●BAD EXPERIENCE WAS OLDER GENTLEMAN WITH GRAY HAIR. He is aways so negative, unwelcome, angry looking. He made me feel unwelcome,made me waiting for him 20min even other stuff called him 2-3 times on radio - saying he was on way pased me 3x and try to speak to him even put my hand up as in school just looked me and ignore. He is always red face hopefully he is ok- healthy ,no upset of customers or other stuff.He changes what he recommends on multiple occasions. The way he communicate with others will destroy your day(zero customer service just leave me alone I'm busy don't you se go away elsewhere) I understand stress, no time for anything other stuff etc. I managing small team but never seen or experienced something like this. Hopefully he will change attitude or change job as there's no point doing anything in life you don't like for too long. Life is short. ●VERY GOOD EXPERIENCE I have been coming here for years lovely shop and stuff with understanding they have a lot to do re-stock, payments , advising customers, cleaning after animals, deliveries etc. They do what they can. Girls are funny, smiling and welcoming with knowledge . Young guy (I think he's name is Omar)- customers know from faraway . He is different in good way. He has such good relationships with customers they want to deal just with him(from older ladies to kids). He can help you with fish if he isn't busy doing something else.His knowledge is huge. Highly recommending pop in. Keep in mind every Thursday they getting new fish going in to quarantine with medication in wather. That is why they doesn't sell them to you as they may be sick or trauma from transport etc. Also if you come in late hours fish tanks are off - fish sleeps already . Me when I see older gray hair gentleman on shift not even coming in as I have to bite my tongue and try not be him.

I would never recommend this store! As someone who has used it for almost 10 years I am gutted that I have to find another due to the managers outrageous behaviour!! On two occasions The first occasion there was a box of cat food I came to buy which were the only ones left in stock. At the time I didn’t realise they were stuck together on the floor with dog urine until I tried to lift a box. I politely called what appeared to be the manager over for assistance. She said can I help you? Hands on hips, face looking so unbelievably intimidating.. I let her know about the boxes and she replied “everything in here has got wee on” absolutely shocking. And said she’d throw it all away (not even finding a solution).. One of the kind members of staff helped me afterwards. The second occasion was when we had set up a 60L tank for my son and went to buy a fish only to be told the tank was too small for a tiny fish which had the adequate amount of points!! Which I pointed out, to be lied to the manager said that the leaflets and display info was wrong!! Although there were over 20 fish in a much smaller tank that I was going to put 1 fish in!!! I found out they refuse people due to it being a holiday where people have flushed fish down the loo?!! I was gobsmacked by this treatment and promised it would be my last after she humiliated me at the checkout in front of customers emerging and being rude! This lady needs to go, she is so wrong for the type of business that pets at home are. Unsure how she landed a that type of role as she doesn’t have an ounce of customer care within her body. The other member of staff who served me and calmly dealt with the matter on two occasions should be promoted as he is doing her job for her and keeping customers!! I am very upset with my experience and hope that pets at home will take action

Pets at Home Hendon, I would have given this 0 star if I could! 3 days prior, we went here to look into how to set up a tank for a betta fish. The male staff we talked to advised us to set up the tank and have it running for 72 hours with correct temperature then we can put the betta fish in it and so we did. We then came back 3 days later and went 2 hours before the closing time to buy the betta fish and the same male staff immediately turned off the lights on the fish tanks as we were checking the fish we wanted to buy and walked away. We then went to go to the till to ask for assistance but the female staff immediately turned us down saying they had new fishes delivered today and that we can come back the next day as they are currently understaffed. It seemed like they were just unbothered to assist us as there was no one queueing up to pay!!!! She then consulted the male staff only to get turned down again and said we need to put small fishes in the tank first to start an environment for the betta fish and have this for at least 4-5 weeks before we can purchase the betta fish AFTER WE'VE SET UP THE TANK ACCORDING TO HIS ADVISE ON OUR FIRST VISIT. The guy also ask me what's the temperature of my tank and I said 26°. He then told me to get it up it to 27° when the water temperature for the betta fish is between 24 and 27° (as also stated on their leaflet) so my tank's temperature is within the range and considered acceptable. Very rude, misleading and disappointing!!! Avoid going to this branch. Not worth it!!!!

