I had a visit to the hygienist due to gum infection to clean my tooth. On the page of the clinic it is written that they offer Air flow for 70£. On the day of the appointment   I expected AirFlow and instead of that I got scale and polish  perform in the most painful of all possible ways. More modern clinics  have ultrasonic scalers and treatment does not hurt  at all .They don't have such modern equipment they just do it with a drill which is terribly painful. When I asked why it wasn't Air Flow they say they do not have this tool to  do  this treatment at the moment. Why nobody told me about it  when I was booking the date ? Why is this offer on the site if they don't have the tools to do it? They have crystal chandeliers but they don't have a machine to make  basic tooth cleaning procedures. I felt like I was in a SKETCHY place and not in an East   London  PRIVATE clinic. I should be informed that this machine is gone and this procedure will not be carried out so that I would go to another place instead of  doing a  different  treatment  in very  old fashion  method  and the moust important  extremely painful. This method is more invasive and destroys enamel more than ultrasonic scalers. I wonder how they do scaling to  elderly people who have weak enamel?  They remove tartar   with a drill  as it was in my case ?This all should be tailored to the client's needs and health. I will be traumatized for the rest of my life after this situation.  If you do treatments, make sure you have the tools first. It's like booking a visit to a hairdresser who doesn't have a scissors and cuts your hair with a knife instead of scissors.   I was requesting a refund of my deposit and they couldn't return my money because the receptionist Esmeralda didn't know how to do it. LOL  I pointed out that they have written on the page that they offer such a service -Air Flow and  receptionist Esmeralda said  that it is not true.LOL   I felt like I was talking to someone from another planet . This clinic should invest in more modern equipment in general; they should buy a tool  and not offer a service if they have no tool to do it. At list they should call the patient and say that there is no such service. SKETCHY place. ZERO STAR. PLEASE Avoid THIS PLACE.

I had such a horrible experience at this dental clinic. I arrived there to get my wisdom teeth extracted which I was nervous about because even though its a routine procedure it's still quite invasive. First of all the dentists were unprepared, the whole thing was so rushed and felt unhygienic and they did not make me feel comfortable at all. The dentist didn't even tell me his name and was touching and playing with his phone when I walked into the room. I don't even know if he washed his hands before the procedure. I was taken into their kitchen to take a scan of my jaw and the woman who was preparing the scan didn't even wear gloves and was touching things that had to go in my mouth. She covered this thing I had to bite down on with what looked like cling film that they use for food as well. I then had to almost convince the dentist that I needed this procedure done because he didn't think it looked serious enough, even though I have been referred to them by my own dentist. While he was talking to me he didn't even wear a mask which in Covid times is so unprofessional. After it was done he left the room immediately and I was basically just asked to leave. I wouldn't recommend going to this clinic at all, it was a terrible experience.

I was searching for a good dentist and hygienist for years and I can honestly say AF Dental exceeded my high expectations. Dr Alia Faki is an amazing dentist, she explains everything so clearly and has done great work on my teeth. When I went to see her she did an x-ray of my teeth and talked me through the work that needed to be done on certain teeth. She also sent me a copy of my dental plan with the price of each procedure. This has been super helpful and allows me budget for my dental work. Toyin is an amazing hygienist, she's a personal trainer for my teeth. I've learn't so much about my teeth since going to see her. With her help I've been able to find a dental routine that's best for my teeth. Esmeralda is a great dental nurse and is always so professional and sweet. The reception staff are always friendly and do a great job helping me plan my hygienist appointments in advance so I'm able to make the most of the platinum dental plan. I recommend AF dental without reservation.

Dental work so shoddy, my fixed retainer lasted 4 hours before it came away, and I've had fillings fall out within a week of them being put in. I've had to pay again for work to be fixed by other dentists, who have been completely horrified at the state my teeth have been left in. My new dentist this morning spent twenty minutes scraping dental glue off my gums - they've only just stopped bleeding. OH, and Dr Sara blames you for grinding your teeth. It's never the quality of her work, it's always your fault. So you pay to get gaslit. She's consistently late for appointments. Have waited up to 40 minutes to be seen before. No respect for your time or the fact you've got a day job. No post 6pm or pre 9am appointments to accommodate. Half of Reception are a shambles (frustratingly incompetent). The other half are alright. Just, save yourself the wasted time and money, and avoid like the plague.

