We recently completed a 30 day stay at Sunny Oaks RV Park (November/December 2023). Let me first say: one of the quietest parks we've ever stayed in! The grounds were kept incredibly nice, with constant attention to even small details. The lots were of pretty standard size across parks in the area, and plenty of room to park our tow vehicle in front of our motorhome. We didn't try the cable, but everything else - water, sewer, power - was solid all the time. Water was good enough to drink. The staff at the park were very friendly and helped set us up with the ability to receive mail and packages during our stay. Their mailroom was 24x7 access with a door key and very secure - mail was sorted for us as well. They had a very nice/clean laundry facility with e payments (easy to use) that we used a couple of times in addition to our on-board laundry. Access into the park with our big rig was easy and right off the interstate bypass. Plenty of retail and food services close by. They had a food truck in while we were there and a very nice "free to all" holiday dinner with the food truck providing there as well. They allow pets and all of the pets we saw were very well behaved and walked on-leash by their humans. I originally was going to take one star off on location - not something they control - but decided not to because, even though it was in kind of an industrial area, there wasn't any incursion into the park. Worst part was a little interstate noise from that close-by, but that's a trade off with good in/out access. Overall we were very pleased and it is a place we'll definitely use again if in the area. Again, one of the nicest non-chain parks we've ever been in - you can tell they care about their park! Nothing overly fancy, but that's not their gig. It was a great place to live and enjoy a relaxed and quiet environment. If you are staying for a month or a few days, give it a try!

Not a lot of activities close-by but everything Jacksonville had to offer was basically within a 30 minute light traffic drive.

This is not a resort, that said, it is by far the best RV park in the area. It offers excellent value, a great site, is well taken care of, and has excellent customer service. We were here because I needed medical treatment at the Proton Institute and everyone went over and above to accommodate us. The Park is just south of Route 295 on New Kings Road. Look for a white fence. The entrance sign only says “RV Park”, it is not until you turn in that you see the sign “Sunny Oaks”. Parking for registration is adjacent to the office. Customer service is the best you will ever find. The roads in the Park are paved and in good condition but a bit narrow. Just take your time and you’ll have no problems. Currently all sites are back in only. Some sites can be challenging backing in to but with a little patience you’ll make it. I had no issues with my 40-foot rig. Our site – 101 – had just had a new gravel base put down and was dead level. All utilities were convenient to the wet bay. Our site was satellite friendly so there was no shade. Other sites do offer some shade. Spacing between sites was adequate. Our site was peaceful and quiet with no road noise to speak of. The only “ding” is there were a number of feral cats in the area where we stayed which were fed by the permanent residents. So, if you. or a dog you own doesn’t like cats just beware. Park management tries to control the situation but people being people, you get the idea. Our rate reflects a monthly rate with electricity. We would definitely stay here again if we needed a home base in Jacksonville.

My wife, two kids, and I just stayed here for 5 months while here for work. We overall had a great experience staying at Sunny Oaks and I would recommend it for long term or short term stay in the area if you are not looking to pay the higher cost of a “resort style” campground that offers daily activities, pools, etc. Any other “rv park” style place in the area does not compare to the quality of Sunny Oaks. With the park being close to the interstate, you have quick access to stores and restaurants, and also can be at the beach in around 30 minutes. The park is very clean and very well kept. Everyone we met that was also staying long term or worked there was very nice. Our only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 would be the location. I bring it up not as a complaint on the park at all but more so just to be aware that the north side of Jacksonville is simply not the best part of town, and things get a little rough quickly in the neighborhoods that surround the park. That being said, the park is very well lit at night, separated from the main road with a nice tall white fence, and has video surveillance everywhere. We not once felt unsafe or had a problem inside the park. I left for work every morning at 3am and never saw anything that would make me question the safety of leaving my family there alone at night. If you have to head towards the city leaving the park, just stay on the main roads and you will be fine. Thanks Sunny Oaks for being our home for the past 5 months!

