While I am not a client I have been a recipient of flowers from LaVassar for several years. In the past I have always received my order and communication along with it. This year I received a call from a stranger saying they had received my flowers. Not from the florist, mind you. I called LaVassar and gave them the correct address. They said they would make sure I received my flowers at the correct address and they would call to follow up. Having heard nothing for 2 days I called again and spoke with Judy. She said they'd been given the wrong address and I had requested the flowers not be sent for a week. I explained that I made no such request and was hung up on. I called back and continued to get push back from Judy. She said leaving a review would be 'unfair' because they have excellent reviews. I became agitated by the inaccuracy of their information and she hung up on me again. Here's what I know from my years in customer relations: It is unprofessional to blame the recipient of a gift for any errors on the part of the giver, if that is the case. It is unprofessional to say you will call a client to resolve an issue and not do so. It is not okay to essentially threaten someone about leaving a review on their experience. Own your mistakes and provide the customer service you say you're so well known for. There are SO many wonderful florists in Seattle...I'd recommend literally anyone other than LaVassar.

If you're looking for an amazing, trustworthy florist in Seattle...look no further. I have used them probably a half dozen times and have always been blown away by how lovely their arrangements are. I don't live in the area, so I always use them to deliver flowers to my mom. Many times this occurs on national holidays (such as Mother's Day). Their quality NEVER suffers despite the increase in demand. My mom always goes on and on about how beautifully presented the arrangements are, and the flowers are always extremely fresh and long-lasting. My mom also made a point of saying how friendly and nice the man who delivered the flowers was. I'll never use another florist in Seattle because I feel as if I've found a true gem in LaVassar Florists. LaVassar is one-of-a-kind...I really trust them as a wonderful family-owned business. I love supporting them. Their designs are absolutely beautiful and really unique...their arrangements clearly aren't something you could pick up at any florist. I think their prices are quite reasonable for the value, quality, and artistic touch of their arrangements. You can tell they take pride in what they do and have a true eye and talent for making beautiful and unique floral arrangements. Thank you for once again making both my mom and me very happy as always!!! Your attention to quality, detail, and beauty does not go unnoticed or unappreciated.

I ordered from British Columbia, Canada, for delivery to a relative at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle. I saw that LaVassar had very good Google reviews. I requested the arrangement with an opaque vase, and specific ribbons. LaVassar sends pictures, which is great, and I was very satisfied with the final arrangement vs. cost. The arrangement was ordered on March 8, for delivery on March 14. When I contacted them on the day of delivery, at noon it was still at the shop. Initially I was disappointed with the speed of delivery, and my original comment reflected this. However, Judy called me in Canada afterward, to explain that the roses I wanted- orange and yellow- were special order, delivered only every few days. She preferred to wait for the fresh flowers coincidentally delivered today, which would last much longer. The fact that she did not hesitate to follow up and call me with this explanation was a very good customer experience. Communication matters. 5 stars.

I spent a solid hour (or two) shopping around online for florists in the Ballard area who can do a same day delivery. Most shops were too expensive for the arrangements provided, and didn't offer a lot of variety. FINALLY I came across LaVassar and I'm so glad I did! Their website is easy to navigate, their arrangements are inexpensive and stunning for the price. They provided a picture of the actual arrangement that was delivered, which is always a concern when ordering from unknown florists - not knowing what the actual arrangement will look like. They also sent a confirmation when the flowers were delivered. Under the 'special instructions' I wrote "give her a hug for me" as my aunt was having a tough day - hence the flowers. The sweet woman who delivered the flowers ACTUALLY GAVE HER A HUG! I was blown away. Amazing service, stunning quality arrangements for the price. If I ever need a florist in Seattle again I will be coming to LaVassar. HIGHLY recommend!

