Great views around the Tidal Basin, walk from Kutz Bridge at Independence Avenue see some older magnificent cherry trees. Continue down pass MLK Jr. Memorial and between Roosevelt Memorial for great panoramic views over to Jefferson Memorial. If you're careful, you can see all the way to the District Wharf Southwest.
Lovely spot to relax and get some fresh air. or maybe go for a ride walk or even a boat ride and you can fish I don't know from when to when but check out the rules before attempting to go fishing hmmm what else there is a seafood restaurant by the water can't remember exactly where but that's what Google is for
Loved the scenery and the quiet here! Great if you run or do long walks everyday. A little far away from the hustle-bustle of the Capitol area but definitely worth it. Just park your car in this lush green park, take a stroll alongside the beautiful Potomac river, and breathe some clean, fresh air!
Excellent views during the yearly cherry blossom festival. Come in the mornings for the best views and photo shots as it gets very crowded after 11am. Loop around over to the Tidal Basin for breathtaking views of the blossoms. Be sure to visit the museum's nearby too!
I've been down here in the middle of the day and had such a bad experience that I'd sworn it off. As a result, I normally avoid it during the entire time it's warm. Or I may take an out-of-town guest to one of the lit memorials after dark.
Actually, I met several US Park Police officers when I was stopped for driving 31 mph in a 15 mph area. I often drive through the park to access 395. Officers were great and professional. I was polite and guilty. Still got a 100.00 ticket
Beautiful green space overlooking the water. Located on the outer most parts of the national mall this area whispers tranquility. Parking near here was a minimum of $6 for an hour or so of parking (don't quote me on this). If you visit
Good views. Easy meter street parking in the morning. Free on Sunday. Volley Ball courts. Nice biking & jogging paths along the Potomac. Beautiful Japanese Cherry Trees along the tidal basin. Gorgeous when in bloom but go early in the
The Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial is a complete representation of this president's legacy. The chronological sequence of the statues, engraved wall plaques, & other displays provide a detailed portrayal of his public life. More
Absolutely beautiful place to come see the cherry blossoms!! It is my first time here, and I will definitely come back to experience this treasure. There are also a ton of food trucks to satisfy every craving possible.
One of my favorite parks in the DMV. Close to the national mall and Potomac river. You can park here and be so close to so many monuments. Great place for a Sunday stroll with the family or just a drive.
So beautiful. I would definitely take pictures and explore the area. Unfortunetly, I did not see the cherry blossoms in bloom but I did get to walk to most memorials in a short amount of time.
Beautiful Place to Realize the Importance of our Country ... We started with One Nation Under God & Now we Must Continue to Keep God in Our Nation... He is Our Hope in 2020...
I’m born and raised in DC and never been to West Potomac Park. Glad I came here to participate in the activities. This was for the Something in the Water Gospel event.
Beautiful in the Fall even without the cherry trees in bloom. We had ample choices for street parking when we went 2nd week of Oct- Mon-Wed. More
Incredible spot to see the cherry blossoms. Well worth getting there early to get a spot. The area is safe and parking is reasonable.
Beautiful place to visit great views of the Potomac River. West Potomac Park is also a great place to view the Cherry blossoms. Enjoy
Nice little park. Came here by accident when I was trying to visit the jefferson memorial, but ended up staying here briefly.
It has a huge area around the Main Luther King Memorial that you can just walk with great views of the Washington monument
Great place to do volo sports, or have a picnic family day, not today though, it's raining. Best restrooms in the DC mall.
Amazing place. I don’t know why the world’s is getting worse. Why we don’t Lear about this people again
With the cherry blossoms around, this place looks surreal. But crowded for apparent reason and season.
Great place to watch the sunset. Lots of gnats and mosquitoes. Bring your lawn chair and relax.
We were here at the peak of the cherry blossoms. It's an incredible sight that you should see.
Have been here for the cherry blossom festival. Huge crowd and lot of traffic when we visited.
Nice tranquil place beside Potomac park, we were there on the day of Cherry Blossom Festival.
Sits on the river and an easy walk to the Lincoln memorial
