Literally told I was not allowed to buy a damn fish because the tank which is 30L was not big enough. How much room does a gold fish need. This has happened more than once. I don't think the staff have studied fish and have no knowledge. What business says no to having an item bought. It's not like I'm going to put the fish in a bird cage. Will not be going back... Also always constantly asked the size of the tank and what fish is where. Mind your business and sell me a fish. If they had their way every fish would be in a 60L tank by themself. Just another store that will close down in Gawler. Edit- As of 2033, this place has only gotten worse. Staff are rude, belittling and STILL ask silly questions. I know you need to ask for the safety of the fish but when I turn around and tell them I have a 150L fish tank and still get death started, it’s appalling. Disgusting attitude and needs a remodelling on staff. Fix your business because your floor staff are ruining it.

Never had an issue here before until today. We've been here before to wash our dog and we've always had polite employees. We've been here half an hour before closing multiple times and never had an issue. Today however we drove the hour+ from home to here to get our dog washed and got there at 3:30pm and when we asked for tokens for the diy dog wash one of the staff came to us and was very rude and dismissive of us, it felt like we were basically being told to "get out" because she wanted to go home. Really ruined it for us, won't be coming back unfortunately. Edit: forgot to add this earlier but it also doesn't state on the website the dog wash shuts half an hour prior to them shutting like this woman said.

Range is sometimes good and sometimes limited, depending on what you came in for, and prices are a bit "hit and miss". You can get some good deals on cat and dog toys often, as well as chicken feed. They sell fish, birds, guinea pigs and rabbits. They also stock animal feed, including chicken. They also sell engraved-while-you-wait dog and cat name tags for around $15. Some people have mentioned service, and I'll mention that I've been in 6-8 times now and I'd say the service is pleasant and standard, although I've not needed advice on anything. Overall, for my needs Pets Domain Gawler has stocked what I need, in a convenient location, with a good range of products and pleasant service.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This is the most unfriendly, unhelpful shop I think I have ever been in! I visited this store yesterday, and after looking around for a good ten mins, I went to the front counter and asked the lady for some help. This lady (had long brown hair, and a fringe), was clearly unimpressed that I had asked for some assistance. She glared at me, as if she had better things to do, than help her customers. I will not, and do not recommend, anyone spend their money here. I ended up spending my well earned money at the One Stop Pet Shop, where the staff were more than happy to help me.

Will not return after being denied service due to not having a eftpos card(card expired new one is on its way). Considering fast food outlets, supermarkets and all other retailers that I have visited since all this covid-19 rubbish started still accept cash, they simply prefer people paying by card. I don't have an issue with the preferred way of paying via card. However to decline a cash sale simply on this basis is noncence and I will not return to or recommend this store. Off to PETstock I go. Customer service has always been better at PETstock anyway Pets domain was just convenient.

This store is a disgrace and should not be allowed to having any living pets. I went in the friday 8th september to find 2 axolotl in with the black moor goldfish which the black moor had proceeded to pick at the axolotl and eat their gills. When I told a staff member what was going on her response was I know but and tired to give me an excuse. No excuse she can give me is good enough reason for the torture of these amphibians. I will never set foot in these stores again and deserves no stars only reason is so i can poet reveiw.

Absolutely ridiculous service. Staff weren't willing to sell my partner any fish as they told us putting turtles in with fish is inhumane. So then offered us feed fish. We are not bad people we are just trying to set up a tank and put fish in with our turtle that is no bigger than a 50 cent piece. I suggest knowing your stuff or not talking at all. If I could give zero stars I would. By the way after your ridiculousness we went to another fish flash and they sold us fish who are now happy in the tank with our turtle.

Purchased a "tuff toy" wihich only lasted 10 minutes with my 7 month old puppy, when I brought it back the two ladies behind the counter didn't want to know who I was. I felt I was interiruting their conversation for the 2nd time in an hour. When I asked to swap my toy for soenthing else I had to explain myself why I wanted to exchange and made it more difficult then it needed to be.. They seemed to be inconvenience d by my custom which was very humiliating and frustrating I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Everytime we go in the gawler store, we are spoken to like children. We just wanted to get a tiny fish in a tank and were told basically no and once again spoken to like we were nothing. Our kids came with us and were excited to get a fish. Rather then give us advice on what we could do to take one home that day they just sat there and said no cant do that, no tanks to small. Just a joke really. Been there 5 times and every time walk away angry. We won't be going back again ever

Love this shop. Have never been given bad advice and have always had great service. Staff knowledgeable and friendly. Your animals are welcomed in on a lead and will get a free ear rub by people who genuinely care about animals... ESPECIALLY dogs and cats and birds and and and !! ! :-) if they don't have what you need in store, then they get it in or source it for you... totally recommend Gawler store! :-)

Went in there looking for something for my aquarium i really needed and they didn't have it in stock so i came back in a week later and they still didn't have it. They need better management to keep the store stock properly as most of the shelves were empty. When i asked the employee she just blamed the supplier and didn't help me with a solution, they need better ways to deal with these problems.

A bit on the expensive side when it comes to accessories and always seems to be out of stock for the smaller size less expensive aquarium water treatment and food supply but always has the largest most expensive size, has at times a good selection of aquarium fish, dog washing facility, become a member and get a discount on pet food only, friendly staff and lots of parking.

It makes me sad to say that since COVID hit, these guys have changed their opening hours and have not gone back. That makes it tough for me to get there. Also, some products have more than doubled in price (I know that is not always within their control). These 2 things are going to force me to shop online more, just to try and keep costs within a reasonable range...

The store is very expensive for dog food. The food i was after was $30 more than another local store. lets not talk about online store pricing. They don't price match. I have found the staff to be rude and cold on several occasions. Shop online and get free delivery or use PetStock, pet stock price match online stores!

The hermit crab enclosure was disgusting. It didn’t have enough sand for them to did in. The shells they had weren’t big enough for them. The little guys were crammed into tiny shells. The enclosure wasn’t warm enough for them either as they are tropical reptiles

We have bought a number of pets and items from pets domain. Like birds worth $125, dog clothing, feeders, bird accessories, adult rats weekly, dog and cat food, so a fair bit of our money has gone through that store,in which im happy to do,

lots of choice, which is great. Nice people when you get talking to them, but at first they might be a little cheerier. service is good though and they are only to happy to assist you with heavier items, which is just good service

Staff are always really helpful. Was in there getting stuff for my dog and mentioned the light on my aquarium was faulty. She looked it up on the system and has ordered me a replacement one under warranty. Awesome!

The aquarium section is useless, not even a single sponge filter, just aqua one overpriced garbage. They certainly can't help anyone who has been in the hobby for more than a few weeks.
