Would highly avoid, especially if you don't have insurance for your pet. Never really had to go before but alone this month during September 2022 spent around £700 just to be told my cat has mysteriously passed away. Around 4th September went to the VET to check up on my cat to say there is a possible infection and went for a follow up next day. AGATA Walega mentioned that they will do the blood test and see if the organs are functioning only for us to get the all clear, gave us antibiotics and was charged roughly around £200 in total. I then noticed my cat still wasn’t right after giving her the meds, took her to KATE Harrison on the 21/09/22 only for her to explain that my cat has infection in one of her lungs and has to clear it out for her to breathe easier, we then on the day had to sign a consent form to fully pay for the procedure beforehand £728 and the rest will be refunded depending on which process they complete. She then called saying they have completed the process of x-ray and cleared the infection and was happy as Larry only 10 minutes later to receive the news our beloved cat has passed. Went there to collect the body ( only to wait 40 mins to add insult to injury). Vets explained the situation but weren’t really convinced as she mentioned “they don’t have proper equipment to (I.e ecg moniters) to determine why she died in a sudden manner". Spent £400 during this debacle, in my opinion they don’t have feelings for the pets only for money to be in their pocket. This Kate Harrison I also to find her to be a bit cold and heartless in the way she talks, as if it’s a casual chat. Would avoid if you love your pet, hope you guys don’t make the same mistakes as us. AVOiD AVOID AVOID

Extremely unhappy with the service here. Our dog went in for a pretty straight forward heart scan. We picked him up after the scan and we made our way home. When we arrived at home it was noticeable that our dog was actually in quite a bit of discomfort and kept trying to lick his side, after having a look it was discovered that while shaving the dogs side to allow for the gel to be applied for the scan our dog was almost butchered. It is understandable that animals might try and move during this procedure but this is so basic, so to think that a trained vet or an nurse couldn’t carry this out properly is something else. Our dog spent the whole evening by our side and didn’t want to eat, It is horrible to think that he might have been treated poorly. No one at the reception desk thought to actually ring and inform us that our dog was ready for collection and that the scan had been finished long ago so he spent the whole day in the practice, probably in pain and frightened. We spent hours trying to call ourselves and kept being hung up on, eventually when my partner got through, she received a serving of attitude on the phone. And what is up with the staff at the front desk getting our insurance paperwork wrong over and over again. The staff are either poorly trained or simply don’t care enough about what they do. We come here out of convenience because it is fairly close to where we live but for things such as procedures we will consider going elsewhere in the future.

One of my concerns about the company is about being honest with their costumers.First time we had a problem was on November 2019.Our dog was loosing hair so we reach the clinic to offer a treatment.The only think they did was to give him antibiotic for 1 week. Months passed and the dog had the same problem. We repeated a treatment with the same treatment for 1 week.On September my dog use to suffer from the same sickness and then they recommend us to do a special examination that you remove part of the skin that cost nearly (£700).Additional with the examination they gave anti biotic for 30 days because they say that is a kind of bacteria that is hard to eliminate.For a short time it was fine until Thursday 18/2.They examined the dog and they gave us medication of antibiotics and steroid without mentioning to us the side effects.The vet also recommend us to do the special treatment again that costs nearly (£700 which we cannot afford to do it again).Today my dog was feeling sick and pee everywhere in the house.The vet never explain the treatment to us and about the the side effects.I don't understand why the dog needs to suffer all this time for a disease that doesn't seem to end and why the vet recommend the special examination.The way i felt is that they just want to take money offering a test that didn't seem to have any result.I would like the company to be more honest with the clients,and explain them about the medication when they give it to them.

Will now never shop at any Oets at Hone stores anywhere. My girlfriend and I are looking to get a rabbit, but as she doesn’t get home from work u til after the stores close we thought I’d take a few pics so we could decide together which one we liked the look of to start our decision making. We’d already been in on two weekends where they had no rabbits at all so we were left with no choice. I went to the store today and as I was taking my first photo I was extremely rudely told I wasn’t allowed to by one of the male staff. He was walking away from me as I questioned why and began to explain why. He interrupted me from the till where other customers were paying and loudly said that I was on private property and it was as simple as that. I called their HQ while in the store as I was take aback by the rudeness and odd stance on photos only to be told after 20 minutes of waiting that that is their blanket policy. I guess they have something to hide, I don’t know. I was also told that despite wasting my time to travel to the store and spend over 20 minutes on the phone that they couldn’t accept my complaint about the rude staff unless I wrote in. I’ve wasted enough time with these people so will take my business elsewhere and highly recommend anyone else to do the same. Very disappointed but from what I’ve read since visiting I’m glad to not be returning. Would give 0 stars if I could.

