This was the most stressful and unprofessional moving service. They sent a driver who did not speak English and his helper could not speak Spanish. My husband, who speaks broken Spanish, had to translate for the two. They took almost 7 hours to move a one bedroom apartment with belongings for 2 people. Nothing was out of the ordinary and there were 10 steps on each side. They broke the light fixture in our hallway and damaged the door latch. They did not know how to remove my sofa from the same door it was delivered through. First they told me they'd send additional guys to help carry it through the balcony. The guys never came. Then the owner, Pedro, accused us of not letting the guys do their job, which was absolutely absurd. They wasted at least an hour disassembling my couch to move it through the balcony. During that process they scratched the entire back of the couch and my husband had to assist them with the moving. They kept asking my husband for advice on how to move things, which was super stressful because it was what they were specifically hired to do. Once we got to our new house, they claimed the couch would not fit in the door and told me I'd have to dispose of the couch. After my husband gave them some ideas, they were able to move the couch in through the door. We were so happy when they were finally gone. The owner Pedro hung up on my husband when he complained and then would not return my calls for two days. Once I got a hold of him, he claimed he could only give me 2 hours off in total. I wanted 2.5 hours taken off. He also tried to claim that the couch was already damaged (it needs to be reupholstered but that has nothing to do with the long scratch along the back of the couch from where they moved it over the balcony, because they did not know how to do their job). On average, a one bedroom takes 2-3 hours to move. In this case it took 6.75 hours. I feel so cheated. Save yourself the stress and headache and pay a little more for professional movers. This was a complete joke. Receiving extremely poor service and then getting blamed for their poor service was something new for me. No concern with professionalism. This was a 4 hour job, MAX. Totally unhappy.

[We moved in October of 2021, and I did write a Yelp review but was asked to add it to Google as well. I'm doing it in hopes of saving others what we went through.] We had high hopes after reading these reviews but honestly I'm not sure where they're coming from--or maybe it was the team that moved us. Definitely NOT affordable--they are so slow that they'll take twice as much time as any other moving company. The team that moved us broke an expensive lamp, put a deep scratch in our hardwood floors (which had just been redone), and either didn't ask or couldn't understand when we told them where to put boxes. I'm going to have to put in another 2-3 hours just to move a bunch of boxes from the garage that were supposed to be in the bedroom (and vice versa). We had to physically stop them from dragging furniture over the hardwood and scratching it further--and that was after they scratched it. They told us to "just put furniture over" the floor scratch (never mind it's in the entry). Another huge issue was that two of the movers couldn't understand almost anything we said since they didn't speak English. If they had told us told us this ahead of time it would have been totally fine, and color coded boxes or something (we had them all carefully labeled) but as it was we had no warning and spent most of the day trying to communicate, which stretched the time they charged us for at least 50% more than it had to be. Clearly it didn't work, as the next three hours after they left I that I spent moving boxes to where they should be will testify. If you're moving, I'd recommend saving your time and money and avoiding this company.

They literally damaged a majority of my Mom's items that they moved. For 3 weeks we have contacted the individual that coordinated the move, to no avail. I've been getting the runaround all day with giving you numbers to call and it not being the correct person. The cops had to be called upon delivery as the did nearly $1,000 worth of damage to my Mom's home when they were packing up her belongings (they drove into her sprinkler system and main sprinkler head). They were provided an itemized bill, to which they never paid. Upon delivery we deducted the unpaid bill and they tried to leave with her belongings. They then claimed they do not accept personal checks (as she had paid upon initial pick up) - of course their contract and emails state they do. Long story short - she got all of her belongings, but they damaged a lot of items. This included dropping a safe right in front of her and stating "oh it's fine" before picking it up off its face. They will not send a claims form and state that we have to provide an explanation and pictures first before they will decide if they will proceed with a claim. DO NOT be scammed by this company. They have taken advantage of a senior citizen and tried to bully her the entire time. We will be seeking legal avenues to settle their debt. This is NOT an ethical company!

