. Car was taken off their website immediately. Josh was off for a couple of days prior to & including the collection so I half expected my requests therefore not to have been sorted but handover was done quickly & efficiently by his colleague, car was pulled out of the valet bay absolutely spot on. They are just over an hour away but they will be my first port of call for our next car.

Got my first car from Wavertree car centre about 7 years ago and honestly never had a problem with it never let me down it was the best first car ( pablo the polo lol) and a few days ago I took him back to part exchange him for another car I seen which I really liked. Phoned up on the Thursday last week and the main man josh answered the phone and the guy is just a proper down to earth genuine guy! Felt proper comfortable talking to him on the phone. He sorted out the finance for my car and by the way he haggled them down some more on the payments which was proper sound appreciated that! And the next day the car I chose was ready to be picked up and it’s was looking sparkling couldn’t wait to take it home and couldn’t believe it was ready for the next day!! Can’t lie josh went out of his way in every way he even taxed it for the year the absolute legend! The quality of service is just on another level here they just really help you and make you feel comfortable. Thanks josh mate proper gentleman and absolute credit to Wavertree car centre wouldn’t go anywhere else !! Thank you josh and the team at Wavertree car centre best dealership around by a million miles!!!

Ended up not purchasing a vehicle but had put down a very small deposit (£100) to secure a car that was on sale for just shy of £100k. Tony, whom I dealt with was true to his word and took the vehicle of the market immediately, even with such a small deposit he was wiling to work with me to arrange a mutually convenient time for a viewing due to me living so far away and a couple of bank holidays. Appx two weeks after holding the vehicle for me, personal circumstances meant I could not go ahead with the purchase. I phoned Tony to explain the situation and although he was not happy (I don't think anyone would be after losing a sale of a £100k car) he was extremely understanding and told me he would refund the £100 back onto my card. To be perfectly honest, I wasn't really expecting it after reading the reviews regarding returns of deposits and so forth. I've only gone back and checked today and lo and behold, the £100 has been credited back onto my card. A man of his word. Sometimes, it's a two way street! I guess people need to make their own minds up.

I read all the good (car ) reviews and felt comfortable to buy a motorbike from them online.Something I have done many times before with various dealers. The interaction was good up until the day the bike arrived. By their standards it is a low value sale of a 2012 BMW R1200GSA. Upon delivery (not collection) This was my worst ever experience on a bike that was "positively described" It was evident that the team had done nothing on the bike and not even cleaned it.The top box was full of rubbish from the previous owner including tissues, a name tag, pens etc...filthy. The bike would not start as the battery was dead. When the bike was jump started it had a number of warning lights including the tyre pressure light where the rear wheel was 1.3 Bar against the required 2.8 bar. So, on delivery, it was unrideable and , frankly, very disappointing When I raised this matter , for feedback, the MD to his credit called me but tried to explain away the problems by deflecting them on to other people. I would not recommend buying a motorbike from them

I left it a few months after buying my first car before leaving a review. This centre has an excellent and broad range of well-priced and good quality cars available to test drive, and is probably one of the best places for first-time car buyers to visit in Liverpool. They offer a 3-month warranty on their used cars. I bought a beautiful pink Suzuki that was immaculately valeted and presented - in good condition and regularly serviced - at a price that I couldn't beat on the market really. I was able to arrange a test drive quickly after viewing the car online. The centre itself is on quite a busy B road so just be aware of that. Purchase was efficient; paperwork was sorted quickly and certificate posted out with no subsequent issues. I can't complain - I love the car and it is driving even better than it was when I bought it! Thank you Andy for dealing with my questions/concerns professionally, and for handling the deal in an honest and transparent way. I appreciate that, especially as a new driver. I would buy a car from here again.

Knowledgeable and polite, friendly service. Good selection of quality used cars. Recommended. Update:. Almost two weeks after we purchased our car, we are still waiting for the promised refund of the cost of a set of locking wheel bolts. It's only £34.99, but when Gary said he would refund it, I shouldn't need to keep chasing him to do it. A reply to my emails would have been polite too. Update 13/10/2022: Following my above review, I received a message from WCC a few days ago, asking that I send Gary my account details, so that he could arrange for the refund. I replied on the same day. I'm still waiting. The phrase "out of sight, out of mind" seems appropriate. Update 14/10/2022: I received a call from Gary, who said that he had been on holiday when I sent the details of the wheel bolt purchase (I sent them on the evening of same day that we bought the car). I doubt that he had been on holiday for a month, but, I am happy to confirm that we have finally received the refund that he promised.

