Great staff and excellent stock on hand. Beautiful open space floor plan, relative to most JBs. Had a talented and knowledgeable young girl named “Masham” help my wife and myself out mainly with: Photography Cameras (DSLR & Mirrorless), Action Cameras, and Headphones. It was great to see such a passionate person (ESPECIALLY about photography and IT) helping us decide the best solution for many future purchases. She was able to provide us with all information regarding what we should look into, extra camera items and all that jazz. Also, was very courteous with our slow understanding but kept an open mind and showed us so much about the camera world!! We left the store feeling like we learnt so much. She also helped us out with the Apple section (iPhone, Watch, Mac) and what would be the best fit for us, keeping in mind all of our life stories and lifestyle. Also, we spoke about Extra Care, Mobile Extras and how to go about getting some great $$$$ gift card deals with the JB phone data plan (Telstra powered) and it’s insane how many deals JB Hifi has!! You can set up a small amount of the deals online, but the best experience where you truly get the bang for your buck is visiting in store. Masham is so genuine and very passionate, and I hope to see her soar with her studies in the future. She said she is studying Computer Science and wants to make a great change in the world of tech in Machine Learning too. She is a superstar, inside and outside the store. Definitely the person you want to talk about stuff when it comes to Audio/Cameras/IT. My wife and I were extremely happy we were served by her and not someone just simply trying to get their stats up. GREAT HIRE JB!!! Tip for anyone visiting: Ask in advance to see if Masham is in store. She can get busy especially since she’s casual and interning elsewhere; the young lady gets flown out a fair bit for her outside work life. I kid you not, it’s worth the wait to be served by her. LASTLY! Do not expect home appliances in the city! This is the only JB Hi-fi in the city that we have seen that has anything remotely ‘home’ related, being TVs. However, the staff can still help you out by setting up a delivery or collection at another store for home appliances.

was considering buying a laptop, was almost gonna go for a chromebook that was on special. Guy started trying to get me to switch internet providers, I told him twice I wasnt interested, Im just after a laptop. This is the moment he went from friendly helpful assistant, to a pushy sales guy testing his pitch on me. Pushy and rude, lost a sale. I hear this is a common angle from JB Hifi to push their staff to do this, word of advice....customers don't like it, DON'T DO IT. Also very unorganised, opening cupboard doors and searching frantically for a laptop that they're not even sure they had in stock. Instead of offering me the display model, just offered laptops nearly twice the price, before finally tring to change my phone plan. Also what sort of tech expert who knows so much about gaming hasn't heard of Morrowind for god's sake

I was looking for a Fossil Watch. The store folks were helpful. I think the name of the person who helped me was Axel. He was helpful in searching for the model I was looking for. Finally I did not get the watch but ended up looking at Apple watch. It was not available at this store but he called up Albert St. store and got it arranged for me. Over priced and the staff I have encountered for "help" have been mostly rude. I had one guy ignore me for 15 minutes while he was on hold on the phone. And then when he decided to "help" me he waved his hand in the general direction of some items and left me to figure it out for myself. When I came back to ask if they could order in an item for me he dismissed what I wanted and said he wouldn't bother ordering any of those items because "no one has those". Crap customer service. Went to JayCar and they had a bunch on the shelf and were great with customer service.

I love JB usually however today I had to pick up a new MacBook Pro which I ordered and paid for at a different branch. I think I must have interrupted the staff member from a gossip session or her lunch break because she was snappy from the get go. When I mentioned I'd need a bag she tartly replied " I WILL SELL YOU A BAG WHEN IM DONE HERE" and then, despite obviously knowing the purchase I'd just made around the corner was for $3,400, processed $1.00 for me to tap and pay. I don't particularly care about $1 but her attitude stinks.

Service can be improved. The cashier i dealt with was a young guy. I had a question and he responded he has no idea, then scanned my big purchase. If you are a new staff, there are always ways to say you are not too sure and you can try to find out than just saying "i have no idea". No thanks in the end even if I spent $500 on a single purchase, didn't explain any warranty or anything. Hopefully managers can see this comment and train their staff better especially the casual team members during the busy holiday season.

This is one of the larger CBD stores. You've got a range of departments in this store. There's a good range of PCs and computer hardware peripherals at this store. Gaming section is large. I'd agree with other local guides that suggest staff are hard to come by during peak periods like lunch and on weekends. The attraction for me is that JB almost expect you to ask politely for their "best price" on the item you're buying. I've rarely had to pay ticket price on anything I've purchased.

Not enough staff working, waited for 15 minutes for a staff member to access items in a locked cabinet, to be rudely told they were available elsewhere in the store but they were inferior products that I wasn't looking for. Waited another 10 minutes and gave up after bieing ignored twice. I ended up walkibg down the mall to Camera Pro where I was immediately served and as it happens for a cheaper price. If you want any type of customer service I'd suggest staying away.

Wont be back. Poor customer service, poor communication and when they make an error a HUGE error in delivery, they dont own up to the problem and make you feel like YOUR a nuisance, go figure. Sales guy didnt know his stuff and pushed us the wrong tv which doesnt perform as claimed, delivery was late, installation too hard and the courier service pathetic to the point we had to ask them to leave our home. JB you need to do better, just not good enough. Wont be back.

came in today to the store & overheard an employee discussing inappropriate topics within earshot of customers to two other employees who seemed uncomfortable, & sounded like he was also threatening them with illegitimate claims. it felt extremely odd & i’m worried about the employees who were in that conversation, considering how uncomfortable they seemed. i left the store quickly as i started to feel uncomfortable as a customer

Stood by the TV's for about 5 minutes. No other customers in the area. Could clearly see about 5 staff, talking amongst themselves, stocking a shelf, on the phone. Not once did a member of staff deem us worthy enough to ask if we needed assistance. We left. That's the problem with all JB hi-fi stores. The staff think they are too cool for school. They look at customers as though they are an inconvenience. Sad really.

Four available staff just hanging around ignoring customers. It was obvious they intentionally avoided eye contact and avoided turning their heads my way. I walked back and forth for a few minutes trying to draw their attention. There was no way they didn't see me, but still made no eye contact. Didn't feel welcome. In this competitive market, I'll just go to another company that has better customer service.

False advertising on their catalogue says the DJI Mini 2 Fly more combo is 719 bucks. When I got to the store the price was 950 instead. The employee apologized for the printing mistake and offered me 50 buck discount from 950. Long story short, I was committed to buy the drone today, however i only got disappointment from their mistake. The employee was great btw. Horribly done JB Hi-Fi

I was already one very happy trying to your eyes one of the units and finding out that it was better prices for the units. Having return the units I found that the management and the people working there was very very helpful and had no issues so even though the units that I purchased did not work out for me I do believe a overall they were a well-established union

Walked into the store to buy a magnetic power bank to charge my phone cause the port wasn’t working, and Joe walked up and helped me with the power bank, when I told him what the problem he went and found a solution as to why the charger wasn’t working and it was a small fix: saved me a lot of money, would highly recommend joe for any phone issues.

JB is always good. They have a big enough market share that they freely give you the best deal they can and they have even been honest enough to not reccommend a product. The gestapo at the entrance is very unpleasant but understandable. It's the only shop that has this type of security that i know of, really unpleasant.

I think this store is the best of three JB Hi-Fi stores around Queens Street. I went there with the dilemma of choosing the right configuration of Mac for me. Though the store was busy during that time because of the Black Friday sale, the sales guy explained things to me patiently.
