It was very disappointing to see that the customer service has plummeted down after the rename or hands change from automart to mycar. The Manager has come across very rudely with us which is quite strange. It seems the desire for business is hardly present. When booking for the service the way he came across to me was shockingly rude. He said “your car has crossed kilometre limit” and instead of 110KM service you need to go for 120KM. As he was not providing any logical reason, why I have to do it. Please note that each year my car’s mileage is at an average of 3500 KM. On discussion the answer I receive “Shall I cancel your service?”. Same is true while the manager was reluctant to provide me quote for windscreen washer motor (during the service they identify the problem). I have requested the manager to call me later and provide me quote, so that I can book my car to fix windscreen washer system. Manager answer was, “I will forget. You need to drop your car at our service centre and then only I will quote”. I have never come across this appalling customer service ever in my life. Definitely do not wish to go back. When it was under the Kmart Autoservice, I never faced this and found a lot of warmth and support. FYI – I service both my cars with ex Automart (now mycar) for last six year. Very dissatisfied customer, not going back ever!!!

Avoid these guys like the plague. A more overt example of opaque and questionable business ethics I have not seen in my many years in the motor trades. A highly unpleasant experience. We agreed on a price. They (apparently) made an error with their quoting and then subsequently concocted a story so they could eke out the extra dollars. Meanwhile I had already had my car towed to their premises to get the work done so I had no option but to accept their price increase. I wouldn’t trust My Car St Ives again with any of our family’s/company’s vehicles. And later, they then had the gall to request a 5 star Google review : **We would love a 5 star google review, if you feel our work doesn’t deserve 5 stars, please contact us on our number xxxx** In my humble opinion – shouldn’t a Google review be an accurate reflection of service received, not a contrived rating designed to undeservedly promote?

Murray was an absolute legend! I was in a real pickle with a work van that was not covered and it was Friday before a long weekend and there was quite a bit at stake. Unfortunately, my car did not have the Tyre's that would fit the Van but that did NOT stop Murray from helping me anyway he could! He gave me advise on who might stock and offered to call me back after he got in touch with his tow truck driver. Murray called me back and his driver was not available but still went that extra mile and gave me the number of another tow truck driver he knew of. He really saved my day! After speaking with Murray I was able to get everything organised as I really had not had to do anything like this before. Murray gets 7 stars out of 5 and even though I don't live anywhere near there, I will always recommend to anyone on the North Shore! Outstanding :) Sandy @ Solatube

Leaving my car with St Ives My Car last Saturday to get my punctured tyre fixed, was a really good decision. The MyCar team were flexible to accommodate for late pickups of my vehicle, outside of business hours. This was invaluable especially as I had realised too late while shopping, that their store closes early on Saturdays and I would not have enough time to get to the store to retrieve my car. Calling My Car, was an easy conversation. They worked with me to ensure my car keys are dropped off at the Shell servo adjoining their store, which allowed me to relax and enjoy the rest of my day unhurriedly, knowing that I pickup the car at my own discretion. Because of their customer-mindness and professionalism, I would not hesitate to recommend you give them a go the next time you need servicing done - urgent or not. I certainly will.

Excellent service, competitive pricing and attention to detail!! Andrew from mycar tyre and Auto St Ives was amazing. He was extremely helpful and listened to my concerns regarding my car not “feeling how it should”. He then put my mind at ease and managed to accommodate my time constraints by fitting my car in for wheel alignment and ordered my new tyres the same day. The incorrect tyres had been delivered but for Andrew that wasn’t a problem, he organised the correct ones and replaced them immediately. BUYER BEWARE!!! I took my car in for a pink slip. It was booked in and took them an hour to call me back and then proceeded to say I needed 2 new tyres, windscreen wipers, front suspension needed fixing. The total was $1500. Now I knew my car wasn't running bad, so I took it to another mechanic (well known in the area) they went over the car, checking tyres, brakes etc. After he was finished, there was not one issue with the vehicle. This is the reason people have no trust in mechanics. Avoid these thief's at all costs.

