I have worked with 6 different realtors over the years on both buying and selling properties. I can tell you that not all realtors are alike, nor have I ever wanted to write a review, until now. My condo management company changed to Equium Group and one of the things they offered was a discount and free condo documents if I sold through their real estate company (Equium Living), so of course I called them up to learn more. Jason was patient and walked me through the process, then sent me some market analysis that we reviewed in more detail while we both determined if we were on the same page with pricing my condo. Jason was very professional, knowledgeable and seemed sincere. After some time to weigh other options, I decided to go ahead with Equium Living(/YYC Real Estate) and I'm so glad I did! One of the first things Jason did was set up a Whatsapp chat with me and his team, including David and Cindy, and it was great! It was easy to ask and receive answers to questions, get updates on timing of photos, get the listing link, etc. They also set me up to get notifications on all the showings. I was connected through the whole process. We needed my husband to sign a dower form with a Notary Public, and it was brilliant that David is a Notary Public! David made it even easier for us by coming over both times we needed to get the documents signed. David and Cindy were also a huge part of the process, including seamlessly backing Jason up if he was unavailable. Cindy wrote up the awesome listing description and was open to making a couple of small additions/changes to it. She was amazing through the whole process, and made things really easy staying connected through the chat. The pictures taken were bright and really showcased the condo, and I was very pleased with them. Another part of their process that was intuitive but that I'd never seen before, were their emails detailing "What to expect now that we are CONDITIONAL!" and "What to expect now that we are SOLD!" I also got calls asking how I was doing/feeling about the step we'd just taken, for instance, and we talked through any concerns or questions I had. The team was professional, quick to respond, seemed to genuinely care, and made everything smooth and seamless. They were also kind, friendly and personable. By choosing to work with Jason, I got a whole team! I can honestly say that I was not only pleased with my experience, but it was more than I expected and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Equium Living/YYC Real Estate.

We specifically had the advantage of working with David - not only did he support us through the entire process of matching us with our first home, he went the extra mile in many ways to make the entire experience a smooth and personal one. In a time where it is so challenging to connect personally and rare to find people who genuinely have your interests in mind, especially in a transaction as big as a home purchase, David far surpassed all expectations. Not once did we feel pressured or patronized to make any decisions, and he handled every one of our novice questions (we had plenty) with immense patience, efficiency and insight. I echo a lot of the other reviewers when saying that the YYC Real Estate Group are the most trustworthy and down to earth people we have ever had the pleasure to collaborate with. David and his team's honesty is their greatest attribute - we felt it from the moment we met, and it never deviated even long after we closed on our home. We were in the process of moving across the country to Calgary. We googled "Best Realtors in Calgary", and YYC came up with 5 stars. We believed that their head office was only blocks away so we walked up and asked at reception to speak to a Realtor. We had mistakenly gone to the Property Management segment of YYC, but the companies president came down to ask us how we had heard of them, and after a great conversation, he assured us that someone from the Real Estate branch would be in touch. By the time we had walked back to the Condo, we received a call from Jamie D'Mello-Okoli. After a quick conversation about what we were looking for, she immediately went to work sending us listings that met our requirements. Once we had narrowed our listings, we contacted Jamie and she set up the viewings. She was so pleasant and patient, and during the next coupled of weeks, showed us over 30 listings all over Calgary, Chestermere, and Airdrie. She was available evenings and weekends to perform the viewings for us. During the viewings she educated us on what to look for and what to avoid in a house in the areas. This was invaluable information to us and we really appreciated her helping us in this capacity. She seemed to know everything we asked about and explained it to us in detail. At no time did I feel like she just wanted to sell us a house. She wanted to sell us the "right" house for us. We did find the right house and Jamie and YYC "held our hand" by letting us know all of the next steps in the purchase process, and the timing for each. Moving across country was stressful, buying a house is stressful, but Jamie and YYC made it so easy that we could start enjoying our new home faster and easier that we could have thought. I can't say enough positive things about my experience with YYC Real Estate Group, and specifically Jason Ngo! When I found out in the spring my family and I would be relocating to Calgary from the United States, I was instantly overwhelmed by the logistics. Due to COVID regulations, visiting and arranging housing ahead of time was NOT an option. While we knew we would have to rent temporarily, we had the ultimate goal of buying within the first few months of being there. I found YYC Real Estate Group online and saw they had great reviews. I called and received a call back from Jason within an hour. He took time to meet with me and my husband via FaceTime. He explained all the neighborhoods, and based on our list of wants/needs, made recommendations for where to look. He created a personalized page for house listings so that we could start to get an idea what was out there. When it came time for us to find a temporary rental, Jason offered to go to the location and FaceTime us for a virtual tour! He even worked with the landlord to get a short-term lease, and looked over the paperwork to make sure it was all standard. I can't tell you what a relief it was to have someone there in-person working on our behalf. When we arrived in Calgary we immediately started evaluating neighborhoods, and looking at houses. Jason was so responsive! He was quick to reply to all texts, and book viewings in a timely manner. It only took 4 days of looking before he showed us our dream home. He helped us navigate the offer process and every process that followed. While I am sure there was a fair amount of background work I never saw, Jason made it seem seamless. Today we closed on our house. From start to finish this group has been professional, responsive, and extraordinarily helpful. Jason handed over the keys this afternoon along with a housewarming gift to enjoy in our new home. I cannot thank this group enough.

The service and support I got from this company was amazing. Dave walked me through the process of purchasing my first home while making me feel confident that he was trying to find the best fit for me while being patient and teaching me about the process. For me, honesty is the most important thing for this type of business and Dave made me feel like he was honest and always had my best interest in mind. I am very obsevice, a perfectionist and ask more questions than anyone I know and Dave was always available to patiently accommodate that. Additionally, these guys have an incredible network, so they can put you in touch with all kinds of contacts to get your property all set-up the way you want it. They set me up with a contact to get blinds installed, another contact to get some work done on the house, they set me up with a lawyer and a mortgage broker. I shopped around extensively and the service and prices I got from the people they recommended were the best I could find, plus having that recommendation made things a lot easier. Overall, this was a great experience and would definitively use them again and would highly recommend to anyone especially if you are a perfectionist like me.

Our house sale was a unique situation where we were still waiting for the land title while we decided to sale the house. We explained our position to Monica Ponce at YYC real estate and asked her whether we will be able to sale my house or not. Even though we were not their client, she decided to take time and dig deeper to find out whether we can sale our house while the land title is still in process. After a week or so, she confirmed that we can go ahead with the sale without any problem. Kudos to Monica and her team who took their time and went extra mile for their potential clients.
