Great selection of clothes and discounts, but I walked around the Male Pants and then Jacket selection area to compare prices of the different name brands (with much effort and with a distressed face) but the Staff didn't give me any assistance. The only time that someone approached me was when physically left the pants area in search of a staff member to give me directions to the fitting rooms. I don't really spend much money on cloths as I am a student, but I simply didn't feel like a valued customer. I bought the green trench coat for R+-1200, which I consider as big buy, humbly said. If I should consider how I was treated at Markhams, the staff greeted me at the door and put more of an effort in the sale so I bought my chino's pants at them, I would've bought their jacket as well if the Woolworth jacket simply didn't look better. Disclaimer* That being said it was a Saturday morning and the store was packed full of customers but I feel like there should still be a staff member in sight at every major clothing section to assist a customer.

Poor service. Sunday 21 march. Till 5. My woolworths account is almost paid in full. Never skipped a payment. I was there today to get some odds and ends. When it came to paying with my WW card the machine seemed to not work. They did not explain to me what was wrong. Just said i must go stand in line at the customer service counter and explain my situation with them as if i know wgats wrong. But they maid me feel like i shouldn't be shopping at woolworths. They maid me feel embarrassed about it. So i left my trolley and left the store and did my shopping somewhere else. I guess customers is not even close to the top when it comes to prioritise. But this is the way it works these days.

I have been visiting this store very often and have always had great service and quality at the hot food section. Always friendly ladies to assist. Yesterday I had to wait...I was the only customer there. When the person e e tually came to assist he was not friendly, did not listen to what I asked. I bought 2 grilled chicken. I asked for a pie as well but he just ignored an was on his own mission. After having bought grilled chicken at this store MANY times, this was the first time the chicken was overgrilled, the chicken was not cleaned before grilling as there were still signs of feather remains on both chicken. Hope to see the great quality of before at this store again.

Woolworths is consistent in that you know what you are going to get. Mostly you know you will get everything very good quality, but where they lose out a bit is versatility. I for instance am tall and athletically built. I therefore struggle a lot to find trousers and shirts that fit perfectly and to find something like a suit is almost impossible. For the Average Joe though you might be able to add another star. Prices for some of their stuff is not as pleasant as before, but that allows me to also consider other options. Was happy with my shopping experience at this particular store.

Nolu the supervisor was very rude, treated me like a piece of dirt and even assumed that I've stolen the merchandise that I came to exchange. I will never visit the Cape Gate store again. Nolu needs training in customer service. She damaged and tainted the reputation of your store...and she embarrassed me as your client in front of junior staff member, Amber. Shame on u Nolu...your arrogant attitude will cause loads of losses for this store....or is it a matter of colour? Do u always trat coloured customers so disrespectfully...shame o u...

Shana made my day!!!! I was looking for a specific blouse and gave her the product code. Only to be informed that they did not have stock. No trouble to her to ask for my name and number and she called N1City to check that the size I needed, and reflected on the system, was in fact in that store. She then called me back to say it had been set aside for me. Every Manager would be proud to have more staff of her quality and helpfulness working for them. Thank you so much Shana, you are a credit to Woolworths.

Disgusting customer service. Rude bombastic staff. Clearly this staff member hates her job. Can't greet or speak to a person properly. Stood interrupting when talking to her supervisor. Arguing with me. Even my husband was disgusted. Second time round. Closed my store card before because of poor service. Going to cancel my credit card now and take my business elsewhere. After being a customer for 35 years I don't need to put up this kind of service.# rude staff # poor service # don't support this store

Lovely instore. Just dont have size 9 sandles with backs that fit the elderly. Store is a bit packed. Very tight shopping. Seats are very low to try on shoes for older people and the staff should help us try on shoes Was disappointed at the linen section. Very small section. I didn't find anything I wanted there. Christmas section, gifts etc. We could not find open boxes to see the products on more detail . Store is small compared to Tygervalley. So was disappointed and left to look at other stores.