Nice park, they are working hard at steadily upgrading the sites and amenities. The park employees are very friendly and helpful. The park is kept very clean. Accessibility for someone in a wheelchair is iffy at best, as the sites are loose gravel with a small concrete patio. The entry/exit is a bit tricky. Getting into the park is not a big problem as long as there is no one else trying to get in or out, because the driveway is very short. And getting out of the park is even more of a trick. To get access to hiway 295 (to go almost anywhere) you will have to cross high speed traffic to a non existent center area with curbs close by to merge into more high speed traffic. And if you turn right out of the park, you have to either drive to a major intersection, or go miles out of your way to make it back to the 295. The park is not near many restaurants or stores and the grocery stores near have limited supply. The worst part of this park was was the road noise. (No kidding) every 4th or fifth car was playing heavy bass music loud enough to shake our trailer. And there is a lot of semi traffic. And the fire trucks and ambulances were speeding by at least 5 times a day using lights and sirens. All in all this park is ok. Just be prepared for tricky entry/exit and a lot of road noise.

We loved our time at SunnyOaks! The owners are genuinely great people who care about their guests. The Park hosts multiple food trucks on scheduled nights, have yard games the guests can borrow, a rec room upstairs above the office that has a movie space, a kitchen, ping pong, weight room and an office! The Park also throws a fun get together for each big holiday. The last one was for Easter and they had an egg hunt for the Littles and a scavenger hunt for the older kids, snow cone machine, a boucy house, a food truck and gift bags for the kidoos. There is also a walking group on Wednesdays which I really enjoyed and miss a lot. The laundry room and bathhouse are I bet ya the cleanest ones you'll find... probably ever. Those ladies deserve a medal! The Camp Host is always available when you need him and is easy to find. He's also super helpful to anyone who's just starting out and needs some advice or needs to borrow a plug. The office ladies are awesome and helpful and the grounds men do a good job at making the place look nice. We met the most amazing people at SunnyOaks during our time there. Some of them became family to us and will be apart of our lives forever. If you're looking for a clean and friendly RV Park, I highly recommend SunnyOaks ❤️

This park is an older park with back in sites but they are plenty big for large rvs and parking for 1 or 2 cars. While there are many long term residents the park is well maintained and not junky and was very quiet at night. Mid Monday morning tree trimmers were out taking down branches that could pose an issue down the road, the grounds were well maintained. The bathrooms were modern and some of the cleanest I've come across. The power is 50 Amp only but they have converters that worked well. It is apparent that owners put money back into the campground to keep it looking nice. Plenty of Restaurants were abt 5 miles away. It was very convenient to both 95 and 295 for overnight and back on highway in the morning or if you wanted to drive to the airport or downtown Jacksonville. There were gazebos and picnic tables and sites were gravel and level. No pool or extra amenities but perfect for us. I think there was a walking trail and small dog park but I didnt use them. Stayed 1 night in class C with 2 dogs. My friends stayed in a class A the same night. Call ahead for reservations because they stay pretty full. Will stay again. Stayed Sun night Dec 2021.

We came down to Jacksonville Fl in March 2019 looking for a long term place and Sunny Oaks was the only place with an opening and large enough site to accommodate us. We were pulling a 42' 5th wheel, 16' cargo trailer and two vehicles. We were in our site for 8 1/2 months and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. It is very quiet at night and they don't put up with any drama. So you have a great night's sleep and never worried about our property. They also have holiday festivals for all ages. Great food, bouncy houses and games. The mangers, Lance and Danielle are so nice and very helpful to all your needs and worries. They are remodeling an old mobile home park. Once they are done it is going to be huge and resort style. New laundry room, paved roads, water features, pool and new play areas for the kids, and a small supply store in the office area are coming soon. Oh did I mention they are a very pet friendly park!! When we come back down we will gladly stay at Sunny Oaks. We loved our accommodations, our neighbors and the staff!!!! Thank you for all your help and welcoming attitude!

Sunny oaks RV park is conveniently located off I-295. We find the park very clean and the grounds very well maintained. The office Manager Patti is always very professional, knowledgeable and helpful. The grounds manager James is always on top of his staff to ensure the grounds are very well kept. The residents here are like a "little family" and have cookouts regularly and look out for one another. Although Sunny oaks does not have a pool or a very big playground for kids they have various activities planned throughout the year and usually they will fit any budget or activities you may want to partake in. Although the lots can seem a bit small they still have some to accommodate almost any size RV, and Patti does her best to get you in the "right spot". We love living here and for the price, well that's just a added on bonus as for this area the price is very reasonable especially in this day of record inflation. I would and do recommend Sunny oaks RV park for anyone looking for a safe, fun and economical place to stay.

