I am severely disappointed by the customer service, or lack thereof, that I received at this location tonight (November 6th). My partner and I have spent over $7000 this week on emergency vet trips. Tonight, we needed to pick up an inflatable e-collar for our cat because the cone the vet had supplied was causing him distress. I had to work. I wasn’t able to make it to this location until 6:55. They were to close at 7pm. My partner called and said that I was on my way, that I’d be there by 6:55 and to please stay open (because stores love to close earlier than their stated closing times) because we needed that e collar. The female associate he spoke to was incredibly rude, and told him that “she better get here before 7.” I arrived at 6:55. When I entered the store, there was an associate putting a cart away. He literally rolled his eyes at me. I apologized, said I understood they closed in 5 minutes and that I just had to grab one thing. I asked him where the e collars were located, so I didn’t waste time wandering the store. I literally JOGGED to where he pointed, grabbed an e-collar and jogged back to the till. The entire time, he made it very clear that he was upset about me coming in so close to closing. I needed to also grab litter, but I was close to tears, and just left. I got to the store at 6:55. I got into my car at 6:58. They promptly closed and locked the store as soon as I left. After a long and stressful week, this entire situation was the last thing I needed. I work retail myself and personally pride myself on my exceptional customer service skills. I understand the frustration of seeing a customer come in so close to closing. But it is unacceptable to be so obvious with your displeasure, especially when my entire transaction took 3 minutes and I still made it out of the store before closing. I used to purchase all my pet supplies at Petsmart, but after this experience, I have decided that I should probably take my business elsewhere. I am honestly incredibly disappointed with the level of care that I was shown by your staff and I will be sure to be sharing my experience with others.

If I could give zero stars I would. I've taken my dogs to this location for 6 years. I called before hand and was told I did not need an appointment for a walk in nail trim. Today I arrived at 11:30am for a walk in nail trim, and immediately one of the girls with brown thinning hair rudely said we can't take him today without even looking at their schedule or anything. Another girl looked at the schedule and said we can take him late tonight.... I get that they were definitely busy with grooming appointments but maybe don't offer nail trims if you can't fit them in. The customer service is usually very good at this location but all 4 girls working today I would give zero stars for their attitude, and unwillingness to try and problem solve. I'm not expecting to be fit in immediately but before late at night like i was told considering i arrived at 11:30am, every other time I've come to this location the girls problem solve, and put one of the dogs they're grooming in the back for a second while they do a 5 minute nail trim, or ask me to come back within a couple of hours which I'm fine with. Again I'm not expecting this, but i drive 40 minutes to get here and at the very least just a nail trim before "late tonight" as you advertise for walk in nail trims, it just shows who does and doesn't have good customer service skills, and there were 4 girls working today who clearly didn't had zero customer service skills.

I'm so disappointed in their grooming service customer service. First I book an apt online and 2 days later they cancel, no explanation just a message on my phone apt had to be cancelled. Annoying but I book again for today October 12th - I drop my small 12lb shih zu off at 230pm. The girl tells me she will call when she is ready BUT if I do not hear from them by 430pm come for 5pm as that is the latest they'll be. Okay fine. I recieve no call so I head over - lugging my two small children, during rush hour. I walk in and see 4 staff all chatting. A girl with dark brown hair was standing in the middle of the centet and quickly rushes back over to the dog she was grooming when i walked in - the dog happened to be mine. I look to see and my dog has barely been touched. I asked when she would be done and the girl laughed and said maybe by 530. I was beyond frustrated, said ok and left. This was absolutely ridiculous, it's fine if they had to work on her longer but I should have been contacted and they should not be telling people to come back at certain times unless they are completely sure. This is unfortunately not my first disappointment with this grooming center. I will not return.

The dog trainers here are way better compared to other PetSmart locations. They make it fun and adapt on the fly to help our dogs be successful during and after the class. Tori was our trainer during puppy training and 1-on-1 with our newest dog and Elizabeth is our trainer now. Both have been wonderful and knowledgeable and we successfully utilize the methods they have taught us in all areas with our puppy. Highly highly recommend Elizabeth if you're looking for a trainer, she's fantastic! We also regularly take our older dog to this location for grooming and he looks forward to going. Our younger puppy is very squirmy, excitable and doesn't like her paws touched so we had concerns initially. The way the groomers handled her nail trimming was amazing. Her tail was wagging the whole time and she was not afraid. She loved the experience.. So impressed with all the staff at this location. All the staff are kind and you can tell it is a well managed store.