I recently had a terrible experience at the Groom Room, and I feel compelled to share my disappointment. My mother entrusted them with grooming my beloved Pomeranian, and it turned into a complete disaster. Before the appointment, she was very clear about how she wanted my dog groomed, but when she saw the final result, she was in shock. The groomers did a sloppy job with his haircut, leaving uneven patches with no blending or shading. His face remained frizzy and poofy as if it hadn't been touched, and they didn't even bother to trim his tail. To make matters worse, they charged an extra £10 for supposedly reducing his hair's weight, but there was no visible difference. When my mother voiced her concerns, the manager and another staff member reacted in an extremely hostile and disrespectful manner, leaving her in tears. They even threatened to call the police, which was entirely uncalled for. She simply asked them to fix the haircut, but they rudely refused. I strongly advise against taking your dogs to the Groom Room, especially if they have a heavy coat like a Pomeranian. They clearly lack the expertise and professionalism needed to provide a proper grooming service, and the way they treated my mother was completely unacceptable.

Everything is out of stock and its a lottery with the staff as to who can help, and who wants to help. The man with a degree in dog nutrition was useless at recommending any food and told me the one I wanted was out of stock but I found it myself on a different shelf. The manager was doing a good job and some younger staff seem to be but others who seem like they have been doing a pretty poor job for a long time seem to just turn up and leave without much care for what they do. To add to this frustration, many of the products turn out to be very poor quality and that's if you end up paying the price that was actually advertised because everything is in the wrong place if it's even in stock in the first place and offer tickets are very vague and nothing on the shelf turns out to be on offer. I should try another store but this one is most convenient. The worker told me they only get 4 deliveries a week and don't hold anything in the stock room which is part of the problem. I do like their app and offers but this particular store is unfortunately as I mentioned a lottery on what's in stock and what kind of staff are working that day. 2 points to the lovely staff and minus 3 for the inconvenience of shopping there.

I have been treated so bad at pets at home groomers Hendon I could not make an appointment for a groom 2 weeks ago I called to cancel when I called back and left a message every day for Someone to call me back no one did I called the shop to speak to someone who wao not helpful at all he said I had not called to cancel and lost my deposit it seems they all lied together my phone calls did not exist that I made the grooms have cancelled on me before my dog was very ill on that day. I didn’t know if he was gonna make it or not that’s why I didn’t make the appointment I will never use that groomers again and it’s not about the £15 deposit is the way I have been treated think twice about using this groomers if that’s the way they have treated me

UPDATED! Awful customer service! The behaviour of the "manager" was absolutely unacceptable. Calling my husband "mate". Refuses to sell me a hamster at 19:35, because the shop is closing at 20. Why? Is it not the priority for the shop to sell and satisfy its customers? Been there 3 times, and every time I'm waiting for their service roughly 15m, but once they might need to stay to 20:05 they tell me to leave the store. Moreover, the woman behaved like she is talking to her kids, not to customers. No passion for working with customers. Shame for the store! Updated to 3 stars because the store is very well organised, most of the time they have all we need, unfortunately customer service still not great..

Dreadful store. Miserable guy in his 50’s. Think he’s the manager. Will not help when you ask advice. Miserable looking, abrupt, rude and really needs retraining. Young lady on cash desk far more helpful. The older guy, is frankly, ignorant and quite sharp. I was buying gifts for a friends cat. I know nothing about cats so needed advice. He simply points to the area of the store where cat products are. He was abrupt in simply saying “ over there” saw him be equally as rude to an elderly lady. He’s been in store quite some time and the years have not improved his lousy manner or poor attitude. . Store needs a new manager. I do not recommend this store at all.

Recently, we got a puppy and this was the first time when I spent more time in this shop. First and foremost, the shop is pet friendly - because of the nature and industry of the shop, I think this is expected but these days you never know. We needed advice on food, toys, and other things that young dogs may require. The assistant spent with us some time without rushing and explained what we needed to know. Staff is also very friendly to animals, always with snacks ready to make our pets vist more enjoyable :). We got all the information and help we required, and the visit while holding the puppy was as easy as it could be. Thank you!