I stayed there for a week and 5 stars for the staff, maintenance crew, and the other rv guests. They were all friendly. Laundry room and women's bathroom were very clean. 0 stars for the location. It's on a very loud busy street and I woke up many times throughout the night because of loud semistrucks driving by or people driving by with their speakers on full blast. There is a gas station across the street and sometimes there is so much booming music on full blast from the customers. I went up the road to get some fried seafood through a drive through and didn't feel very safe. the restaurant had security bars on the windows and questionable looking people walking back and forth. The rv spots are very close together. I think it might have been a better experience if we had a spot all the way towards the back with less traffic noise. My kid asked why the brochure looked like the lots were spacious but that they were actually really close together. Their guest mail service was very nice. I was able to have an amazon delivery there.

Stayed from 09/01/2022 - 11/30/2022 Best RV park we’ve been to yet. Incredibly helpful camp host and the owner is awesome! Has very clean bathrooms/showers, Wi-Fi, dog park, workout gym, laundry room is great $1.75 to wash and $1.75 to dry. Monthly Rate may vary but we paid $860. **Update** Was great until they moved us up the road to their Sunny Pines location. Same monthly rate. No showers no restrooms and no water. Very loud noise all the time!!! next to a semi truck company. No discount for losing amenities. Though there was plenty of room for our dog to play there was no drinkable water for us or our pets due to continued water lines breaking. And instead of moving us back to the Sunny Oak sites they basically kicked us out right after we paid them due to “reconstruction” and then they has specific restroom cleaning hours and I’ve been waiting for an hour while this guy cleans the bathroom at 6:32pm knowing that I’ve been waiting he continues to take his sweet time. Very rude for how expensive this rv park has been

We were greeted at the office area by a staff member who escorted us to our space after we checked in and dropped our toad. We had reserved a site on the small pond and we got that plus a nice, new gazebo with a table. The site was long enough to accommodate our 37 ft MH plus parking for the Jeep in front. The owners are doing a good job maintaining this park. There were the usual full timers who could be encouraged to get their act together, but overall a good park to keep in mind for North Jacksonville. It's a little challenging making the left turn to go back to the interstate, but patience pays off. It's only a few hundred yards to the on ramp so it's worth the wait. The turns are easy and there are no low hanging limbs so the London Aire owners don't need to fret. All sites are back in. No pull throughs. We will stay here again.

This place is continuously price gouging their customers because they're building a new lot. The office staff is essentially worthless the two women at the front and they are rude and unprofessional. They also charge you for seven days but they only give you 6. I got there last Thursday and paid for a week and they told me the following Wednesday was our checkout day and then said it's because their 7 days is technically 6. Makes no sense. Practically illegal. If you count Thursday thru Wednesday that is 7 full days meaning checkout should be the Thursday morning. Not sure how they can get away with this but I will be reporting them in more ways than one because it's essentially thievery.

I made reservations in December of 2021 with patty, put a deposit down as well.i spent time with her on the phone going over the site map explaining to her I needed a site that the after noon sun was on the passenger side of our coach. We picked a site and I reserved that site, Patty called me a month ago telling me they were working on my site but it should be done by my arrival time in November 2022, I call November 2 to pay for the month and was told they had moved my site by patty. I asked her about the sun she said she didn't know told me she didn't live there. Well I found a new park that was more accompanying and reserved there. I tried calling Patty back to get my deposit back and she wouldn't answer the phone, I blocked my number and she answered right away. Now I know why it's called Shady Oak . Beware of this park not in a good neighborhood.

Improving by the day. I first came in June 2020. The roads have been paved, there are no mobile homes here anymore, community is quiet. I have forgotten to lock my RV and even left the door open for hours, and forgotten to lock my car. Never an issue. Many places around are a 55+ community (which is illegal btw), but this park is child friendly (kids are also well behaved). This is great for long term RV living without the extra costs due to playgrounds, pools, and more. If you want the lowest price, peace and quiet, and basic amenities this is definitely the place. Front office always responds to my texts, everyone was wonderful. Getting shipped off to another state on short notice so I will be moving, but sad to go. Looking forward to seeing future improvements as this place definitely gets nicer and nicer by the day.

We stayed for 2 nights in late October '22. When registering you are sent a waiver to sign to abide by the park rules. In 20 yrs of RV travel this is the first park I have had to sign a waiver which required DL #, email and phone number. The park had small tight roads and smaller than average spaces. It was a couple blocks from the interstate which was very loud both nights. It is more of a worker park, meaning full time workers living there full time. No cable provided for the $50 per night stay. Would certainly look for a better park if I need to stay in Jax again. The 5th wheel to our rear had kids running inside the trailer all night with loud thumping sound, neighbors were not happy either. Be aware there is a train horn that blasts starting at 4am. So much for "the rules".

