I never leave reviews but this place... TERRIBLE. I was at Vanderbilt and really wanted cinnamon rolls. Looked them up was way out of my way to get there on top of the chaotic Nashville roads but I had heard good things about BabyCakes so I made the trip. WRONG. Only nice thing I can say is that the staff was friendly, They did have a six pack of cinnamon rolls so I grabbed them and a couple cookies. The way they were packaged I knew eating them there was not an option. My friend wanted a cupcake so we decided to eat the cupcake and cookie in the store so we didn't make a mess in the car. I opened the snickerdoodle cookie and it was basically petrified. I asked politely were they meant to be that way. I was told yes. She offered to microwave the cookie but it only made into a hot rock. My friend was eating the cupcake and all I could see was it continue to crumble. Like it was made of sand. The icing turned out to be super sweet. When I got home the kids were there and asked if I got them anything. I handed them the chocolate chip cookies and sure enough they were just as hard. Looked at the cinnamon rolls and the icing was runny; appeared separated and the cinnamon rolls were days old. Nothing a microwave was going to do for them. I was there a little after 9 in the morning not at closing time. Nearly $30 spent on garbage. DO BETTER.

I ORDERED A STRAWBERRY CAKE ON APRIL 18TH 2023 FOR MY BDAY. WAS TOLD IT WOULD BE READY APRIL 21ST @10AM. TUESDAY, I WAS JUST TOLD THEY CAN ONLY OFFERED 20% OFF ON NEXT PURCHASE BUT IF THIS WAS MY FIRST PURCHASED EXPERIENCE I DEFINITELY DO NOT WANT ANOTHER!!!!! NO REFUNDS AT ALL. MY CAKE WAS A TOTAL OF $81.94 SO ON MY BIRTHDAY. I HAD NO EDIBLE CAKE TO EAT. SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY. I REALLY HATE TO LEAVE BAD REVIEWS, BUT THIS WAS MY EXPERIENCE. Im a trucker and I use Uber ears a lot. I love Nashville treats and this one looked promising so I bought several items. They were either great or garbage, here’s the breakdown: Chocolat Chip w/ Walnut: 5 Stars. Awesome cookie! Brownie w/ Walnut: 5 stars. Great brownie! Strawberry Cupcake: 5 stars. Exactly what you’d want. Lemon Cupcake: 2 stars. Tastes like it wants to be lemony but it wasn’t refreshing or light. Ate half and debating if it’s worth finishing later. Vanilla Cupcake: 1 Star. The frosting is lost somewhere between structured and liquid. The flavor of it tasted like medicine. There was a hint of vanilla. Threw away after 2 spoons. Chocolat Cupcake (at least that’s what I ordered): 0… zero… ZERO stars. Chocolate bottom with red vomit on top. The thing could have been used as a baseball because it was so stale it was hard as a rock. Straight to the trash. (And not it wasn’t frozen, it was barely cold, it was stale). Overall Opinion: If you’re going to be a bakery make sure you’re baking fresh, at least every other day. Quality control is a must if you want to survive. I’ll order the cookies and brownie again but for $37 I feel robbed. That’s okay. Live and learn. I hope this place gets it together because there’s a good plan in it but poor execution. Cheers

Ordered on Uber Eats. Order was ready quickly and everything was individually packed, which is nice during a pandemic but slight plastic overkill otherwise if you care about being green. The cakes and loaves come in semi tamper free packaging. Red velvet cake was my fave and the best! 5 stars lemon cake - 2 stars. The slice that I got, the icing was smothered like it had melted or they put a huge dollop of extra icing, which I like lol but then it looked like they were covering the top layer of the cake that broke in half or baked weird. almost looks undercooked bc there's some run off of the cake part under the smother of icing. Messy caramel cake - 3.5 stars. tasty and it does say messy so maybe there isn't a shape for it but it wasn't as moist as the other cakes so I wonder if it was older. Blueberry crumble bread - 4 stars, moist and tasty chocolate cookie - 2 stars. this was meh for me, wasn't anything amazing, got two cookies for $5 i think it was, but not crunchy or chewy, stale maybe. If i order again, it will only be for the red velvet and/or to try another item like the strawberry cupcake someone else got.

Cute shop. Went in to inquire about a birthday cake, the lady who assisted did not seem like she wanted to help me, and just kept telling me to check the website. Which yes i know I can do that but i also wanted to see what my options would taste and look like. Then she yelled at me to only look at the signs when choosing the cupcake flavors... I left after purchasing two cupcakes to try but just how I was treated I wont bother to come back. There was a birthday party going on but if the public was not supposed to come in during that party at least turn the open sign around to closed or have someone else available to assist the general public when do they come in so that it doesn't fall on one person to do everything. So with all of that my experience was not the greatest. Plus, 15-20 minutes after eating one of the cupcakes I started to have a major excruciating headache that lasted for hours. Yes I know, my experience might be different from someone else.

We purchased our wedding cake from BabyCakes. A round cake for the cake cutting pics, plus a sheet cake for our guests. We decided on buttercream frosting and decorative flowers. What a beautiful cake! So professionally done and also delicious! It was even better than we hoped for. Not only is the owner a wonderfully talented baker, she is also a genuinely nice, friendly, smart, hardworking, kind lady. She went above and beyond for us on our wedding day at personal inconvenience to herself. Her prices are, thankfully, quite reasonable considering the disgraceful price gouging that goes on in Nashville with anything wedding related (one place quoted me $1,200 for one cake for 80 people - come ON, y'all ) She will try her best to get your cake done ASAP unlike some places that tell you they are booked out for 3 months which again seems crazy to me. We are so grateful for BabyCakes and would recommend her for any event. Thank you!