I am absolutely impressed by the customer service by mechanic named Aedon! I walked in to check my front tire that had a nail in it , this mechanic drops everything and serves me. Fits 2 new tires and going over my car finding a few issues AEDON recommends a service to be done. I’ve booked in a service and my car is driving better then before ! Just popped in to mycar last thing on a Friday afternoon (isn't it always?) to get a new bulb for my brake light which had just gone. A very large twig was lodge in my left front wheel as my car was parked curbside during our massive storms. I couldn't see it but certainly heard it! Stan at St Ives found it and within 1 hour I had my car. Massive relief as I had a specialist appointment later that day at RNSH. A very big shout out for Stan who saved my day! I have a rental car in replacement of my own vehicle that is currently being repaired. This morning a warning light came on so I pulled into the first available service station. As I was checking the oil Sam from the service centre came out and helped me far beyond expectations. Could not recommend mycar on Mona Vale road enough and in particular Sam! I know they have just gained a new customer in me !!

Friendly team that are part of a large network of providers. This gives assurance that repairs are a good quality and that any problems can be resolved. I booked and paid online for an inspection but when I arrived found out I’d booked for a service they don’t provide (all my fault). The gentleman behind the counter was happy to advise where I could get the inspection done and happy to give me a refund.

Probably the friendliest and most helpful experience I have ever had with an Auto Service place, I went in to have my battery looked at (having had to jump start for the second time in a couple of days) Andrew from MyCar came out and tested the battery on the spot, for free, found no problem there so recommended a mobile auto electrician. Great service, will be using next time I need anything doing.

Needed a hose clip to get me out of a breakdown situation and couldn’t find a single service station that stocked them. Dropped into MyCar and saw Murray and he fixed me up in no time with exactly what I needed. He was very happy to help and looking at how tidy and organised the workshop was I’d definitely take my vehicle there for a service or repair as it looks like they take pride in their work.

I dropped in unannounced this morning as my battery seemed to need replacing. The guys at mycar were testing my battery within 5 minutes, and 30 minutes later I was back on the road with a 3yr warranty replacement at a very reasonable price. The team were all super friendly and helpful and also pointed out a couple of tyres that seem to be on their way out, so I'll be back again soon. Thanks!

Awesome service and good practice from kmart auto. Did an alignment and wheel change. Reasonable prices, friendly staff and well manged. My previous dealership used to just hold the impact drill in the bolt for ages, these guys torque them properly. TLDR- High quality service, friendly staff and very good pricing for the Upper North Shore. Will be back again!

Beware if you have a cancelled appointment. I tried to get my money back from booking online and I was told it was credited back. After this not happening, I tried to claim through the bank and mycar claimed I did have my service (which I didn't due to mycar cancelling). I am sure the service people are fine but the head office is a nightmare to deal with.

The staff at Mycar St Ives are professional and the service is very good too. I just popped in to put the license plate on the car, despite he was very busy at the moment, he helped us drill holes in the plate and find the right screws to put it on. The plate looks very nice on the car. Thanks so much for help and look forward to the car service soon.

Stopped in at My Car after my battery died on my Mazda fob. Murray looked after me replacing it on the spot for me. Such a gentleman even going out to the car to test it worked. I was really pleased with my Prado's service. Customer service was excellent, I was kept well informed of the things that needed to be done and also of the timetable. While stopped for inflating my Van’s types on 10th Dec, all the guys I met there were nice and very friendly. Murray checked and inflated all the types without charging a cent! Had similar experience in MyCar Brookvale, a young technician changed a flat type with spare one. Sometimes it really warms your heart!

The team at My Car at St Ives have been very consultative in working on my VW. We recently had a challenge with the car and they worked with me and fixed the problem, even warranting one of the jobs on the car that needed further effort. It is now fixed thanks to their du-diligence.

Big shout out to the team at St Ives Mycar and esp Murray. Took my wheel there with slow puncture. Despite them being obviously very busy, they said they will sort it out on the day. Got a call about 30 minutes later saying it is ready for collection and no charge. Great service.

Murray is a legend. I arrived with my motorbike unable to start and he kept trying things until he worked out what the issue was. As a result, I was able to ride home instead of needing a tow truck and leaving my bike in St Ives. After all that he refused to charge me anything!!
