I’ve never had a worse customer experience in my life, and I travel weekly for work. Upon telling the GM, Nathan Lahey, that if he couldn’t, in good faith, try to make this experience better for me and my passengers he’d lose a customer for life, he told me “frankly, I don’t care.” I was a number, and that was very clear. In short, I was given a crossover instead of a full size SUV from my branch location. They told me to go to O’hare and they could swap me out for the appropriate vehicle—Inconvenient, but we needed what we rented so we could pick up my best buddy from his bachelor party and bring him and his golf clubs home. I called the number listed for the O’hare location and confirmed they had inventory before arriving. Upon arrival, I was told they didn’t have inventory, despite the thousands of ready vehicles in the garage around us. I was told they were all booked—even though I could go into the app and rent a full sized SUV from O’hare for pick up at the very moment. I was told I could return my current vehicle, pay a one way charge, and and start a new reservation, pay another one way charge home. Great option there. I was told I was dumb for thinking they did switch-outs, as if i am supposed to be knowledgeable about each Enterprise’s branch policy. And I was told the the representatives on the phone for Enterprise don’t know what they’re talking about… great. To me, everyone I speak to represents the customer. It’s not on me to distinguish who knows what they’re talking about. I was offered a pick up truck that we could put our soft luggage in the back of in the rain on the highway—another stellar option. Ultimately it was a waste of 3 hours of our trip diverting to go there. I was embarrassed in front of my friends. The bachelor had to buy a one way ticket to fly home because we could fit him or his clubs. Never again.

A year ago in Nov. 2022 we had rented a SUV from Enterprise at O'hare for 4-day vacation in Chicago, and our experience was awesome from pick-up to drop-off! For the same week this year we rented the same SUV from the same location but our check-in pickup experience was not that great. I made the reservation two months ago, and at Enterprise desk in O'hare airport we went through the same check in process as last year, but instead of giving us the key as they did last year we were asked to wait outside for another associate to take us to the car. I don't know if they were short of rentals or what, we were waiting outside in line with 5 others in Chicago Nov. cold, windy weather for over ten minutes, and the two associates tried to check in others in front of us who had all checked in already inside the office! When it's our turn, one of the associate asked us to check in and give him credit card again, because he can't find our payment from his tablet. After he cleared that up with the staff inside the office, we got our car. At the gate leaving the garage, we were stopped by the guard because he can't find our rental record in his computer or tablet, so we had to wait for another 10 min. for him to call and check with the office staff to let us go. This year's pickup experience is not very good, and the whole process seems bit chaotic. Last year we had really positive and impeccable experience with Enterprise! This year it could have been better, but our drop off experience was very good, it's quick and easy, just like last year! Thanks, Enterprise! I do believe that our not-so-positive pick-up experience this time is only an aberration, not the norm. I still recommend Enterprise because of its quality, service, and value.

Edit: Enterprise responded to this review and asked me to follow up by email. I would like to note that after the 1st incident in December, I did send them a detailed email (to the same email address provided below) about what had happened. They responded that they would follow up, but never did. I feel like Enterprise has gone way downhill this past year. They used to be by far the best rental car company out there. I had been consistently using them for around 10 years, but recently have had 2 incidents that were very upsetting and uncharacteristic of them. 1) This last December over the holidays, a manager at a location refused me a rental car. I had it reserved since July and needed it for 2 weeks to drive around visiting in-laws. He gave me a hard time from the moment I walked in and caused a fight with me. I assume they were overbooked due to the holidays, and this was his way of handling it. 2) This past week, I rented from an airport location. Pickup was great and very friendly. Drop off seemed ok, but then I received a bill 2 hours later that included a $50 charge for gas. I was furious, since I literally got gas before dropping off and the tank was full. The attended checked the car and all was fine. I called Enterprise when I got home, and the person on the phone was rude and could not care less. He said he credited me back, but I have yet to see the adjustment on my credit card. I rent cars a lot and have started booking with other agencies. I am sad Enterprise has changed so much.

I don’t know where to start about my experience with Enterprise on July 12th. Through the 16th. The only thing that went well was the initial pick up of the vehicle from O’hare airport. I rented a seven passenger van only to find out at the toll booth by a state trooper that the plates were expired. Well needless to say I went to swap out the vehicle along the way to my destination which was a big inconvenience, only to find out that there were no cars until the next day. I was given a Toyota Corolla, the manager Chris at enterprise at Buffalo Niagara airport was very rude and didn’t really want to swap out the vehicle. I was traveling with four adult men which is why I reserved a seven passenger van. Once again another inconvenience. I called the corporate office to complain about the issue and to be compensated for their error and the inconvenience. I was told my rental would be of no charge. I still have yet to see the charges reversed. I was lied to by the manager Luke at the enterprise in O’hare airport. He informed me that he would take care of it and I’m still waiting. I don’t understand what the issue is, this wasn’t my fault and I shouldn’t have to pay for it. What if I had gotten into an accident with the registration being expired!!