Angel and I move to Sunny Oaks after making reservations last April 2020. Spoke to management several times, and they told me up front about the on going construction and what their long term goals are. Laundry room, bath hhouse, play ground for the kids, dog park and fixing up around the pond area for residents to fish. I am a construction manager and truly understand the stress in getting things done. We love it here. Thank you. We love the quiet home environment. If you want a party house that people raise hell all night there are some of those else where. And for those that listen to others and get emotional, the door swings both ways. We love it here, especially with the convenience to all of my job sites. Thank you Sunny Oaks.

Spent three weeks in January. The park is clean and quiet, aside from some construction noise during the day. There are no recreational amenities, but it was a peaceful stay and the staff, from groundskeepers to owners, were some of the friendliest I've ever encountered. We were originally scheduled for two weeks and, halfway through, my Dad went into Hospice and eventually passed. Daniella was awesome, and extended our reservation without a second thought. Bring an extra sewer hose, because the dump fitting is near the front of the site. Otherwise, I have nothing but good things to say about this park. It's not luxury camping, but for the price it's much better than I expected. If we're in the area again, we'll be sure to stop by.

  • Ryan Stockman

Staff is wonderful and help anyway they can. I needed to extend last minute due to an issue with my truck, they were so nice to work with me and allow us to stay until we got our ducks back in a row. The park is always clean and the facilities are nice. The mailroom is very convenient and is one of our favorite things about this park. They have propane on site at a cheaper price than out in town. And the rest of the guests here have been pleasant and respectful. The spots are a bit tighter than other places, we weren't sure how we would like it, however it was never an issue for us and our 40ft 5th wheel. We would definitely come back again.

My husband and I have lived here since October 2018. We've come to know the owners and they're wonderful. Everyone here is so polite and friendly. They have helped me out so much since my husband has been deployed, as I've had a few problems with my motor home. They're always happy to help, always have a smile on their faces and do anything they can to make things better, even helped me look for my cat who came up missing! The park is clean, and there are improvements being made daily. I've enjoyed watching it develop from an already great place to park, to an even better place to live. You can tell this place is really cared for, as well as the tenants. I'm honored to call this place home.

Reservation process was uneventful as my Assistant chose to describe it. Timely communication from Sunny Oaks was crucial and smooth. Stayed here on June 21st, 2023. The local area was a little concern but then again, this was my first visit. Once inside the gate it was a night and day difference. Very well maintained facility. Trees, bushes and flower beds were taken care of. Bath house and other amenities were super clean and all equipments functioning properly. Owner/Manager took pride in their running an established business and it showed. Will stay here again.

We stayed over the week of Christmas. They were very accommodating for us. The camp host was really nice and welcoming despite my griping when I got there as I didn’t want to be as close to the road as we were. But they were fully booked, so we kept our spot (second lot to the left of the office). It wasn’t bad. There was quite a bit of road noise where we were, but it didn’t bother us too much. The price we paid to stay was really good, so I really can’t complain. I felt safe there. It is well lit. They have a dog park. It was everything we needed it to be. We’d definitely return (and hopefully get a spot a little bit deeper into the park ). Thanks Sunny Oaks!

  • VA Perspective

Area is well kept. There is activities offered to residents and food trucks on the premises twice a week. A concern that brings us to make this review is an issue with the rules not being enforced equally throughout all residents. We stayed with some friends and in a week, various “warnings” kept being posted on their RV. As small business owners we understand taking pride in what you own and do, but seeing our friends getting warning letters on things the service personnel and many other residents get away with on a daily basis did get irritating. Two wrongs don’t make one right, but we hope someone sees this review and addresses this double standard problem.

We chose Sunny Oaks because the pictures online look great. And when we showed up, they were better than great. Hospitality and staff that helped us into our site were wonderful. Clean quiet campground. Sites were all graveled and pretty much leveled. I would recommend staying here for anyone and we will return.

My husband and I are traveling nurses and we stayed at Sunny Oaks for about a month. The park is small, spaces are tight but level and have a little concrete pad for your rv steps to land on. The management works hard to keep you informed on park updates and activities. They are also working very hard to make improvements to the park. They invite food trucks to come in periodically and we found that to be a really nice treat! There is a nice laundry room and bathroom to use and both are kept very clean. Overall we recommend this park especially if you are in Jacksonville for work. It’s clean, affordable, and friendly.

