Terrible customer service. If I could review half a star I would have. I appreciate Aldis 'bag your own' business structure and have had no concerns prior to my evenings visit today, but I can find no excuse for cramming all the groceries straight over the barcode reader before Ive even finished loading the belt. By the time I moved my trolley to the area where I could transfer my groceries from, the man serving had started squashing my fresh produce into the other boxed products and when I reached to take some of the groceries from the now crushed pile, he continued to push more against my hand. I have never had a problem with Aldi before and like their groceries but the savings I can make shopping there arent worth the wasted food crushed into itself due to poorly behavoured staff with no common sense not to put groceries against a pile AND a customers hand!

I like occasionally visiting Aldi and I am starting to buy a few different items that are cheaper than the other bigger supermarkets. There are some items that aren’t cheaper or any good but I find their toilet and laundry products and pet and frozen sections are a good product and are cheap. If you are nervous about going to Aldi go and try and and see if you like it, if you don’t then there’s no harm done. I don’t think I could do my full shop here but I have all 3 supermarkets literally next to each other so I have a good choice to choose from. I like their new self serve checkouts but they need to make them card and cash, not just card, there are still people that use cash.

I have been shopping at this store for a few years now, use to love coming here due to the previous staff were friendly, very competent & efficient. Lately my experience has been rudeness asking to check your bag, telling you not to purchase stock as it's not for sale until the next day, when there are lot's of customers waiting to be served the staff don't call out for other staff to open other registers, sadly the customer service has rapidly declined which is very disappointing. As the new staff behave like they just do not want to be there, will definitely shop at another store

As regular customers at Aldi Somerville, we are consistently impressed with the service of the team. Most recently, Somerville's Manager ,Rachael, went above and beyond when deliveries were delayed for Aldi's 'Special Buys.' Rachael apologised for the delay, and took the details of all customers, ensuring those who arrived early would not miss out. When the delivery arrived, Rachael's support continued, providing a team member to support us in lifting the washing machine into our car. What a team!!!! Another reason why we love our local Aldi.

I'd usually say this store is pretty decent but after a brief visit today - so disappointed. After leaving the store I was approached by an elderly lady with obvious signs of illness to help her load some heavy items into her car - she tells me that the ALDI staff were 'too busy' to help her. 5 minutes it took me to load her car. Poor form Aldi - Poor Form. Maybe try to remember we are a community and not everyone is able bodied like the 20 year old staff sitting behind the registers..

This is a feel like country store. Staff are pretty friendly and stock is always good. Meat prices are cheap and the quality is really good. Shop Aldi for frozen foods and meat mostly because it's generally cheaper and they have a good range. Fresh pre made meals are great to as quick meal but still quality home made type food. Parking is good there too plenty of it. Store is clean and tidy. Recommended.

The staff at Somerville are friendly but in a professional manner, as are most Aldi stores. Also the customers are generous. I have usually only one or two items and often the person with a trolley full offers to let me go ahead of them. veges are as good as any other chain and often cheaper. When popular items come on special they are snapped up very quickly. this is because they are a popular bargain.

Somerville store manager this morning 10/10/2020 gets only one star for been the worst manager there making up rules as she goes, after waiting in line for an hour, no sign on goods limiting how items per customer , then when people start complaining she changes the rules to one per customer then again to one per family ? Then starts confiscating goods at the checkout, poor customer service

Always a pleasure shopping here. Most of the Aldi stores are very well set up with easy access in and the checkout system is very quick. The only downfall is the checkout operators process everything so fast that you don't have time to pack your shopping in the bags. Lucky they have great bench space so you can pack and stack your groceries after you've paid for your items.

It's just finished a renovation and looking Fresh. Its also not far from a Woolworths or Coles if they haven't got something you need which is handy. The only thing I don't like about the new layout is that the chilled section is right where you walk in. Anything cold is something I'd prefer to do last.

Every time I come to aldi I am disappointed. Either the items they have advertised they have run out of, or products I had been buying are now imported either from China or a European country. I rather spend my hard earned on business that supports us Australians not funnelling the profits overseas.

Their customer service is absolutely atrocious. Time and time again ive had very bad experiences there. If i could give them less stars i would. Rude cashier rude manager. Everytime ive ever gone to this store ive ALWAYS had bad experiences. Over it. Ill shop at Mornington from now on.

If you have never visited Aldi before I highly recommend it. Stop getting ripped off by the supermarket giants. This place has a great product range and quality products at very affordable prices. And theres not much they dont have. Its particularly good for those shopping on a budget.

what can i say i love Aldi.I don t know how i would manage without them. i no longer work due to illness now on dsp its hard. i use to just go and get groceries not looking at prices now i plan my shopping day for bargains i have to to survive from pension pays thankyou aldi

Good selection of all types of foods, alcohol, bargain goods for personal and home use.Selection not as extensive as the larger food stores, but price and quality very good.We still use Aldi as our 1st shopping supermarket and top up with products that are not available.

Regular shopper at this store. Since the refurbishment they only seem to have one register open. Staff are not as friendly or helpful as they used to be. Struggle with their trolleys also feel pressured to pack my bags quickly at the checkout.

One of the workers in this store is extremely helpful and is happy to help with any queries you have. You never feel like you’re a bother to him. He is lovely. Big tall guy . Don’t know his name but he def deserves employee of the month .

Aldi treat all its customers like criminals insisting they check your bags. HORRIBLE. I've taken my $13,000 PA business elsewhere. Fruit and vegies are poor quality...ofeten mouldy and passed use by date. Should be shut down

My faith in humanity was restored on a recent visit to the Sommerville store. A young lady had no cash and I think issues with her card. The duty manager on the cash register paid for her items. Such a lovely gesture.

My first go to shop. Staff ars pleasnt. Love the special buys. Also has the freshest crumpets and buns around. Only thing i would change is eggs to be refrigerated. Apart from that no complaints

Super helpful here!! Had been searching all the other stores for an item that was sold out and they had it! Staff helped me to find what I was looking for and made it very easy for me.

Good prices but range is limited. Also they need to have more registers open. I go to Aldi first to get what l can then finish the shop at Coles for the items l couldn't get in Aldi.

Fruit and veg seems to be on par with the big supermarket chains these days, and we are saving about 25% on each shop since we changed. Also they sell thick cut bacon,mmm bacon.

Aldi is always cheaper than the big supermarkets and the quality is generally very good. I must have saved a fortune there over the years! Somerville has a great new layout too

While we're not prepared to make Aldi our primary supermarket, we most certainly go to Aldi at least once a week to buy their cheape but good quality products.

Expect great prices with much fewer selection of brands. Amazing deals every week run down the Center of the store from children toys, to gardening appliances.

Theres never enough illse open. People load up 10 trolleys worth and if your only there for coffee pods u have to line up for 15mins
