My friends and I recently visited Aahar Restaurant during our trip to Hanoi and we had a fantastic experience! As Indians, we were looking for some authentic Indian food and we were not disappointed. The restaurant had a great selection of dishes from various parts of India and everything we tried was delicious - from the flavorful biryanis to the spicy curries and the crispy naans. The portions were generous and the prices were very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food. The service was also excellent, with the staff being very attentive and accommodating to our needs. The restaurant had a cozy and inviting atmosphere and we felt right at home. Overall, we had a great time at Aahar Restaurant and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for some authentic Indian food in Hanoi. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience

Vietam is very very hot and Humid in summer. The restaurant had close to no aircon . There was one small aircon which was not working Tables were dirty, there was no staff to take orders. Since we were tourist and had come from a far away loaction in vietnam and needed indian food we waited and someone helped us to set up an air cooler but then we realized the tables were dirty. We wanted to wash hands the wash room was messed up had to cross kitchen to go to the washroom and in the heat of Vietnam it was like a oven not suitable for any one to work in that kitchen We had to eat since we were tired ..we requested the table cloth to ne removed . And our order arrived. Food tasted not good we askes for achari paneer and the chef literally put some pickle in the paneer masala and make it very very sour ! Do not waste your time and go to this place.

It was real bad experience. The staff was rude and doesn't understand either hindi or English, they'll nod to any of your questions " yes yes " and do what they have to do. The food was average with chullu-bhar quantity, despite ordering the size - L. I wonder what Medium or small meal would be like. And now the cherry on the cake, the price, it's unworthily expensive. We have two times, and a good meal in india for what I payed here for a mediocre meal. All in all, there's nothing Indian about it really, except for the Sanskrit name - Aahar. There are better restaurants in the vicinity than this unchi dukaan. Better visit, pk spice, hilltop restaurant(formerly known as Himalaya Indian restaurant)

Where do I begin…. A halal restaurant that’s all I can say! It is Muslim friendly especially in a place like Vietnam where halal options are very limited. The food was great and the portions were very filling with decent prices. It definitely filled me up. The staff are very very friendly, always smiling and interactive with their customers and are always providing quick and efficient services making sure everyone’s needs are met. Service is also quick and the food is made freshly so tasted amazing!! Would definitely come back here again!

If you're looking for homely food with great flavor, this is the place. The ambience is peaceful, the person managing this place is a very humble man with great suggestions. A very important point is that here whatever we ordered was tasty and very fresh, unlike a couple of other restaurants that we visited where I could figure out that the curd and chutney etc. were spoiled. This is not the case here. Give this place a try and you'll definitely come back here again no doubt. We ordered palak paneer and Lamb/Mutton Biryani. Both were wow. Simple flavor, not overpowered by extra spices. ❤️ from India.

Our worst experience in Hanoi. Tandoori roti seemed to be cooked with stale dough. On complaining they dint seem to bother about it and said the gravy could be sour because of the tomato sauce they use. Given that they cater to tourist mostly should seriously look into the quality of the food being served. Also curry served had too much butter and no flavour

Lots of North Indian food options among which we tried aloo Paratha, chilly paneer and Indian masala tea. All of those were delicious. It's located at a prime and happening place very near to hoam kiem lake and within the old quarter area.

Staff was nice. Ordered chicken biryani, tasted very strongly of tumeric and was a small portion. Similar prices to other indian restaurants in the area which might have better offerings. They also charge 8% on top of the price when paying, not included in menu.

Great food served with excellent customer service! We had chicken wrap, garlic naan, lamb kurma n 2 parotas. Could taste the freshness of the ingredients. The lamb kurma had a burst of flavors of the spices. To top it off, had gulab jamun which was so soft n yummy! Great ambience too.

Ate here last week. I had lamb saag, my companion had shrimp masala. She’s been in the French Hanoi hospital for three days! Food poisoning confirmed . I was fine, I’m allergic to shrimp. I would not recommend eating at this restaurant. I went back and informed the attendant but she blew me off…..

Found this place because it smelled so good on the streets. Is super clean, the women are very nice and the food is delicious. I recommend it 100%. You wont regret it. :)
