Not the greatest experience due to the customer service. Upon arrival, was not told which doors to go to. My fiancé and I went out for the first time in months not expecting to be as disappointed as we were. We went to get our snacks and waited in line for 3 mins at least to be serviced, mind you it was not a busy night, but also there were 3-4 employees behind the counter chatting amongst each other. I get it... all were young teenagers they probably had some gossip to catch up on but we were waiting and were going to be late to our movie. Anyways, eventually when we got serviced my fiance ordered two alcoholic beverages and two fountain drinks, and they were opened up by one of the cashier girls (she looked to be at least 17)before informing us that they had to be opened before we could find our seats then proceeded to tell us that they had no trays for our drinks. 4 drinks, two bags of popcorn, and two treats we had no way of carrying it all in one trip so we asked if we could have a bag or something to free up hand space. EVENTUALLY we got a paper bag. We then saw one of the girls give another customer a tray, the same tray we asked for but was told that they were out ... we asked if we could have one of them too and the girl said that it would not fit our drinks but reluctantly gave us a tray anyway, the drinks fit perfectly. There were other things throughout the evening that made it difficult to enjoy our time there but we tried to make the most of it. However, I'm not sure we will be going back to the Ancaster location after such an experience...

Garbage experience managed by incompetent teenagers. Dirty seats, lazy service, rude workers. Never thought I’d leave a review for a movie theatre but here were are, folks. Was here on Dec 26 to see a Miyazaki movie playing at 3:40 pm - you’d expect good service - it’s a holiday and people are PAYING CUSTOMERS and workers are paid TIME AND A HALF. No, I was told they can’t make unsalted popcorn. I told them it wasn’t a big deal if some salted kernels got in, not an issue at all but if they could pop a small batch of unsalted, that would be appreciated… have been to countless movie theatres in Toronto where I live and this has never been an issue. Would just have to wait 10-20 minutes. Nope. Was met with “we can’t” by every blonde girl working - one of them was a manager? L-o-l. No apology? Just awkwardly stared at me? Yes, girls, yes you absolutely CAN. You just don’t WANT to - big difference. Cannot believe the bar is so low - embarrassing.

Awful experience at this cineplex - dirty and poorly managed. Went to see an R rated movie Sunday afternoon. There was no attendant checking tickets upon entry so that meant very young children (8-10 year olds) were able to walk into the theater and disrupt those trying to enjoy a movie. These children were loud, obnoxious and of course immature. They kept running in and out of the theater giggling, shouting, kicking seats and talking throughout the movie. It got so annoying that one-movie goer shouted at these kids to "either leave and not come back or sit and be quiet". Allowing children to enter an R rated theater is not only irresponsible of the cineplex to allow children access to inappropriate material but ruins the experience for those adults trying to enjoy watching a movie. And, this theater is disgustingly dirty. Dirty seats and carpets. Do not come here!

Some of the theatres in this complex are in bad shape. Specifically Theatre4, the projection screen has very noticeable vertical bands, and several damaged streaks near the middle of the screen. Others aren't this bad, as I've seen movies in several of their theatres, but the seats and armrests are very hard, and each time I sit in one for more than an hour my arms go numb and I am forced to shift around to try and find some comfort, instantly taking me out of the experience. Great appeal from outside, but without some new screens, more carpet washing, and new seats, more and more will consider other locations.

All of my previous experiences with this location have been sublime which is why I’m not pleased with having to provide a one star review. It was my friend’s birthday yesterday night and we wanted to watch the new Mission Impossible movie which was scheduled to air at 10:30. We made it to the theatres at 10:45 and were introduced to a locked door. The staff watched us and didn’t bother to let us in which I’m shocked as this has never happened before and it is quite disappointing that we couldn’t watch a 2 hour movie that doesn’t even start until 10:45 anyways with all the trailers and such. *thumbs down*

Good location with proximity to eateries but poorly maintained facilities and mostly all snacks unavailable during to "supplier issues" and no combos available. I live near the stoney creek cineplex and never experienced this. Sound quality in our theatre (I believe it was #7) was weak. There were also mismatched bulbs in the sconces which was perplexing and a sign of laziness. Management needs to really evaluate their priorities and the principles of customer experience.

Went here to watch Oppenheimer in Cinema 9. Overall, the movie experience was good. The sound quality was good and the temperature inside was just right. Seats were average-sized. There were several washrooms to be used by movie-goers. Various food options were also available. Employees were all quite nice and welcoming. The movie was excellent too! Overall, a really good experience.