This is a very handy shop for all your pet needs. The staff are excellent and are always very helpful & welcoming and they put you at ease the moment you arrive in the store, all of the staff have extensive knowledge and experience of everything that they have within their store. This shop covers a lot of choices for many different animals, including dogs, cats, reptiles, tropical fish and have an extensive range of foods for most animals, and medical items that you may need. The aquarium section is well stocked and the staff member I spoke to was very informative and the young lady I spoke with this afternoon was a complete pleasure and very easy to speak with and extremely knowledgeable of what I required for my tropical fish tank. The staff are on hand if you have any questions, they are very helpful and thoughtful to your needs and do not crowd around you as they do in other shops they also have a good knowledge of many different areas in the pet world. They now have a grooming section and a new tropical aquarium section plus many different areas after an extensive refit which makes the shop modern and up to date and it looks fantastic especially the grooming and tropical fish sections.

Unacceptable customer service every-time. We usually go this store to buy tropical fish and every single time the staff in this store is plain rude. Usually they don't even check up on the customers and we need to call them for attention and even if they did they usually take their time or don't even respond to you in a polite way. Today i visited the store to buy some fish and according to the new rule we can't select the colors we want for the fish or change it when they pick it up from the aquarium, we are only allowed to say what we want and pay and leave. How is this even acceptable when we as a customer cant say or select what we want when we are the one spending the money for it. The staff who was there didn't greet and the first thing he said was you can't select the fish you want to buy i will pick it for you and you can wait at the till while i pick it up for you. Which rule stopping these stopping customers who 's paying for the item and can't decide what they want. Please sort your customer service out because its really bad at this store.

One thing I ask is to be honest with the customers!!!! I bought a Hamster a month ago, I felt that I did not want it to feel alone and ended up buying another one asking the staffs if it's a male as I did not want any reproduction. The staff who served me has clearly said that it's a male. But guess what?! Today my second hamster gave birth to 7 tiny babies. I am really disappointed and frustrated as I didn't want this to happen. I cannot pay attention enough to raise 9 hamsters. I don't want to spend more money to buy more cages as it is not MY FAULT. I called the store and at first they told me that I can give the babiest to the store after a month of raising them. However, once I called them back they told me that I actually cannot give the babies to them as there is a long waiting list for that and it can last years. YOU CANNOT SELL ANIMALS LYING TO US AND NOT TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR OWN MISTAKE! I AM REALLY DISAPPOINTED. REALLY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Used to be well run and could get most things but now they've stopped doing some stock in there. Reptile items are very scarce in there now. They're very slow and not well stocked sometimes. We have a snake and there's always problems with getting his mice. Either they don't have any in, or don't have the sizes needed and takes upto 15 minutes to get it. We ask staff for the mice, they ask of we want 6 for the price of 5.....they then go to the back and we're waiting for upto 15 minutes for them to come back and say they don't have any or don't have the size or only have 2 or 3 so offered the deal for nothing really. I do wish we had another closer store but we don't so we have to use that one.

I use Petsathome Beckton for the vets as well as the groom room. Speaking of the staff in particular on reception and admin staff they have been absolutely amazing. My insurance company tried to deny my claim and the receptionist and person responsible for dealing with insurance companies were amazing. They could not help me enough, did as they said they would and called me right back. I also speak highly of the using The Groom Room in particular the young lady who lady who looks after my dog. Resonably priced and also a quality service. My dog is a Chow so not the easiest to groom but always comes back looking fabulous. Well done all, keep up the good work. You are a credit to the company.

We don't do refund or replace here! Their policy "If you are not happy with your purchase we will give you a full refund or replace the item" forget it, its not going to happen. Stay away, go somewhere else. You will save yourself a lot of trouble now and in the future. Customer complaint service, what customer service! Make sure you're 100% happy with purchase before you walk out the store. Wished I had stay away. Only went in to get a gold fish and they won't even refund you when there was a problem. Cost me more in travelling than the fish. The fish eventually died.

I cant recommend it enough!! Ive sent so many friends to this place and they have all thanked me a thousand times. My friend was recently quoted 800 for an xray and 6k for surgery by medivet. She was given a next day appointment despite not been registered and spent less than 300 for all medications and xray at beckton. The difference cant even be compared. Operation was not even necessary. They are also the cheapest for vaccines and neutering. I got my little one neutered recently and recovery was very speedy. Only down side is the long wait 45mins + at every visit.