Staff is unprofessional & rude seriously, they refuse to assist me... I've ask to keep my things as I forgot my bank card, just need to go an fetch it( which wouldve taken me 2minutes).. they simply just said sorry we can't keep your thing until you get back you need to put it back on the shelf. I myself work with customers and I'll never speak to them that way, Cape Gate woolies needed to train their staff to be more helpful

I wanted to buy polo shirts x 3 for work today. There was a sale on this range but could only be accessed if you had a store card. I told the cashier I would have to return with my sister-in-law as I did not have one. The manager kindly allowed me to use her card and spared me a trip. That's what I call service! One other thing! Check out the rotisserie counter in the back of the store. Delicious pies among other things!

I bought 2 work shirts from studio w in November which were terrible quality! Most of the buttons fell off so I went to exchange them for better ones as per my consumer rights but the customer care staff at woolies cape gate were so rude to me! I felt like I was being discriminated against! They disrespected me in front of my daughter and gave me very bad vibes! Very disappointing experience!

I must say that I do like this Woolworths. They have a great selection of clothing as well as an excellent food market. The store is laid out in a convenient manner that you don't feel as though you are cramped. The only thing missing here is a coffee bar. I do love my Woolworths coffee and would love to be able to have a coffee here while I'm doing my shopping too

Love this woolies! They usually have everything I need. If it is not on the shelf, the staff is willing to check for whatever it is I'm looking for, in the back. One day the store manager got someone to help me take my groceries to the car, my baby was crying and I could not manage the groceries the baby. Thank you to all the staff and management

Visiting this centre is not a pleasure when you don't know where the different shops are. You walk forever to find a information board just to discover that you need some degree to get the info you want. Instead you must watch endless adverts. Why not put up overhead info in the aisles to indicate which shops are on that side of the aisle.

What a bad experience! The music that was playing was closer from NIN how is that music for a department store? Obviously they don't care what goes on in store! Pricing is just stupid high I was so shocked at all the prices I had to leave and I will never return! So many better places to shop that aren't out to just steal money from you!

Terrible! I bought a top. The cashier didnt take off the tag. At the door, I was stopped, security had to check my slip and my shopping. He then went to remove the tag. When I got home, they ripped a hole in the sweater where they removed the tag. So I had to go back to return it and then again wait in long ques. Not cool at all!

I'd say the service I received was the best part of the experience. The two staff members i dealt with were friendly and helpful. I didn't have a WRewards card and the cashier asked if she could offer one. She was friendly and informative. I still have that feeling inside that you get when you engage with a wonderful person. :)

The food department was disappointing because it was not well-stocked and all the available fruit salads looked about to go off. However, it was a huge pleasure to shop in the rest of the store. It is very spacious so one can shop without being too close to the other customers. The staff appear to adhere to Covid protocols too.

Woolworths is clean and aisles are wide enough for Covid times and social distancing. Their food lines are good in that fruit and veg last much longer than other outlets' fresh produce. Their clothes are stylish, but are more expensive so not necessarily value for money, like they were two to five years ago. A pity indeed!

Absolutely horrid service. I walked through the entire store 3 times and couldn't find a single person who could assist me. There were people at the tills and in the food section but not a soul to be seen at the clothing section. I will not be going back and i discourage others from going there as well.

Just want to express my disappointment in Woolworths's plain white t-shirts that we have purchased from this store. Half a year later and the collar have stretched as it was 10 year old product. At R199.99 per piece it has shown to be of extremely poor quality.

Neat and tidy but missed clearly uniformed staff in attendance at each department ... seems since I was last here (2019) this has disappeared in the interests of profit. Still no Supersport clothing just the lower quality Australian/Chinese type items. Pity.

Since it is a larger branch it has a good selection of merchandise in all departments. I recently called to find out whether an item I had seen on the website were available and they held it for me until I could get there the next day. Friendly service.

Really great and wide selection of items, from clothes to food to home ware this place is packed with goodness. However please go there with no budget in mind because this place is the premium of department stores. This is not for the cheaper budget.

Prices have reduced on their clothing over time. Managed to find chinos I was looking for in my size and had very friendly staff. A good store for generally better quality clothing. Do visit them.

I went to buy some winter bedding , they have incomplete sets though , would have been nice if they had the full set of what they display , sadly left and went to buy bedding somewhere else...

I expected the food section to be big but actually it was much smaller than other food sections. They also barely had any stock of their specials. Lots of room for improvement.
