Needs a better system with mailing ballots. 1. My brother and I did not receive our ballots at all. My uncle who resides in the same address as we do received his at least 1 or 2 weeks ago. Same thing happened to my mom. Her landlord received theirs while she didn't. Our names did not show up in the Return to Sender list and we checked everyday if our names show up so we could have taken the necessary steps to vote on time. 2. They made the announcement of in person voting for those did not receive their ballots on Tuesday, May 3rd. That did not give me enough time to request off from work on a week day. 3. Voted Saturday. The building was close to the public. There only 2 staff from the consulate that were present by the door for anyone who wants to drop their ballot or like me who wants to fill out one. There was a long wait in between their process. First step was to provide the photocopy of your passport then it takes them a while to come back with an affidavit to be filled out. Step two was to return the filled out affidavit and then wait again for them to come back with a ballot package. Last step is to fill out the ballot and hand over to them. Knowing that there is a handful of those who did not receive their ballots, I would have expected to at least have minimum 4 staff in the ground floor to cater and handle the people submitting and filling out the ballots. There was no set up at all by the door to make filling out the ballot better. I had to fill out mine at Starbucks which was definitely a first for me. And how can I be sure that my vote will count? I just handed my ballot to a staff, no watchers, and they had to bring my ballot to the 6th floor. The consulate needs to be more organized and prepared for situation like this. It is their to cater and assist their citizens, with their rights and needs.

Government offices on foreign land needs to cater to kababayan’s need. Officers needs to see the bigger picture of their duties and responsibilities. They need to cater and be mindful of the people who come and is asking for their purpose in hand which the Consulate offers. First, Appointment were made a month ago, on your appointment date you are faced with long queue. Appointments were served 45 minutes after your booked time. Secondly, no printer paper for the queue number. Very lucky people coming in have cellphones handy to take a picture of it. Better note of it because it will be asked on your assigned window. Thirdly, Behind the desk officers should have more patience and be more accommodating. People travelled from different places, even for long hours and expect for better service nonetheless. This feedback is not to give negative view but hopefully make rooms for improvement.

April 04 2023 Processing of documents. So far so good. I will update. --- My experience today was awesome! One of the staff (Erlinda) helped me out greatly with the processing of my son's birth registration. It's best to have an appointment in advance of course. Upon arrival, do a temperature check. Key-in your name and last name/ or reference number at the machine by the door which will give you a printed number so you'll know which window to go to. After you get the number, scan it to get a health declaration form then you can wait for your turn. Screens near the waiting area will tell you which window to go to. Make sure to bring CASH. They don't accept anything else (at least that day). They are great with emails too. All my concerns were addressed before I went via email.

The employees were helpful and were nice enough to wait and let us get things we were missing (approved envelope and CAD) from the downstairs little store. Dont listen to what the website tells you about making sure to being approved envelope for shipping and bringing a passport photo. The little shop at the lobby of the building sells you the shipping label and the approved envelope otherwise the place wont accept what you bring. They also take the passport picture themselves and wouldnt accept the ones we brought. The website needs to update these information because we wasted money on those things and didnt even get to use them.

I went to the Consulate last Sept 7,2023 to get an AOS for my niece. I don't have an appointment but Joy(window 7) still accommodated me She asked if I'm already a Senior Citizen(walk in for seniors is 12-1pm)and I'm not. She told me to go back at 3pm and she processed the papers very calm and smooth. I picked up the documents the next day. And today, Sept 19,2023 went back with my son and daughters to get a mortuary certificate ,Joy was very helpful, very knowledgeable of what she does and very well mannered. Very much appreciated Joy and keep up the good work and we can't thank you enough. Well deserved....

I called POLO Vancouver yesterday (March 8, 2023) to inquire, luckily, I spoke with Niel and he was very accommodating and patient to explain to me what can I do. He answered all my inquiries and provided information very professional. I know that all of the employees in our Consulate are doing their best to help and you guys always got the bad impression of being MASUNGIT but some of our Kababayan don’t understand that you are only following the rules. Just wanted to commend the team of Philippine Consulate in Vancouver specially the POLO team for the GREAT SERVICE WITH VERY WARM PEOPLE! Thanks.