As a shop it’s pretty standard, has stock mostly. A bit overpriced I think but all good. However the vets 4 pets, I’ve had to bring my pet several times and on average it’s been only average. Care for the pets were good but because of its business ethos. I’m unsure if sometimes what they suggest is in the best interest for the pet or for them. I can’t tell to be sure. But sometimes there are long waits and not we’ll managed but I can also appreciate the staff there working long shifts and dealing with customers are never great day in day out.

They never have anything in stock and when they receive it, they receive like 5 units. Cat food? “Sorry, we are all out!”, Cat litter? Nope! Own brand cat food as this is what we buy?? Never in stock…. I asked the “lost in space” girl pushing a trolley when they will receive cat food, she was looking at me like I was a Donkeycorn hatching an elephant egg in the middle of the store… “Sorry, we don’t get to choose the restock!”Why do you bloody keep this shop open of you can’t stock it I just had enough of this place!

Very nice staff members, wide variety of items for your pets, you can find almost anything. It is big and the staff are extremely friendly regardless of your own attitude. Makes the shopping experience much more enjoyable rather than stressing you out at all. If they make a mistake, they will go through the effort to fix it! A great place, super helpful! Been going here for supplies for a number of years. I love the rodent section and and absolutely love Syrian hamsters. No to anyone purchasing a hamster get the largest cage you could possibly get. Not only will it benefit you, but the Hamster will live a lot longer and be a lot less stressed, trust me on this. Also, get big wheels get big bottles and make sure the critters has several inches of bedding. So get the nig bales. Shop assistant here are friendly and helpful and will help get you what you need

Went here to have a look at their selection of fishes to help us decide what species to buy for my niece's new fish tank. We asked one of the staff in the store for some advice and he was more than willing to talk to us and help us decide which ones would be suitable for our specific tank. I was very impressed with his knowledge and his great attitude, which made the whole experience great. We ended up buying a starter kit to get the tank ready and give it a few days to settle before adding the fish.

Went there few months back when I had a kitten dropped off by a friend who could not take care of the full litter his cat had. Got fantastic help in picking the right food, litter and toys along with plenty of advice on how to deal with a kitten at home. 6 months later, it is my go to place to buy everything for my little one and help is always on hand. In an age where everything is online/minimal staff, it is refreshing to talk to experts in a shop and buy the right items. Thanks Pets@Home!!!

The shop that I will definitely not return to, the shop has a lot to say, the shop has its own rights. The lady who sold animals today is totally unkind to the service, I waited for over 1 hour and heard embarrassing excuses that I can't buy one animal. It is a pity that in other peat stores there is no problem with sales and with a nice service! I do not recommend anyone choosing such a store and I am very disappointed to be in the store. I advise you to consider the selection of employees!

Service is horrible receptionists don't have any responsibility she always disappeared. We come for walk in appointment with horrible sick at after visit to doctor we get directions after one hour feed with special food we ask to pay quickly and just let us go because we need to in rush to take care of sick cat so we are into the queue for payment already 40min and she just walking around all the time it's no more customer only us but she still keep us waiting.... This job is not for her.

Rebecca is amazing , me and my partner went pets at home as usual at our local branch in becton but have been struggling to get into the app for a while. Asked Rebecca for help and she helped us , called customer service for us and gave us advice on our pets . She was utterly amazing and should be promoted or working in a vet!. The groomers were amazing first time visiting them and they were so professional and helpful and really cared for my lovely dog. Will be for sure coming back soon. Also the staff in pets at home were helpful with helping me find products. Not very happy about the vets place as the vet seems to want to rush you out for some reason and didn’t pay a lot of attention and was more interested in getting my dog spayed lol. But apart from that the pet store and groomers were great

Took My Dog for her Groom, Haven’t had any good experience, They haven’t done the job properly( I asked them to cut her hairs from her belly) which has been refused by staff as a breed excuse, Plus Over priced I paid £33 for the same job in Newbury pets at home which cost me £52 in here, I was around 8-10 minutes late to pickup and the staff was rude about that too. So highly Disappointed & Never going back to this store.

I do not recommend it. We went to buy aquarium fish from this store. For the first half an hour we did not find anyone to serve us, after I went to the cashier and said that I wanted to buy fish, the cashier went to look for a colleague to serve us, after another half hour a girl came, whose service I will not comment on. It was important for us that someone was always found to sell us the fish. I would never do this to myself again.