Would I recommend this garage.. absolutely not.very poor after sales. I bought a car back in September which had one or two issues..nothing serious luckily but it was worrying that the car passed it's mot by them with warped brakes!! The communication and customer services is disgraceful in the end. You always have to follow up enquiries, listen to their pathetic excuses. I'm out of pocket because of the sales man's incompetence. Apparently they have no manager so you have to go through the sales man.. the whole thing has been a bit of a joke really. Unfortunately to them, I am now starting a formal complaints procedure after failure to reimburse me for my losses even though I've been chasing for this payment for over a month! I have always given them the benefit of the doubt and have been very patient with the sales man, but they are obviously fobbing people off. Maybe If I would have dealt with another salesman, the customer service would have been better maybe.

I cannot recommend this dealer enough, so far. I had a great sale with Chris, but also had an EXCELLENT aftercare experience to date with Gary. Within the warranty period, Instead of getting 2 agreed replacement part worn tyres front tyres (due to air pressure issues) - when I got to their recommended tyre garage, Gary was on the phone to the lady at the garage and upgraded the tyres to instead be brand NEW tyres (not part worns). Gary called me after I got home and asked if all was OK, and when I said I couldn't thank him enough - His response was that him knowing I had children, meant only the best tyres were essential for full road safety. What a company! What a guy. Cannot thank them enough. Feel safe that my car warranty is in their hands. I would never usually do reviews.... but when someone goes above and beyond for such lovely and caring reasons, I had to do a small part back as a thankyou - in the way of this review.

The aftersales of this company is truly woeful. After 6 days of owning vehicle had numerous engine lights. Engagement from the garage to resolve the issues (of which there were many) was almost zero. Would not return calls, passed from pillar to post, no response to emails, such-and-such a person is not here today blah blah blah. If i did speak to anyone they would mis-represent our rights and options. Long story short, we reported them to trading standards, citizens advice and the car was returned to them. We ended up getting our money back via Small Claims Court which was so avoidable. Truly woeful experience that was enormously stressful. Perhaps our experience was a one off because there are loads of great reviews, but our experience could not be further from those. If i could give zero stars I would. Glad we're done with this company.

Paid deposit after seeing the car on the wbsite, so took a bit of a chance. Not disappointed. Great car...2017 Focus on a very low mileage. Great price. Good service. Good administration. So the important things were in order. But a few small details were overlooked that I had to ask for, namely hatch shelf and service book. Since I've got it home I've also noticed that the little blank cover over the towing point in the back bumper was missing, but I did not spot that on delivery. Brand new shelf arrived by post in less than a week...Well done. Service book took six weeks to come but it did eventually arrive and confirmed FSH to sale date...Well done again. I would buy from this company again but just look a bit more carefully next time when I take delivery of the car.

Can absolutely recommend Wavertree Car Centre... the process of buying and part exchanging was seemless and I was delighted with the part exchange value given. There were a few very minor things that needed attention...small ding on the wheel arch, trim needed replacing on one of the wing mirrors and there were some surface scratches at the rear (always more noticeable on a black car!) and these issues were all addressed and done (along with a service) when we collected. Since buying I discovered that the car charger wasn't working and a new part has been ordered. Absolutely no quibbles. Thank you Steve, you made the whole process easy and what a refreshing change to deal with a car dealer who does what they say they will and nothing is too much trouble.

If I could give a minus score I would. I have had nothing but issues with my car since I bought it last year! Evidence iv been reporting problems from day 1. Engine light coming on all the time.d steering kicking off to the side, Apple play doesn’t work. Have to chase them CONSTANTLY to get them to fulfill any sort of promise to fix it they fob you off with. Now refusing to fix it at all. I am having to take them through the small claims court to get my car fixed. Avoid at all Costs!!! I wish I had listened to everyone before going here as their reputation is true! AWFUL. Please listen to other reviews in regards to issues, passed around and ignored!! I am also experiencing the same. Trading standards are being informed too.

