    "I had very bad experience about 24 hours emergency at Romford, We have a samoyed puppy so this early morning 19/01/22 at 3 am he started diarrhea and vomiting badly , so we found blood in vomiting and diarrhea so we straight phone to emergency but lady behind the phone she trying make excuses to our enquiry so she said you are registered in waltham abby branch and making excuses after talking to her and i said this is emergency and our puppy registered with pet at home anyway , then she tried make another excuses about we are so busy by surgery and she refer us to coddard Vet which they private surgury and they don't have emergency so I and my wife struggled to find any Vet in that time , because we didn't have this kind of experience, anyway after all we found MEDIVET in Enfield so they give us appointment at 5 am( thanks god someone helped us) Anyway im going to cancel my registration with pet at home , I totally disappointed with their services, This is my experience so wanted to share with other pet lovers, I prefer find some other Vet who's is responsible for their customer and Pets,"

My partners dog was limping so she called her usual branch Enfield which was closed on a Saturday and the answer phone directed her to contact Romford branch which was Pet at Home Emergency Service for the area. She did at about 10.30 am and an appointment was made the same day for 7.30pm. I drove her there 9.8 miles and got there at 18.35 She was told to report in about 7.00pm which she did. The queue in front of her cleared and was told she was second in line to be seen. In the meantime the store doors were reopened about 7.30pm for emergencies and group of 3 clients and pets went in and got seen. Then again the doors were reopened at 8.45 and another 4 clients and pets went in and got seen whilst my partner and her dog still waiting to be seen. I was waiting outside in the car and saw everything.My partner ask if at least the nurse could check the her dog but told she had to wait for the vet. Some of the clients seen didnt even have an appointment! Romford branch seem to only be looking after clients registered at that branch snf not the surrounding closed branches. At 9.00pm my partner walked out not being seen by anyone stressed and cried all the way back to Enfield. What was the point of directing clients there and making an appointment. I wouldn't recommend this company.

This is a GREAT pet shop, the staff are all friendly and know what they're talking about. My only issue is that the experience was somewhat spoiled when I wanted to purchase a pet rodent. We spoke with a member of staff and they let me choose which one I wanted to buy, they then gave me a talk on how to care for the pet correctly which was actually very helpful, however, I had already picked out a cage that, after watching many YT videos and reading up on this particular rodent, I knew would be big enough and only cost £30, the worker said it was too small and said they wouldn't sell me the rodent without purchasing one of their significantly larger cages (around £70-150) as well as urging me to buy 2 rodents). Obviously I was a little annoyed by this and ended up going home without buying the pet at all. (Luckily my grandma still had one of my dad's old cages* that he used for his pet rodents so we managed to get it home and pick up a pet from elsewhere) *(The cage she's in was her temporary cage)

I have been feeding my dogs Step up for a few years, but last year I found a large blue plastic object I'm the puppy food. There was noone to complain to as the complaint line is no longer in use. Then today I find a inch long piece of wood I'm the food.i tried calling hoping now the pandemic has calmed down there should be a customer service team to talk to but NO.The website is useless as it doesn't give a choice to complain via live chat. So tried sending an email and can't submit as the part to press store doesn't work. For a company so big can someone please sort this so there is a way to speak to someone. I will not be given an exchange this time I want it investigated so that no dog invests something that could be harmful to them.

We had a Emergency appointment at pets at home vets in Romford. We had to wait over 2 hours to see vet . The bill was very expensive £112 2 weeks later we received a parking fine for £60. We did not know there was a time limit on parking. As it was a emergency appointment we did not think to look. This is so unfair as it is a animal hospital We did not know we where going to be there that long.and we was not told by the vets there was a time limit they did not even say sorry for the wait we can't afford to pay for the parking fine as we are on minimal wage .Be very careful if you park or go to this vets they will rip you off

I like the Romford Pets At Home. The staff are really friendly. I can imagine it's difficult to remain upbeat when it's obvious that they are always short staffed and probably have to do the jobs of 2 people. The vets upstairs is excellent. Alberto has been our vet for years and he's so nice, but no doubt the other vets are great there too. It's just that we've known him for a long time. My mother buys all of her rabbit food and bedding from there. My only small complaint is that their cat food is expensive compared to the supermarkets. I'm sure they would turn over a lot more if it wasn't £1 or so more per box.

Reception staff are ignorant. Went in today, went up to reception, 3 ladies behind desk 1 serving a customer, 1 working on a book of some sort and 1 working on a computer. Went up to the one working on computer and totally ignored. Went to one writing on the book, totally ignored. If the reception staff are not serving customers then they should either have a sign in front of them saying so or at least have the decency to speak to the person in front of them and explain that they are not serving customers. Unbelievable customer service.

Not happy with service today. I found the manager Wayne very rude. Their was one person serving and a big long line of people waiting to be served, when I asked him if anyone eles could serve he put his hand up, shook his head and walked away. A lady standing in front of me said he always like that. I spend a lot of money in that store, a little bit of manners from the store manager would be appreciated. I felt sorry fir the young man serving, as I normally find the staff in there very nice. But not impressed with the store manager.

I have been sitting here for nearly an hour just waiting to get my cat vaccinated. I am heavily pregnant 35 weeks to be exact. A nurse came out to take my cat to the back but considering I couldn’t go with my pet I asked to wait for a vet. Surely if I had an appointment booked they should have had a room ready. Vaccinations don’t take long they can see I’m heavily pregnant and I’ve gone up to the desk to chase many times. Awful service. No regard for your personal situation. Disappointed to say the least

Even one star is too much for this place! I booked my appointment for health sertificate it takes not more than 5mins I done it before, just to check dogs chip, but I been forced to wait for nearly hour!!! Late to work already! Why they didn’t give me appointment later? They don’t know how long does it takes to do health check/sertificate?Horrible place, even reception lady wasn’t happy when I asked how long I have to wait! I am not asking to do health sertificate for free! I am paying £180 for that!