Lots of different theatre type options depending on what your viewing preferences are. Standard, IMAX, 3D, 4D, and Dbox are available across titles. This is also one of the only centres in the area that currently run daytime viewings so it's great for those options as well. New mobile app makes buying tickets and choosing your seat a breeze.

Horrible. This theater used to be one of the best. But their concession stand was messy and not stocked. No pop, no candy. I asked for water, tap water, and was charged 6.00 for it. Not to mention the cup had a leak in it and most of my expensive tap water was on the floor by the end of the movie.

Always love going here it’s so clean and nice! But I wish they do refills for the drinks! But for only large drinks ! Because it cost a lot for them big bag boy drinks so yeah highly recommend them to do that but again for only large drinks , but other then that it’s very clean and very comfy!!

It’s nostalgic coming here every time because this was my after high school cinema that I went to. I know things have change, combo prices and I’m not sure if they served alcohol back then. I feel like this cineplex has more parking compared to Hamilton mountain.

One white lady got us kicked out of the theatre for “noise” when we weren’t even making a lot of noise. She went and told the manager and the manager said you have to get out right now and no refund given. We didn’t even get a chance to explain ourselves.

I used to love this theatre as a kid even the one that used to be on upper James but in recent years I have found Ancaster a bit lacking my biggest dispute is the seats I feel they could use a huge upgrade but all and all still a great theatre

Was so excited to see Mission Impossible after we celebrated my friend’s birthday, but we arrived a little late at 10:45 pm when the movie starts at 10:30 pm. I have been to this theatre for many years and know for a fact the movie doesn’t

Usually clean. Staff are as nice as you can expect teenagers to be. As well as the usual popcorn, soda and candy stand, there is also frozen yogurt sold by weight, and a small kitchen that makes burgers 'n fries and terrible pizza. There

I love the location and theatre, but the back seats are broken. I tried 6 different ones just to check out, and the springs were almost coming through the material. I saw Mission Impossible and could barely sit. I had my jacket under me.

  • Lindaaa

This was a very nice place. The theatre was actually empty and we had a great time. The popcorn was great. There was not much of a wait time to get the popcorn although the movie did not start at the right time but 15 minutes later.

  • Jennifer Coonjah

I prefer Tuesdays because of Cineplex special prices. My kids and I watched The Little Mermaid after school. Of course, my kids wanted the popcorn which they said was yummy. Friendly staff and good seating. Definitely going again!

Went and seen Migration with the wife and kids at the 12:30pm show. It was shown on ScreenX and it was a great experience, the kids loved it. We prefer SilverCity Ancaster. Love the food but kinda pricey

Ancaster Cineplex's IMAX for "Oppenheimer" premiere with stunning visuals and immersive sound. However, seats could be more comfortable for longer movies. Overall, a captivating experience. …

Clean but expensive. $26 on 2 adult tickets, $22 for 2 regular drinks, and a regular pop corn. This reminds me why I hadn't gone to a movie theater in 4.5y. Went to support Sound of Freedom.

  • Aliyeh R

I went for Avatar 3D, it started with 10-15 min delay because of the advertisements. Seat was not very comfortable compared to the Landmark cinemas. But my overall experience was good.

  • colin craig

The theatre was well kept and the customer service was polite. The Starbucks inside had very limited options for drinks but other than that and the prices it was a good visit.

  • Robert McGoldrick

The last time my family went, there were virtually no snacks to choose from, and some soda onions weren't available. Perhaps just an ordering mix-up?

  • Lifeberg Lifeberg

Their IMAX theatre was great to enjoy movies. Seats might need an upgrade, but other than the seats, screen and sound were clear to enjoy the show...

  • Jesse Freeman

Came back for the first time in years. Garbage laying around, No stock of items, just an overall let down. And I haven’t even seen the movie yet

  • Susan Dunkey

Saw the color Purple not very busy at all I think we were only 10 people in our theater I forgot what a theater experience was like fantastic

  • Wendy Humphrey

It's a movie theater. The screens are big and the sound is excellent. The seats are comfortable, though I do wish they reclined.

  • Leo Reise

Best time to go to a movie is 1215 hors on a weekday. BTW - The Boys in a Boat is a great watch.

  • Tammy Lynn

Great movie!! Still a great place for friends to meet and have a good time.
