"Strongly recommend you avoid this University, particularly if you have special requirements, they just view you literally as a stream of income and will take advantage of you"
"The communication is absolutely appalling, the university does not care about it's students and even simple requests like wanting to actually receive your enrollment email or anything like that requires a phone call if you want that information within a month"
"Beautiful landscape, well architectured buildings"
"Western Sydney University, situated at Sydney, capital of Australia"
"The facilities here are very good"
Strongly recommend you avoid this University, particularly if you have special requirements, they just view you literally as a stream of income and will take advantage of you. In 2015 as a struggling year 12 who was not punctual in school and struggled academically, but still hoped for the dream of going to uni, I was thrilled when I received an offer, despite coming in ATAR points away from the entry requirement and with a school record that showed continuous struggle, being the naive 18 year old I accepted the offer and commenced study. I made the university aware of medical conditions I had which would effect my study ability compared with the rest of the students and was assured that I would receive support through my study. Now, when I started, the university met with me and arranged an academic integration plan, which should have given me the support network I required and assistance from academic staff. It was anything but a small list of provisions made that made hardly any difference. I was advised that I would have a network of councillors and academic advisers that would regularly liaise with me and see how I’m going, offer support and advice if needed and they would liaise with my academics each semester to give me required support. Not once did anyone at this university see that I was off track and jump in like they should have, and the few times I reached out, I was given false encouragement so they could get paid the tuition fees for the semester, meanwhile I was stressing and my mental state was deteriorating, and then assessments would come along and I’d collapse, this university just gives false hope. The academics are hardly supportive, the support staff are lazy and give false hope and I wasted 4 years of my life attempting a degree I was never going to finish and this university ought to of known this based on my history, and they still kept squeezing me and would had I not come to my senses. 4 years wasted, when I could have been full time employed, getting mental satisfaction doing something else, and I was vulnerable and taken advantage of by this university. There needs to be an investigation by a regulatory body into this uni because you might think I’m just some guy who is upset because I didn’t couldn’t complete my degree, but I met many students in similar situations too me that have had the exact same happen to them. And now we are in debt because of their negligence!
The communication is absolutely appalling, the university does not care about it's students and even simple requests like wanting to actually receive your enrollment email or anything like that requires a phone call if you want that information within a month. I received a follow-up email about my enrollment inquiry this week (week 3 of semester). If I had not called the university I would not be enrolled Appalling, untrustworthy and disgusting
Beautiful landscape, well architectured buildings.... everything is exactly where it should be. The facilities are world class and upto standard. The library in particular, is exceptional and up to standard with what a university library should be in this Information age. Oh, there are shuttles that take students to and from the Paramatta south campus to Paramatta City campus.
Western Sydney University, situated at Sydney, capital of Australia. It's infrastructure is really good with it's quality controlled education system. But,there remains a lack of comfort as,in campus there is affiliation of high school, and as well as high school students gather in campus, the University students remains in a lack of peaceful and comfortable campus of their own.
The facilities here are very good. But honestly the high school students here are making a lot of noise! And they do occupy too many seats, leaving WSU students unable to find one to get down studying. I do hope the management can build up some rules or entry restrictions to make it better for WSU students’ study and work.
Western Sydney University at Parramatta has a prime location at Parramatta CBD right next to train station and transport hub. University building is at the helm of Parramatta City Square project. The building houses Business School where students enjoy the most technologically advanced and modern facilities.
It is a small campus but very convenient with share tea below the building and very close to train station and Westfield shopping centre. It is very easy to get around the campus. There seem to be no directions or probably any fire escape stairs although, I believe so.
Yeah...it has good infrastructure excellent university vibes but lots of school students and no place for university students sometimes it's hard to study because of crowd. Or Very good area of sitting with privacy and rooms too. Like it. ✔✔ …
Money hungry uni, charge you $100 for a grad hat and robe that you don't get to keep and force you to pay for 4 tickets to your graduation even if only 1 person is going, money hungry, just money hungry
6-7 floors city campus located inside a building with coffee shop and Japanese restaurant at the ground level. Located in Parramatta CBD, near Parramatta station as well as Westfield Parramatta
Looks very nice, like the corporate towers going up in Parramatta Square. Buildings look so much more modern than University of Sydney's crumbling infrastructure.
Nice modern design, however a lot of school kids take up seating in the early morning and afternoon making it very difficult for uni students to study.
Actually has some pretty good study space. Nice little 24/7 entry as well! Just what a real university campus should have!
Amazing campus to study at and is very big with a variety of spaces according to your needs but fills up very fast
State of the Art campus... is truely 21st century University delivering exceptional education to Western Sydney.
