You've gotta get yourself here at some point, and if you can, during the spring. Only issue with the place is the Swans can be a bit horrible to the Geese, which I'm not a fan of. I'm also pretty sure I've done my part in training the crows to catch seeds and whatnot mid air. So take a bag down, get their attention and then throw them just in front of them, they will fly-catch them. The ducks kind of just hang around and don't cause any issue with everyone and thats really nice of them. Swans, Geese, Crows, Pigeons, Dogs, Ducks etc. all there and all friendly apart from the Geese, they can be a bit hissy at the best of times. Also one end of the pond collects all the bird waste but I'm no ecologist so I've no idea if that's a feature built into its design. Ice cream man also comes there sometime, which is nice.

I've only just moved out of Eastville but I'm already missing the park. If you want to clear your head, go for a stroll, have a heart-to-heart with someone with privacy, this is the park to go to. The top half of the park is quiet without feeling threatening. In the summer it's packed with wonderful people! The lake area has a good number of people walking, running, and sitting around the lake. I never got bored of it.

A very large park popular with runners, could do with a little restoration, the lake is very nice and attracts all kinds of wildlife, I once even saw an otter though mallards, geese and swans are more common. Lots of dog walkers. Unfortunately it's pretty close to where the M32 was built and it does cut through the park at the bottom. I wouldn't want to walk through it after dark but should be safe enough in the day.

A beautiful lake tucked away within the equally beautiful surroundings of Eastville Park. The lake hosts fishing within season whilst other areas set aside for wildlife conservation provide rich animal and plant life to naturalist and wildlife enthusiast alike. Well maintained footpaths allow for extensive access around the area with seating and picnic facilities throughout.

Great place for outdoor excercise in the middle of the city. You'd never guess the motorway junction is just a few yards away. Lots of wildlife on the lake (swans, cygnets, ducks, ducklings, terns, moorhens, herons). People also fish on the lake (occasionally). Highly recommended. Links with Eastville Park and on to snuff Mills.

Beautiful. There should be signs educating visitor's, to not throw bread into the lake where the mother birds are protecting their young. This only results in the aggressive seagulls to dive bomb to pick up the bread. There is a real risk that the hungry seagulls will take a chick if they get the chance

I love a walk round Eastville Park Lake. We walk down here from Stoke Park, 'cos I don't live in Easton no more ;-). It's a little piece of tranquility in the heart of the city. And the birds! Coots, moorhens, swans (mute), geese (Canadian), and a heron... ☺️

Most of the park is pretty grotty, but the area around the lake is very nice. It's also the start of the path that follows the river Frome all the way up to Frenchay which is well worth doing - it's odds on that you'll spot a kingfisher or two on the way.

Really nice place to come for walks with family and friends and your dog it's really quite and peaceful. There is a trail from eastville park to snuffmills and few other places me and my partner and son are having really nice walk about here

  • Sue Dunk

Quiet location, nice walks and good for taking your dog's for a walk. No car parking facilities here but there is public toilets. Nice scenic walk that leads into Snuff Mills and then onto Vassell Park.Relaxing. I would recommend this place.

Lots of wildlife in and around the lake. Swans and geese with cygnets and goslings in Spring. And look out for the heron that can be spotted on the island. A lovely place for a walk, run or cycle to feel like you are surrounded by nature

  • Jackie Kramer-Arden

Home away from home. Friendly faces of the bird and human variety. Come often, but don't leave your trash. In fact, I have a new practice of using an extra dog poop bag to pick up a few pieces of other people's litter.

Beautiful lake with a wide variety of wildlife. Quite often a Grey Heron can be spotted on and around the lake. Very worth a visit and it would be much nicer if everyone took their rubbish home...
