"This bank branch is one of Natwest's worst branches"
"I wanted to open a bank account for students while I'm studying here"
"Soon as you walk into this bank a team member will approach You"

"Website shows this bank as currently open and also the branch by St Phillips churchyard"
This bank branch is one of Natwest's worst branches. The staff and above all the manager (SANI) of this is totally a person without education and without a point of communication with the client. Personally I have a bad experience with this branch no further than yesterday, it was impossible to withdraw my money when I needed it and being within all the rules I had informed the day before, the cashier and then the manager on treated very badly. the manager an ignorant and uneducated I think and uneducated or trained to behave towards the good client who did not receive us in the office but in the corridors and in the lobby of the bank where he was full of clients and with unprecedented arrogance. Normal that lowered myself and the reputation of the bank because it did nothing to me, I finished work in another country and decided not to be with the clients of this bank. I have a piece of advice for the central offices of this bank to control the branch because with such staff and management they risk losing other clients like me. Open your eyes people that there are ordinary and through these posts that seem to you personally are above us while being paid by us.
I wanted to open a bank account for students while I'm studying here. One of the receptionist who helped me told me to get a letter from my university, but some days after that, when I finally got it, they told me that they couldn't open the account because my stay was for less than 6 months. So I lost an entire week because they couldn't tell me all the requirements the first time I came. The letter is addressed to the specific bank you're going to, so if I want to go to another bank the letter I have will be useless and I'll have to trow away more of my time requesting another one, all of this because the first day I came they were not able to tell me everything I would need or if there were any specific conditions, which would have been the logical thing to do.
Soon as you walk into this bank a team member will approach You. I find this annoying to be honest. You can’t just walk in and queue you need to scan a QR code and fill out a a small form online before you’re given your position in the queue on your phone . It’s really annoying and long to be using my phone to get a space in the queue when I just want a statement. Going this bank is A 20 minute wait minimum. Last time I was here updating my phone number the system crashed. And I waited 30 mins. Find this bank to be trying to move into the future with technology but hasn’t reach that point.confused as to why there’s not a machine for statements to print.
Edit. So somehow they got worse. They've lost a deposit, how I don't know as we have evidence of deposit. And today found out I've been bare faced lied to by the management, they lied that only one cashier can open per desk at a time, but today two to one desk. I do not like liars. Worst service I've ever received from anyone ever. Every visit you'll wait about half an hour and just watch the security guard oggle anything with a pulse occasionally talking down to you. Change banks, it will be quicker than just waiting in their qué and less degrading, today I'm soaked through as even with torrential rain you aren't permitted to enter the building.
Website shows this bank as currently open and also the branch by St Phillips churchyard. Neither are open - update your site details!! My disabled daughter is unable to get to our local branch easily to pay a cheque in. Nat West's phone app doesn't support this (other banks do - mine does), you can pay via post but you need a paying-in slip. I don't think you can download one from the website. The government organisation sends cheques and does not do bank transfers hence our wasted trip today. Please don't hide behind covid19 NatWest - move into the 21st century!!
I can't be more grateful to Gavin the mortgage advisor! This is my first time purchasing the property and have absolutely no idea where to start. Gavin was so patient and experienced, explained everything as many times as it needed. And I could just feel 100% he is helping me to make the best choice. Everything goes really smoothly and I've got my mortgage with the best offer! Really happy and really appreciated his generous help!! I'll give 10 stars to him if it exists!! Definitely recommend using NatWest!
I have literally been to the bank 5 times within 2 days trying to open a bank account. I was asked to bring my passport which I did, then asked to print a paper out, which I did, then asked to get a letter from my employer, which I did the next day , then they told me the letter needs to be addressed the exact bank branch address. I don't know why they don't give me all the information in one go! Incompetent or deceiving staff, I don't know which one is worse.
A spectacularly bad branch. Painfully slow, I mean really painfully slow, which is poorly managed. No matter how long the queue there will be invariably just one cashier understandably stressed and overworked. I regularly walk past a queue of over 20 people halfway down the ramp waiting to get into this Natwest Branch whilst I now smugly visit Lloyds on New Street who are both efficient and speedy.
The self service machines are okay. Opening hours are the main problem, they don’t specify which services close earlier. Also the lines at lunch time are so long - anyone with the average 9-5 won’t have time to go in. The staff cane across moody when I asked her to print my statements and said I could’ve just done it online instead of coming in (I needed them stamped)…
Turned up at 9.35 as branch opens at 9.30. Watched the whole branch having an open floor meeting through the glass doors but they refused to open up. They just looked at me almost smugly. Took zero effort to open up on time, zero to acknowledge a customer and showed complete disdain for myself and another guy waiting outside. Finally left after 9.40. Still not open
Not happy with the customer service at all. Very rude and out spoken member of staff. Been a customer for a very long time but with the kind of customer service thinking of leaving. General staff members pretend to be the managers by covering each other's back when it comes to a complaint. Customers are being made fools at this branch. No good at all.