Staff was very unhelpful on one of my visits and make me to spend almost 30 minutes inside and in the end to leave the shop without the products i choose as they thought is not safe to sell them to me. Same products you can buy online without any questions and some times cheaper, also i don't think cashiers in here are all of them certified vets or vets assistants. Will use this shop only in emergency cases when no time to wait for delivery.

Amazing staff...love it when you can tell that the people working with animals care a lot for them! They have a variety of fish, guinea pigs, hamsters, rabbits and more...they get new animals usually on Wednesdays and the staff are kind and take their time to explain everything about the animals including how to take care of them, feed them etc. Of course you get pet supplies and upstairs they have a veterinarian.

Did Click & Collect but still had to queue with with all other customers for the till to show my order number and then wait at the end of the till for it to be collected. It would have been quicker if I had gone into the store, picked up what I wanted and paid for it. Customers that had come into the store after me had picked up what they wanted, paid for it and left....think I know what I'll do next time....

We visited today buying as brand new puppy parents and got amazing customer service, advice and hand holding. Shout out to Terry who helped us get everything we needed, and shared lots of advice, knowledge and helped reign in our desire in buying 'all the toys'. :) Also to the lady front of shop who helped with VIP app, vouchers and saved us £35! Great service, friendly knowledgeable staff. 100% reccomended.

Alberto (vet) was so helpful and so wonderful in managing our worries. He really put out ragdoll kittens at ease, was really gentle and patient with them. Such a lovely and in-depth consultation. Alberto really made sure to answer all our questions in detail. Previously, we had a vet who rushed the whole conversation so she could get to the next patient. Thank you Alberto

They don't have much food for dogs in store.. I mean something like Proplan gastroenteritis .. that one is very helpful for dogs with stomach problems.. would be very easy just to buy it in store in 2 minutes rather than order it online and waiting 2 3 days to come and your dog meanwhile suffers.. but proplan like everything from Proplan for cats is available in store. Not fair!

This is my local pets at home. Staff are great here. If you have a lot of bags they'll actually call a cab for you. There's been a few occasions where I have bought the large dog food too heavy for me to carry on the bus and they offered to call a cab. Really helpful. You can also get some decent savings if you are a VIP member and it doesn't cost to join.

Our local Beaver colony had a fantastic evening at Pets at Home Romford. Our host Terry was very informative and incredibly patient answering all of the children’s questions (and there were a lot of questions). The children were able to hold a Guinea pig and Terry made them feel comfortable whilst doing so. We all had a brilliant evening. Thank you Terry.

Was waiting patiently in fish section as only 1 person was serving and there was 2 other customers infront of me.. so after almost half a hour some dumb woman worker came over and went to serve a lady who had only just arrived. So i said i was next in line and been here along time. To wich she said "its very busy today" and continued to seve the lady

Very nice pet store, has almost everything, from pet grooming to vet and food, accessories. Loved the rabbits, hamster and fish! Staffs are super friendly and helpful too! They explain everything you need to know prior to purchasing any animal, and also would suggest the specific breed based on your experience and liking. Price is reasonable too!

Hi guys, This location is good for all your pet needs. Located Opposite the Queens Hospital in Romford. The saddest part of brief visit was that they had live animals for sale. Probably looked after and well fed. Check out a little bit slow but not their fault as maybe on the day short staffed. Moving on definitely worth a visit. Happy shopping.

Had to ask some questions about buying a little starter fish tank. Friendly and helpful staff members..told me to sign up to app and got myself 10% off ..very knowledgeable about setting up tank the say before and they go back and buy fish..said about point system and offer on food ..gravel and water test stuff all for £4.99..so more savings.

I took my puppy in for her first vaccinations the vet was very critical stubborn, not friendly towards my puppy, mocking me rather than help guide me on raising my puppy, reception staff were just as patronizing, had an appointment booked but still had to wait 45mins to be seen. Most expensive place for her to get jabbed £48. Horrible.

GROOM ROOM REVIEW .........I love this place they always take great care of my puppy, unlike other groomers I've been too ,the lady knows us by name and always greets us with a warm smile and big cuddles (obvs for the dog) ,very knowledgeable and tbh I wouldn't trust anyone else grooming my Christine HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Had to use this practice because they had instrument to measure my cat's eye pressure. Saw two different vets there, both friendly, very helpful, sorted my cat out. But some of the receptionists a bit stroppy. Can get very busy too, vets took quite a while to see my cat despite a booked appointment. But, very pleased overall

Very busy place, also parking is difficult to park whe you own a big car like 4x4 due to a small spaces. Also, the stuff doesn't know what zebra finches are, they replied, is it a fish ? There is no big bag for these specific birds, only small bags for a big store like this. Waste of time and fuel!

Spent a small fortune of a fish tank and equipment at this store on the basis of how many fish they told us the tank will hold, returned to buy a second fish later only to be told we need a bigger tank. The people here don’t have a clue. Go to wet pets for better knowledge and advice.

Had my dog's teeth cleaned after months of trying to find a vet that could do it for a much more affordable price... half the price! I was booked in within a week by the friendly staff and now my pooch has lovely white teeth! Still has stinky breath though ha ha!

Pets at home is a nice place to shop, but unfortunately it is very expensive. By 'shopping around' I can get all I need cheaper. The only reason I popped in was because I was next door anyway, and checked to see if a particular cat food offed had ended, it had!