I highly recommend hiring this moving company for your next move! Not only were they prompt in answering my inquiry and emails, they called me to go over details of what we needed and explained their pricing thoroughly before committing to the job. I felt good with my decision to go with them even after getting a few other quotes around the same price, mainly because of their attentiveness to my emails and being flexible when we didn’t have an exact moving date until only a few days before. The guys showed up exactly on time the morning of the move, immediately walked the house with us to get a clear idea of what was being moved, and communicated their plan to us. They were all incredibly nice and fast at their job! There were a few pieces of furniture that they had to take apart and they made sure to attach any small pieces to the furniture to keep it all together and not lose anything, and they were super quick at taking it apart and putting it back together in the new house. They know exactly what they’re doing to get the job done fast and efficiently. Everything was wrapped and protected so it was in the same condition when it arrived to our new place. I can’t say enough good things about this team! We are very lucky to have had their help and make our move so much easier !!!

Best moving experience I’ve had in my entire life! Having lived in more than 10 cities and 5 states in my lifetime, I know the pain well when it comes to moving. Coupled with COVID-19 made it an adventure my partner and I were not really looking forward to. Jason and his crew (3 total) from Affordable Moving were very polite, had great energy, and most importantly, were on time, moved quickly throughout the move, and were extremely careful with our belongings. In addition, they wore protective gear out of respect to our current environment (i.e. masks and gloves). I can't say enough about Affordable Moving. I'll start with lifesavers, kind, respectful, understanding, patient, and honest. I literally called in a panic after waiting all day for another company scheduled to move my mother and they were so efficient and had me scheduled for a move so very quickly. It was within days in fact that the three-man team showed up ready to work. Angel, Israel, and Artem are well deserving of an excellent rating for their hard work. The respect and care they showed to my mom for the day was so greatly appreciated. These are very difficult times and I am sure they see many things. As crazy and sad as some people may be at this time, I am thankful for the staff and movers' cordial personalities, smiles, and laughter for the day. Truly. The company has moved my daughter during college several times and now my mom. The service has always been consistent with the highest quality. I would and have recommended Affordable Moving without hesitation.

After a lot of research, I finally settled on Affordable Moving for my move. I was moving a one bedroom apartment to another one bedroom over a very short distance. I already packed all my items in boxes beforehand. My biggest concern was my elevator, which had recently gone out of service. Nevertheless, the three men who showed up did an amazing job getting everything moved safely and quickly. They moved couches, large dressers, and small tables, as well as my personal items down three flights of stairs in 3 hours exact. They were really quick and arrived promptly. I would highly recommend this service and I would use Affordable Hey made my life so much easier and it was the perfect investment. My only recommendation to others who are thinking of moving- be sure as to how many people you will need to move. Not having the right quantity of movers can greatly affect the overall moving time and cost more in the long run.

DO NOT HIRE THEM! Absolutely horrible experience moving with this company. The movers were extremely rude and disruptive. A clothes hanger had fallen on the floor and the mover kept kicking it until it broke. They tore through the mattress’ plastic we had put up while moving. They moved everything via elevator but overcharged us claiming they moved it via stairs. Once moved, the movers left all their waste and garbage there and told us we will need to pay extra $$ to them to remove it from our apartment. These are tapes, plastic wraps that they themselves brought with them. They scratched our couch and when we pointed that out one of the movers got really aggressive, started screaming and proceeded to sit on one of our chairs and refused to more or leave our apartment. It was highly unprofessional to say the least. Pics attached. Please do NOT hire them. Save yourself the horror. Hire any other company but theirs.

I saw Affordable Moving on Yelp, read the stellar reviews, and knew they were the moving company for me. Steven was really polite and informative when I scheduled my appointment for February, 26, 2019, just a week in advance. Kane and Vova showed up on time and were really personable and professional. They loaded, transpirted, and unloaded my stuff to my new apartment 8 miles away in under 3 hours, which included a 45 minute drive through LA. To that speediness, add the free wardrobe boxes to use for the move and a special weekday rate (I moved on a Tuesday), and I had a fantastic experience. Kane actually thanked me for having all my stuff packed up and boxed - that really sped things up. It made things simpler for them and lowered costs for me. I haven't had a chance to unpack much, so once I'm done, I'll update the review if there are any changes.