Enterprise has a policy hidden away in a dropdown menu on their website that says you can't use virtual credit cards like apple pay for rentals. You also can't use a debit card at an airport to rent a car. None of these policies are explained, at all, only that you can't do it. I spent 100+ dollars on 3 Lyft rides here. 1 to get to the airport, 1 after I got denied my rental and went home, and then another for my flight the next day (the reason I wanted to rent a car in the first place). When requesting reimbursement, I have been denied because also buried away on this site, it also says they "aren't obligated to pay" for denied virtual credit cards. This is a perfect example of a faceless corportation burying a policy online to screw over renters. What if I didn't have access to the internet prior to renting? Who even checks the FAQ for payment policies ahead of renting? How is any of this legal? Enterprise is fully aware of what they're doing here, and won't provide me any answers as to why specifically the Debit Card policy exists ONLY at airports, and not anywhere else. Therefore, they get 1-Star, and I'm going to contact the newspaper to get to the bottom of this.

After nothing but good experiences with Enterprise (and bad experiences with other rental companies) my husband and I always rent through Enterprise, even if it costs more. This was the first bad experience we had. Although I’d filled out everything beforehand so I could skip the counter and go straight to getting a car, it took over 20 minutes, including having to hunt employees down in a very hot parking garage, to get help. Not fun when you’re traveling with small children. And we were at the front of the line, so I feel worse for the people behind us! That was the big problem; a smaller thing was that the employee who eventually helped us tried to do a “hard sell”, which is about 50% of the reason why we DON’T use other companies. He wasn’t truthful about needing insurance (we always decline because our personal insurance covers rentals, which we know for a fact) and I’m pretty sure he wasn’t being honest when he claimed we should pay for the toll pass since the neighborhood we were staying in “had the second most toll roads in the city.” Once again, nowhere near the worst car rental experience I’ve had, but by far my worst with Enterprise.

Picking up my rental was a breeze. Staff was helpful. I even got upgraded to a minivan. I did have an issue at drop-off. We noticed some damage to the headlights when we picked up the van. The staff noted it and took pictures of it. I agreed to take it even though they offered me another car. I said no this will do. The van even with its damaged headlights workout fine. It was a cosmetic issue with the headlights. Nothing severe. The issue was that when I dropped it off. A worker who took the van in was accusing me to another worker suggesting I caused the headlight damage on the van. Instead of falsely accusing me he should've talked to me and ask me if I knew something about the damage. Or even look at the van notes prior to my rental. I took offense to that and his unprofessional demeanor . He didn't even apologize. I tossed the keys in the dash and he accused me of throwing them at him. The location has cameras all around . I suggest management look at it and talk to him for his unprofessional demeanor and character. I've been renting from Enterprise for over 12 years and never been so embarrassed in my life .

Terrible place I’ll never rent from this place I flew in from Arizona after already reserving a car days prior just to get and be turned away because I have an Illinois license and because of that they won’t accept a debit card and they knew this when I reserved it. Then they say I can but have to leave a 800 dollar deposit on top of money for car or have a return flight verification. When I reserved it I told them I was flying to Illinois to pick up a few items I left when I moved to Arizona. So I rented a car when I get to O’Hare airport and I was driving the car back to Arizona and dropping it at sky harbor airport. They knew this when I reserved it. Just to get to o’hare and them tell me no. My family was stranded at airport. Had to pay 150 for Uber to motel. Next day went to enterprise in Waukegan they immediately rented me a car and they were also disappointed with how I was treated. So thankful for Waukegan and Chandler Arizona branch very professional Ohare branch terrible service and unprofessional.

Typical car rental slowness. For some reason, you have to have a representative take you to your car. They seemed to have"no" cars in my size right there, and they tried to get me to upgrade. I said no, so he went to get a car from some other location. Most of the spots were empty; why wasn't someone bringing cars of the most commonly rented size to this area? So, in addition to waiting quite a while for a representative to show up (no one else was waiting and no one was getting a car at the moment), I had to wait for him to go get a car my size. The other important thing to note is that you have to take a dedicated train to the Transit building. The signage down in baggage claim that you have to do this is non-existent. I was really confused, and it took me a while to find someone I could ask. This is, of course, not the fault of Enterprise; however, they should work to get appropriate signage installed in the arrivals terminal. All in all, not my favorite car rental experience.

Nope never again. Understand I travel for a living, a rental car almost every week, a plane almost every week. I shop around. Emerald member with Enterprise. So I land in Chicago and my flight is delayed to the point of where the rental car agency will be closed at my final destination(Grand Rapids Mi) which was a 3 hour drive. So I modified my reservation and picked up the car in Ohare. Original rental was $220. Was charged $726 on top of the $220 for it not being round trip. $946 for 2 days and 200 miles. Never again will I use Enterprise. I expected $100 maybe $200 for the modification. Not $726. You lost a customer for life on that. I’ve had to modify reservations like this with Hertz, Avis etc. a couple hundred bucks I get and understand. I could have driven back to Chicago, taken a taxi to Grand Rapids and still saved money. Completely disgusted. Update, while the “owner” suggested I send an email to try and resolve the situation. I did and no response.

Renting the car is the easy part, returning the car was horrific. The ONE LANE road leading to the rental car center circular ONE LANE driveway is shared by EVERYONE: Avis, Budget, National, Hertz, Sixt, Alamo, Thrifty, Dollar, and Enterprise. If one rental car company doesn't have their act together, everyone is impacted. As this happened to us. One of the other companies on the second floor was short drivers/employees for Sunday and effected all the other rental car companies accessing the entrance since it was backed up all the way up the road. People were angry, yelling at each other for taking cuts in front of each other. This is a piss poor design to only have one entrance for all these car companies to the parking garage. If you rent from Enterprise, where the rental car return is on the third floor, I strongly encourage you to give yourself ample time to return the car. You never know what you might be up against when you arrive.