Great experience from start to finish, Sales Rep Gary and Josh was very polite and helpful when we was looking for a new car. Left us to have a look around the vehicle and not pester us and push the sale on us, Took the car for a test drive and decided we wanted it. The staff very friendly and even took time out to speak to us all (myself, missus and 3 kids) the owner even took time out to speak to the kids and ourselves. We was very happy walking away knowing we wasn't pushed into buying something. The car is great and any problems with anything they are willing to fix. Would highly recommend this company and it was a pleasure to buy from them :) Thank you!! 5* all around

Sales experience is okay until they receive the money, bought a cross from them approximately 10 months ago. First week, EML came on took back to be fixed then about 6-7 months down the line the engine started to rattle in a way worse than it normally should. now about 10 months into the ownership the car is basically non-runner, engine barely lasted only 62000 on the clock. They advertised as service history but no service book was to be seen and only got a slip to say that they had serviced the car. Also didn't mention about only having 1 key till after payment as id thought they only use the spare key for customer use. Never buying from them again

Definitely happy to give 5 stars. This was my first time tying to buy a car on my own, and after seeing a few other cars at other dealerships Wavertree were by far the best. Josh was brilliant with me. Not pushy or over baring in anyway, which others had been elsewhere. He allowed me to take my time and ask as many questions as I liked. It was the car buying experience I was hoping for. After care has been great as I had a few minor issues post sale and they were resolved/being resolved without issue. I would definitely recommend this dealership to others. Plus the car I bought is amazing so far! Thank you to all the Team.

Big Thank you to Andy and Steve. They helped me procure a lovely Mercedes E220 coupe. The required work was carried out to a high standard before I collected the car. A minor issue with the new headlamp unit dipped beam not having been aligned after it had been fitted, but that was just a 5 minute job that I fixed myself. The slow puncture on the nearside front tyre was still present 2 days later, but other than that, Really pleased with the car, at a very reasonable price. Will be happy to do business with them again, as they have a good selection of quality cars.

Bought many a car over the years and my experience with Wavertree Car centre was by far top of the tree for me. No pushy sales, very honest and easy to deal with. Phone communication prioritized and never lacked detail. I have to give a special mention to Gary who went above and beyond to make sure my sale went through smoothly and had nothing but my best interest at heart. What a great asset he is to the business. Cant thank him enough. If your looking for a genuine straight car at a fair price go and see what these chaps can do for you.

Dealt with ANDY, very prompt with replies and always answer the phone every time. Was polite throughout my enquiry process and helped put a deposit into a car. (They even held the car for me whilst I sorted the payment) Unfortunately, to no fault but mine, I wasn’t able to get finance on the car, and had to cancel the purchase. Just bought a volkswagen golf from wavertree car centre yesterday and couldn't fault the service at all. The guy who dealt with me (Chris Blundell) was super helpful and not pushy in the slightest. Felt super relaxed during the whole experience. Everything went smoothly and was able to drive away the next day (after it received a full mot and service off them no extra charge). They give very good prices for part exchanges as well. Brilliant staff. There's a reason why this place has been going for over 40 years. Thanks again Chris.

Absolutely Brilliant! I honestly don’t have a bad word to say about WCC. I had a really negative experience with another company and after cancelling my order with them I got in touch with WCC. The staff there were brilliant, and very helpful. I booked a test drive and got a response the same day. After driving the car and deciding I liked it I agreed to buy the car and that was all I had to do! The staff at WCC took care of the rest. From sorting out my old car to taxing my new one they did everything. Thank you guys, love it!

Absolutely shocking garage. They will promise the world and deliver nothing. Be absolutely sure nothing is wrong with your car before you drive it away. Get it checked by an independent garage BEFORE you accept it. This garage ripped my wife off for thousands. Heard nothing good about them since. I'm so sorry we ever took our business there. Avoid it like the PLAGUE. If you have had a bad experience here too, please share even if it was a while back, we need to stop others being treated like dirt and ripped off.

I would definitely recommend these guys to anyone wanting to get a car. Was speaking to Andy when discussing what I would like and when we decided on a car the process went so smoothly. The car is fantastic and they cleaned and removed a small dent and the odd scratch here and there before giving it to me. As a new buyer, Andy made everything very easy to understand and was very patient with me. All the staff were really friendly and I will most certainly visit again if I need another car in the future.

I can’t really express enough how amazing these guys are at what they do! I worked with Chris to secure a dream car, and not only was he on the phone and WhatsApp to me all the time, answering my calls and questions so quickly, but he also managed to pull off the impossible and deliver the car within 24 hours of me buying it bringing it from Liverpool all the way to London. Bought a car from the garage last week. Really happy with the whole experience, test drove at short notice, touched up the bodywork where I asked, did (& provided) all paperwork, the salesman (Josh) was pleasant and kept in touch throughout the purchase process. Car drives really well and I've a warranty that the garage threw in with the price. The good price was the thing that initially attracted me to the car so all of the above was a bonus. Would definitely recommend.

