The vibe: for us staying at Pullman on Swanston, 215 Queens Restaurants is located on Queens Street to the right after crossing Little Burke Street They're open from 5pm till 3am every day while serving a range of standard Italian food and steak options alongside some wines beers and cocktails and a few soft drinks! The space looks a little in need of renovations but the led lights add a cool vibe to the small restaurant. The menu is quite basic but easy to read and choose from and not too overwhelming. Was a little disappointed that the fresh made pasta wasn’t being served at the time we visited. This may not be a normal issue. Was also a little concerned and felt like our reservation wasn’t taken into consideration as we had a reservation but when we arrived they didn’t have the table ready for our reservation and ultimately a couple noticed the issue and offered move to a smaller table to solve the restaurants problem mixing up our reservation of 3, so this was a little disorganised and would recommend that they cater to their reservations better and have a little priority to this department of owning or management of a restaurant. So once the couple left the table out table wasn’t wiped clean (covid conscious should be a priory still especially for Melbourne) we finally received table water which we served ourselves and finally received napkin with fork and knife which we also had to set up ourselves. What we ordered: • 1 x salami pizza • 2 x fettuccine creamy chicken pesto pasta • 1 x virgin mojito (random not on menu) • 1 x fruity Mocktail (random not on menu) • 1 x coke Total cost $99.50 a little overpriced for the quality. Describe food: the pizza was okay but very oily and the base was dry. The 2 chicken pesto pasta weren’t consistent, mine was more creamier then my nieces and her had more pesto then cream… odd. But it was a lovely taste but would have been much better with real pasta . The virgin mojitos was awful. Nothing like a virgin mojitos, the mint was hard and Old and just gross, absolutely no cocktail/Mocktail skills effort with that drink. Service: the waitress was lovely and accommodating, very good customer service skills for someone in hospitality. I was part of a large group and we were the only diners in the restaurant on a Saturday night. This enough should have been alarm bells. Having read through the recent reviews, it seems the restaurant has recently gone downhill. There was only one staff member working the floor the whole time. I understand times are tough, but this causes a vicious circle of leading to poor service and attentiveness managing third party delivery services and in house diners for one person. I do wonder if this staff member was also assisting in the kitchen too? We had to call for service each time. Our orders were majority grouped together, rather than one drink here and there. When the staff member said they'd return 10 mins later to take orders, we'd be waiting at least 20. The time for drinks/food to arrive after ordering, for the most party was reasonable given the booking number, but still on the lengthy side. My parma was good value, but I certainly felt some meals didn't meet the mark for flavour/portion size. I don't want to see any venue fail, but what I witnessed is not promising. The city was certainly bustling with many options. If I were you, I'd consider the feedback seriously.

This is by far NOT the best Italian restaurant in Melbourne. In fact, the only Italian thing are the items on the menu. 1. Italian beer was not available 2. I felt like walking into a nightclub - music was blasting out of the speakers 3. Apart from the restaurant being almost empty, I got seated at a dirty table. Now, regarding the food: Until last week, I did not know, that you can get/buy squid rings made ‘McNugget’ style. It was the most disgusting thing I’ve eaten in a while and in fact - did not finish it. I would give 0 stars if I could. The best Italian restaurant should know and do better… Arancini were cold in the centre but had somewhat of a flavour to them. But again, I assume they were not freshly made. The best food I had, was actually the gnocchi. Too salty and portion size was too small for the price in my opinion. Would not recommend. Better dining options within a 100 meter radius for sure.

I wish I'd taken a photos. We were the only ones in the restaurant and our drinks still took around 15 minutes. Ordered the bruschetta and it was drenched in vinegar. Ordered the chicken pesto pasta. First piece was chewy so I cut open and checked all the pieces of chicken. Every single piece was bright pink. I sent it back and the waitress apologized. It came out a second time and same thing. I showed the waitress again who said something along the lines of "okay what do you want me to do?" ... I was shocked and decided not to have anything. She apologized and took it away. I had to request it be removed from our bill as we paid. We got a discount, but a discount does not undo serving pink chicken TWICE and a very average experience otherwise. Please improve your service and food safety. We were really excited to try your restaurant but we were devastated.

Either we turned up on a bad night or the reviews of this place are fake. Rocked up just after 6pm one person was working, place looked like they were not ready for customers. Seating and tables were cramped in. Not welcoming. Ordered drinks, you would think that two cokes would be hard to stuff up! Anyways, both were flat and warm. We'd expect that from a tap pour but they were poured from a bottle, so goodness knows how long it was sitting there. Now the food, chicken wings which didn't taste fresh but were edible. The fettuccini bolognese was average at best, nothing to call out. Prawn risotto was below average, rice and cream mush with four small prawns, they were not tiger prawns. Didn't finish it. Head elsewhere there are heaps of better places around which are better value for money and way better food.