Park is very beautiful and quite. Staff there is amazing Everything was nice until a huge limb off a tree fell on my trailer caused quite a bit of damage to our brand new 3 week old trailer. And couldn't believe that the camp host never came to see if anyone was OK or even come talk to me. The guy that helped me cut it off my trailer was very careful about not causing any more damage getting tree off. Don't stay in space 12 or 11 the tree is not safe.

The people here are awesome. Danielle is the best. I called after hours and she called back within minutes. Gave me all the info I needed and set up everything for when I got here. Les was great too. He helped me get everything set up in no time flat. Both were very nice. Cant tell you how appreciative I am for their help. The park itself is very neat clean and quiet. They are doing a lot of work to improve everything. Just might have to stay here for awhile. This is my first RV and the first place I've been too. Things are better than I expected! A lot better!

Lived here for a few months and it has been one of the best RV parks I've stayed in. I had a big corner lot with view to the lake and plenty of space for my vehicles. Their customer service is excellent and they are constantly investing in expanding the park, adding facilities, planting trees and renovating lots to make the experience even better. The first thing that attracted me was their competitive pricing, but I eneded up loving they community and everything they had to offer! Would stay again if I'm in the area. Highly recommend it!

Great experience. Sunny Oak was beautiful.. Love the friendly staff and those we met like Dave who saw we had a flat and came right over offering his power tools and car floor jacket to make changing the tire quick and easy. The pond, gazebo, green cut lawns, and freshly gravel lots added excellent to the appearance of the park. Great location right off 295 leads ti many destinations, I highly recommend it.

Ok, heard/ read a few things about this place... Well here's my experience. The owners were nothing but great. Both were always so great in getting problems fixed and helping out. I showed up late night and the owner came out and helped me park. Then the office made my daughter feel like a princess so much that she wanted to see her everyday! Don't judge a book by a cover. It's worth the price to live/stay here. We moved due to work but I would come back in a heart beat. Thank you sunny oaks for making Jacksonville FL feel like home!

The staff is very nice and helpful . Very clean laundry room ,bathrooms, mail room very clean. The lady at the front desk was the most helpful. We had troubles coming an something went wrong when we was there. This lady was very helpful with everything. The only thing I found to was they was very tight campsites. But I think most of them in fl. Are that way . The road noises is loud that’s not the parks fault. It .is very nice place to stay

We found ourselves stranded in Jacksonville without a campsite on memorial day weekend and called everywhere with no luck. Then got in touch with Hanna at sunny oak rv, explained our situation and she came through. Put us in a nice quiet site in a new area. Also found I didn't bring my adapter from 30 amp to 50 amp, I called her and not only did she loan me one but drove it to me so I could keep getting set up. Beautiful, clean, well maintained property at both locations. Definitely my new go to spot

One of the cleanest RV Parks we have stayed at. As soon as someone pulled out the guys would be over right away to pick up any cigarette butts or any litter, blow leaves off the site and have everything ready for the next guest. The laundry room was spotless and very modern texting you when your cloths were done. We had to extend twice waiting on our mail to arrive and even as full as the park was they accommodated us. Great Park! Great Staff!

I've been here 10 months and and it has been a bumpy ride. Granted they have been doing construction and improvements, there is a compaction of campers and seriously constricting parking. There are no amenities aside from 4&4 washer/drier & a small bathhouse, and they're still increasing rent. The park host, Les, is great getting you in and set up regardless of the weather, and the grounds staff is phenomenal. It is quiet, aside from the highway noise, and most guests are super friendly.

Stayed here twice. Once at the main lot and once a block down the road at the second lot. First stay wasn’t bad. Nice park with nice facilities. Second stay was down the road at the other park. Nowhere near as nice for the same price. Had electrical issues at their breaker box from day one. This continued for two weeks and was given the run around about it being fixed so much that I decided to leave and stay at Flamingo. Have a 2017 Montana and have never had this issue anywhere else.

Had to make last minute reservations outside Jacksonville and we chose Sunny Oaks. We were glad we did. Campground was well maintained and level. The front staff was great, literally walked to our site to help guide us in. The spot was quiet and peaceful. We were backed up to a cute pond. Water pressure was great and power worked. Considered coming back after our failed dealership appointment but decided to continue on in our journey. Thanks Sunny Oaks for the great stay.