So disappointed, so I went to this office from my graveyard shift, only to find out that they decided to close yet google clearly says they're open, also no advisory on the website. I understand that weather is a bit heavy, but please also consider your clients who came all the way from wherever just to access the services you provide. A single advisory on your website would've been more appreciated than a guard handing a note saying you're close for the day. If I could only rate this place like the negative weather we have, I would. Hope you understand, no hate, just saying

Today was not a good experience with the consulate officer I had. I book a couple of months ago for 1:00-1:30 pm however I got a call from the embassy few days ago that I need to come 9:00 am because they have something with the celebration of Philippine Independence Day and it wasn’t a dealbreaker for Me I was just upset how the officer wasn’t nice and not accommodating at all. We drove 8 hrs to get to the consulate office just to get a cold treatment from her. I was even excited to show my son the Philippine Embassy but with my dismay I just can’t wait to leave.

Whoever I talked to today absolutely rude!!!! I never give reviews but this one deserves it. If only i ask her name. Called several time but they cancelled my call probably hang it up twice only to be answered by a grumpy lady on the other line on the third time. Asked her about police clearance and she was like “btw it’s not police clearance, it’s NBI”. which clearly stated in your website and email in close and open parentheses (POLICE CLEARANCE). check your employee’s attitude. Why work there if you are not of a help to your fellow kababayan?

After I was given date of Oath Taking Filipino Citizenship, then informing me few days later that they found a discrepancy in my first name. Told them that was already fixed back home as evident of me been to some countries and here in Canada. If the Philippine government back home honoured and approved my birth certificate, I don’t understand why they wont approve my application issues here? It’s actually not my loss but theirs, I can be fully devout Canadian citizen You are not helping your fellow Filipino comrades rather pain in the shoulder

Very clean and asthetically pleasing place. The staff were great and quite helpful for our time being there. There monitros promoting the beauty of Philippines which is a mix of ads and nature photos. The seats were comfortable and very modern looking. The walls are adorned with beatiful pieces of art focusing on somewhat historical notion and abstract thought. Theres also the photos of present and past presidency which is a great touch. There also a photo booth used for ids and such. All in all a great and neat place.

Awful awful awful experience. I was dreading this day but even more so when I came. The lady behind the counter was raising her voice at me and extremely classless. My personal information about being adopted is explained to the best of my knowledge and I’ve let her know that. Though, the 50 other people didn’t need to know about my personal life. Teach these people some people skills and communication because clearly there isn’t one between the client and the staff.

It was pretty quick, however they weren’t polite or nice at all. I was struggling myself for filling up the forms because I was quite uncertain with all the requirements and it was my first time renewing my passport without any guardians to guide me. I just hope they could change their attitude or quit their job especially if they’re not happy where they’re at.

Absolutely no respect for people's time! gives you a time to abide by but they are late to the process or the event. We went for oath taking and was told to come at 10:45am but we didnt start till 11:40! "Filipino time" seems to be the clock they follow. unprofessional for a consulate representing a country. As a filipino I am very ashamed of this facility.

Window 4 lady in-charge yesterday was a kind of grumpy & nonsense. She told us remember you are applying for a Philippines passport & crossed out the old passport number we filled out on a form that’s needed. Then told us (Seniors citizen from USA) come back after an hour. She then apologized when she realized she was wrong

  • Kay Teruel

Though the guy in window 1 was nice, there is no system in picture taking window. NO priority were given to small kids, my child fell asleep for waiting 3 hours and we had a hard time taking his photo as he was throwing tantrums already. It ended up as messy and frustrating on our end.

  • Zeus Kristoff Ortiz

The people here are friendly. The location is good kasi sa Waterfront lang. If you need photocopies, just proceed to the convenient store before heading upstairs.

  • Maria Tomelden

It was organized and the office has ample space for the people who have an appointment...

  • May Artuz

Everything went well. So fast and they are very accomodating.