Dont bring your pets here for grooming. What a very bad experience!! First . They didnt finish my dogs haircut, and nails they said” shes not trained and shes biting”(nit her first time to get groomed, we never had this problem before)Paid $80, when I got home i noticed they didnt even brushed her teeth/ clean my pets ears. My partner was the one who brought her there I was at work. We went back to petsmart to get a refund. And guess what? Upon entering the door , my pet started shaking , you can see from her eyes that shes scared and got anxiety. Which never happened to her before she went their for grooming. We always go to petsmart as her treat. Never seen her so scared . I was mad and told The groomer(manager was unprofessional). I wonder what happened when she was there for 4hours. Also let me add , you can hear the dogs crying. To the groomers at petsmart calgary trail, if you don’t love your job just quit!!

I have taken my one dog barley here multiple times to be groomed. Each time is easy and organized. He comes out clean and smelling good, having no issues while there etc. This time I picked him up and he was majorly drooling from stress. He and my other pup got their nails trimmed - absolutely horrible. Every nail had been cut past the wick to bleed and crushed so it was splintering. There was no bandana as paid for in my package on either dog. He didn’t not smell good at all, and was not as soft as normal. When I dropped my 2 dogs off there was a line, inside was hectic and busy as hell. I feel like they over booked themselves by far and did not give full service as paid. I know need to get my dog regroomed and monitor their nails. $150 for nothing. Sadly will not be returning to this location again for such. Disappointing.

Me and my daughter went to this place to buy food for our pets. While billing, the cashier billed twice for the product we purchased. I noticed it and waited patiently for her to finish billing. Finally, after I got the receipt I checked it if was correct or not. As I noticed earlier I was billed twice for a product worth $47. When I asked, the cashier did not answer responsibly. Then I asked the manager about it, she took a look and said yes it was billed twice and the amount will be refunded to you and she said what's the big deal? How rude!!! Will she allow me get out of the store if I didn't pay $47 and said the same what's the big deal.. She didn't even tried to apologize. It would be better if you avoid going to that store. .

Store staff didn't know the shelf location of a product they carry, but I was able to find it myself eventually and there was plenty in stock. If you're ever at this location searching for the Rocco and Roxy "stain & odor eliminator" spray product to remove cat urine from your home, it's located in the dog products section only (as of this posting). Otherwise, the store was nice and clean and the staff were friendly and very helpful. Since there are loads of products in this store it would be nice if staff had a way of looking up the exact shelf location of something based on UPC or some other search criteria.

Staff are not competent. I have never had a problem with my dog anywhere except this place. The staff says that my dog is anxious, and kennel aggressive. I have gone away on holidays and left my dog while going on holidays at dog boarding kennels, and have gone to many groomers and have been told he is an absolute sweetie. Our vet says there is not an aggressive bone in his body but when he goes to the Calgary trail location it is a different story. I am not sure it they are aggressive with the animals that they grooming but I will never bring my dog here again.

Please see my other reviews - I only write 1 star or 5 star. We arrived this evening at the Petsmart to do a meet and greet with a cat for adoption. We were greeted by the manager, Sara, who was extremely knowledgeable and attentive and answered all of our questions as first time cat parents. She showed us around the store for a half hour and answered all of our questions regarding different foods, products, litter, care, and everything under the sun. Overall, she was a great employee and went way above and beyond. Thanks Sara for helping us with Catrick Swayze!

I had an appointment today for my dog to be groomed, while I was booking it I asked for her back due to be trimmed since it looked a bit messy, and same with her stomach area, I also booked in for a deshedding with the special dryer they use (I think it’s called a fur amatory or something), when I picked her up they told me that she didn’t like the fur dryer to they let her dry in the kennel by herself, and she wasn’t trimmed at all. She also has this weird white coating all over her, almost like the shampoo wasn’t rinsed. Either way, terrible..

Absolute , hassle the management need to be erased from this place total restructure in my opinion ..... so inorderd online , it says order will be ready in three hours... I go in three hours later and go physically pick the item , show my online receipt show my bank transaction , show my order number ..... but yet they don't let me walk out of the store with my paid for items ... ridiculouse ..called there customer support and got no where with them ...just a useless company. I will never be back.

Hard to get service. They say they are understaffed. If it was a goof place to work they wouldn't be. Had a worker undermine me when helping myself when no worker was present or responding. Management seemingly ignored my complaint and stood up for the worker. Most likely because no one wants to work there and replacement would be difficult. I found Roonami to be 10 times better for all my reptile and arachnid needs. More knowledgeable and take better care of their animals. Petssmart is trash.

February 12/23. I called this location to see if I could do a walk in nail trim. I was told by the audio recorded message to book online. I went online and it said nail trims are walk in with no appointment necessary. I drive there and was told I had to bring in proof of rabies vaccine, make an online account, and call beforehand. I was turned away as I did not do all of these things beforehand. So beware of this and it is false that this location offers walk in nail trims.