For the amount the car rental cost customer service should be better. I picked up a car from O’hare airport in Chicago got about 30 minutes away and the car starts shaking and check engine light goes on. I was close to another enterprise which refused to help said they didn’t have any cars and to go back where I came from to exchange it. I called they advised me could wait on roadside assistance which would be over an hour. I couldn’t because I had limited time to make it to the base to get the tickets to my son’s navy graduation. I slowly drive this car back to the airport (almost hour couldn’t go over 40). When I arrived I asked for the manager he said I can switch you out and shoved me off to someone else to help. The young man was nice but it wasn’t the point. He gave me a better car only because they were out of standard or small SUVs. Worst experience ever. Never experienced so much bad service!!

Setting up the reservation and getting the car was easy and went smooth. What I wasn’t happy with was the return. I mentioned to the gentleman at the desk BEFORE confirming how many days I needed the car and where I’d return it, I specifically told him I needed an EZPass and I wanted to prepay for fuel. He said no problem, the guy checking out the car for me would need to “scan the license plate” to activate the EZPass”. I also mentioned it to the guy who took me to the car and he said the same thing - “gotta scan the license plate to activate the pass”. Come to find out, not only was the pass not activated, he did not set up the prepay fuel service I specifically asked for. Fortunately the gentleman I returned the car to helped me out and ironed everything out. It’s a shame that I will need to hold up the line longer so that they can point out the services I requested to ensure they’re on the receipt.

Very pleasant experience, I always rent from enterprise, though this was the first time renting from the Ohare location. Pickup was at 7 am, the staff was very friendly for being that early and hot. Ran into a problem, they didn't have the car in the class that I reserved, the Full Size Elite class, promised an Audi A5 or infiniti Q50 or similar. They were cool and had patience while I looked around the lot for a different car. Another gentleman at enterprise ran to national and pulled up a Volvo S60 and an Audi A4, I took the Audi but it was a smaller class than I wanted, they still let me have the same price when I reserved the car which was cool, not sure if the smaller class would have been cheaper but the car was great, when I returned the car, the gentleman was friendly and even complemented my cowboy bebop shirt so that was cool, ld rent from here again

This review is specific to the O'Hare location: Overall, good experience and will rent again from Enterprise. The reason for the rating is due to the fact I was given a rental that required servicing. I had to return to the location to trade in the car after the check engine light came on during a trip. Despite the national call center assuring me it's service related and not a mechanical failure, I was uncomfortable driving it further (out of concerns of breakdown, damage to the vehicle, and subsequent liabilities). I never made it to my destination and essentially lost half a day. The exchange then resulted in some delay in the final return two days after. I would hope that existing protocols preclude vehicles requiring / nearing service be rented out to avoid such situations and that this was a one-off occurrence.

Superior service! I am reminded again why I always choose Enterprise for my rental needs. I thought I booked directly through Enterprise for my upcoming trip to Chicago but when I arrived, we found no reservation. Found out I booked thru a scam third party, Travelnuts! Although the ORD team had plenty of other customers arriving to pick up their vehicles, they took the time to help me sort out my situation, the wonderful manager was able to immediately assist to put me into another car, and they all did this with a smile! I was stressed coming to Chicago for a funeral and the entire team truly helped ease my nerves. When I returned the car, nothing but the same excellent service I received earlier. We need to know your secret, Enterprise, and share this level of customer service with other organizations. Thank you!

Rented a minivan for a week. Check in was problematic even though I checked in on the app, we had to go back inside and redo the entire reservation because of “computer issues”. The van was filthy when we got in and still had trash in the back seat from the previous renter. None of the charging ports worked. As we were driving to Ohio and using the onboard NAV there was a loud buzzing sound and the entire display screen went blank and started rebooting itself. Finally, we were driving home from a restaurant with family following us in their cars and they called us to tell us to turn on our lights. I responded that they were on. They told us we had no tail lights. This vehicle was not safe to be driven. I reported all of these things when we returned the van to the attendant.

I rented here for a work necessary vehicle for my week stay in Chicago. The staff was helpful but mentioned they almost gave up my rental because I didn’t show up in the morning as I was flying in, I felt it was somewhat unprofessional given the reason most people pick up vehicles it’s something I’ve never heard before and I’ve used this company frequently. The vehicle wasn’t clean upon receiving (vacuumed, washed and did have an odor..etc), it did have damage which was noted in the agreement at least. This vehicle served our needs well and do recommend it with the stow and go option. They were courteous in dropping me (within 1 mile) to the blue line so I could exit out of Chicago easily. Will be returning here for any rental needs should they arise. Thanks so much!

Last minute delay with my vehicle being serviced at a nearby dealership. The had no loaners and offered only to take me 67 miles home. I ended up having to pay for a rental car at my expense. Enterprise was very busy and had nothing available. The agents, especially Johntia "Bird" Birdsong. They had a return they weren't expecting. They got me going with that one. As I attempted to pull off, I noted it wreaked of cigarette smoke. They immediately assigned a gentleman to freshen it. It took about 10 minutes during which time "Bird" monitored the progress throughout the process. I felt as if I were a special customer. Then..... I noticed everyone there was receiving the same high level of service. On a scale of 1 thru 5, I give them a 212 They're that great.