I can honestly say Toyin is one of the nicest and incredibly talented hygienists I have seen! I am highly sensitive so was a bit anxious about having my teeth cleaned which had delayed me from visiting a hygienist and caused a lot of build up between my teeth/gums, but Toyin attended to me with great care and attention. She sat me down and explained the procedure to me step by step and even stopped in between to make sure I was ok. This put me at ease and I can honestly say, I didn’t feel any pain or discomfort. The whole visit was amazing from start to finish and I now feel so confident with my beautiful clean teeth. Thank you so much Toyin for making me feel comfortable and reassured. From my experience not many hygienist have had the patience to do what you did with me and because of this, I have highly recommend you to all my family and friends. All the best x

I was desperately looking for an emergency appointment during time where most dental practices are having trouble obtaining PPE and found AF Dental on Google. Dr Christiane and the wonderful assistant Esmeralda were able to offer a same day appointment and put in all the time and care to make sure the root canal treatment was painless and successful. They explained to me what they were going to do before each step and made me feel very reassured. This was by far the most gentle and personable experience I’ve ever had at a dentist appointment! Despite this being a horrible emergency I am now very pleased to have found AF Dental and will be returning for my routine dental care. Thank you Dr Christiane and Esmeralda!

As I sit here, dribbling out of one side of my mouth it says a lot that I'm still giving these professional gum spankers five stars. Dr Mohammad Rahman is super-friendly and was very tolerant of my advanced cowardice. I've just got back from a deep clean and while this did prove there is something worse than dinner with my mother he was careful to be as gentle as it possible all the while drilling to the earth's core via my gums. He didn't use any scare tactics to convince me, instead he got me to hold up a mirror while he showed me the problem (the space between my gums and teeth forming a neat little 3d model of the Grand Canyon).

Had a wonderful experience here from start to finish. Was made to feel very comfortable initially by the lovely lady on the front desk, then the very professional, amiable dentist who talked me through the initial consultation and then action plan needed to remove a wisdom tooth. On day of extraction, I was slightly nervous to start, but was put at ease straight away, first at front desk, and then in the dentist’s chair. Extraction was quick and painless and brilliantly done. A few days later, it has started to heal very nicely. Very happy to know I have a great dentist to go to on my doorstep. Would highly recommended!!!

I first came accross AF dental by googling the best dentist in hackney. It was my first time visiting a private dentist and i can honestly say it was worth the time. The receptionist Nancy exudes the NHS 6 constitution values.. working together for patients, respect and dignity, comitment to quality of care, compassion, improving lives as well as everyone counts. Excellent communication skills, patience and knowledgeable about her role. Not to mention the dentist's, they took there time when delivering service and reassure me throughout the process in regard to what treatment is necessary. I will definitely visit again.

Everything went well, however they did not ask if I had any recent x-rays prior to giving me an X-ray. This question is usually asked when I go to other dentists however on this occasion it was missed. in my case it was not an issue as I had no recent x-rays, however I felt this was an important step to miss. However everything else from booking, waiting, treatmentnt and discussion was outstanding. The facilities were great and we'll maintained and the staff were very polite.

Extremely positive experience. Dr. Faki gave me a number of possible options when I crown I got in the US fell out, with each option very clearly priced. Also probably the most painless dental experience I have had. Even the anesthetic was relatively painless. Their membership plans work out as great value if you need a couple of fillings/crowns as you get a discount as well as two checkups and two hygienist visits. All in all, would highly recommend.

I had my wisdom teeth taken out here. It was expensive(all private dentists are unfortunately) but the care and time they took looking after me was worth every penny. I had multiple x-rays taken before and after the procedure, had all my concerns addressed and felt like I was a valued patient. I don't regret a thing and will be visiting them in the future to see a hygienist. I would definitely recommend if you are considering any dental work.

Truly the worst receptionist I’ve ever spoken with. I had to repeat all my details at least 3 times, she nearly booked my prepaid appointment under the wrong patient and and she misheard my key details multiple times so a simple appointment booking call took twice as long as it should have. I love the hygienists here which is why I keep returning to the practice, but the painful appointment booking process is something I dread.

I had booked in to see a hygienist which I originally had a bit of anxiety about because it had been awhile but from the minute I walked in the staff were so friendly and put me at ease immediately! My experience at AF Dental Hackney was pleasant and informative. The staff were very polite and kind; as well as patient. The staff here are amazing. I had 4 fillings with Dr Mohammed and he absolutely smashed it. The receptionists and dentists are all really friendly which helps put you at ease before any work. Then the actual procedure was executed efficiently, with the correct amount of anesthesia so that I wasn't in pain. I'll be going back here whenever I need dental work done!

AF Dental is really great! From booking my call with the receptionist to having my hygienist appointment (Toyin) and general check up (Dr Mohammad) everything was so easy, quick and seamless. They overcharge you. I was told the consultation would be £30 but once arrived I was asked to pay an additional £30 for X-Ray that I was told would be included when I made the appointment. She also damaged my fixed retainer on examination that had to be fixed elsewhere! So, waste of time and money, I don't recommend.

I am having problems with my teeth and went to AF dental who then sent me for a scan at CT Dent and on receiving the scan AF dental said i Had to see an ENT specialist but gave me no information why I repeatedly send emails to find out so I can Tell the ENT professionals and phoning I just get cut off.
