I had the most pleasant experience talking to Fagma over the telephone about a week ago, I needed to find a book for my daughter and she gave me excellent customer service over the phone and also arrange a book via there Parow branch for me. I live out in Parow 5 minutes away from the Parow branch but they didn't have the book by daughter needed, again Fagma was very helpful and I had no problem coming from Parow to collect the Book from the Rondebosch branch and meeting Fagma in person was even more exceptional, I myself is in customer service and Fagma is a real asset to Van Schaik Bookstore/ Company. Most of the staff at the Rondebosch branch has been there for many years,Fagma herself being there for over 30yrs and another staff member I think her name was Fatima over 40 yrs. Imagine all those years of providing excellent customer service,and they pride themselves in what they do. Well done I'll definitely come out of Parow again. Regards Victor

I had hoped that this store would cary more ranges of text books relating to teaching English as a Foreign Language, but they only carry the one for a language school in CT. Having said that I received excellent service from this branch, particularly Sharifa who went out of her way to get my questions answered. As a result, I bought the books from this bookshop even though it wasn't my preferred range. The service determined the sale, thank you for all your help!

VERY PROFESSIONAL. I phoned to enquire about a text book. The clerk/ assistant who took the call was do professional. Painlessly took down the details of the book and the next day I picked it up. Store has a good layout. It's clean. Parking is a bit of a problem (as the store is situated on a very busy road), but their service is awesome.

I went to buy a study guide for my child but they did not have stock at Rondebosch branch.They checked for me online and they found it in the Parow branch. They saved me a trip to go to Parow and order from the Parow branch to be delivered in Rondebosch....so in two days time I had the book I was looking for.

This book store is conveniently next to campus, although I've found the books are a tad more expensive than the bookstore on upper campus. Also, they are frequently out of stock. Still, it is sometimes good to check here, as they may have stock when the bookstore on upper is out.

Great service, I found almost all my textbooks for university here, it is well labeled so it was easy to find my section. The book they didn't have, they phoned another branch to keep it aside for me (a little expensive to have it shipped between shops).

Has any high school/university textbook that is required. Books can be ordered too. They also stock stationary. However, prices can be much higher than other bookstores for some reason. I have found other stores to be cheaper.

Staff are quite unfriendly. No hellos, can I help you, or anything. There were at least 4 people on duty. The only person who aknowledged my presence was the security lady. Made sure I spent nothing there.

The textbooks I need are usually out of stock. The prices are expensive compared to Loot and Takealot. Sometimes there's no cashier at the till so you have to wait for a while before you can pay.

The guy who assisted me had no courtesy at all. He didn't even give me a plastic bag b4 he ran off. I had to ask the other cashier lady who was more friendly and actually seemed to love her job.