I visited the store with my 2 very young children last week and was a bit lost as I'd never stepped into a pet store before. Mickael was amazingly helpful and guided me without pushing to sell, as I was looking to buy supplies to welcome our new kitten. He also kindly helped me carry the lot to my car, that really made a difference! How amazing would it be if we could experience this level of customer service in every store :)

Without doubt the most unhelpful & rude staff I've ever experienced (with the exception of one member). They seem genuinely put out you are there & want to make sure you know it. Have been there a few times & always come out shaking my head at the place. If the company directors were aware of what goes on at this store, it would be shut down on grounds of their reputation. Go if you must, but would highly recommend avoiding.

I absolutely find it disgusting that this branch has people who do not celebrate this pagan celebration called Christmas and are forced to wear Christmas clothing who are not of the Christian faith. I think it is very disrespectful to ones own religion who doesn't follow those practices. How about you be more diverse and stop spreading homosexuality and start respecting others' religious beliefs and stop giving them labels.

Staff are very good shop is expensive you can get stuff cheaper elsewhere. However, staff do care about your pets. I bought tablets for my dog not many in the tub and lady explained they are good many customers recommend them but look online see if you can get them cheaper. They have vets here i haven't used them but seem always busy. They sell rabbits and fish here too. I like this place as plenty parking outside

I was served by Michael on 26/05/20 who encouraged me to download the app. He went through all of the discounts I could use, and even came around the shop with me to talk me through everything with excellent knowledge about what’s best. I didn’t feel pressured into buying anything I can not fault it. I went in for a lead. I came out with a bag of goods and a better lead than my original choice for doggo. 10//10

Waited in the shop for 45 around the fish tanks, as I asked to get served at the shop they we are closing in 5 min we will not be serving any body now. That just got me angry waited for so long nobody came to us to ask. Then when we asked.... we are closed. Avoid this place they do not care about customer service they just want to go home. Prices are to high go to a independent aquarium fish centre.

Terrible. Only one male staff was nice and doing his best. The rest of them Terrible. One of the cashier was talking continuously with a customer while the queue kept on getting longer and longer, and the other staff barely came to open another till. Waited 40 to 45 minutes to be seen by someone. Absolutely terrible. I have never encountered such lazy and rude staff, except for the male staff.

Even though we had the first appointment booked the store was late opening and staff weren't ready to begin vet appointments. The vet herself was well mannered and answered any questions I had. The shop itself is always clean even when there's been a doggy accident staff are quick to clean it up. Shelves are always well stocked and there are a huge variety of goods for all household pets

They need more staff, the queues on the till are absolutely terrible. Only one staff working the whole store so you wait atleast 30 mins before someone can help you. also the staff that work in the aquarium section need to chill out abit, let people buy whatever fishes they like. Don’t tell them what they can and can’t buy. You get paid minimum wage but act like the fishes are your life.

Always go here to get my fishes. Sometimes just go in for a browse as they have rabbits,hamster etc. Well stocked up and the staff are knowledgeable in their fields. Sometimes you do get short of staffs but it's a busy place so just have to be patients. Bought my fish tank from here and it's over a year or so, fishes don't last so have to come get new ones every now and then.

Very slow service… it takes too long for someone to pick up the phone which can be really frustrating and inconvenient. A designated receptionist may help with that, however it does get busy so it’s understandable. The vets give good advice, they’re respectful and professional.

My first time going here and I was very impressed with the size of the store, friendliness of the staff as well. You can find everything here for your pet from food, toiletry, lots of stuff for pets. I recommend this store for sure.

Good access and well informed staff. Went to buy fish and had to give evidence of the tank I would be using before they would sell me any fish. Excellent animal welfare. A variety of medications, toys, beds and foods for pets.

Got two clicks and collect item been waiting 5-7 minutes at click and collection section nobody no sign I had come n join a really long que what was the point of click n collect only person on tils. Saturday 3pm.

Some of the shop assistants are quite rude. Went in to buy some fish for my aquarium and had to deal with their patronising/condescending behaviour. Very unlike any of the pets at home branches ive ever been to.

Very kind service, team members there are always happy to help! The store is large and spacious with a clear layout, you can always find what you're looking for. There's houndreds of parking spaces outside.

Went to get my cavapoos first puppy groom from the Groom Room staff and they were amazing and friendly! He didn’t miss me one bit while i was gone because they were great with him! Highly recommend!

Very poor customer service. W bought a tank which came with a filter. A month later the filter isn't working properly. The manager then tells me that's how it's supposed to be. Unbelievable.