I purchased this cake last minute as I lost track of time. I paid just over 50.00 for this cake, it is what it is I try to always support small businesses. They knew that this was a very old cake prior to selling it to me as a asked for a happy birthday topper to be put on the cake. Instead of calling me to tell me that it was not up to the quality I would expect and canceling the sale the rather give me this cake that I was beyond embarrassed for to give to the my ex wife on her birthday on behalf of our daughter. I apologized to her for her having to eat this cake on her birthday, when I called the bakery they wanted to defend the quality and tell me that the cake was made on Tuesday and no way could it be stale. Well here is the evidence, do yourself a favor and find another small business that will appreciate your business and will do what it takes to earn your business. BabyCakes’s bakery is not it!

My order was placed on Sunday and I received it on Friday at the exact time they said. @anthonyloftie didn’t lie when he said they were fresh and crunchy on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside. They literally melt in your mouth. They are so good, I will be purchasing my new snack with a monthly snack order of five bags a month. You better grab yours and a good movie then cuddle up with the one that make you melt. Or just get comfortable alone and then you don’t even have to share, lol. The purchase will be well worth it!

I purchased an Oreo chocolate cake for my sisters birthday. When I got it home - it was not chocolate, and not only was it not chocolate it was not good. Tasted like nothing- the texture was undercooked? Spongey? I don’t know how to describe it. When we called to complain- she did offer us a brand new cake- however we traveled 2 hours to get the first cake. The service was amazing however the cake was just not what we paid 50$ for! Maybe it was a fluke- just didn’t want this to happen to anyone else.

I absolutely love everything about this bakery! The owner is always so kind to my family! She even took it upon herself to remember that my son has a tree nut allergy. She always has something for him to enjoy. My children absolutely love this shop and tells me that everyone that works there feels like family. Not to mention the delicious treats. I love that there is always so much to choose from and everything is reasonably priced. 10/10 I recommend everyone to try the banana pudding and cupcakes!

I just received my second order of caramel puffs. And, just like the first order they are fresh crunchy on the outside and melts in your mouth from the inside. The arrival was the exact timeframe as last time. Now, I’m waiting to place my order for my June order of their new white chocolate drizzle caramel puffs as advertised on @anthonylofftie YouTube page. Don’t wait to try them all out for y’all self. I tried a few different things from the menu and everything was just OK to me. I got a mixture of their treats as well as the breakfast sandwich. The breakfast sandwich was perfectly fine. It didn’t really wow me but hit the spot that morning. In terms of the treats, probably my favorite was the bag of crumbled cookies and the cake cups. The cookies were fun to eat and it is a great way to repurpose something yummy. The cake slices I got were also just OK for me. Felt a bit too dense.

A huge shoutout to the employee who went above and beyond to decorate my Uber Eats birthday gift order. It's now clear that they don't have birthday cake packaging but I had written a note as a special request and so they drew happy birthday on the bag for me. Very sweet and even though it wasn't the premier packaging others may have it's nice to see them go above and beyond to be thoughtful!

I passed this place on my way back to knoxville. I bought an oreo cake to bring back to celebrate my brother's 13th birthday. It was sooo good! I thought it was pricey for an 8 inch chocolate cake but decided to go for it and I'm so glad I did. It had an amazing cheesecake type filling inside that I didn't even realize there was going to be. Was very delicious.

Paid $6.00 for a piece of cake that was very stale and flavorless. It is a shame that they are selling old baked goods at full prices. Should have realized that the items were old because at 3PM the display case was full of items and there were no other customers. Good bakeries are always busy and run out of things by 3PM!

We ordered three items. The bourbon pecan tart was excellent. The carrot cake, however, was very dry which was surprising. The chocolate walnut cookies were described as “gooey” but were far from “gooey.” They were so hard we couldn’t even bite them. This is my second and final attempt with this business.

BabyCakes Bakery is so nice. She made two cakes for Janet Jackson, when they came to rehearse for her tour. Luke Combs bought Four cakes. They all were amazing!!! The food was so good. The customer service was so good and the owner is amazing. BabyCakes Bakery is amazing. YOU WILL LOVE IT!! ❤️

I had never done buisness with BabyCakes before, and called on a Monday requesting a cake for 50 people. I was insured my cake would be ready as needed.Come Thursday I stopped in to pick up my order, and was more than pleased.This bakery was the perfect choice for a professional cake.

My daughter and I popped in after getting our nails done. She had a delicious cake pop, we shared a slice of red velvet and I bought cinnamon rolls for the next morning. It was all delicious. Can’t wait to go back soon. Love having a local bakery in the neighborhood!

Yashica was wonderful! She was pleasant and helpful. Helped us figure out what to eat for breakfast with delicious coffee. The breakfast bake was full of flavor and just right for someone wanting something quick and easy. Would love to come again!

Really wanted to support a black-owned business. I got the red and lemon velvet slices. Cake was tough. Could not eat. Giving 2 stars because the owner was nice and I hope it works out. Hard to find moist, tender cake these days, though.

Ordered chocolate chip cookies with and without walnuts. They advertise them as soft and gooey but they are neither soft or gooey. The were tasteless and hard as a rock. Do not order… awful product
