Poor experience and they're still making it excruciating. We came from Dubai and rented them in Bristol - never again. Firstly, the place looks like its run by a bunch of kids. Our 10-year-old daughter noticed that too. "Dad, they are behaving like teenagers with their Red Bulls". We should've sensed and turned around before. They tried to shove extra payments down our throat. Be careful if you ever choose to go with them to not pay them any extras they'll toss down to tap into your wallet. Secondly, we paid for emergency assist. But when we were stuck and called them - the guy who gave us their card (we'll save his name to not embarrass him as he called us afterwards to request not to leave a bad review in the feedback form we got from enterprise) was not accessible. Their call centre was absolutely pointless and kept moving us from one person to another. And no help came about. We found a solution with a local we found. This is in stark contrast to Arnold Clark & Van Rental who were prompt in all our other trips in the UK. Pity they aren't in Bristol. Thirdly, they are charging us for a parking violation we didn't commit at Bibury with ARDPark (another well known bunch of crooks based on all online reviews). Upon asking for proof, they remain unresponsive and tardy. They went ahead and charged our card too for their "admin fee" for the violation WITHOUT any proof we committed any violation. Because they had to charge, you see. Crooks. We paid the parking charges at the parking and there's no evidence to deny that. Seems like they'll do everything in their power to scratch at your wallet. I'm going to make sure no one from this country, and we spend money when we travel, ever comes close to these people, UNLESS they sort out the issue they're putting me and my wife through. And I'm going to escalate this to legal.

I don't understand the ratings for this company.. I used to think they were good but started seeing some of their local branches closing down so had to reach out and go to the city to rent a car. The customer service was appalling. I wanted to leave a review for the company as a whole as I spoke to even the head office in America who said they would send an email to their area manager to resolve my issue. I heard nothing for a very long time. The only saving grace of Cabot Circus was Rob who was so lovely and offered to email certain people in the company to resolve my issue. I didn't even get an email back to see if my issue was resolved from the head office which is precisely why I'm writing this review in the first place. I gave them the benefit of the doubt to follow up but I've heard absolutely nothing. I don't normally leave bad reviews but I'm sorry this really got me down. The lack of communication was saddening. Again I would like to thank Rob at the Cabot Circus branch for his warm and polite manner... I couldn't say that about some of the other colleagues at this branch who brushed my issue off. I've left with a very bitter taste in my mouth about this company sadly. I will make sure to take my money elsewhere in future.

A scratch scam! They claimed that the tyre sidewall had gouges and claimed me the tyre replacement. In fact there's scratches on the wheel already when I got the vehicle. I asked the staff and they said it's no problem. They also confirmed that those scratches were not made by me. I was pretty sure I didn't hit or scrape the kerb, or I could hear the sound or I felt it while driving. So where did the gouges come from? So if you really need to use their services, it is necessary to take pictures on the cars, especially the tyres, when you check the car and confirm. Don't give them any excuse to charge you! I feel cheated. Never use their service again. (Updated in 8 June) I made the complaint in early May. After a week I called the customer service again and they said the case was resolved. What?? I didn't received any reply for that but the case was automatically resolved??? The case was then escalated. Until now, I haven't received any reply. I called again yesterday and the Customer Service Representative said I need to wait for another 48 hours. They have no intention to solve your issue, even do not want to contact you. I'm sorry to say that it's a company that cheats people and then run away!

Worst possible service, if I could give zero stars I would. Here is a branch of a international business that puts customer service last for most people. From what I can see, unless you work for Airbus or Rolls Royce you don't stand a chance. Having had multiple hire cars for work from them over the last year I can confirm that this branch has employees that lie, dont pick up the phone, dont communicate what they are doing, leave you without a car, fob you off to another branch and feel that it is appropriate to collect car keys out of the blue after 10pm. The quality of the cars isnt great either, every car has had body work damage and they never provide paperwork to cover it. The last car I had was provided with an intermittent service light and a parking sensor fault, a last minute find following the failure to provide one at the allotted time. The car provided struggled to keep up with a Dacia Duster from 2018, I think it needed scrapping and replacing with a fleet of them as they would have been more fit for purpose. Currently my employer has told me to use Hertz instead of them.