I do not usually shop at Pet Smart, but they came in clutch when we ran out of Tiki cat food at home. I ended up calling them before we decided to head over since we live out of town, and the person who answered the phone was very sweet. Customer service at this location is very good. Even had a conversation with one of the staff in store about cat food, which was great! Definitely will come back here in the future if we need cat food and the store where we are is closed!

I booked my dog in for a haircut over the phone and when I arrived to pick him up after the appointment he doesn't seem to have had his haircut. I ask the girl and they said he was given a bath and brush but no haircut. Then offered that he could be booked in for a haircut next month. No apologies for their error and still had to pay $50 for his bath. This is now the second bad experience I have had at this grooming salon and will no longer be taking my dog here.

It has been been hit or miss at this specific location. I have predominantly gone for fish and fish supplies. Fish supplies - have been great and have not had any issues. Fish - about half of them have died. I have learned to not purchase fish from PetSmart on Wednesday when they typically get them in but on the Monday or Tuesday (basically the last days before a new shipment) so that they’ve had a chance to settle and naturally select.

Will NOT be returning for any grooming services! $102 for a dog that still had mats all throughout chest and legs. If the mats could not be removed, then a call to me to ask if shaving the area was an option would have been appreciated. I had specifically asked them to leave my dog's eyelashes only to pick her up to have no eyelashes. For the price I expected to have better service and a better quality grooming. Very disappointed.

Staff are always kind, and as helpful as can be! The environment feels clean and its very open. I do not typically support PetSmart as a business, for many reasons. But with my budget it is a reasonable option. Prices are good, and the Treats Points program is a good perk often. The only issue is the seeming lack of good variety in dog food options in the couple visits I have made. A good location that can make improvements.

This review is just on the FISH SECTION. I can't recommend getting fish from here due to there health status. I've bought over 50 fish from here over the last 10 years and unfortunately only 10% at best seem to survive. My Big Als survival rate is 97% and pet land is 90%. The staff is friendly and hard working but there knowledge is low on the fish. Very nice and Clean place, but I will not be returning for my fish needs.

We have been bringing our St. Bernard Molly here for grooming for about 4 years now and they always do such a great job. They are kind and patient with the pets and really seem to care. The furminator brush they use does a wonderful job, our dog is less shaggy and does not shed much at all after her grooming. In February of 2023 we had her groomed with Christina and she did a super job, I would highly recommend her.

We were looking for a lighter weight harness for my little dog the one I wanted was not available in his size so we picked a different one as the staff explained the return policy which allows the opportunity to try out something and if not suitable you have sixty days to return it as it turns out my dog refused to walk wearing this he just didn't like the color lol he is pretty fussy

We had a debacle involving a delivery being sent to wrong address. I felt the store handled this amazingly and went out of their way to make me feel appreciated as a customer. It is definitely one of the biggest pet stores here at Edmonton or probably the top largest. You can find lots of products here that can be perfect in taking care of your dear pets. I got a few toys for my cats since they often look bored so I need something to play with them. It was nice that even though it was huge, the place does not have that hurried ambiance.

Greeted by staff as soon as I entered and so was my sweet puppy. I could not find what I was looking for and asked the cashier for help. He immediately called for someone on the floor to help me and she took me directly to the product I was looking for. Everyone was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. im 3 hours away from this location but i choose to go here for cosmo cause he always feel at ease and happy after the grooming! i know the groomer treats him right! he got sick grooming from other location so id rather travel here and see him calm and happy! This location is huge! Have many selections and pet smart is my goto place for my kitties! I usually prefer visit one store so i know where is where and save time when i don’t have time! Large selection with friendly staff! Also they do have many sales and promotions which you can save a lot! Sign up for their membership as well!

Amazing customer service. I had to exchange a KONG harness for my Doberman as it had ripped as soon as he pulled once, but I had thrown out the receipt. The friendly cashier did the exchange for me with no problems and I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. Highly recommend

Highly recommend Melayne. I have a dog with a double coat so LOTS of fur and he looked and smelled amazing afterwards, a whole new dog. Definitely would go back again! She even called to let me know she could take Finnegan earlier than his booked appointment time.

Came in the store after coming from the vet - where identical products were sold for much higher compared to purchasing at PetSmart. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about fleas/tick prevention for our dog. The service itself was fast and friendly.

Honestly pretty basic supplies and treats available. Selection is limited. There are way better pet supply stores readily available in Edmonton. I likely won't waste my time stopping here again. I'll drive 5 minutes down the road to Homes Alive Pets.

Grooming salon is amazing here. I have a husky and he’s always fully brushed and dry when I pick him up. Haven’t always had this at other pet smart locations. The gals in the grooming salon really care and know what they’re doing.

Cat section needs a couple things like cat window hammocks and other type of treat that aren’t animal flavoured. Cheese/Milk/Etcetc. Glad Petsmart does adoption!