Overpriced, low quality 'pub' food in a dingy, unrenovated pizza shop – definitely not an "Italian restaurant & bar with good food and good vibes". Staff were stingy and unwelcoming. One of the staff members had a nasty cough too. Calamari was straight from the freezer; the crumb had zero flavour. They didn't even provide enough tartare sauce. The Mexican Chicken Parmigiana had only 4x tiny pieces of pepperoni, a small piece of ham plopped in the middle, and tasteless 'Napoli' sauce (it was so bland, I had to resort to spreading tomato sauce on it). The salad was drowning in creamy dressing; it was impossible to eat. The chips were freezer to fryer as well. Their Uber Eats menu photos look totally different. The numerous glowing reviews (notably with no photos) are clearly inauthentic. Even at 50% off via TheFork Festival, this was a rip off. At least the water was filtered.

WARNING: Do not order delivery through DoorDash!!! Ordered at 3:30pm. Ended up calling DoorDash directly at 4:50pm because there was no sign of the food. Because the restaurant lists itself as direct to customer, you cannot simply request a refund on the DoorDash app. You must call them directly for status updates. Attempted to call the restaurant twice with no response and the DoorDash customer rep had the same experience! Luckily they were able to refund on their end due to the lack of response! There was barely any pasta on my plate, just that green sauce. Took 40 minutes for the most atrocious bruschetta and more than an hour for our pasta to come while there was barely any customers at the restaurant. All 4 of us refused to eat the food as it was THAT bad. Might look good in photos but I guarantee you it will be the worst meal you’ll ever have. Pretty disappointed. Good reviews online, but it took an hour to get our first round of drinks (which were in suspiciously varying quality and dirty glassware), pizza was very oily and on thick mass produced bases. Wedges were all broken up and crispy outer cases with no potato, which meant they were shattered in the freezer, and not checked for quality. Pasta took an extra 30 mins to come out for the same table. They brought us the wrong number of drinks and meals. Tables were really scratched and did not look clean. Big finger marks all over the windows. Soap sitting on top of the plumbing pipes in the bathroom. Everything just looked rickety, dirty, low quality and the service was not much better. Will not go again.

Lol seems too many fake reviews are posted here. We ordered the following late at night: veg pizza, penne arrabiata and garlic bread with cheese, which should be some of the easiest italian diehes to be prepared. It was the worst pasta and pizza that I have ever eaten in my entire life. The pizza base sauce was prepared out of my pasta sauce that we ordered and unfortunately it doesn't tast good at all so we ended up throwing both dishes and eaten chocolates and crisps that we bought from a nearby grocery store.

Me and 2 other family members visited Queens Resturant. Our fist impressions were mixed, some of the menu items were a bit UNQIUE, like the kimchi pizza,they had neon signs out the front which attracted us. When we walked in we were greeted by a young gentleman who sat us right down and gave us water. We got a chicken schnitzel that was a bit raw, the pasta wasn't the actual pasta we ordered but tasted good, and my wedges were lovely seasoned. Hope this helped

If you're feeling hungry at 3 am on a weekday, this is the place to go! Their kitchen is open to 4 am daily which is almost unheard of by Melbourne standards! The staff were so lovely and kind. Terrible service and food was somehow worse. Cute little spot in the heart of the CBD. They have only been open for a month so we decided to give the new kid on the block some support. Ordered entrées to share and a main dish each - the Mexican Parma was absolutely delicious and I quite liked the seafood fettuccine as well. They currently have a Peroni beer special - first bottle for $9 and every bottle after that for only $6. Overall a very nice meal and portion sizes were pretty big too. Thank you for the lovely food and hospitality.

We were in Melbourne for the weekend just happened to walk past this place and decided to try it out. Was not disappointed the food was lovely cooked well and very tasty. Service was quite quick. No complaints enjoyed it thoroughly. Will definitely come again when next in Melbourne.

The only good thing that I can say about this place was the chips and even those were a bit mediocre. The server was on the phone while the food sat on counter and we were the only ones there. Pizza bases and sauce felt like they were frozen then cooked, toppings were ok (stay far away from the pepperoni). We got our food at half price (through a booking website) and even with that I’d never go back here.

I discover this place by chance and I'm not disappointed, the setting is warm and friendly and the staff are welcoming ! The "must try" dish is definitely the kimchi pizza, which is a very surprising mix, but very good, I really loved it. I particularly recommend the matcha milkshake, which is very tasty. Came here twice for the events. First time waited over an hour to get in! Second time door staff didn't even let us join the queue because it was past the last entry time but I literally watched them let all the girls in front of us in (more than 20) and we were only 5 minutes late! The crowd, vibe, food and cocktails were amazing but just because of how we were treated during the events I will never visit here again!!

Delicious food. Really nice pizzas. The dip for pizza crusts was special, I hadn't seen that before and it made the crusts exciting and even more tasty than the pizza. Friendly staff, fast service, accommodated our large group easily. Great location in the city. They also have a buffet and party hall upstairs.

Worst Uber eats I’ve ever had to deal with. Phone line is disconnected. I can’t even cancel my order. It’s been 40 minutes past the delivery time and I can’t even cancel it. No tracking either. I will be definitely getting a refund.

The food was REALLY good, especially for its price! We went on Monday, and it was great portions, service and the good vibes. It’s open till late too, so it’s a good late night stop or midnight dinner place for date night!
