Super helpful and nice people there. Also this Consulate is nothing like a high-security United States Consulate where everyone has to go through metal detector etal and leave their bags behind. Rather this is a very welcoming and cosy service window just like your neighborhood bank teller service, with friendly people at the window to greet you. Damaris Helwig handled our visa applications and she was very patient to go through all required documents with us. It turned out that one document we prepared (travel insurance) did not meet their requirement but she didn't simply turn us away, instead she asked us to get a new copy of the document issued by our insurance company and email her back. Once we obtained the new document the next day, our visas were approved within 24 hours. Cherry on the top: when we were waiting for her to enter our information, my wife started reading a hard-cover book "Swiss Immigration to Canada" available in the waiting room. When Damaris saw that, she offered to give us a copy of that high quality book for free, which was also greatly appreciated. The only downside is that they're too busy, and when we tried to book online at the beginning of April, the earliest timeslot is almost 5 weeks away. But overall, we had a superb experience visiting this consulate to get our Schengen visa. Probably the best visa interview experience ever!

Went there today really stressed out because my flight is in 1 week and I’ve been waiting on this appointment for almost 2 months now. But the gentlemen who helped process my application was amazing. Not only did he let me start earlier than my appointment time (At 9:00), but he was so efficient with everything. I was also missing a scan of my Canadian visa (passport), and my heart dropped but he kindly told me I could just run downstairs quickly and make a copy at the small shop on the ground floor. I have had many terrible visa experiences (particularly at the French Consulate) but this was by far the most efficient one. Whether or not I get my visa application processed in time, I appreciate the gentlemen helping me today very much. I believe his name might have been Andrew but I am not entirely sure

I'm writing in to say how happy I am with the service and overall experience during my application for my visa! It's a process that I usually dread as I've applied for numerous visas as it can be confusing and time consuming. The process was quick, easy, and information was readily available. The turn around time was incredible (Swiss efficiency is not a joke) and most of all the staff was very helpful. The gentleman that helped me was amazing he was genuinely enthusiastic when handing me my visa. ADVICE: Be sure to follow the steps in the PDF for the application and set appropriate timelines for yourself as some of the documents you gather can take time. If you follow this step by step you will have no problem. They are also very responsive to email if you have any questions.

Very efficient, Very prompt! I am so impressed by the level of professionalism, service and speed that I have experienced during my Schengen visa application at this consulate. I've had some very difficult experiences in the past with the French consulate but the Swiss team here in Vancouver is just awesome! We travelled from a different province to submit our visa documents . So I was abit nervous . However the officer (unfortunately didnt get his name ) was so helpful. We reached there some minutes before the appointment time. Yet he accepted our documents . He explained everything and scrutinized all documents carefully to ensure that we didnt have to return . He was friendly and effecient .

My girlfriend and I had booked flights to Vancouver to have her visa done for an upcoming trip, and Andrew let us know that we could mail it in. It arrived last Thursday morning, and was already out of Vancouver by Friday night. Andrew also helped answer all our emails online quickly, and saved us a lot of time. I highly recommend this consulate for your Schengen visa!

Amazing experience at this consulate. Polite and helpful staff, easy to get everything done online and pay for the services. Everything needed for visa is listed on their website so just follow the list. Appointment was very efficient and went smoothly! Within 15 minutes I submitted all documents and that’s it! I just can't say enough. I don't like pointing out at someone specific but Willy just made my whole experience as great as it could be. He was so calm, polite and understanding about the whole situation (snow storm, flight drlys etc). He was so considerate and also gave me another time slot out of his busy schedule. The process was very quick and easy. Literally, took me 15 minutes including the wait time. The timings are 9:00 to 13:00, however, I was booked in for 8:30 and the consulate was already open. There's a private parking (Impark) right in front of the building and I don't think you need to purchase the parking for more than an hour if you are booked early.

Needed information for my child, which will visit our family in Switzerland. She has a valid Swiss Passport but her PR Card is expired and the new one hasn't arrived yet. We wanted to know if there will be a problem on the return flight. Answer was: Not our problem, you have to deal with the Canadian Immigration. Thanks for the help for your own people.

Super efficient and professional I flew from Calgary to Vancouver to process my first schengen visa, I was a little bit nervous but everything went smoothly, because of my nationality my application had to go through Schengen approval but after 15 calendar days I received my passport with my visa, now I’m writing this review from Rome. I am surprised with this location. The best consulate I have ever visited. Andrew was really helpful and made whole experience of applying for visa less stressful. Professional and at the same time friendly, this is how all consulates should be, but unfortunately that’s not the case with other countries.

This place is awesome. I flew there from Alberta with all my required documentation on a Monday. And I was flying to Switzerland on Friday. By Wednesday evening, my passport had been returned with the Schengen visa in it. These guys actually respond to queries via email.
