Brilliant experience. If you are looking for a central place to base yourself in Yarra Valley while you visit the surrounding areas, do yourself a favour and really consider staying here. It's close to breweries, wineries, shops (Coles/Aldi) and a servo (BP). The 3br cottage we stayed in was clean, neat and spacious with excellent amenities such as a well equipped kitchen, 2 burner barbie, wifi and big tele (in case it's rainy and you have to stay in). The surrounding gardens were well maintained and picture perfect. There were several different areas to sit and enjoy the large variety of plants, fruits trees, and fragrant herbs (which if you ask nicely, can be harvested to elevate any home cooked meals). Ralph and Helen were friendly and extremely hospitable which added to a very memorable stay.

If its simple tasteful practical pretty, good value and professionally managed accommodation you seek - Yarra Gables is the place in Healesville. When travelling you come to a location for a reason but it is off-putting if the accommodation is so expensive that you don't feel you can spread your finances through the whole community - this is very reasonably priced for the excellent standard of the property, and it encourages me to think - if I need to overnight in the Yarra Valley again, I'll look forward to returning to Yarra Gables - I know I"ll be getting a little bit of luxury, space and privacy, quiet surrounds, can cook my own breakfast, have a good nights sleep, and be able to support a local small business. The host Ralph is welcoming, friendly and straight forward. Such an easy stay. My grumpy old farmer dad was most impressed too (and that's a feat)!

The owners of the Yarra Gables are obviously passionate about their property, and it shows! From their personal text message to inquire about our arrival time to ensure that our check in is a breeze and ensuing that the air conditioning in our room is turned on just prior to our arrival, to their extremely clean property and rooms, this is one amazing property. Linen and towels were of top quality and were fresh, crisp and super clean. Other things I loved about the room included quality toiletries, great water flow in the bathroom, and the fact that it had everything else that I would need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay, including a fridge, microwave, kettle, coffee/tea making faciities etc. There property also had a large beautiful shady garden, with chairs and benches where guests may chill and enjoy a drink. This is truly a gem of a hotel and we will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

This hotel is the best in the district. If you would like to stay at Healesville, stay here. Booked a 2 room house and highly enjoyed it. The whole place is so clean and tidy. The garden was so lovely, even with some chickens for the children to be entertained! Always stay at Yarra Gables. Will return soon!

What a lovely hidden gem in Yarra Valley! A beautiful Motel/Hotel with nice cottages, which are really well equipped and well maintained. From decent coffee, WiFi and chocolate treats in the fridge, to a real garage to park your car. Great! The owner was super friendly and also gave us some good ideas on where to get breakfast and dinner. The cottage we had was 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, nice patio with a BBQ and even a washing machine. Perfect. So, if you are looking for a nice cozy hideaway, the Yarra Gables is a very good option, 1h outside of Melbourne!

Wonderful place to stay! We loved the villa - good size for a group, plenty of amenities, nice bathrooms, and the added bonus of a laundry. We appreciated the little touches like chocolates in the fridge on arrival. Plenty of parking and it felt safe off the road. Super comfy beds. Walkable to Four Pillars and cafes etc. Ralph's service was top notch and all of this for a reasonable price. We would definitely stay again!

Needed a bed in Healesville for the night. Didn't arrive till about 9pm after a last minute booking and had to leave early. Wish we could have stayed longer. Lovely room, beautifully set up and very clean. So many little things made this place such a surprise. Makeup wipes, chocs in the fridge, plenty of information about Healesville, warm and cosy. Don't keep driving past and wonder what it is like as we have done for years. Book in and enjoy a delightful place to stay. We will be back. Thankyou for your hospitality.

Hosts were welcoming and friendly. The accommodation was lovely and clean. The family room was perfect! Very large king bed and two singles in separate room. Some nice touches like chocolates in the Fridge and plenty of towels etc. sheets were great quality. The gardens were stunning and had nice things to look at like a fairy garden for the kids and a rose garden with lots of seating with lovely views. We don’t usually stay at motels but will definitely recommend and look forward to our next stay!

First time staying at Yarra Gables, and it definitely won't be our last. From the minute you drive onto the property, you automatically feel welcome and relaxed. Yarra gables cottages are beautiful with a homey feeling and are extremely clean. You can tell Ralph and Helen really take pride in making your stay very special. 3 bedroom villa. Clean, good location, free Nespresso pods. Beds weren't overly comfortable, sheets were great quality. Lots of pillows to choose from. Bedroom 1 and 2 were right next to eachother, and we could hear eachother talking through the walls. Would have been nice to have small food breakfast items provided. My sister stayed somewhere else and the fridge had many items including bacon, eggs, sausages. Overall excellent. Would stay again.

To date, I have only stayed at this gorgeous place only once and it was for my birthday. The room was clean, spacious and well presented. The gardens are delightful. Everytime I travel past this amazing place I am pleased that it is full. Well done

Stayed at the 3 bedroom cottages over the weekend. Nothing to complain about the house; nice and clean rooms and comfy beds. Enough space for kids to have a play indoor and adults sitting at the dining table. Highly recommended for families. Good location is easy walking distance to the local gin distillery/brewery/town.

Our room at Yarra Gables was very large, clean and comfortable. The views from our windows were lovely. The bed was very comfortable and the towels were light and fluffy. It was a great place to stay.

Was really surprised by this place, wish I knew about it years ago. Absolutely perfect location, so close to the wineries and town. Very clean and quiet. Beautiful grounds aswell. Very affordable and good value for money. Very easy check in and out.

A great place to stay, plus Ralph was very accommodating - we accidentally booked for the wrong day and called up in a panic from Yarra Glen. He fixed everything up for us, and we were able to check in as soon as we arrived, half an hour later.

The room configuration was perfect for a family of 4. Very comfortable room and the garden is just beautiful! Ralph was very friendly and easy to communicate with.
