I purchased a Microsoft Surface Pro tablet and keyboard on 16th November 2016 from JB Hi-Fi for $1,547.25. Around March this year (2020) I noticed some "screen burn" where there was some yellowing on the screen. By October 2020, I had noticed that screen burn was getting worse and it was scrolling through pages on it's own. On 24th November 2020, I noticed that the screen had started to bulge and I immediately turned the computer off as it appeared that the battery had begun to expand. I called Microsoft to see if I could get a refund or replacement for the faulty computer. They said that they were not required to repair, replace or refund me for the computer but advised me not to turn it on as it was now unsafe to do so. I attended the JB Hi-Fi Store in Indooroopilly on Saturday 5th December 2020 to return the computer and was advised by the Store Manager that they believed that 3-4 years was a sufficient time period for a computer to last and they would not replace or refund my purchase. I was promised a call from the Area Manager on Monday 7th December, but I called then today, Wed 9th December 2020 as I had not heard from them and was told the Store Manager was busy and would call me back. The Store Manager, Camille, called me and said that the Area Manager, (Also named Camille) had said that they didn't believe I was entitled to a refund or a replacement and offered me a $200 gift card for the store. This computer now has a major problem which makes it unsafe to use and I don't agree that a computer should be unsafe to use in under 4 years from purchase. As per the ACCC Consumer Rights website... What is a major problem? A product or good has a major problem when: it has a problem that would have stopped someone from buying it if they’d known about it it is significantly different from the sample or description it is substantially unfit for its common purpose and can’t easily be fixed within a reasonable time it doesn’t do what you asked for and can’t easily be fixed within a reasonable time; or it is unsafe. Since 1 January 2011, the following consumer guarantees on products and services apply. Products must be of acceptable quality, that is: safe, lasting, with no faults look acceptable do all the things someone would normally expect them to do. Acceptable quality takes into account what would normally be expected for the type of product and cost. Microsoft agrees that the product is faulty and dangerous and that I should not turn it on. I would expect a battery to be slower in a computer of this age, I would expect it to be slower to boot up and some apps not to work. However, the battery is faulty and dangerous so I am entitled to a refund or replacement as per the Australian Consumer Law.

Went there a few days ago to ask for a replacement charger for a Therabody Prime I bought from them. I had removed the charger from the plug and the bit that connects the plugs to the charger came off. Please refer to the photograph. My device is still in warranty. The staff member was rude and obnoxious and told me that it looked as I had kicked the charger and as result broken it! I was tired and did not have the energy to debate with someone who had no interest in meeting the stores obligation as per the warranty! The staff member then told me to go and buy a charger from Therabody! I have paid hard earned money ($399) to purchase this device! That staff member (should have grabbed his details) then told me that the charger is around $20. He failed to understand their obligations! I further contacted Therabody who have sent me 3 Emails outlining that they have a shortage of chargers in stock and that I should subscribe to their newsletter to find out if/when they will have a spare charger to replace the damaged charger! Poor customer service yet again! I have learned my lesson and will not be shopping at the Indooroopilly store. JB Hi-FI has a store in Oxley. I’ll be taking my business to them!

Jacob a service assistant at Indro JB Hifi saw me, I was looking for someone to help me with a enquiry about a return, he avoided me and started talking to colleagues, I went over to him despite him avoiding me and asked for help. Jacob spoke over me, cut me off, was rude, unhelpful, walked off while I was talking, told me to call the store in future, I told him I did and no one answered, he said well how long did I wait as they are very busy, at that point I looked around there were 3 other customers and about 20 staff standing around chit chatting, then he just turned around and walked off! I called out and asked what his name was, he told me I didn’t need his name! I walked out feeling really upset and decided to go back and speak to the manager Lisa who resolved my issue but didn’t seem bothered by her staffs lack of work ethic and unprofessional attitude, I told her exactly what he said and that he walked off but she didn’t really remark or apologise on his behalf so I’m doubtful that his disgusting behaviour will be addressed. Happy to say I won’t be returning back to store, I hope Jacob learns some much needed manners which he evidently was not raised with.

I have been to this store about 5 times, every time I've been in there I feel like it has been really hard to get someone to help me. There have been times when I have known exactly what I'm after , but have had to wait a long time just to get a staff member with keys to open the the cabinet for me. I've found this frustrating, and sometimes I just leave and go somewhere else where it's easier to get service. Whenever I am able to get assistance (usually after about 20 minutes of me stalking various people around the store that I'm hoping may be staff members) I have always found the staff members to be really pleasant and informative. I understand that there are probably staffing shortages and this is a busy store but I don't think a customer should have to work so hard to get service. I think it would be great to have a better system in place to ensure that customers are able to get support more easily (maybe a number /ticket system or something).

Really poor customer service sadly.. I went into the store this morning and knew exactly what I wanted, but I needed somebody to grab it from the cabinet for me. I was afraid to ask anybody for help because they all seemed too busy, and when i did finally ask somebody, they said I had to wait for somebody else to help me. So I stood around for a bit longer. Then i overheard a customer asking an employee nearby “can i ask you a question?” And the employee looked at her with a really confused expression and said “you’re already asking me a question”. As if we’re all burdens to them just because we need some assistance. I could tell the other customer was also pretty hesitant to ask, which is not how you should feel in a store. I come from a retail background and I would never treat my customers like a burden. That whole experience just made me feel really uncomfortable :(

Visited this store a few times prior to today. As with most JB stores, has an excellent selection covering everthing from ear phone to mobile phones, tv's to dvds, music etc. This being a larger store also means they have great selection of household electrial goods, washing machines, kettles, vacuums etc. Located inside Indooroopilly shopping centre, on a main store level and the employees have always been extemely friendly and helpful. I have used Click and collect at this store previously also. Thank you.

