Decent green space near Bristol's centre which is good to see something different and get to smell fresh air. This place is really close to the river and to many restaurants and shops so it is located in a good spot. Apart from this, there was nothing new or unique to it, it has a status and a few places to sit but it isn't big and doesn'r have anything cool in particular but it is well maintained.
Playground
Not sure if there was as I did not see any signs
Restrooms
Not sure there was as no signs
Dog-friendliness
It is a dog friendly place
Picnic area
The best area for picnics would be to bring your blanket and sit on top of the grass

Lovely square to chill and enjoy the sun in, every now and then there is an event there which brings life to the place, other than that the atmosphere is quite pristine and very close to many restaurants, the harbour side, it is pretty much in the heart of Bristol as we'd like to say. Would like to recommend to anyone looking to enjoy a sometimes quiet location, for walks, dog walking, or just having a sit down on the bench and enjoying the Bristol breeze. Will visit again soon

Not so much a square, as a park with plenty of paths, and a place to put a classical equestrian bronze statue. Despite all the paths, which are fine gravel, it's mainly grass, with benches and litter bins. Trees are also available. Perfect for stopping off during a rally, eating a sandwich lunch, or going for a stroll. The paths are equally good for pedestrians or cyclists. Not so much a place as a gap between places, but a pleasant gap.

This is one of the most beautiful public parks in Bristol. The design of the squared garden is borded for the buildings fronts behind the trees, it's a visual spectacle! I come through it every time I can to connect my walking to the harbour side or the city center, and during the summer the music festivals have place here for having fun, eating and drinking.

Haven't been there for many years, so I was so impressed how clean and tidy it was. Also so peaceful to sit and eat lunch/ snacks. Also brings me back many, many years ago when buses, cars and bikes were allowed to travel through Queen Square, that has not stopped. I will make it my duty to go there more often.

What a brilliant park in the heart of Bristol! We had gorgeous weather on our visit and enjoy a good wander/walk-about, so we set out and serendipitously stumbled into Queen Square. Look at all this green space! Take a picnic, have a nap, play games, relax in the sunshine. A perfect respite from all the busy-ness of King Street or Stokes Croft.

Perfect area to sit and relax. Good parking, plenty of pubs/cafe's around to grab a drink or something to eat. There are lots of benches and a perfect combination of wide paths and grass. Various events happen here throughout the year here, it is a perfect "stage" as it is close to the centre and a quick walk into Broadmead for shopping.

In my opinion this is one of the nicest areas in Bristol. If its a hot day then its a great place to sit on the grass or just stroll through as it is surrounded on all sides by beautiful old buildings. Being so close to king street also means that you can go for a drink or food after spending some time here.

I love it but there was a festival there last week and not everybody had picked their rubbish up, it looked like, so went for a walk in nearby Victoria Park instead of "taking a pew"(figure of speech!) in Queen Square on that particular evening. Love the Georgian architecture of the buildings around there.

Lovely place for a weekend break away, we went for the first weekend break after lockdown and was a great spot. Lots to see and thousands of people about along the docks having a few drinks and food. The suspension bridge now far away from it and defo worth a trip to see the city.

Queens Square is a nice area in the centre of Bristol, it reflects the season's with mature trees and a grassy area in the middle. The buildings around the edge are an interesting mixture that gives a beautiful backdrop. It's an area of peace in the middle of Bristol

I came across the park and sat and chilled for a while. Very peaceful, lots of seats and well maintained grass areas for picnics, sport and paths for walking or jogging. Large trees for shade where needed. No cover if raining but you can't have it all.

Nice little square, plenty of benches, a cool statue and lots of green grass. Perfect spot for a picnic. But no amenities or toilets. Watch your young kids/ Toddlers as well as they can run under the border fencing onto the road (but adults won't fit)

As squares go, this one is rather lovely. It's large, covered in grass, a monument in the middle and surrounded by interesting architecture. To be fair, I've only been here to see something - the last time a Gromit, but I always like the square.

Cute little green-land in Bristol. It’s steeped in historic buildings which have mainly been converted into offices. Can be tricky to get to since changing Bristol into a one-way system. Parking is paid for, unless you have a permit.

  • Steven Illsley

The number of homeless people in Bristol in recent times really shows the effect of the cost of living crisis. A tent was pitched under a tree in Queen square park. Fair play, people need to get by but not massively impressed.

  • Adam Quinn

Great place to go in the summer and chill out. Play some frisbee or just watch the world go by. Historically a place where lots of protests took place 100s of years ago. It is also a perfect mathematical square FYI.

  • Darren

A very nice park to walk by, especially if you intend to visit M Shed, Arnolfini and WeAreCurious or Bristol Aquarium near the millennium square. This is because the park is just 5-minute walk from those places.

  • Kris Bee

Beautiful park area in the city with old buildings surrounding, really nice place to sit and watch the world go by or just have your lunchbreak. Events held here sometimes during summertime

  • Philip Chandler

Just had a lovely weekend break in Bristol, went to see Les Miserables on Saturday night brilliant. Sunday morning went for a walk around the area, sat in Queens Sq just people watching.

  • Clay Johnson

The real heart of the old city, this merchant quarter of Bristol, with its delightful green space, is the perfect spot for a picnic or a water break on your tour around the harbourside.

  • Sam

Nice open space with a pretty statue in the centre. Plenty of places to sit however could have used some additional flowerbeds or perhaps a water feature to make it more interesting.

  • Dan Taylor

Centrally located green space. A space to sit and day dream, meet friends, organise a game of volleyball, frisbee or pétanque. Or, just pass through on your way to somewhere else.

  • Liam Moore

Very chill place, The vibes are nice, Statue in the centre to break the ice. Grass a plenty, both floor and smoked, Appreciate history, let feelings be invoked.

  • Lisa Jones

Went in the evening. Full of homeless people drinking. As the pubs and clubs close it fills up with more drunks. Beautiful lighting. Lovely buildings.

  • Chris fituk

An Lovely place for spending time with your Kids for taking great photos around the place due to mix of alive colours that surround the place …

  • Rema Chitrakaran

What a place to chill out. Just loved spending hours together. The lush greenery was just magical. So refreshing. Cafes around add to the fun.

  • Hammad Parwaiz

Lovely park in the centre of Bristol. Lots of mature trees and plenty of benches to sit and relax. Always lots of different things going on

  • James Douglas

Queens Square. Near docks and Kings Street. Nice to sit in garden and read the paper or new book. Hosts music events and outdoor films.

  • Nicholas

Beautiful place to relax in the sunshine. A shame there was a few drunkers other than that a fine place to relax with friends.

  • Adhithyan Sundar

A calm and serene place to chill during any time of the day, with an ice cream! Loved watching people play volleyball …

  • Luciano Balbo Ferreira

Well square, very clean where people come to take bath sun (summer), walk their dogs and have some fun. Air activities only.

  • Alvin Lau

Nice place to park your car and take a rest in the Queen Square. You will always find a bird standing on the statue. :)

I worked near this square for just over a year and learned it’s the squarest square in all of Europe!

Interesting square - a perfect square surrounded by trees and buildings on the outside of the street

A fair sized lawn in the city centre, lined with impressive trees. A real sun trap in summer

  • Corvo Attano

Very normal British public square. Please don't visit it during the raining day.
