Awesome. This metro woolies is so awesome, funky and modern looking. The designer for this store should get a 10/10 for design. It is so handy to have, being in the middle of Pitt Street Mall. Zoom in, zoom out. I use this metro store for small things like a quick snack or a cold drink. So easy and cheap compared to the prices in Pitt Street Mall Food court. Although it is a great store, i must advise you that because its a metro store it does not contain all the products that you would expect from a normal Woolworths, where you do your grocery shopping. I like very much so.

It's not exactly easy to find, especially if you're a tourist visiting Sydney. The entrance is along Pitt Street, so don't deviate. If you're familiar, or are able to find H&M or Sephora, the entrance is right across from them. The supermarket is pretty huge, and they also do have prepared food for lunch or takeaway meals. I like that we can grab bottled water while shopping around here, at probably a fraction of the cost you would pay at the food courts and restaurants around here.

Interestingly a bigger store than I imagined. Entering from Pitt Street Mall down the escalator into a well stocked grocery shop. It's well organised and bright with everything from eat-in café to fresh produce, general grocery, etc. There are about more than ten self-checkout machines which make for quick scan, pay and go. There's enough staff around to assist but I didn't require it. A well located grocery store in the very heart of this busy shopping centre.

  • Phil Surtees

1. Didn't have bread. 2. Didn't have 3 litre bottles of milk. 3. Didn't have the chips I wanted. 3. Escalator wasn't working. 4. Had to wait ages for a cash checkout to become available. I normally wouldn't comment, but they asked me for a review, and thinking about it now, it wasn't a good experience. In fact, now I realise I'm going to have to go out again to get bread, so ... thanks Woollies Metro. NOT!

Quick and convenient and right in the middle of the city. The Cafe provides breakfast and coffee and you can do your urgent shopping on the go as well. Not a huge spread compared to a fully fledged supermarket but it does pack most of the necessities. Open early in the morning till late in the night. Also gives decent and healthy lunch and dinner options in the fridge.

Food quality us absolutely disaster. Nothing is fresh including fruits, veges and meat. Terribly organised. This one is closest store from my home but I have to walk further to townhall woolworth or pyrmont coles. Many times they still have expired food on shelf too.. seriously this store requires a thorough health & safety audit.

I would like to say a big thank you to the Store Manager Dirk Solling at the Pitt Street Woolworths Metro store. I’m in forced government quarantine and rang the store to order some fresh fruit and things and he sent me a care package of things at no cost, what a beautiful human being. THANK YOU Cheryl Gjoni

pretty great range here, considering how small the store is. it's clearly perfect for anyone who works nearby and needs to grab lunch, as they have salads, meats and fresh sushi. they have a dine in area where you can just sit and eat too. also one of the biggest dip ranges I've seen!

Nice little grocery store amidst big fashion stores in Pitt St Mall. I find this metro better than the Woolies at Town Hall station - more space and less squished. Items are more spread out and for a metro it is especially well stocked! Has everything I need.

  • James Balestriere

This is a city supermarket gor those who live day by day. There is coffee shop and bakery, fresh stuff and more of the simpler consumables. It is small format but 5x the size of the convience stores so you usually find what you need and at supermarket prices.

  • Jan Eilers

Great location and great selection for a smaller woolworths. The hot food options are also pretty good and you can anything from to stieß, curries, chicken, salads, sushi, etc. Only bad point is that the staff at the Cafe sometimes is pretty rude and slow.

  • Briggs Jourdan

Seemingly a flagship Woolworths with some particularly different products that it offers, a nice and clean atmosphere and not as busy as other Woolworths Metro stores in the city. An abundance of self-serve checkouts for even the most anti-social of sorts.

  • iussoe

Better products..almost in every aspects they thrive..from the quality to the variety of their products are amazing.. no wonder when i went there on tuesday evening..the store is packed with their customers..i've lost word for them..good job woolworths!!!

  • Veroro Page

i lost my wallet yesterday and i come back to check it there, maybe there is a kind person who put at the customer service. But when i ask to the worker who stand at the coffee, she just said that nothing here without check it. SO DISSAPOINTED

  • eliza savage

Just had the most rude and jaring experience and I didn't even go into the store. On my lunch break I was heading over to grab some food and didn't hear the alarm going off as it was competing with the sound of town hall station. As I was

  • Andy Dee

Absolutely amazing. Super friendly staff that had everything you could possibly want, including items that my local woollies no longer stocks for some strange reason. They also have a good variety of healthy foods, baked goods and coffee.

  • K Boulter

Poorly trained barrister with slow customer service skills. I waited 9 minutes for a simple coffee order which she still got wrong. Please put experienced staff on at peak times especially in a cbd location. Would not recommend this cafe.

  • big fella

Watch the sushi section it was so old when i out it in my mouth it was hard as a brick. I immediately spat it out and and threw the $13 i wasted in the bin. Instead of selling old stock make some fresh stuff.

  • Graham Keating

Great location just about anything you want aimed for the office workers lunch and then a quick shop after work for those little things for dinner or that you forgot when you did your main shop.

  • Delicioux Brisbane

Tucked at the basement of Pitt Street Mall, this Woolworths Metro has a little cafe and dining area for sandwiches and coffee. Spacious and clean supermarket with the basic supplies available.

  • Kieron Rowe

Thanks to Amalia and your other wonderful staff recognising a diabetic low glucose event, I'm able to post this. A five star review is the bare minimum I can do for such kindness.

  • Red Hippo

Friendly staff who gave me a free coffee once as I had to wait longer than normal for my pick up order. Selection not bad at this Woolies. Convenient location right on Pitt St.

  • Tina Yu

Good location, very convenient, the customer service is terrible, a cashier is very rude, no customer greeting, just scan the goods and let me pack the things by myself.

  • John Eddy

With the continuing virus crisis Woolworths needs to get their act together fast to ensure they have suffient stock available. The shelves are still empty!

  • adam boyd

Arrived at exactly 8.59pm and they shut the doors on me. Just trying to buy milk for my children. The lady who closed the doors refused to let me in.

  • Garry Lloyd

Wonderful staff. All smiles. Has an area you can toast a sandwich or microwave your lunch. Buy your stuff then make your lunch. Great coffee too.

  • Chris H

Great convenient location for this Woolworths Metro. Stocks most of what I need and also has sushi at the back. Quick checkout and tidy store.

  • Kitty Kong

Nice shopping. Produce are fresh. There's a basket with free fruit for kids and a good bargain of many cut-price items in the evening.

  • Lynette Jetson

I like Woolworths but not this branch, because they don't have cash registers people working. Only self services which i don't like

  • Szabi

  • Clem

Bought a pie for lunch, opened it at work and it was still cold on the inside. Enough said and extremely poor form.