  • Rachel Miller

I went to the Enterprise at Chicago ORD and it was a great experience. The staff that assisted me were very courteous and patient, even when it got busy. Multiple staff surfaced to help, making the pick up process go quickly and smoothly. When I did a walkthrough of the rental, the guy explained everything, even the optional features I could purchase, like the toll package and other insurance features. And the car was like super clean! I was impressed. Returning was pretty smooth as well. The car was looked over and I received my digital receipt before I even made it up to the airport transit to head to the terminal. Can't say I'm planning to return to Chicago anytime soon, but if I was, I'd visit Enterprise again.

We rented a midsize car at O'Hare and drove it to Peoria. I was in a rush and agreed to purchase a full tank. The drive to Peoria was way worse than I expected, so we decided to fly back from Peoria to Chicago at the end of our trip. We turned the car in at the Peoria airport. At most we had the car for 2 days, used about a quarter tank of gas, and yet the cost was over $400! We could have flown for way less than that! I understand that there is a fee for not returning the car to its origin and we bought the tank of gas. But still, $400 for just 2 days and maybe 150 miles. Give me a break.... Obviously not happy and we'll reconsider using Enterprise in the future.

  • Katie

Had my Enterprise rental for 10 days. It was busy when I picked up my vehicle, but they had multiple people helping customers get their cars. I don’t usually select a premium but it was birthday week and boy did I get a premium. I had a gorgeous Audi. Loved driving it. When I returned my rental, again there were multiple people helping customers with their returns. I was introduced to Robbie who was so nice and welcoming. He made the end of my week perfect! As he completed the paperwork efficiently and asked how my week was, it was nice to return a rental car to someone kind! I’m returning to O’Hare in 3 weeks, I will be renting with Enterprise again!!

  • Wayne

The personal checking me in were fine. Attentive, friendly and thorough. The person receiving the car was also very professional and friendly. They were concerned and apologetic about the problems when I pointed them out. The car was clean on the outside and appeared to be clean on the inside. It ran well and was what was expected for a Corolla. The reason for the 4 star rating was the extra key that slipped out from under the seat and was exposed on the floorboard overnight. (the break-ins in the city I live in make me a bit paranoid) I did a more in-depth look and found old food wrappers and a large piece of beef jerky?

  • Jeanette

Enterprise might be more expensive, but the service and availability of high quality vehicles is well worth the cost. Online pre check-in early is a godsend. I just navigated my way to the front desk, was greeted by anyone not with a customer, and immediately taken to a row of vehicles to choose from. The 2023 Nissan Altima I had chosen was clean and drove decently for the brand. Drop off was a breeze, as they inspected the vehicle while I unloaded my luggage and emailed me my receipt. As I walked to the terminal, all the employees had a smile on their face and wished me well. Awesome customer service team!

  • Dan Krueger

The details regarding my rental were fantastic from beginning to end. I was worried about getting my car in Chicago, with the train and all; however, everything went off without a hitch. Rich helped and made sure we were comfortable with the vehicle. He answered all our questions and left us with a good feeling about using Enterprise. It was a down pour when the car was due back and traffic was terrible. When I finally got to rental car facility, Ken was there to take care of everything. Answered my questions about Uber and where I needed to go. As stated earlier, the service and rental were fantastic.

  • Tim M

Have rented from here in the past and has always been good. This time was *excellent.* My ride couldn't make it, so I walked up to the counter at 7am after a red eye flight. Shelby helped me make a reservation on the spot. Got a better price than an out of town reservation I made and was on the road very quickly. Selection was good. Drop off was just as quick and easy, and everyone was quite friendly, knowledgeable and professional! Update: Return visit pre-booked for a 24 hour in and out. Easy pick up, easy drop off, and friendly service again. Good location!

I recently flew into O’Hare in Chicago and needed a rental car. Prior to my arrival, Enterprise reached out via email asking me to complete my online check in to include my credit card and driver license. This made the process a breeze. When I arrived at O’Hare, I caught the sky tram to enterprise where I was greeted by a nice man to get me into my car. The entire process took less than 5 minutes and I was off! My return went just as smoothly; I pulled into the garage where a man greeted me, checked my car in all while I was grabbing my bag. 5 star experience

  • Srinivas Chada

Worst enterprise location in the country. On sept 2nd I was first given a wrong car under a wrong name. When I tried to go our of the facility I was asked to go back to the office to get it changed. All this took close to 2 hours. But now I find that I was given a wrong contract too. I was supposed to be not billed for tolls but I see toll bills with a 25 dollar fines. billed to my credit card. Also when I first took the car I was told that fuel recharging was $4.30 cents but they charged me $6.25 cents. Bad management and this office is just cheating public.

  • Keith Hourston

I was given a vehicle with a bad battery that fortunately waited until the day after I returned from my road trip with my wife and grandchildren to stop working. Could you imagine being on the highway, and after one of stops for the little ones to use that bathroom, the rental vehicle not starting and being told by the roadside assistance tech that the battery is unsafe for further travel? I learned that Enterprise doesn't really inspect the vehicles, instead they will wash the vehicles after they're returned and simply rent them right back out. Not cool.