Purchased a almost new £85K Land Rover defender to go across Africa this summer on a 4 month expedition. Great customer service and no hard sale, let me drive the vehicle on a test drive with no pressure whatsoever. I had some small issues after purchased and the company was happy to rectify and put right without any hesitation. Very pleased with the vehicle and would highly recommend anyone wanting to purchase a motorcar from this company.

My brother came here as he’s looking for a new car. He asked to test drive but the associate wouldn’t let him test drive unless he was sure he wanted to buy it. The associate then followed him around, barley letting him sit in any cars. He made my brother feel unwelcome there, I have a feeling that as he is a young male they made certain assumptions… he’s a teacher and upstanding citizen, guess they lost a customer that day. Not impressed.

Brilliant service. Had a 2005 Nissan Micra that was on its last legs (literally the exhaust fell off 2 days ago). Went here to see if id be eligible for finance on my dream car, a BMW 1 series. Had a superb experience dealing with Steven Smale at Wavertree. Steven was very patient with me - I had a lot of questions, I requested videos, pictures and copies of service invoices. We was responsive on all of this…without a grumble. Got a good deal on the vehicle. Steven wasn’t pushy at all, just helpful and friendly. Delighted with the service on collection. Really impressed with the setup at Wavertree and Steven is a superstar.

Went in looking for a good part ex/trade swap and was dealt with by Chris. Took an interest straight away and showed me the two cars I was interested in and setting up a test drive on the main one I fancied there and then. Agreed a deal and arranged to pick up once car had been serviced and mot’d. picked car up, one issue regarding it and it was sorted with no hassle. Great service and big thumbs up for Chris.

Fantastic service. It was my first time buying a car through finance but Andy made the process really easy and took me through it all step by step. Visited here to buy a car for my son on 15/4/23. Now I'm not usually a fan of car dealers and the people that work there but these guys really were spot on. They were straightforward honest and explained everything very clearly. There were no nasty hidden surprises.I am even considering buying my next car from them and it's a 2.5 hrs drive. I can thoroughly recommend these guys. You won't be disappointed.

Service has to be given 5 stars. From initial test drive and quickly ironing out a small issue to delivery of my car your service was excellent. They even dealt very well with the fact that my initial biometric authorised payment took 14 goes yet still failed due to my forgetting to press the final button. Well done Wavertree Car Centre. I would highly recommend this car dealership for anyone like myself looking for their first car. Prices where amazing and top quality cars for sale and the customer service from the team is amazing making it easy to pick the right car for you. I would also recommend people who are not new drivers as they have a wide variety of vehicles in top condition at reasonable prices and finance available.

Really a good place to buy used cars. I bought my first car from here. I went to have a look at the cars and met Steve who was really helpful and friendly and he helped me get the best car and did all paperworks and bought the car the same day. My special thanks to Steve for all of his hard work. I definitely would recommend this place and shout out to Steve.

I was waiting until I had to fix some issues before leaving a review but my wife went today and said they were great. There were a couple of minor issues with the car, as there are with most second-hand cars. It was just a quick call to get a date to bring the car in. The issues were fixed on the day and the service was very friendly. Great company all round.

The whole buying process went smoothly. The personel was very kind and helpfulI. I am just a bit disappointed that the car I bought had a dog lover previous owner. I was promised that the car will be cleaned up on pick up. It is still full of dog hair, and when you get in when the windows was closed in the heat, the cars back seat smell dog.

Lovwly people, Andy salesperson was helpful, would have given 5 stars had they paid more attention to how clean the car is when handing over to customer, management needs to work on valetting as my car was not as clean as expected, even though i gave few days notice i would ve coming to see car. Overall i would recomend them to others.

Unfortunately I was unable to find out if there's was good service Like many other people I applied for car finance on a car they had And then waited and waited but never received a phone call or any communication. Thought you were better than that. Of course they will reply that they never heard of me that's the usual one aswell.

Very easy to deal with. Any requests were fulfilled or explained to me clearly. My part exchange was easy and the handover process was clear. The new car was well presented and the minor repairs sorted before pickup. Gary was friendly and very helpful during the process. It's a busy place but I still felt valued.

Do not buy from these. Bought a car off them in 2020. Awful. Was beset with problems from about two weeks after purchase and continue to do so. I will never ever go back to them and looking forward to getting rid of this when the finance is up. Scam artists who sell dud cars. AVOID like the plague.