Why accept and confirm the booking if you don’t have any cars available Was then informed that I would also need a credit card Offered me a refund didn’t care that my trip is ruined and will have to be cancelled or that they’ve cost me additional money Then told me I’d have to wait 5days for a refund Phoned customer services they said credit card required due to incidents in that area they tried to get another branch to help me but they couldn’t Spoke to customer services on live chat they gave yet another reason for needing a credit card and that the refund would take 10days I’ve spent 45 minutes trying to get a complaint raised Clearly you cannot trust a word they say in person or on there website Would never use this company again

I made a booking for a car at this place, and was called a week before my booking to confirm the car I was going to drive. Unfortunately, on the day itself, the team tried to be sly by giving me a smaller car than I had requested, saying that they do not have the car I had made a booking for, making light of the reservation I have made. I refused the booking as I would need a bigger car. I had to pay for my own taxi to go to another Enterprise branch to pick up the car I had originally booked, which was very expensive. Communication between their teams was poor and left me very stressed on the day of my booking. Unfortunately, I also was not the only isolated case on the day at this branch. Many customers served after me also had to settle with cars smaller than what they have originally booked because 'they do not have the car available', this is unacceptable.

I would highly recommend Enterprise Cabot Circus who provided brilliant, above and beyond service both when I picked up car and returned it. I unfortunately got a flat tyre on last day in Bristol. Luckily we were not too far from Enterprise Office and made it back. They were very understanding and helpful when returning car, helping us unload and transfer bags to another car. They even gave me a lift to the train station. The car was a new car and very easy to drive. They have a good selection and it’s worth not going to cheap car rental places as you won’t get the same level of service or quality cars. Would definitely recommend paying for the insurance and roadside assistance as this incident could have been a major hassle and very costly. Thank you to the whole team at the Cabot Circus office!

Can't fault the guys here in any way! They completely saved my bacon when my car was unexpectedly taken off the road for safety reasons and had a car ready for me to collect within the hour which was imperative for me to work as a community nurse. Collection and return was unbelievably speedy with all paperwork and transactions completed electronically whilst still on site. I've actually purchased a brand new car so won't be in the position to need to hire a car here in the UK but I will absolutely use Enterprise where possible whilst on a foreign holiday and also recommend to friends and family in need both here and abroad. Thank you guys, I really don't know what I'd have done without you!!

In my opinion, Enterprise are very efficient at getting money off you but not very efficient at hygiene or looking after customers. We hired a van for two days and the van smelt of sick. For first day we sat in the van for 6 hours with strong unbearable smell. Plus, the sofa which we were moving now stinks of vomit. We notified the team, but they were more worried about getting my money.... Never had such an experience with any other of the smaller van hire company’s so I will be avoiding the multinational companies in the future - especially Enterprise. Personally, I find the smaller firms offer a more honest and personal service than the bigger corporate ones.

Staff were perfectly fine but I was left without a car after making a booking and paying which is sort of the point of the whole thing and is pretty bloody upsetting. I wasn't given a car after my booking accepted and paid for. I was told it was because I didn't have an address in the UK and because I didn't have a credit card. Requiring a credit card even for a deposit is something that hasn't really existed in Europe since the early 2000s and is totally crazy when I had the money and I'm coming from Ireland. Will not use again. Sorry to perfectly nice staff but your policies appear to be from the movie wall Street and left me high and dry when I was in need.

I don't usually give bad reviews, but this takes the biscuit. Not only did we book our van 2 weeks in advance of moving, we were called at 17.15pm the evening before we were moving house to tell us they couldn't source the van we wanted ( we have since been told this isn't true and it's like bidding for a van so if more people want the van you want on the day they up the price and the highest bidder wins ) now we have been waiting for over 14 days to have our £145 returned which isn't ideal for a couple with a small child after they have moved house. Customer Service? there is none with Enterprise especially this branch don't use them ever.

Really great service from the team members. I accidentally booked a car for a month later than when I needed it. However when I turned up in the morning Rob went above and beyond to find a car for me to use as it was imperative for me to make my meetings that day. Rob was really polite and helpful and sorted it out for me without any stress! Also thank you to Adele for making the return process really quick and efficient. She was really friendly and approachable! Thanks again for helping me out when I got the booking wrong! Will certainly be back soon!

Responsive, great communication, friendly, professional & speedy service. Nick who was working / training at the Enterprise in Cabot Circus was great and ran through everything as best as he could. Such a nice guy and professional too - I booked my car from 15-25 June this year and promised to fill out the survey but it had expired. However, I felt the need to write this review and also thank Nick and his team for a great experience! I’ll definitely consider renting my car here again. The car was in very good condition and new model also!

I have to compliment the Enterprise staff as they were all very polite, professional and helpful (including the main / remote help desk). Especial thanks to Matthew (Brislington office), who came across as an extremely amiable young man. It was a real pleasure dealing with him both for the collection and return of vehicle. The only issue with the Brislington office is that there is very limited parking, but this didn't prove to be a problem for us as the staff were very quick to respond when we returned our vehicle.