  • LovelyLady Shenita

Enterprise Ohara always has several options for vehicles that why I bypass other locations to come to this one. My full size SUV was roomy and spacious it did have a minor flaw which was notated prior to leaving the facility. My only complaint is week's later I'm still receiving toll citations that's automatically deducted from my credit card used to rent the truck despite having a toll pass for the vehicle. I've sent in verification that the tolls were paid but I haven't received any communication from them. Hopefully this is resolved quickly.

  • Norma Saldivar

Every aspect of the rental was excellent. The location may have driven the crazy amount of service, but I'm grateful for every individual and their amazing attitude and generosity. The vehicle at first was an issue as I had added on Sirius Radio. We had to look around as the scheduled vehicle didn't have it programmed. But we finally found a vehicle that not only had it installed, but that fit my required specifications. Was an excellent drive from the suburbs of Illinois to Door County in Wisconsin. I completely loved my experience. Thanks.

  • David Kirkpatrick

The enterprise employee greeted me with a smile in 10 degree weather in Chicago. He helped select a car knowing I needed a large screen to pair with my GPS. He upgraded my reservation so I could have this feature.(did not charge extra) Being faced with driving in a large city for a week was very, very stressful. His understanding of my concert, he paired my phone and the large screen was great. Sometimes, a customer needs more that just a car. His concern for me reduced my stress for an enjoyable week. Many thanks David

In Chicago for 2 quick days. Memorial service for a beloved cousin. Sis in from SLC, bro in from LA. We needed a car to get around town. Booked through Costco Travel and Enterprise did a fantastic job - super friendly team took us to the car, walked around to ensure no damage, explained the rental details, and wished us well at our celebration of life. Car was perfect and turned it in to another smiling and friendly team. No billing surprises and easy come and easy go. Glad we rented with Enterprise.

  • Sheri Lear

Enterprise isn't the most economical, but I'm always willing to pay a little extra for the customer service I receive. Their employees are consistently knowledgable and client centered. They go out of their way to make process as convenient and stress free as possible. When I rented at ODR a few weeks ago, the representative took extra time to walk me through the features of the car, which I appreciated. I've been an enterprise client for many years, and I haven't found a reason to go elsewhere.

  • Jessica Mortillaro

Picked up car Wednesday at O’Hare 8am, was at a Mazda dealership by 11. Multiple dashboard warnings and was instructed to leave car there for other inspections. Didn’t pick up the car until Friday morning since they were closed for Thanksgiving. I had to make other transportation accommodations. I was only reimbursed for a “half day” when I dropped the car off Friday. Seeing as I only had the car for 3 hours Wednesday and 8 hours on Friday, a “half day” reimbursement doesn’t seem satisfactory.

  • Sam Baker

We had a fine experience with the car - pickup and dropoff all good. The headache came with paying the Illinois tolls, which has dragged on for months. I took a picture of the license plate, created an account on the Illinois tolls website, checked it after the trip, no toll charges. Then months later we get emails and an extra fee for not paying the tolls. Why these guys can't just get an I-Pass on their vehicles and factor some tolls into the fees to avoid all this headache is beyond me.

  • Jenn Abreu-Hart

I have always liked renting from Enterprise but on this last trip the agent told me gas was 4.62 and outside it could be higher. I opted to take the gas option and not worry about it. When we got our bill gas was 6.09 an extra almost 50 bucks for half tank for a car. I saw gas as low as 3.22 around the area. I felt misguided, although I never confirmed it when I signed (my fault) I expected the representative to tell the truth and not hustle me. Outside of that, everything was fine.

  • Colleen Kelly

Enterprise has the best customer service, and though they might not always be the least expensive, it is worth it to rent with Enterprise because of their commitment to customer service. Needed a Premium SUV for a college football weekend, and they were ready for us even though our flight was canceled and our pick up was "after hours". You can always speak with someone at Enterprise. They are friendly, helpful and appear to be happy to be working there.. I love Enterprise.

  • Angelique Floyd

My family and I flew into O’Hare and our rental experience was great! There was no line and the agent, Domick, got us in and out in no time. He suggested a larger vehicle based on my family’s bags and car seat and I was glad that he did. We had no issues with our rental. We were greeted by a gentlemen whose name began with an A and he made sure our return process was seamless. Great experience from start to finish and I’ll continue to rent from Enterprise.

  • Konstantin Khmelevsky

Overall experience was good thanks to courteous staff. The rented vehicle was brand new. However, disappointing and really annoying was the company’s policy to charge for a child’s seat booster which in totality was actually more than a similar booster would cost to buy! This is felt like real reap off and spoiled overall experience! The company should offer such amenities at fair price to their customers and not seek to take advantage of the situation!

Enterprise Car Rental is by far the most professional car rental agency in the United States!!! I am an avid traveler for business and pleasure, have partnered with many different rental car companies and what sets Enterprise apart is their true kindness and professionalism and it is very much appreciated. The employee at their O'hare location went over and beyond to ensure I was satisfied with the vehicle I rented. Thank you Enterprise O'hare!!!

  • Sierra Cashion

Everything went great with our rental, but by far the biggest reason for our review is that the Chicago-O’Hare team managed to make a 4:00am rental drop off a really pleasant experience. That is so early to be expected to be awake and functional, let alone be in a customer-facing job. The staff were fast, helpful, and kind, and really put us in a good mood. I’m bad at names but if you worked the early morning if 10/2 you’re the best

Car was nice for me and my family. Everything was so darn easy. pick up and return were easy and its usually chaos at an airport. Made Navy Bootcamp graduation for my son on time and in style. A bit pricy but I hardly waiting for anything (pickup or return) and you get what you pay for. Also, I was able to extend a day with no hassle, just logged into my account and changed return day. Thanks Enterprise. Making memories!!!