Sunny Oaks is a very nice RV Park. Best of all were the people that run it. They couldn’t have been nicer! We stayed for several months in between selling our home in Mississippi and finding a new home here in FL. It really felt like home so much that it was a bit difficult to leave. It is a very clean park. The facilities and grounds were always kept clean and tidy. They were constantly working on improvements and upkeep. You couldn’t go wrong staying at Sunny Oaks.

Very nice RV park less than 10 minutes to shopping, restaurants and downtown Jacksonville. We were there a month while I had chemotherapy in Jacksonville. Park is very clean, quiet and neighbor campers are all friendly. It’s very close to the interstate which is so convenient and we didn’t hear any road noise at all. We will definitely return if we are in the area. We highly recommend.

Lovely spot right off the highway with some really convenient accommodations. The staff is very friendly and the park/facilities are clean and well kept. There is a dog park, laundry/bathhouse (including some really nice outdoor showers), kids play equipment, and a small meeting area. There is even a propane fill up station on the property. Great spot for short term stays but they also offer long term. Continuously being upgraded with different improvements.

Sunny Oaks is a great place. If you are headed to Jacksonville area this is the right place where you are going to be very welcome and treated like family. I stayed here for 2 month and i really enjoyed my time. It is safe and peaceful and family oriented park. Right now the park is being remodeled which mean they take good care of it and keep it beautiful and very attractive for us RVs. Thanks to Danielle and Lance for being so nice, kind and helpful.

Make sure to get a spot further into the park because if you are on the edge you will never get sleep due to the trucks! Shady part of town but you can tell they are trying their best to make it into a diamond but a lot of long stays so no sense of vacationing but great for a one night stay.

Great rv park. Don't let the surrounding neighborhood fool you. The staff and owners Scott & Hannah are absolutely amazing! The ground staff are constantly keeping up with the look of the park making it very clean. We stayed there monthly for over 6 months and had a blast. They certainly make it feel like home. Would recommend to anyone in the North Jacksonville area. We will be back for sure if ever in that area again!

I needed an overnight in the Jacksonville area and i am glad i selected Sunny Oaks. After a long drive up 95 i arrived after dark. I was told to text the manager after arriving and she sent her Host to help me to my site. Les was a great help. He was super friendly, showed me to a site and guided me as i backed into the site. The camp grounds are nicely shade as i like. I would definitely recomend staying here.

We had an accident on I 10 and needed a place to stay while our truck was repaired. We were lucky Sunny Oaks had a site for us and was able to move sites around when the repairs took longer than we expected. The nightly rental price is good, the laundry room was clean & fairly priced, park is well maintained, dog friendly with a small dog park and the staff as well as fellow campers were very helpful.

We stayed a couple nights, traveling back to Florida from Iowa. Site 137 is very nice. Check in was fast and easy. Many full timers in the park but park itself is very nice. We received texts on the food truck for the evening and free veggies in the mail room. I see some grumpy folks passed through recently. Don’t let their mood detour you! It’s a nice place!

Our two week stay was excellent. The park is quiet and beautiful. We were greeted by staff and shown our accommodations where all our questions were addressed. The facilities are clean. Staff were always working and making improvements. We were notified of a water issue that included a estimate time of completion. Thursday is food truck day.... IT IS A MUST... We will be staying again.....

We were put in lot 2, not main lot as we were told we would be without notice. Horrible doesn't begin to describe the lots. Pine needles everywhere, concrete slabs covered in pine needles and was cracked and broken. Picnic table unusable. Old hoses and trash on lot. Stickers everywhere. If you are changing a reservation, let the customer know so we can cancel without being charged. Beware!

  • Brooks Wood

I was at Sunny Oaks for a few months and loved every minute!!! The grounds are well kept and the trees are very nice and give some nice shade so the RV stays cooler than other parks that are just on concrete. But the best part was the owners! They are so nice, so accommodating, very quick to help and answer any questions. 10/10 would absolutely recommend and will definitely be back!

  • Bernard Wesley

I stayed there for a week a year ago and it was nice. This time, it was even better! They've done a lot of work improving the Campground and it really shows. It is a beautiful, well lit and secure place to stay. I will definitely go back and highly recommend this place to anyone coming to Jacksonville. And did I say the owners and staff are awesome!!! They truly are...thanks guys!