I am beyond words amazed and grateful with the experience I had with this florist. One of my best friends recently got married and I wanted to surprise him with flowers on his special day. I originally had scheduled a floral arrangement with a different florist online, and even though I gave them a heads up of 5 days and paid extra for assured delivery before noon they unfortunately never delivered. After that horrid experience I found LaVassar; and the florist I spoke with treated me with such empathy I was blown away. I had originally thought I wouldn’t be able to get any flowers to my friend same day but they went above and beyond here and in just under 2 and a half hours they had an arrangement put together 10x more beautiful than the one I had ordered at the other place AND they had delivered it too!!! I absolutely love LaVassar Florist and loved the two opportunities I’ve gotten to work with them so far. I had a small covid wedding in October 2020 that Joanne designed my bouquet and some boutonnières and corsages for. They were so perfect that when I had my postponed wedding reception in October 2021, I asked if she could recreate my bouquet and in addition to creating some larger floral arrangements and garlands. Again, everything was so perfect. Joanne was SO AMAZING at guiding me through the choices I had. We used La Vassar for our wedding flowers and I would give them more stars is possible! We met with Joanne for an initial appointment and she quickly picked up on what we were looking for and had some great suggestions. Over the next few months, she was quick to respond with any changes I was making to the order and always answered my questions. When the day arrived, the flowered turned out even better than I expected! We had many complements on them as well as the fireplace display she set up with greenery draped over it with more flowers. Top class professionals and floral arrangements. I called to discuss floral arrangements on the Tuesday prior to my father's Monday funeral, and Joanne kindly discussed the possibilities and what might look best for the occasion. A custom order was placed for two easel arrangements, and when I called with a question on Sunday which happened to be Mother's Day, she had stayed two hours after closing to continue working on the arrangement for my father's funeral. The easel arrangements were absolutely gorgeous, and beyond that, the experience of communicating and collaborating with someone who cares on the perfect product will keep me returning to LaVassar whenever I can.

I’ve had two experiences with LaVassar now. My bf ordered flowers for me and it was the most beautiful arrangement with my favorite colors (and they lasted for so long!) So when my friend’s bday came up, I decided to order a designer’s choice arrangement for her and they turned out so lovely! Such a reasonable price for next day delivery too! Can't recommend this florist enough! Peace Lily was exactly was pictured on website. They went above and beyond with delivery. When they went to deliver no one was home and because of the cold snap & downpour we were experiencing they didn't want to leave it on front porch. No answer when they called recipient, they simultaneously called me to let me know and left plant with a neighbor, then left message for recipient. The thought and care to ensure a beautiful product was received (not just delivered) shows such a level of customer care! Will absolutely use again and recommend to others

Over the top joyful and perfect. This florist had an unusually large number of reviews and extremely high ratings. When I ordered online, I asked for a substitution of one flower. They emailed that they would do that. The day of delivery they sent a photo of the actual flowers they were delivering. It was spectacular. Gorgeous. On top of that, they had an unusual offering called Kaleidoscope. Take a look. This just tickled me, and I knew the recipient would adore it. Creative, unusual and fun. A flight of fancy. They emailed me once it had been delivered. This florist is the best!

This was the first time I ordered from LaVassar Florist, and I recommend them highly. I wanted a local florist close to my daughter-in-law for her birthday flowers. They have a beautiful selection of arrangements, their website was very easy to use and prices are reasonable. Loved the confirmation and communication about the address and the person I was having it delivered to. My friend absolutely loved these flowers they were beautiful. Also to add most notes from florists are typed up, my goodness the cursive writing on the card was SUCH a personal touch and I appreciated this very much! I also liked the preview email they gave you a photo of the flowers before they were sent out as well as a photos and confirmation of when it was dropped off. I love the variety of potted plants they offer, in addition to cut flowers. My Lazy River succulent was beautiful and my sister loved it. Also, they sent me a photo of the freshly planted arrangement before they delivered it, a very thoughtful and surprising touch. Lastly, even though I didn’t get the order in till the afternoon, it was delivered the very next morning. Oh yes ,their website is very robust and extremely easy to use. And fun to look at. For example, I had the option to have 3, 4, or 5 Plants in the arrangement, lots of good options

Purchased the $75 designer's choice option. The floral arrangement exceeded expectations. The end result was a lovely variety of textures and flowers that made the arrangement look unique, sophisticated and pretty. The flowers were delivered for a baby shower and was very well received. When calling to ask about different options, LaVassar was friendly and helpful. They also provided a picture of what the arrangement looked like once assembled and confirmation of delivery, which I appreciated.

I am SO HAPPY with my experience with LaVassar Florists! Not only did they deliver a superior product, but they were also extremely clear and communicative the entire way. I ordered online, from outside of the state. The prices are extremely fair and reasonable for the area. The quality of the flowers was excellent. On top of that, the card was hand-addressed in beautiful cursive. I was able to get a super fresh, both in style and quality, arrangement to my brother with only a day’s notice. I have been using my neighborhood florist.. LaVassar for almost 10 years now. My grandmother was a florist and I love to help design arrangements when I order them, however the designers are amazing here and I now just quickly call and order saying "do your amazing thing!".