The stock range and the staff were the best I have encountered in JB's in Queensland. There was plenty of staff and all were so helpful and new to the products they were selling. We bought a microwave and when we got home and plugged it in , it made an awful sound , I called the store and they told me to bring it back, when I did the exchanged it so quick and without any hassle. We also got a $30 refund as the price had dropped in two days. Winner winner , well done JB Indooroopilly.

I went to the store today to buy my brothers Christmas gifts. They were quite busy understandably however shout out to staff number 46725, I didn’t catch her name but she was fantastic! Super lovely and explained the different charges/ cables, took her time (even though other customers were impatiently trying to but in) and gave great customer service. Would happily come back if she was working a shift! Please pass it on to her ( she was wearing black rimmed glasses)! Thanks!

I was very impressed by my last visit to JB Hi-Fi Indooroopilly. A very helpful staff member made sure my purchase suited my needs by asking relevant questions. He didn't try to sell me the most expensive option and actually talked me out of more expensive options because they would not have been the best for my needs. I always enjoy my visits to JB Hi-Fi Indooroopilly. The store is a great place to peruse household electronics, including music production equipment.

Shout out to Luke - went in yesterday to get a laptop and needed someone to assist me in making the right decision to ensure I got the right product to suit my needs. Laptop Experience We recently visited the store to purchase a laptop and whilst the team didn’t have the laptop which was on sale they organised it to be shipped from Sydney will no fuss. We are waiting on a call for it to be delivered but the team have been super responsive and knowledgeable. I would recommend chatting with the team about what you need and they’ll point you in the right direction. Excellent experience this far

Very average customer service at this JBHifi outlet. It's difficult to find a helpful staff member on the weekends & the queues at the checkout counter is usually very long & slow. Only the convenience of the store location inside Indro Shopping Centre is its best attribute unfortunately. If you have a car & is willing to drive 10 mins, I would recommend to go to the Mt Ommaney store instead as it's service is much better

I got a pretty well service from Andy(TV section) and a long hair girl in reception. I spent about 5K on a camera and TCL TV from them. I have many gift card to redeem but they are very patient and professional with 5 star services. I have been to several JB HIFI stores ever, but they are truly explaining how JB become the largest digital store in here. No matter what I need I the future, I am sure will go there first.

A nice and patient guy took care of us on Thursday 11th aug at about 7-8pm and was very informative and accommodating to my in divisiveness and helped me make the right choice. Couldn’t remember his name but he’s tall and has glasses and was in the gaming peripherals counter. He also cared about the customers a lot and kept trying to take care of everyone which is commendable cause it’s a pain but hey he did it so yeah

I Asked if my Samsung tablet was still covered by my extended warranty,? All I got in return it doesn't cover cracks. Not we can replace the screen or what is the process. I buy all my equipment from this store. No more I will find a new store that will listen to the question before answering. I know the sales person let's see if they own up to the there manager 21st September around 9:40am

I've had excellent experience with staff here who have been very helpful with their customer support when dealing with a faulty product. Unfortunately I cannot give more than 3 stars to any place with the gross customer-hostile practice of putting check out in the middle of the store, necessitating they place someone at the door to treat you as a thief on the way out every single time.

My partner and I went to JB Hi-Fi to shop for a new modem for our apartment. Our associate, Michael, was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable (despite modems not technically being his area of expertise), giving us great information on different modem and router options. We ended up opting for Google Nest, and Michael was able to price match another retailer. Great shopping experience

First jb I can remember being at where not one staff member asked if I needed a hand. Waited and paced around the USB hard drive storage section and nothing, made eye with a couple of staff and I'm sure was checked out by store security in plain clothes and no help. 2 staff members talked to each other giggling and laughing in the computer section for a good 5 minutes

Customer Service was almost non existent and feels like they are doing you a favour for being in their presence. LOL They walk around and almost do their best to not help customers. Was looking to purchase a new lap top but ended up at Officeworks. General Manager needs to get staff trained to the same degree as Brisbane and Chermside Branches of JB Hi-Fi

Just plain and simple, solid GOOD customer service. The staff are friendly and helpful. Iv even had to have items replaced and was expecting a hassle but nope, they were more than happy to replace the item instantly. Staff seem to be happy working with each other and it shows. Just seems like a cool work environment for the young adults working there.

Unfortunately not great service, it was within an hour of closing, so perhaps the floor staff were exhausted from a busy weekend. All floor staff walked past me offering no assistance. Went to the main checkout counter to ask for help finding a product. The gentleman on the register however was very helpful and paged someone who immediately help me.

the young Man that served me was so pleasant and helpful. we got some amazing bargains in the end of financial year sale and I asked to do price match with office works and he was willing too look it all up and price match everything including the new Google Pixel phone and a new I pad which came in considerably less than their price.

Customer service is horrible. I asked for help upon entering the store, was told help would arrive soon but it never did (~20 mins). I asked again, still no help. Well done JB, you missed out on a $574 sale, I went next door to rebel sport and was greeted with great customer service and made the purchase.

Relatively painless shopping and follow up warranty return on a laptop about 8 months later. Service was alright, except the warranty repair notification didn't come through and I had to manually follow up with the store to check if it had been repaired.