  • Bernadette Burd

This park is a little hidden gem. The staff at this park are wonderful and the improvements are beautiful. The laundry facility is immaculate. Every day I can see the staff getting things done to make this park better and better. Thank you for all of your hard work. Your Park is beautiful. Don't expect a big resort type Park here. But what they do have is wonderful

Wonderful place to stay. Many people stay here for a long times. Every one was very friendly. They have food trucks, a portable water slide, and many other activities. My great grands love coming here to visit me. They always try to accommodate us.

Clean rv park. Electricity was included. Clean laundry and shower facilites. Considering the area seemed a little unsafe the park felt very safe. They even have a mail room which came in very handy for all of my Amazon deliveries. Very pleasant 6.5 month stay.

Its a nice place for the money. You don't have a pool or lake like the big resorts. There are shady spots to block some of the summer sun which is nice. Laundry Room and Bath house is nice and clean. They are doing a lot of improvements for the RV pads and grass area. Sits are level. Good water pressure. I would stay here again.

The staff is VERY friendly and welcoming! It's October and their office is decorated for Halloween. It's clearly obvious, this RV park and it's staff are willing to make sure their visitors are happy. We've been travelling for 6 weeks and have stayed at over 15 RV parks. This was the first time we have felt a genuine welcome.

  • Clifford Fowler

Absolutely one of the best RV sites we’ve stayed in. Great hosts, clean, well maintained grounds! We were just there one night but with our site next to the pond we could have stayed longer.

The staff here went the extra mile to get me a RV spot for a extended stay although I didn’t have a reservation. They juggled things around and treated me like a welcomed friend. Rates are fair and the grounds are very well cared for. Super clean common areas like laundry room. Great location. Right next to I-295.

The park is clean and convenient to major roads. Friendly people and lots of fur babies running around too. The hosts are helpful and responsive. Food trucks and events happening all the time. We enjoyed our extended stay very much.

Nice place to park our 5th wheel for 3-weeks. The grounds are well kept and the staff are friendly. Many of the sites are close together, but the very reasonable price compensates for that. Some noise from the nearby train tracks and roads, but you get used to it. We'll be back next time we are in town.

We were pleased to find a GoodSam park in NEFlorida, very well maintained park well kept amenities we will use this park again when visiting JAX. All of our activities were on the south end of Jacksonville this park is on the extreme NW area of JACKSONVILLE

The best campground I have visited so far. It has a very friendly community. The owners are great people, they attend to any concerns immediately. They are continuously working to make the campground safer and beautiful. The office and staff are very helpful and polite. This place is like family.

Sunny Oaks has been an absolute delight. We stayed for 9 months and met many wonderful people. The park is family oriented, and we shared many cookouts and laughs... Renovations were ongoing throughout but management always communicated well. Overall very impressed! Sunny Oaks will be missed

  • Shawn Hungate

The positive changes have been continuous in the year that we have been here. Lots of great trees, a nice laundry room and bath house. Ownership is always available and receptive to requests and suggestions. We've made some great friends here and would highly suggest it to long-termers.

Lovely spot right off the highway, it is in a prime location for people who are traveling. Very cheap and convenient. I've seen some big rigs, in here easy parking. They offer wifi laundry they have a mail room as well as vending machines a little store. People are super friendly.

I haven't had very good experience since I check in a day ago. I've been yelled at twice by the maintenance person. The front desk Sherri has been very disrespectful to me and my family.

We had a really good stay here, quiet & super friendly neighbors. We were on lot 117, for a 3 night stay. My boyfriend did Tough Mudder over in Jacksonville, and we will definitely stay at Sunny Oaks if we are ever back in the area. Highly Recommend!

This place was nice. Super clean Lenny the camp host is very cool and helpful parking. Remodeled recently and the annual people living there were nice. We felt safe for one night and to let our cats out to play was nice after a long drive.

Clean park. Felt safe here. Well maintained. Grounds/maintenance guy, Frank made us feel like family. Owners are super nice. 4 stars because it doesn't have a bath house but they have plans to make improvements. Would stay here again.

Very nice park located right next to I-295 but surprisingly very quite. Clean and well manicured. We only stayed 2 nights so we didn't use any of the amenities. It was very full of long term campers with a few open spots available.

This is a good stop over. The maintenance done in the park is great. I felt the area wasn’t the best. No security caused a homeless man to dirty up the bathroom. I didn’t feel safe.
