So I was very nervous having to call a locksmith to my home to help me fix a problem my vehicle was having with my chipped key not working in my ignition. The reason I was so nervous was that I knew I either needed a new key or I needed a new ignition with a new key and the price difference was hundreds of dollars. So I randomly chose this company due to it being so close to where I lived is all. I talked to the owner briefly on the phone on what I had and what the issue was and he immediately knew what I was going to need which was exactly what I already knew. So he was literally in my parking lot within 15-20 minutes and he had a key that wasn't chipped made about 10 minutes later. He informed me that if this key opened my doors then it would more then likely turn my ignition as well and he was right on both counts and he never even attempted to sell me a rebuilt ignition which he could've at least tried to make more money. He was very honest and I was 100% impressed with how I was treated. It just seems like nowadays we hen you do anything with your vehicle and a shop you have to spend thousands of dollars and the reasons aren't always very obvious. This was one of the few times that I didn't know someone who could help me out on a side hustle so I knew I would be coming out of pocket retail. I didn't regret a penny it cost me and I will always have this locksmiths card in my wallet from this point on in case I need it or anyone I know might need someone. Ilan is an absolute stud. I lost my car key in the middle of an enormous city park and had to bus home. I bicycled back with the spare key only to find the car won't recognize it, so even though I can unlock, the immobilizer keeps the car from starting. Back home in N Portland, under pressure, I search for local locksmiths, fearing I will have to get my car all the hell the way out to Ron Tonkin Honda just to have the stupid key made. What's this? Ilan Lock and Key, they do key replacement and programming? First thing in the morning, I leave a message on the answering machine, and by 8am I am receiving the call from my savior. My home was on the way, so Ilan was nice enough to agree to pick me up on the way to my stranded vehicle, and 45 minutes later I am being picked up, and by 9:45 I'm swiping my credit card with a set of 2 new keys at an unbelievable price considering the quality of work and the urgency of the situation. I am grateful to have Ilan in the area - he busted me out of a major jam no sweat. Incredible work, incredible speed, 10 out of 10 I will call again (if and when I need to)

Can't recommend Ilan enough. I locked myself out of my house later at night. Didn't have my phone. After calling a bunch of locksmiths from my neighbors off the internet and getting nowhere, I landed on Ilan. He came right out as soon as he finished a job he was on. He knew to first check out all possible entry points of my house, got to work, and for me, magically picked my bolted lock! He was great. No drama and super enjoyable to be around. Super happy with my choice to go with Ilan! I called around about 10 different locksmiths to get my ignition repaired. And got a range of quotes and timeframes. Prior to contacting Ilan I had messaged another locksmith who was lacking all ambition to help me with my lost key replacement situation. Another excellent experience with Ilan Lack & Key! This is my second time using Ilan’s services and I was again impressed with his expertise and professionalism, efficiency, and friendly attitude. I had been having trouble getting a new key made for my car after my keys went missing and another locksmith wasn’t able to help because of some complications with my particular vehicle. This is the best experience I've ever had with a locksmith. I was worried that the ignition in my truck needed to be replaced, but luckily, I just needed a new key, and I had a spare made--way less expensive. Yesterday I called Ilan Lock&Key to remove a broken key from a door lock on a work vehicle.
