Violet Crown is not as cracked up as advertised. The seats and theater itself is above mid, but pretty mid. Great location. The reason I gave two stars is because my food I ordered was never prepared. My twin brother and I visited this theater from out of town. He ordered a pizza and the crown tots. I ordered just the crown tots. Both of our pagers never went off to PICK UP the food. Yeah, they don't serve it to you. How ridiculous. You have to get out of the movie to PICK UP the food. So I leave movie to check on my order. These guys never even made it. The staff was helpful to get it replaced, and John was nice enough to help out. But I am currently waiting on my food and missing 15+ min of my movie. As I type, I am still waiting. Update: food just came out. They got thr order wrong and I'm too annoyed to do anything about it. Advice: go to Alamo or movie tavern. These guys are new and still need to work out alot of kinks. Save the trouble, go to any other movie theater.

So I went to a movie at 4:50 pm tonight and there was literally no air in the movie theatre. I was burning up. It was so hot. Also, it was a $15 movie ticket but it felt like I went to a dollar movie theatre. The bathrooms were filthy, you had to go up two flights of stairs (escalator was broken). It just felt very expensive for a cheap experience. I’ll never go again. Just trying to warn others

Nice theatre. It was small and clean. The bathrooms were really clean. You must buy tickets from a kiosk. No problem. When it’s time to put in your card it asks for a tip! I didn’t receive any service. There’s not even a greeter at the door to help people who may have questions or need assistance with kiosk. Minus a star for the audacity.

I had a great time! Staff was very nice and even answered the phone when I called lost about finding parking or where to park. I will be back and recommend this theater to anyone. Comfy adjustable seats , dim lighting (which I was observing for, I hate light being in my eyes while watching a movie)

For the price, just go to Alamo Drafthouse. It's better. Better screen, better sound, better seating, better service, better food, etc. It is only $1.75 more to get better everything after all fees and taxes compared to here. I only gave it 3 stars for a convenient location to Uptown and Oak Lawn.

Nice. Mostly because not many people know or come here. We were the only people in the theater at one showing. There is an escalator and elevator to get upstairs. The pizza is tots, fries, and queso are all good. Salad options and flavored popcorn have been removed from the menu.

Excellent seating and concessions. The projector had heating problems that forced us to be moved to a different screen. And to top off the evening, the men's restrooms flooded. But they were determined that we would see the entire film, and they succeeded. Kudos for that.

This place is cozy and very modern. The manager and staff are genuinely nice. Brit the manager help me out at concessions and went out of her way to help me in every way she could. I will definitely come again and I recommended 100 percent. I’ll be back soon ❤️❤️❤️

Theater is great. Sound should be louder. Popcorn was tasty. Edit: Its come to my attention that the sound issue was a problem with the movie not the theater. However I've come to find that Buncha Crunch is no longer being served which is a disappointment.

This is my new go to theater. Every other theater is gross and expensive. This is the nicest and cleanest place in Dallas. Super good food options and the bar is really nice. Highly recommend this one vs any others in the downtown Dallas area …

The facilities are fine; however, there are NEVER enough people working at the snack bar. Loooong lines that take forever. Very annoying. I keep telling myself to stop going there because I'm always annoyed with the lines, but I forget and go again.

Nice movie theater experience. The theaters aren't huge but they have a good collection of mainstream and limited releases. It wasn't hard to get into the theater and there was a decent selection of concessions at relatively fair market prices

Great seating, good screens and sound and for an extremely good price! Super convenient location as well. Got my food order wrong but I didnt go for the that so no biggie for me. Will definitely be visiting this theater more often.

They played the wrong movie for 30 minutes and then I sat in the dark for 10 minutes waiting for them to change it. They weren’t in a rush. I had to ask twice if someone could help me. Concessions were overpriced tbh.

My partner and I attended a special screening here. It’s a clean, well-maintained theater with very comfortable seating. The concession prices are high, but that’s not a surprise given the theater’s location.

I really liked the theater, the full bar was really nice, and stylish. The theater seating was so nice, they fully reclined. The place was clean, and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Great weather to watch current movies without the crowth of big movie theaters. Sitting is very comfortable and you can have your drink of preference to watch the movie.