  • Katie Leonard

I always have a good experience with Enterprise, and the ORD location was no different. I didn’t have a reservation after a long and frustrating day of travel, but they took care of me and got me a car within 5 minutes. I appreciated it very much. The customer service was excellent. I wish I remembered the name of the man who helped me because he deserves a shout out! Thank you Enterprise for always being reliable.

  • Christine Szafraniec

The Enterprise staff is exceptionally well trained. From the initial contact when checking in to returning the vehicle, all details were covered in friendly and professional manner. Upon returning the vehicle, the gentleman who handled the return, Gabriel, made the experience stress free. His smile and friendly demeanor made us feel valued. The online experience from reserving the vehicle to return was efficient.

  • Cindy Pak

Zach from O'Hare Enterprise was very friendly, informative and helpful with the car rental process. He greeted us, explained the rental and also helped us with the return. The rental and return were extremely easy. I will definitely use Enterprise again. I do wish the Enterprise in Wheeling had extended hours on Saturday and Sunday. It was a little bit inconvenient to go to O'Hare for pick up and return.

  • Yaseen Terblanche

I rent a vehicle every month when traveling for work. It's always a wonderful experience renting from Enterprise Rent-A-Car. The staff is always friendly and professional. The pick up and drop off process is efficient and I'm always done within a couple of minutes. The vehicle is always clean and I have never had any rental vehicle break down. It's always a pleasure renting from Enterprise Rent -A- Car.

  • Mark Rogers

They did not have the size vehicle I reserved (6 adults, baggage, etc.). The found a larger one, without charging me for the upgrade. The car did leak however. They asked was there anything they could do to make up for it. I said I had forgotten to get gas for the vehicle and they promptly said it was on them. They went above and beyond to make sure the customer was happy. Nice Job Enterprise!

  • Denise Stokes

Great car but service needs more improvements when I made my rental I expected to get it and go it turned out that they did not have the car asked for so I had to wait around so they could decide which car to give me the car they gave me was an upgrade but I should’ve been notified that they did not have the car on the lot. I made my reservation in plenty of time for them to do that

  • Katie Myer

Great customer service! My car had trouble starting, so I called roadside assistance and drove to the nearest Enterprise, which was about 1 miles away. As I drove, the roadside assistance people reserved me a new vehicle at that location. I arrived, they looked me up in their system and hustled to get me out the door. It took about 10 minutes and I was on my way. Much appreciated!

  • Carmen Silver

I'm always pleased with your customer service, although I was slightly disappointed that I rented a midsized vehicle and I was shown a extremely small Mazda that could not hold our luggage much less 3 people seated comfortably then charge me an up charge to accommodate my family. I expected something the size of a Tucson at least to meet my needs. Other than that service was good.

  • Rachel Sigritz

I traveled to Illinois for the first time with my son and was greeted by one of the funniest and best customer service guy EVER. His name is Martin and WOW he definitely needs to have a raise. I have never had such great customer service from any Enterprise representative before. He helped us out, told us where to go and cant wait to visit Illinois again and rent from Enterprise.

  • Jessica Hopkins

Super easy process from start to finish. I did request a small SUV when I made my reservation, however due to them having a very high number of reservations, there were none available when I arrived. I had the option of a truck, minivan or a mustang. I settled for the van and it was fine, just more car than I needed for 1-2 people. No issues with the car, easy return process.

  • Brian Schroeder

I easily booked my rental car on the app and the process was smooth during pick up and drop off. I was in and out with convenience. My only complaint would be the price for a compact is more than I think it should be and all the fees that get tacked on are ridiculous but I know the latter is not the fault of Enterprise so that’s why I kept a five star rating here.

  • Susan Kupitz

My first time renting a car with Enterprise, actually my first time renting a car! It was a great experience overall. I got their app and it made things even easier. Price was good, inline with other companies. Friendly helpful employees at ORD, a freshly cleaned car inside and out, no waiting anywhere made it a breeze. I’ll definitely use Enterprise again.

  • Kristina Hesbol

The Oswald Rd. office of Enterprise in Glasgow is excellent! Ben provided great service for us at the counter as we returned our vehicle, and drove us back to our apartment, as well. Ben is an example of high-level customer service, and staff like him keep us returning to this office when we have rental car needs in Glasgow. Thank you all for your support!

  • Jonathan Moore

The associates at the O'Hare Airport have always been excellent with me. I'm greeted with a pleasant greeting; they assist without "attitude" when I'm confused or there has been a mix up. They are quickly responsive without being pushy when I return and when I pickup. Knowing I'm going to get a great experience wants me to fly into O'Hare more often.

  • Party2 theppl

I've been using enterprise for my rental service well over 12 years, I have noticed a decline in customer service, also with the cleanliness of the vehicles, and also with points that you earn for your daily rentals. I noticed it's hard to get in contact with a site agent when it comes to rewrites. The company has taken a major decline in all aspect.