Really wanted to find out info on buying fish, the staff didn’t take us seriously, suggested sea monkeys instead due to tanks being expensive. We didn’t mention budget or anything as we knew the prices they just assumed we couldn’t afford. Another family came along and the staff member took them to the fish which we were told we couldn’t due to COVID rules& safety. That was annoying as my partner really wanted to leave here with at least a tank to start up & that wasn’t full filled. & the end we got the sea monkeys for £10 only to be told we would need a £18 tank eventually anyways. Quite dissatisfied with the service

Wanted a fish pet for a long time. I wasn’t ready because I felt like there was a lot to learn. Came in to the store a couple of weeks ago, a guy in green shirt with short curly (blonde-brunette) hair helped me out. He took his time to explain to me the majority from fish tanks, to mates and food. He was being very patient with me. I felt so much more confident after the visit. Went home and started straight away with setting up the fish tank, after over a week I came back and got my first corydoras. Best choice ever. Thank you to the guy who helped out, he really knew what he was talking about:)

I came in today to get two gerbils. I waited for who they called “the pet person” to come help me gather the stuff that I needed to make them comfortable. I was expecting him to help me just in case I didn’t chose the correct items, as this is my first time getting a pet of my own, even tho I’ve taken care of rodents before. The conversation lasted 2 minutes in total and the only thing he did was humiliate me and not let me get the pets that I was very excited about. He could have explained there and then but he didn’t make the effort. Very unprofessional.

Staff seems unbothered to help. We came to get information About getting a beta fish and were told by one of the staff that we need to have the tank set up minimum 72 hours but then after 3 days we came back with everything was set up but was told by the same guy that we now need to give it 4 weeks and more small fishes in the tank. Ridiculous. And it seems that the real reason they didn’t want to sell fish to us was because they were understaffed. It took us so long to even find a staff. Avoid this location at all cost.

I was looking forward to a big shop here as I have a new puppy. The staff were reluctant to help and not helpful at all. The cashier was so rude I almost left my basket of shopping and walked out. But I'd spent 40 minutes so didn't want to waste my time. Was planning on using the vet and groomers but will definitely go elsewhere even if they aren't as convenient.

I use this Pets at home on a regular basis, but this afternoon went there to buy some fish's, the the elderly guy who came to serve us was really grumpy & I felt like he was very angry for some reason. In general he was really unfriendly person to deal with. I don't think I would want to go back in the future. Thank you anyway

I was shown everything, at no point did I feel forced to buy anything & on top was given a huge discount via their app. I will definitely be going back. Staff is very helpful. I requested over the phone to keep aside 2 packets of particular cat's food as when I visited last week it wasn't available. They were so polite and gentle, and I didn't pay online, still my cats food was ready at the till and I paid it at the till. Very happy with the help and manners.

My interest is in cat supplies and there is always an excellent selection, which is well organized and easy to navigate through. Checkouts are also efficient. Whenever a queue forms, staff are transferred to tills until the rush is dissipated. I've never had to wait more than a few minutes to checkout.

I have always found the staff at this store so helpful and friendly. Today I went in to buy a few things for my cat and new kitten, the woman on the checkout was very helpful and even showed me how to get 10% off with the VIP app if I registered my other cat. Also the new lay out looks great.

Nowhere better to shop for our dog , a very large selection of everything you need. Very helpful and friendly staff. Vet and grooming facilities as well. Prices are also good a good selection of dog treats, clothing, toys food and accessories. Dog or puppy its really first class.

I will never recommend this place to anyone. I took my 15 year old cat with terminal cancer there in November 22 to be put down, the nurse was unsympathetic, unprofessional and cold. I'm on a waiting list to change vets. Awful experience and service.i feel sorry for the pets.

Absolutely useless vets. My dog was twice misdiagnosed with conjunctivitis when she actually had secondary glaucoma and a bunch of other complications. She ended up losing her eye. She is only 2. If you want good care for your dog do not take them there.
