Pretty nice university tbh Griffith University is a public research university in South East Queensland on the east coast of Australia. Founded in 1971,[2] Griffith was opened in 1975, introducing Australia's first degrees in environmental science and Asian Studies. The university has five campuses in Gold Coast, Nathan, Logan, South Bank, and Mt Gravatt regions. The university was named after Sir Samuel Walker Griffith, who was twice Premier of Queensland and the first Chief Justice of the High Court of Australia. Sir Samuel Griffith played a major role in the Federation of Australia and was the principal author of the Australian constitution. One of Australia's top universities and is ranked in the top 2% of universities worldwide. The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and research programs across a range of disciplines, including business, law, science, health, education, engineering, and the arts. History of Griffith University is truly outstanding l.

While I enjoyed completing my undergraduate degree here a decade ago, I found a few disturbing things when I returned to campus get a copy of my degree today. First, the stench of youthful optimism permeates the whole campus. I nearly choked. Second, the hour long wait at student services was enraging, but I do appreciate the university giving students a taste of the bureaucratic struggles they’ll face upon graduation and entry into the corporate world. Third, the parking situation was dire, which was disappointing considering Nathan Campus is located in the middle of a literal jungle. All in all, I’d probably go here again but only if I was still high enough on idealism to not be bothered by the fact that universities truly are big businesses operating under the thinly veiled facade of academia.

Terrible service, very short lazy late replies by the staff even if you are asking for something urgently, such as starting a new semester. They will most likely reply to your questions quickly only when money is involved in it (payment due). You are not seen or treated by them as students, as you are just another source of income to them. As an international student, I headed back to Australia, promised that I'd be able to do this one course I've paid for only to find out after 1 day of doing the course that it would be cancelled due to lack of students. Was there any compensation? No. Did they inform anything about this to me before heading back? No. Do they only prioritize their own financial gain? Yes.

Griffith University has the most disgusting assessment marking standard. Unfair, unlawful and never consistent with the correct standard. More importantly, they never acknowledge and correct their mistakes no matter how obvious they are. They only care about their so-called ‘face’ and you are no more than a dollar sign to them. However, if this University can’t face their mistakes or even refuse to admit they have any mistakes at all, then this University has no faces whatsoever. Till they at least admit and correct their mistakes of their assessment marking standard, spend your valuable money and time elsewhere.

I studied at this campus between 1999 and 2001 and loved every day of it. The multimedia course was very much hands-on experience with lots of practical work. The university provides great support for immigrants including academic English and mentorship programmes. Financial support is there too. I won both a scolarship and a grant for work in neuro-controlled interactive technology using electroencephalograms. The campus itself is green and leafy and is a great lace to take a walk. Be careful when you walk at night though... it gets a little scary in the dark bushes.

Don’t play for the competitive sports teams at Griffith. They go against their values of inclusiveness and team work. They make you pay a ridiculous amount of money to play and after a horrible experience with players on my team not allowing me to play and physically telling me “we will lose if you play” to result in them watching me while I cry off the court. They refused to compensate in any way even though I was literally physically unable to play. And when emailing them about the situation they couldn’t even say we are sorry that this had occurred.

I’ve always wondered, why do students who pay 10s of thousands of dollars to study at this university have to pay for a parking spot? So greedy and disgraceful! Not only it’s in Nathan campus but also at Griffith college, they have a parking area that is downhill and it can take more than 80+ cars but yet students still have to pay for a parking, and by the way students pay the same amount as the person who isn’t actually a student. I wish I could give a lower rating than this.

Absolutely amazing campus with so many great and amazing people, places, buildings, facilities, all kinds of things and infrastructure to provide any student with the most awesome experience ever and to successfully finish their degrees and obtain success, wealth, happiness and advancement. Griffith University's Nathan Campus is truly an amazing place to do extraordinary things and to achieve great success! Everyone should go there and become a student!!!!!!

The experience at Griffith was amazing for the first 3 years. The academic staff were very helpful and the university had a lot of support mechanisms. However, this year they have been stepping back with the trimester with little consultation or feedback from students to begin with. Been a final year student trimester made my final year a total nightmare with all the deadlines falling on to the same week and having insufficient breaks in the final sem.

Totally disappointed, after graduation from ICT, I applied for some academic jobs and found that getting academic job (especially at Griffith) needs more connection than qualification/experience. You can look around and find some academics bring their relatives and friends to be lecturer even in that time they didn't have PhD. I'm totally happy that I joined industry and I have 100 opportunities now.