  • William Brubaker

Needed a rental for a two week trip to Chicago area. Enterprise had the best prices and were so awesome to work with on pick up and drop off. Car selection was good and it was very clean. Thank you. Also when flight arrived the desk wasn't open but random worker told us that national could help so we wouldn't have to wait a half hour. Great service

  • Doreen Bunt

I am giving Enterprise 5 Stars! We just flew in from out of town. We walked past all the other car rentals that had long lines. I bet they had at least an hour wait. Then, we went approached Enterprise and they had 5 people with their hand computers ready to greet us! Benji met us with a smile and had us on our way in 5 minutes!!! I am amazed!

  • Dennis Ashley

At O’Hara, we were on time, there was no car in our requested type available. We were offered a mini van or large pick up but could wait 20 minutes for a small chev. It was tiny, hard to get into but great gas mileage. Getting from airport to enterprise was easy. So was the return . It’s very easy to arrange, check out the car and return it.

  • Kaya Leach

Wow... I was scammed by Enterprise. Had a rental agreement for 12 days at an estimated $918 total charge. My flight was cancelled so I dropped the car off the next morning; Rec'd final bill via email for $4,893. I've called 3 times to contest the charge and they won't call me back and won't credit my account. Scam Artists. AVOID ENTERPRISE.

  • Fahim Firoz

Got a parking ticket and these guys held on to it until I was no longer able to dispute the ticket. Then they notified me by email, left me having to pay the full price of the ticket without possibility of disputing, and charged me another $25 fee on top of the ticket price for God knows what. Last Enterprise/Alamo/National rental for me

  • Bruce Larson

As we were getting ready to leave for our trip, the girl that was checking us out was incredibly friendly and helpful. She got us all set up with our phone and GPS after trying several different cords, she made sure we understood where we were going and helped us feel comfortable in new surroundings. Great job and thank you!

  • Jamon Abercrombie

I have rented from various companies over the years, and Enterprise is by far, hands down the best! At any location -- when consistency and quality matter -- the experience, the service, the professionalism, the easiness of reserving, picking up and dropping off is why Enterprise has become my no-brainer first choice!

  • Erik Jochums

Checked in online, skipped the counter. A small wait outside, but within a few minutes we were escorted to our vehicle to inspect and sign off. Drop off was just as easy: park in the designated area, leave the keys in the car, and walk away. got the bill via email, super easy and very quick. Would highly recommend!

  • Liang Cui

It’s easy to rent a car from Enterprise. There is no hassle when I rent a car from Enterprise. The car I rented was Toyota Camery XSE. The car has great fuel economy and has plenty power too. It was very clean and it was a new vehicle (only had 2k miles). Overall I enjoy the experience of Enterprise rental car.

  • Eliot Murphy

It was very easy and I have 0 complaints. Showed up at o’hare and picked up the car with a short process and loaded 6 people in the car. On the way back we were short on time and dreading the drop off process, but it was quick and painless. It was a well oiled machine with friendly people and we felt welcomed.

  • Cameron Gamble

Recently rented from O’Hare airport, the process was incredibly smooth. Justin assisted me with the rental and after brief chat, grabbed me the exact car I wanted. Upon return I was assisted by Matthew who made sure I had all of my belongings and wished me safe travels. 10/10 experience, will be back for sure.

  • Authenia Treece

I always have a good experience with Enterprise. As a Field Manager, car rentals are a large part of my weekly travel plans. Experiencing issues with flights and hotels sometimes, my car rental is the one thing I DO NOT have to worry about. I am grateful for that and will remain a loyal Enterprise customer!

  • santosh joshi

Enterprise service is always one of the best. Good Service, Executives are polite, Cars are in good condition, they provide all the input / instructions that are needed. Only for this time, I got a car that had backrest issue in size. So next time onwards, I will request them not to assign such car to me.

  • Monique F.

My experience at O'Hare this past weekend was great. I was in and out with no problem. I checked in through the app, when I arrived I was immediately brought out to pick the vehicle I wanted, then i was on my way in less than 10 min. Checking the car back in was just as quick and easy as picking it up.

  • Alicia Minnick

Great job again, Enterprise! Our flight was cancelled last minute and there was no issue rebooking a new rental three days later. Check-in was super quick and your employees are always very nice! Rental return was very quick as well. I appreciate that Enterprise is always reliable anywhere we travel!

  • Dennis Palmer

Very happy with service but car had 60K miles on it. I've been using Turo more because when I rent from them I know exactly what car I am getting: make, model, mileage, safety features, android auto, etc. When I rent from major rental companies I never know what car it will be with what features.

  • Joseph Bellone

The car itself was very clean and as promised in the reservation. However, the line to pick up the car at the O'Hara car rental facility was an hour long. After that, you again wait in another line where an attendant either brings the car to you or brings you to your car. Extremely lo g process.

  • Kevin

Renting a car has never been easier. All employees I dealt with when picking up and returning car were beyond friendly and professional. It was a pleasure to rent from enterprise and I definitely will use enterprise again in the future as well as recommend them to friends and family. A+ service

  • Rich KR

This branch at the airport can be considered all-professional. Mr. Damian, who from everywhere gave me all the help with his professional approach to the client. I was so impressed with it that I am still amazed to this day. I wish this was how the client was handled in every Enterprise agency.