Very bad customer service thinking of leaving this bank having been with them for 12 years. Encountering an issues with a particular member of staff Tukeer Hussain. Full of grief and attitude and then on top refusing to help me after waiting for my turn to come. Not happy with the service at the grand central natwest bank.
Very pushy staff trying to sell you products (loans) that you don't want.Didnt seen to understand the meaning of the word no.Have been a customer of Natwest for over 40 years but have made a mental note never to use this particular branch again All i wanted to do was pay a bill and not to be badgered by woman on the desk!
Terrible experience!! Wasn’t allowed to send my own money even though Iv been banking with NatWest for over 10 years ! Had my card and my pin and could answer any security question but still made me go home and get my id for some unknown reason , I miss the Frederick st branch …
Popped into the natwest bank grand central and the Asian woman the manager as she claims she was very very rude her name was binny or some funny Indian name... did not know how to speak to me as I was a customer of 14 years with them. Then decided to call security on me
Attitude of Asian lady on enquiry desk yesterday was not customer friendly.i have been in for change for the store numerous times.was told abruptly this couldn't be done.i am a Nat West card holder.i for one will not be using this branch again.!!
Very poor service in this branch. So much staff on but only 2 people on the cashiers to ACTUALLY help out. Dont go to this branch unless you want to be waiting in line for 40 minutes to even be served. Staff are clueless and all look depressed.
Natwest is the best Bank in among all Banks in England.iam fully satisfied with NatWest Grand Central Birmingham Branch Staff. All Staff Co-operate with Customers with an Excellent Manner.Welldone and Excellent NatWest Bank and Staff. Thanks
Went in to do something I didn't feel able to do online, and was booked in and seen to quickly, and on a Saturday they still offered the service I required. The staff member who dealt with me - Charlotte - was very friendly and helpful.
Don’t understand why the staff in this branch jump on you when you enter, asking you personal questions about how much you want to deposit infront of other customers, very unprofessional. The staff all need to be retrained.
Went in with issues with my telephone banking and they weny above and beyond to help , they were patient when i was clearly frustrated jasmine especially was awesome beautiful and helpful and everything in between
the worst bank in UK. the stuffs are racists, they leave me waiting for about 30 mins, and the other can pass. keep say sorry to me, but never fix my problem. I dropped my account and switch to another bank!!!!!!
At lunch time, the only chance most people get to go to the bank there is always a long queue and not enough cashiers...every single day. Why not cover for this? No planning at all, very annoying.
Very slow service. One woman on cashier who looked like she had recently been trained so she should have had back up. The florr staff was chit chatting with each other. Really bad branch
Poor customer services, there is just ONE counter inspite a few staffs inside, Rude Manager.Long quee outside. Not update opening time on Google. Worse branch I see on Birmingham.
Absolutely rubbish customer service. Wanted to translate for my father, the natwest employee told me that is not possible. Tsb around the corner was extremely helpful. Shocking.
Absolutely awful branch!! So unhelpful!! Seen me about to walk in and locked the door infront of me!! Rude when asked and told go away come back tomorrow!! Disgusting!
Despite being a customer for 20 years they refused to verify some documents that would have taken 5 minutes. Disappointed, annoyed and will be closing my account.
Very speedy service. Very organised with a queueing system, and staff (even those who were training) were friendly and worked very quickly and efficiently.
I’ve never known this bank not to have a huge queue with only one person on the desk. Four computers available but only ever one is working apparently.
Worst customer service i was waiting to close my account. And fix the customer service. I am never banking with you guys i am going to another bank.
Good customer service and they also have a coin machine only problem is that there is long queue and there card machine also doesn’t work
The horrible racist staff. Refused to open bank account to pregnant woman saying British passport is OK but name is not British.
Brilliant branch and a really helpful team , People love to moan so ignore the Karen’s!! Great experience and branch!! …
Drove 30 miles to use services on a Saturday because they closed at 18:00. But told at 17:05 their services were closed
Staff always pleasant and helpful. There are queues sometimes, but given it's central location that's understandable!
CLOSED ON SUNDAYS DESPITE THIS SAYING ITS OPEN. Always pushy staff trying to sell you loans. Terrible branch
The customer service is poor and has been poor over the years. I can’t wait to close my account with them.
Not fully open till 6. After 5pm the counter is shut for any cash in / out. Only cash machines available
Staff are unprofessional, branch manager is away with the fairies by the looks of it.
I thought the staff were very friendly and professional, and went that extra mile.
Friendly staff even when the brunch is busy staff do manage to chat with you