A friend recently used their services and highly recommended that I reach out to them for a quote. So I did and after pricing out the services, I truly got the best price! Not only were their prices great, but the ease of booking...I was surprised how easy it was. I did everything via text, contact free of course. Love the communication/reminders...as i got closer to the move date i received notifications via text the day prior. On the day of the move, team of 4 guys came and took care of everything! They were extremely professional and helpful! Once I directed what’s going and what’s not, I stepped aside and they took care of everything. I budgeted 5 hours but they actually knocked it out in less than 4 hours (3.75 to be exact lol). Anyway, great prices, efficient team, service was fantastic and the whole process is super easy...highly recommend!

They were a little late but no fault of their‘s because of traffic from LA to orange county. Adam and his team were excellent. They manage to put a six bedroom house contents into a two car garage. Phenomenal packing. They shrink wrap and padded most everything as my furniture is wood and many antiques. I had packed the little things myself so they just packed furniture. They disassembled the beds and packed them where I wanted. It took 6 1/2 hours but well worth it as I don’t know anyone who could have done a better job. I want them to come back to move me when my new house is ready not sure anyone else can’t undo the packing puzzle without breaking anything. Get Adam and his swat team!

Need to move a full bedroom, submit request through their website asking availability and cost, got a phone call literally 5 minutes after confirming availability to accommodate my very very tight schedule (same day, within 3hrs). Nick and Doku showed up on time, walk me through everything and an extra cost due to very very heavy furniture and extras that were not cleary communicated by me, Both "Nick and Doku" were very polite, smiling, clean, very fast, and organize, they wrapped everything to protect . I will definitely use Affordable Moving Socal and ask for both Nick and Doku for any future move...... Did I mentioned thier traking app to track where they are through the road...

I did my fair share of research and was really impressed with all the positive reviews for Affordable Moving. They made scheduling and securing movers so easy! On the day of the move, they called me in advance to let me know their ETA and they even managed to pull their truck into a tricky spot closer to my apartment with their impressive driving skills. They were FANTASTIC! They were so efficient and seamless. They were moving so quickly and respecting all of my belongings at the same time. My husband and I were truly shocked at how professional and amazing they were. While we have no intention of moving again anytime soon, we know we'll use Affordable Moving when we do!

In all my years of moving on my own, I finally decided to hire movers for an in-state (in-city, actually) move. There's so many options it was hard to pick but their responsiveness and prompt, and clear quotes was attractive to me. Not only that, they have amazing reviews online. Totally understand the reviews now because they were AMAZING. From the follow-ups, to the truck tracking to the team of 3 guys that helped us, every touch point was fantastic. I loved that they didn’t touch anything they were not 100% sure whether or not to take. Very speedy moving and the sales manager answered all of my questions. None of my property went missing or was broken and the company IS insured for any damages at no cost to me so that was reassuring. The employees made sure to hurry and I was able to use the remaining time having them rearrange the furniture they brought in. Absolutely satisfied with my experience. I do suggest to customers to keep count of how many boxes you’ve packed and to check if your furniture has any damages BEFORE signing the end of the movers time.

How is this company rated so high?! DO NOT USE THEM! My roommate and I had a terrible experience with them. First - they robbed us. What should've been a quick moved ended up costing us a thousand dollars. We definitely paid them to take an hour lunch break. Slow moving doesn't mean affordable - they took their time with everything. On top of that, the guys tried getting me to "throw out my furniture" which I know means they were going to put things on the side of the curb and come back to pick them up and sell them later. Buyer beware! I'm still mad we chose this company.