I'm not a student but I did work there and found parts to be run down and not very inviting.and the the paying for parking for students after they have paid course fees is a rip off. And the militant parking inspectors fine you for anything, not parking square my ute is long and I got a fine for taking up two spaces a friend got a fine before he made it to the pay point.

It's a good university but in comparison to other university campuses, Nathan campus unfortunately does not have variety of cafes or food courts.. it also does not have a small supermarket like a 7eleven or EazyMart.. And the UniBar is pretty basic. The staff are nice, there are enough parking lots for everyone pretty much.

It’s a good university for every international student. We as a international student expects majorly in terms of network, quality education , teaching and employment opportunities especially, University is providing this opportunities for us its lucky to be part of Griffith university.

Loved Griffith Uni! The staff were always helpful and treated you like a real person not just a number like at some larger universities. The surroundings were natural, peaceful and well-maintained and the facilities were excellent. Hope to do my postgrad studies there too!

  • goldcakes

Brilliant spacious campus. The staff are really friendly and helpful in building your knowledge and abilities in the course. The range of available technology and applications are great, especially since you can use them for both your course and personal use.

This is a nightmare of a university to deal with through Open University! They delight in saying 'computer says no' every time. I would not recommend studying any units through them, save yourself the trouble and try another university like

Not sure what Deepika Bhatt is on about when she says you can get a great job after completing your studies from here because there are many of us who graduated from this University but the Uni never called us for any job interview. So on

Very disorganised, something that stood out was nobody wants to help you when needed - staff just pass you around like a problem. I don't appreciate that. The Online Griffith Student Portal is always buggy and poorly developed, leading to

It’s great to be surrounded by nature. Nathan Fitness Centre is amazing and adequate. Not much support for online classes, especially for busy students trying to juggle work-life balance. Parking spaces are tight and only free after 7pm.

  • MissWooHoo11

They are bias towards the Asian students on exchange. They pay a lot to go there so of course they up their grades to attract more of them. I also have an intellectual disability, only recently after 3 yrs did griffith actually start to

  • Don Spinosa

I was studying a degree at the university and had nothing but problems with the tutors and the senior Griffith officers when making complaints about them. The teachings were terrible and the complaints resolution process is a total sham

The only two issues I have is the unfair testing in the linguistic department pacifically with the oral speaking exams, one of my teachers lost the wifi connection with me during the exam and I was marked down for that, honestly if you

I am so disappointed with the dental clinic there, not even after 2 minutes of my tooth extraction i was made to go to the receptionist with a mouth of blood unable to speak right after surgery, and they told me i could clean up in the

Griffith is one of the renowned university worldwide. It offers more than 300 degrees in their university almost in every field. Excellent mentors and teaching method. Students will definitely get a best career after studying from here.

After studying at USQ and QUT, I have to say Griffith is my favourite. With the groups available, restaurants on campus, and lecturers who excelled, and continue to excel, in their fields, Griffith provides a superior educational

  • Grant LD

The expense of university offers poor value for money. 12 lectures per course (other more prestigious universities have better lecturers and offer the lectures free online) and marking of lab reports and tests.

Griffith is a great place to study, Nathan is my main campus and apart from the hills it's a great environment to work and study in. You'll be hard pressed to find another university so close to nature.

  • Ben F

Amazing campus tucked away in Toohey forest. Lots of wildlife around if that's your thing. Plenty of accessible facilities (with more coming now that everything is opening again) and wonderful staff.

  • Rachel Timms Stewart

Nathan Campus is set deep into bushland. The building numbers are confusing but an absolutely fantastic university and campus. The teaching staff are phenomenal from what I have experienced so far.

  • Jessica Urquhart

I went to uni here a very long time ago. It's a massive campus. The co-op is fantastic. You can use computers here 24/7. The campus is in a very hilly area so it's great exercise walking around.

  • Sarah Roa

Best is all I can say, currently enrolled here and love the student wellbeing and counseling services. They know how to look after their students and ensure everyone is take care of.

  • Chidubem Mba

I like my University. As an Alumni, it was a pleasure experience to visit the campus and view it. Griffith Is remarkable for maintaining it's bushland environment in Nathan, Brisbane

Uni in the reserve.. spotted koalas during lunch break. What a conducive environment. Evidence of how human and nature can co-exist. Well preserved!!

  • Ethan Bowen

The Nathan campus very accessible for people who may need elevators to travel. However, I wish that there were more 24/7 labs.

  • Strogo Strogo

Absolutely beautiful, excellent location, amazing nature, fantastic parking, cafes, staff and the University altogether!!!
