Adelaide's BEST pet, homeware and garden store. Walk in and be delighted by the veritable Aladdin's cave of delights for home, garden and fluffy or finned babies. Stella the macaw who lives at the centre will put on a show for a peanut! Kids and adults alike wander around the well planned aisles in awe...you didn't know you needed it until you find it here! The service is friendly and not overbearing in any way. The homewares are incredible - dolphin, bird, chicken, fairy, dog or adoring rabbit lovers. Worth a trip to Semaphore just for a visit. Inspirational.

I was at the lovely cafe next door which looks out into the garden centre and so decided to have a wander after a coffee. All the plants look amazingly healthy and they have a big range of pots, pet food and homeware type things too. I did feel sad to see the beautiful Eclectus parrot in a cage alone (I feel sad seeing any bird in a cage, even if some species apparently tolerate captivity better than others), especially as he or she was visibly pulling out feathers. A sign on the cage said a vet is helping. Apart from that, it is a lovely garden centre.

I attended this shop yesterday in panic mode in regards to some outdoor goldfish. I went to buy water testing kits ect for an outdoor pond and after giving the staff member a brief description of what my fish were doing they instantly told me what was wrong. They had all the required foods and necessary items to get my fish back to normal health. I was very sceptical at first about going to this shop as I was sure I needed to go to a specialist aquarium shop but now I am extremely glad I visited to this shop. Thank you so much

Staff are talkative and attentive and are very willing to help out with whatever you need. They know their plants and are happy to chat with you and are quick to answer all questions. I bought a beautiful pot that broke due to an unnoticed hairline crack and they were polite and understanding and were happy to let me browse and choose another pot of equal value and were also open to refund if I wasn't satisfied. 10/10 Will definitely make the 40 minute trip here again whenever I feel like new plants or pots. Amazing place.

Love this beautiful community conscious gift store and garden shop with adorable Audrey the alpaca, Stella the mackaw and parrot Miranda along with silky bantam chickens. Such a pretty and tranquil setting to stroll through with terrific variety supporting SA producers. Consistent high standard of warm friendly service from owners and staff who will go out of their way to assist. A delightful semaphore favorite. Attended on Saturday to look for and buy a gift for a friend. We have a long look through the store and saw lots. Store has a large variety of indoor and out door plants, trees, shrubs, flowers and fruit and vegetable seedlings. It has a great variety of statues, pots and other outdoor items If you need food, toys or accessories for your pet you can also buy things here. A couple of customers brought their pets in with them

Have been a few times and every time it is full of people, the staff are always really friendly and will stop and have a chat. All the plants are healthy and well looked after. Has the cutest alpaca out the back too! Also a nice little cafe attached next door that opens up at the back to look out at the nursery, not sure if a joint business but i love it! Such a nice atmosphere in this place. Great job guys.

Semaphore Pets and Garden has all your home decor, pet and garden needs! So much diversity in products, a few animals, and a beautiful garden centre. The staff were lovely to chat to, clearly make the effort to get to know the locals and very friendly and helpful. Even just the Eclectus and Macaw were super cute to come and say hello to! Also has easy free street parking out the front.

Best pet store ever! I rang ahead saying I would be 5minutes after closing and the fabulous staff member said she would stay open for me to pick up some dog food. A fantastic, unique pet and garden shore. The place is packed full of amazing plants to suit every garden. The staff are extremely knowledgeable on all things to do with the garden and pets. They have plenty of amazing gifts and they also have several animal residents including a duck, Macau, parrots and an Alpaca...yes an Alpaca called Audrey.

Great selection of plants, pots, free gift wrapping and super lovely and helpful staff. Bought a plant and a few pots today and the kind shop assistant even brought them outside to me when they were ready (I was there with my baby and he got a little bit upset so I needed to take him outside). Can’t wait to visit again. Highly recommended.

The fighting fish should not be in tiny plastic containers! they need at least 20Litres each which I know isn't easy in a shop but this is not okay. Also the other tanks were well over due for deep cleaning. I work in animal welfare, have many friends who work with animals and have fish of my own. I'm honestly disgusted.

By far one of my favorite places to visit, very unique and eclectic! They have three silkies running around for pest control, an Alpaca to drive sales, and two parrots to greet customers at the door. The staff and animals are very polite and helpful. Gorgeous selection of pottery, garden decor, gifts, and rare plants.

It is always a pleasure to visit the cheerful and beautiful Semaphore Garden Shop. I always come away having learnt something new about gardening as the crew there are so knowledgeable and have always helped me with any questions I might have. I highly recommend visiting their mini zoo too!!

Love this nursery! Variety and good prices and staff who know their stuff... Always ready to offer advice and give you personalised customer service! They source plants that are suitable for the South Australian climate so when you plant them in your garden they will grow!

The owner knows their stuff regarding dog harness and lead set-up. We went in with our rat bag of a Boxer who would rip our arms off with our harness set up, 10 minutes with the owner our Baby Boy walks like an angel with the set up the owner sold us. Thanks again

Lovely pets & gardening shop. Large variety of plants in the back, it’s more like a private garden place. Staffs are knowledgeable and friendly. Any kinds of gardening or pets questions, they are available to help you. Definitely will come back again.

Awesome service for our crazy pup Pilot. He's terrified of his harness, and the staff made fitting him with a new one easy and stress free. Also great advice on dog food... we now have barkers eggs that are easy to pick up off the lawn. Thanks guys.

What a delightful place. Excellent range of plants n pots plus fertilizers potting mix etc. Always well stocked n staff are super helpful. Plants are always in perfect condition n displayed beautifully. My favourite go to nursery.

Great garden store far better than Bunnings great service and a huge range of products they also stock a limited amount of heritage seeds it is well worth the effort to visit this store if you are in the vacinity

Poor fish tank quality and fighters were in the smallest tubs with no filter or heater like they need. The condition was so poor and I’m disgusted in the way they are being treated. It is cruel