I extremely recommend this company to move. They made my moving without any stress and made it smoothly and enjoyable. Before coming to my house they clarified my stuffs and Offered to me different size of their trucks to select then they came on time the crew were very friendly, they took care of every my stuff. They wrapped up all my furniture. Nothing was broken or scratches. Also, my new moving in adress was town house, I had a very narrow aisle and stairs but even though they did very hard job. I had the best experience with Affordable movers! Not only were they able to conform to a small move in window (which other companies I contacted couldn’t facilitate), but the employees were extremely friendly and helped with all my special requests and needs - even going above and beyond when it came to deconstructing and rebuilding a ton of my furniture. My family just made it through two moves, from Cali to Nevada, in one month with this company and they were beyond awesome. The movers show up with kind attitudes and ready to work. They worked extremely hard and were very patient. My reps name was Naz and she was wonderful. She made sure I received the best deal and even helped me reschedule a delivery during a family crisis. I’ve used other huge companies before and I would choose this one every time over those hands down.

The movers showed up halfway through the time frame which is honestly a breath of fresh air that a moving company doesn’t show up a half hour to an hour late, they packed everything up quickly, did not waste time, worked with me on organizing things. Drive faster than I expected considering it was Northridge to Rancho, and unloaded everything up three flights of stairs with no complaints or time wasted. Great price overall for what I needed. Definitely would recommend again.

Affordable Moving was great! They were very communicative before arriving and worked very hard from the moment they stepped into my apartment. I had two movers for a one-bedroom move that was up one flight of stairs. Including the drive to my new house, their total time was 4 hrs and 15 min to complete the move. They showed up with a lot of wardrobe boxes and that was super helpful in getting the smaller boxes moved quickly. Nothing was damaged. Would definitely recommend!

I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience we had with Affordable Moving. Vovan, Rafael and Jose were punctual, careful with our large and small items including huge plumerias and a gas grill. They wrapped glass top tables, beds and dressers and disassembled and reassembled everything just the way we wanted. They didn’t let us lift a finger. This was the first time I've ever hired a moving company to move and I can honestly say I won't be moving myself ever again. Nurzhan & Zhaisan from Affordable Moving were fantastic. The unit I moved from was on the third floor without an elevator & with narrow pathways and they were on point! They wrapped everything & were able get it all out and onto their truck much faster than I ever could. I highly recommend and will definitely be using them in the future.

I hired two person removal service i had to pack up my studio and put it all in storage. The service was professional efficient on time and friendly. I’m so glad i went with my friends recommendation she used them before so i knew i was in safe hands. They reassured me and were super diligent with handling my stuff as we played Tetris with my belongings as we loaded into the storage unit. Recently, I did a long distance move and came across Affordable Moving. From the get-go they were very responsive and willing to answer all my questions. As moving day approaches they were able to accommodate my schedule. I had the pleasure to work with Nurlykhan who was responsive, quick and efficient. This is my second time working with AM on a move and wow, they are just incredible. Friendly and polite personnel and super efficient and careful. My only concern was that there were a few times where their masks weren’t covering their entire faces while inside; otherwise, really excellent job! Had a great experience for a short distance move I had in San Diego. Stan and Alexandr were very punctual to begin with, were as careful as we were with most of our furniture and made us feel at ease for sure during the move. These movers were amazing! Quick, but efficient. Made sure everything I had was wrapped properly and taped properly. They loaded a trailer for me that was going cross country for my move to the east coast. They were Tetris masters that got all my stuff in safe and secure. Highly recommend

Overall, this company and the team who moved us is very good. They made right a problem caused by not getting all our belongings out of our old home on move day,(making it right without extra charge) for which we are very grateful. When I contacted them about the problem, they solved it.

Adam and Daren (nicknamed the Swat Team) were fantastic. Very efficient. Careful with all of my furniture. Wrapped then moved everything. The whole process, moving out of my apartment and into a storage unit, took two hours and 15 minutes. Amazing! Would use them again in a heartbeat.
