Update: They reached out and made this cake work for me which I GREATLY appreciate. I hope in the future they are able to find more ways to open more channels to connect with their customers. I’m excited to keep supporting this business! yummy cake but the customer service needs some work. You can't order over the phone because no one is there to answer, you can't go inside to order because they've shut off their front doors since covid, and you can't order online unless you're ordering the day of. I've been calling this entire month and haven't been able to place an order. Even when you pick up your cake theres no interaction, they just place your cake outside for you to pickup without so much as a hello or thank you.

I took my husband to Nashville for a surprise 35th birthday trip. Our trip was planned out last minute and was worried I wouldn't be able to find a bakery that could provide a cake so last minute. Baked on 8th was great! You can order for same day pick up and the whole process was super easy. The cake looked absolutely perfect - even the personalized message turned out better than I expected! I chose the 6" Chocolate Peanut Butter cake - it was fluffy, rich, and moist with the perfect amount of detail and icing. I placed my order when we arrived in Nashville at 6pm for next day pickup - at 8am I received a text that my cake was ready! Super impressed with everything and thankful I found this bakery for our trip!

We have bought cakes and sweets here multiple times in recent months-always making same-day orders. Each time, the cakes have been fresh, well-assembled, and absolutely delicious! A small sugar plaque can be added to personalize the cake for a birthday or other special occasion. Usually the cakes are ready to be picked up within minutes to, at most, a couple of hours after your order is placed on their app! While somewhat more expensive than grocery store cakes, Baked on 8th cakes have custom bakery quality at very reasonable prices! Like a weeknight custom cake! Cookies and bars are great too-pick up a couple of oatmeal cream pies while you are at it!

My wife and I ordered a cake and over 100 cookies for our wedding reception this past weekend. The cake tasting was the hardest wedding decision we made because EVERYTHING was so good! We settled on red velvet and almond, which was the right choice! The chocolate chip cookies were a huge hit as wedding favors! Baked on 8th delivered our cake and cookies and took care of everything. We didn't have to lift a finger! As far as we are concerned, Baked on 8th is the best place for anything and everything you could ever need for parties, weddings, or just a quick snack. We are already looking forward to our anniversary cake!

Ordered online for same day pickup - classic yellow cake with chocolate icing. Received a text that my order was ready less than 10 minutes later. A coworker picked up the cake for me. She text me saying “OMG!!! It looks and smells soooo good.” The cake was actually very good. (It was cold and a little hard to cut through at first but was better after it sat out for a few hours.) The chocolate icing was thick, rich, fudge-like and delicious. You will definitely need something to drink lol. One person at the office that doesn’t usually eat cake, loved it. Good job Baked on 8th.

I’ve been really excited to try Baked on 8th... and it has not disappointed me! When I saw this business was going to open not very far from Dozen - a favorite spot of mine - I thought wow that is very brave.... but it’s a totally different experience with great quality, beautiful treats and a very friendly staff. not pictured here is an orange cranberry pound cake that was so good. the cake is so moist and thick and so satisfying. definitely worth stopping in and splurging on a treat. The cakes are beautiful!

I look forward to enjoying a treat from Baked in 8th when I’m in Nashville. Their cages and cookies are delicious. They will also decorate special occasion cakes that are one of a kind. Very talented! I’m just sorry that the pandemic had changed their way of doing business; order online for same day pick up … Miss being able to smell the inside of the store and browse. I’d spend more money that way, especially on am empty stomach. But I won’t give up their tasty treats!!! Highly recommend!!!

We tried this bakery because we wanted a vegan cake for our nephew's birthday. We ordered a 6- inch vegan chocolate ganache cake. As soon as we entered the shop, we could smell different flavors of cakes and cupcakes. Our expectations were raised by that visit. To be honest. I wasn't expecting a vegan cake to be delicious. But the cake surprised me. It was quite tasty and was big enough for 7-8 people. Everyone loved the cake. We are definitely ordering our next cake with them.

Every cake we’ve ever gotten from here has been delicious. We recently ordered a cake for our daughter’s Minnie Mouse themed party and they really brought my idea to life. I was blown away with how amazing it looked and the taste was even better. It received so many compliments from everyone at the party. They have great customer service. Everyone was kind and helpful. We’ll be getting all of ours cakes from here in the future!

Bakery on 8th was wonderful! It's a casual little spot and not too crowded. The service was great and the lady who waited on us took the time to offer us numerous options. We didn't feel rushed at all. I had the strawberry bread and my girlfriend had the blueberry scone, and we both had a cup of drip coffee. It was possibly the tastiest fruit bread I've ever had. She enjoyed the scone quite a lot, also. I highly recommend it!

We spotted this quirky looking bakery whilst walking to Downtown Nashville and had to pop our heads in to check it out, and I'm glad we did. They choice and variety of baked treats was so intimating, we had to grab a few things. Coconut scone, blondie and a double chocolate cookie. I ordered a custom cake from Baked on 8th for my birthday during a trip to Nashville. I was pleased with the reasonable price they quoted me and they were accommodating to my requests. The cake was beautiful and absolutely delicious (strawberry flavor). Additionally, we ordered some extra sweets for the weekend (cookies, a muffin, and a pop tart). Everything tasted incredible! We will definitely be back.

Place used to be awesome when you could go inside and pick stuff out. Renovations seemed to have been excuse to not open inside for a while (the perception, not fact). Now they just open the door whisper your name and throw the food on a table and slam the door. Pop tarts are great though. Rice Crispy are great too. Hopefully the 2 going on 3 year renovations wrap up soon. Look forward to returning.

Beautiful cake!! The process of ordering and same day pick up was so easy and they were so nice when they handed me my cake! I got a 6 inch red velvet cake and asked for a custom message and it turned out lovely and tasted DELICIOUS. Made my life super easy during my quick trip to Nashville to surprise my sister for her birthday. Definitely recommend! (The candles did not come with the cake)

I had them make my birthday cake and it was the most beautiful and delicious cake I’ve ever had! It’s easy to order from their website for small things as well. They are very safe during the pandemic. You can order online or over the phone, and when you arrive you text them and they put your order outside on a table. Amazing! Just bought the chocolate bourbon pecan pie (derby pie) for Thanksgiving. The pie itself is beautiful and I couldn't stop thinking that it was the best choice I've ever made getting that pie with every bite I took. I am also impressed with their covid response. I asked for a 6in cake for my 21st birthday that had small decorations like a frog and a few smiley face flowers on and they blew it away. I’m also from out of state so I didn’t know much about them other than their website but I was blown away when I received my cake. I got the cake in the chocolate ganache flavor and it taste amazing. I would 100% recommend them.

Intoxicating atmosphere of sweetness when you walk in! I bought some Christmas sugar cookies to add flair to my homemade assortment. Not only were the cookies beautiful they tasted AMAZING! I ordered I 2nd birthday cake for a special young lady. We were having a taco themed party and Baked on 8th knocked it out of the park! I sent in some Pinterest inspiration photos and they exceeded what I thought was even possible. The cake was absolutely delicious as well, not always the case with something this beautiful.

Placed an online birthday cake order at 6:30pm, had a beautiful cake the next morning at 8:00 am. Excellent turn around time for a delicious and beautiful cake. One of the best red velvet cakes we have had from a bakery in a very long time. The icing wasn't overly sweet nor was the cake overloaded with red dye. It was the perfect sweetness! They also have a really cute mural on the side of the building for photo ops!