  • Maria Trujillo

Had a difficult time finding the pick up service desk but follow the overhead signage. You have to get on the airport train to the part of the airport in which the car rental agency's are located. But free of charge. In and out of the airport less than 45 minutes from our landing. Quick service

  • Tony Miksa

Enterprise continues to provide great customer service and good cars to rent. I had to make a change on this trip and they were very responsive. Checking in and Checking out the car was quick and smooth at O'Hare. The people at the counter as well as the check-in attendants were fabulous!!!!!

  • Darina Miteva

Thrilled to drive the brand new Range Rover Defender thanks to Chicago Enterprise! Originally booked a Chrysler 300 for a wedding, but when I spotted the Defender, the sales rep graciously upgraded my reservation, making my day even more special. Exceptional service and a memorable ride!

  • Julian Muller

Very rude staff and manager when I returned the car a bit late due to a 6hr+ flight delay. They were very condescending and did not care about my situation. Usually I love renting from Enterprise, but these staff members were not at all up to the standard I am used to from this company.

  • Marc Schneider

Rented from Enterprise at O'Hare Airport (ORD). Took the shuttle train from terminal to the rental facility on Zemke Rd. Check-in to get the car was seamless and quick. Car was clean with a full tank. Return was even quicker and again - seamless. I always use Enterprise when possible.

  • crystal ware

As always, our experience with Enterprise was top notch. No long lines, reliable car with no issues, good price. What made the experience even better was Richie Rich! He was amazing! He had the best personality EVER! Definitely will be using Enterprise for our car rental needs!

  • Berenis Ramirez

We recently traveled to Chicago and needed a car rental. The enterprise representative went above and beyond to help us with our rental. I really appreciate her patience. The price was good and they accommodated us in returning our rental earlier and the drop off was so easy.

  • Hilda G

After an hour wait for our luggage due to a hockey tournament with several teams. went to pick up the car and checked in online even though there was a long line by checking in on line the wait wasn’t bad. They were very efficient in getting us to our vehicle and an our way.

  • Adam S

I’ll never rent with anyone else again. I’ve used Hertz and Budget in the past and they’re nowhere near being on the same level as Enterprise. Trust me, it’s worth paying a little more. Cheyenne was super friendly and professional in helping us get our car and be on our way.

  • JEVORAH 7

Great Service! I did everything through the App so all I needed to do when I got there was pick the car of my liking. The car was clean with a full tank of gas. They had many options and I was very pleased with the young lady that helped me. Definitely will be returning.

  • Gary Weerts

The service at the pick up location was great. Drop off was a bit of a challenge because after we found the location, it was a little difficult to drive the SUV through a very narrow slot between two lines of cars. The clearance was a couple of inches on either side.

  • Janine Bailey

The personnel at O’Hare Airport went above and beyond the call of duty. They were professional and very courteous and was able to upgrade my vehicle at no extra charge. The pickup and return of the vehicle was smooth and I will make sure to rent from you again …

  • Sheldon Young

Didn’t get the car type I had reserved. Toll process is a rip off - I just wanted tools charged back or to have a transponder in the car. They charged me $12 a day “just for the convenience” for tolls that were probably $2. This is ridiculous and a bad practice.

  • Lacey Goodrich

The SUV was wonderful, clean, and exactly what we needed. The price ended up being quite a bit more then originally anticaped but I would pay it again because the features that I received were wonderful and made renting a car the easiest part of my trip …

  • Tonda Cockrell

We checked in on our phone and then picked up the one-way rental at O’Hare airport. The pickup time was very quick and efficient. Simple to drop off at Purdue Airport with after hours drop off service. Excellent solution for us to get home from Chicago!

  • Richard Scarbrough

We always rent with Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Their employees are always professional, courteous, upbeat, pleasant, and timely. We appreciate Chris, and Richie Rich on our most recent rental. We will be renting from Enterprise again soon on our next trip!

  • Cynthia Sakata

We recently rented a vehicle from the Enterprise O'Hare Int'l Airport location. The pickup was smooth; the vehicle was perfect for our needs; and the return was quick and efficient. Thanks for participating in making our visit to Chicago so enjoyable.

  • Thomas Murphy

Terrific service - Dan took outstanding care of me to get my vehicle, providing extra help to get Navigation system working and how to drop off. Remy was awesome checking my car in and getting me to my flight. I will only rent with enterprise.

  • Emmanuel Flores

Employees were friendly. However the wrong credit card was charged. It’s a long story to explain the details. But nevertheless, they charged a credit card of mine without my written or verbal consent. Not only is this poor customer service,

  • Siya Miles

Decided to drive the 2 hours and 45 mins from O'Hare to Appleton, Wisconsin after a 5 hour layover got delayed while I was traveling from California to Wisconsin for work. Walked from terminal and used the tram to eventually stand in a long

  • Karim Lynn

Great service by enterprise team when in the facility. 2 things keep this from 5 star experience: advance check in not offered (other facilities offer this and O’Hare facility should too) and the mid-sized suv was worn and not comfortable.

  • big red allen

Great place to drop off rental car easy accessible entrance well organized ,friendly staff well educated in there job ..also a very easy entrance to get to your terminal for the airport. I highly recommend using this rental drop off for

  • Kaan K.

Worst customer service. I have never encountered such a problem before. As I picked up the car , everything was great and I intentionally put on the full adress of my employer (which is in Turkey) in the lady's ipad, to be put onto the
