Easily some of the best fish & calamari I've had in Tassie and that's saying something as I've tested a lot! And for $10 for 5 squid squid rings & 5 flat head fillets all cooked fresh. The burgers looked great as well. It's refreshing to see that for the busy little location they are in Snug, they are not ripping people off either. All prices are very reasonable and friendly staff. Kudos to the owners.

Wow! The new store looks and smells amazing it's had such a refresh from the old store! As soon as I walked in the door the bloke at counter beamed me a massive smile and said hello. When the Koreans owned this shop it was wonderful. Unfortunately some arrogant orc from Queensland is running the shop. I’m a word, the service stinks. So disappointed. What was once a great local shop is now just another interstate corporate nightmare, with zero regard for locals. Only gave one star as I couldn’t give a zero (or minus 5) score.

Saw there wasn't any recent reviews. They didn't have hashbrowns or chips when i went, maybe due to the potato shortage, but the all in one burger is really nice and reasonably priced at only like 11.99 I think, you get two slices of nice bacon, tomato relish, onions, cheese and the burger itself. no photos because i ate it so fast sorry

The new operators at the Snug corner shop are doing brilliant things. It's all smiles and great customer service, fun banter, yummy food. I love sneaking down there for a fresh cooked bacon and egg roll. It's great to see passion for serving our community. Welcome to Snug!!

The flake is actually horrible, it’s out of a box, it’s been cut with a shoe profile cutter and battered, it doesn’t look or taste like flake, stop selling this rubbish, your in a tourist area, if I could give no stars I would, so consider 1 star -10/100 …

Just what it says, friendly store with takeaway, and a lot more. A good spot to get those food items you need, the local papers and a catch up with the locals as you pass each other. Terrific hot chips.

It's decent enough, definitely wouldn't go there every day. Towards the end of the day, the food tends to get worse, indicating it's been sitting there all day.

Lovely local store with very inexpensive and various takeaway menus. Chicken burgers are the best and chips are fried on your order. Friendly staff members.

Brought the kids a box of ice creams got back to the place we were staying to find out that the whole box had melted and been refrozen . Dodgy

Tiny serving sizes asked for a minium chips which everywhere else would feed at least 2 people, but no this is only big enough for a snack

Lovely little traditional corner store... Has most items you might need. Also has hot food and Koren food on certain nights

Just purchased a piece of flake and a drink - the flake was overcooked dry and got thrown out - a horrible experience

Take away food, fish and chips was dry and took forever to get and the oil was old and left a disgusting aftertaste
