"I have tried to call for 2 days in a row around luch time (well before 1pm) but they say they are closed!? I've used their service before but I'm from Victoria and I don't want to spend $200 for the gas and ferry boat when I can just mail my documents"

The website lacks info, lack of response from email and phone. Best to walk in and ask questions in person. If you need to legalize a document, the website portion is confusing and the person looking after that is not always there. The temporary resident visa process is a bit tricky. Not all of the info is on the website. Best to set up appointment via the link on their website about 2 weeks ahead of when you think you are ready with documents, email them with your appointment info as requested, and then the consulate (Lourdes) will send you back a long email with more detailed instructions. The consulate itself is on the 4th floor in a rather small unit with about 6 seats and not a lot of standing room. If the consulate is busy, best to wait downstairs or return at a later time. Everyone there is nice, but I just wish the website has the answers and the consulate is willing to respond to emails and phone calls.

10 stars for this place. I had to get some tramites done and the consulate went above and beyond in guiding me. They were in constant communication with me letting me know what documents are acceptable and what are not etc. On the day of my appointment, I arrived 10 min early and was let in almost immediately. Connie and Lourdes were just the most amazing people. They spoke to me in such a nice and humane manner and were very quick in the way they processed my information for the visa. They asked me to come back and collect my passport at 3pm. The humanity of the Mexican people is reflected very accurately at this consulate. All in all, an amazing consular experience. Thank you so much!

Totally concur how shameful it is to waste people's time by getting them to call or email when you don't intend to respond. Do I have to drive 5 hours to the office just to make an appt! Makes me totally rethink whether Mexico is worth the effort. Adding to this review as went there without a appt and understand the Vancouver office phone calls are answered by their California office!! The staff here are quite helpful so can't be blamed. Have my visa with relatively no problems.

I have tried to call for 2 days in a row around luch time (well before 1pm) but they say they are closed!? I've used their service before but I'm from Victoria and I don't want to spend $200 for the gas and ferry boat when I can just mail my documents. Why is nobody answering the phones and why is it saying you are closed when you're not?!

I wish there were 10 stars to show how much my husband and I appreciated all the help from Connie. I was upset because I didn't think I qualified for Temporary Residency but through Connie's help we discovered a way that I would qualify. We think she went above and beyond. Thanks Connie for making our dream come true.

Can’t say enough nice things about our recent experience at the Consulate. The woman who processed our permanent residency applications was very friendly and efficient. She made the whole experience far less stressful than we thought it was going to be. We truly hope that the rest of the process is that seamless.

Excellent service. If they don’t pick the phone is because they are really busy. Give them a voicemail and they will call you back. Gaby Piña is a star! She gives the extra mile! Very accommodating and understanding with my baby. Daniela also responded my questions kindly and quickly.

Dealing with the Mexican consulate in Vancouver was a much more enjoyable experience than I thought it would be. I mean, most of us have had to jump through at least a few hoops when it comes to bureaucratic processes, right? Not in this

I had an appointment in the early morning to renew my passport because I work during the nights and it was handy for me. Once I paid and they took my photos, their system crashed twice. So, instead of taking half an hour as supposed, it

Their phone service is a joke. They keep you waiting for hours and never pick up the phone. They have a menu where they make go through many options just to find what you need and when you select the option needed their system fails and

The operator was really nice, I was just on the phone and noticed they were off work, so I hung up, but the operator quickly called back and asked me what was going on. All my questions were answered, very pleasant experience

My wife and I had an appointment with Connie to get our permanent residency visa. She had prepped us to bring the required documents. Her appointment was on time, and efficient. Our visas were ready at 3 on the same day.

The Consulate staff is very professional and efficient. I was dealing with Humberto and Alejandra, both of whom replied promptly to emails and phone calls, and got the job done. Couldn't have been a better experience.

I have been trying to reach people at the consulate for weeks/months via phone calls and emails and have yet to hear from anyone (no one has been answering the phone and no one has replied to any emails).

  • Stefan Mahon

Good service and professional. Ensure you make your appointment and stamped bank statements are key! I would have given 5 stars if the phone in option was easier to use. We were never able to get through.

  • Eduardo Cantu

My experience was very good. I went there to renew my Mexican Passport and my INE. I took the time to read their website previously and I scheduled a meeting through the system.

  • Mikey D

The service in the office is spectacular, however they need someone more fluent in English to answer phones and book appointments. The website is really hard to navigate

  • Doug Podzun

Friendly and fast service. Went for a Mexican passport renewal and was quite pleased with how efficient and nice they treated us.

  • Amy S

Fast, efficient, friendly and professional service. Had such a good experience with the staff here!