It's also the only agency I found that had opening hours on Sundays! Only snag was getting the new guy to handle us on the day of the rental, which caused a small quid pro quo about pickup at the station. A small reminder that we're travelling with a toddler and new guy says he's checking with his colleagues, putting us on hold. He got back to us very quickly saying the pickup is still a go. Very empathetic and professional vibes (and everyone makes mistakes, especially the first few months at a new job! ;) )

I’m not sure how their system allows you to book a car when they don’t actually have one available at a given location, but apparently it happens “several times a week” according to the person I spoke with (after I went to pick up a car for my CONFIRMED reservation). You should NOT allow people to make reservations online if you don’t have the vehicles - it’s as simple as that. Also they never answer their phone - I spent 20 minutes trying to call in (during business hours) and the phone just kept ringing.

A big thanks to the team at Enterprise Cabot Circus, especially Melissa who was a great help at both pick up and drop off! I rented a Van for 1.5 days and it was the ideal vehicle for enabling my house move. It was easy to drive and in great condition. The drop up / pickup location was convenient to get to and drive to and from. Alex was also great at communicating ahead of time as to the status of my rental and informing of a small delay to the pick up due to a slightly later drop off.

One of the worst experiences I’ve had in my lifetime. Despite calling to confirm my reservation the day before, I was told there was no cars available when we came to pick up the car. And there is nothing they can do. Luckily SIXT had a car available and their process was seamless. It saved our holidays! The staff, including managers, are young and seem to lack proper training to handle the business. I can’t really blame them. But I will never use Enterprise again in the UK.

As a regular at the branch I always find this place to be a pleasure. Plenty of friendly, helpful staff ready and waiting to assist. It always seems that this place is full of smiles too as we often have a good joke with staff. Situated right near the bus station, and a short walk from the train station, not to mention right underneath Cabot circus car park, this place is perfect for car hire needs. Shout out to Jazmin, the new No.1 branch Manager.

It's funny to develop loyalty to a local car hire place. But I've rented cars from these guys several times in the past year (I live fairly close by) and have received consistently great service. Their prices are competitive, cars are good (and always clean), the pickup/dropoff service can be quite handy, and they're friendly and efficient. I haven't always had the same experience with other car hire companies!

I was left in a rubbish situation with my insurance/ lease team, but the service I have received from the Cabot Circus branch of Enterprise took the edge off with their outstanding service, in particular Ali and Jasmine. Great service! Lara and her co worker ( sorry can't remember her name) were so helpful and friendly. I had an issue during the journey back and they were both very reassuring and were able to advice me about what I needed do to rectify the situation. Would definitely use Enterprise again if I ever need to go out of town. Oh yes..the car was a great ride, smooth with no issues!! Thank you Lara and co!!

Received some fantastic service from Frank and Brad at this branch who went out of their way to make up for the terrible experience we had with the Barnstaple branch even though they had every right not to. I booked online a car with this company. Everything was fine. I received the confirmation of the booking. We arranged everything to have a great weekend. The day before they called me to cancel my booking because it was done with a debit card instead of a credit card. But it was done. But I received my confirmation. It doesnt matter, they ruined my weekend. Never again.

When they came to collect the car i had left some items on the front seat, my wallet and a leaving present from work (some alcohol and chocolate). When i came to collect the wallets thw other itwms had been stolen. Worst experience ever

I was asked to take a CarClub car instead of the one I booked with Enterprise a week ago - the CarClub car on Prospect Place was undriveable due to the stench of marijuana smoke and it had been left with an empty tank. Completely unacceptable - CarClub should not be used as a substitute for the hire service that has been paid for.

They 'forgot' to check if the air conditioning of the car was working or not. I spent one of the hottest weekends in the UK sweating in that car. When I told them about it, they seem surprised about it. Don't know why I doubt they didn't know because in the past when I hired other cars they checked it all over...not nice

Nick checked me in and was super helpful and even sorted out my Google maps connection from my phone to the car's screen console for faultless navigation. I can't remember the the name of the young guy who checked me back in but he was very pleasant and offered a ride to the train station. The Hyundai i10 went very well.

Max, 1 of their very rude employees expects customers to carry out maintenance to the vehicles themselves or call the AA. Advice is to stay clear of enterprise & all of their vehicles.

Poor. Cancelled my booking with less than 2 hours before due to be collected - leaving me completely messed about. The “manager” Brad fobbed me off telling me they have no cars at all available in the entire fleet. Do Not use - Europecar much better service and don’t mess you around.

They make a point of contacting you before you collect the vehicle. Pick up went smoothly. They were fast at drop off and even drove me to the station after I returned the car. Just wish Enterprise would let you pay for rentals with a prepaid credit card.

Snarky staff here. Shortie guy tried to challenge deposit claiming lies about a tyre on the rental. Luckily I had pictures and a video previous the rental to dispute him. Awful nasty staff in this branch.
