"Used to have good service but not anymore; I had to edit my 5 star review and give it 1 star after our shopping experience today! One of the employees (named Lisa) was extremely rude, and had overcharged my mother (an aged pensioner) on an item (truss tomatoes), and then when my mum went back to the register (a minute later) the cashier Lisa tried to say that maybe my mum had gotten the more expensive tomatoes instead"
"Extremely rude, unfriendly and unhelpful checkout people who desperately need some customer service training"
"Rude Indian guy asked me to show him my personal carry bag at check out"
"I just don't really like Aldi, so yeah, I'm biased"
"There are four Aldi stores close to me and I'll usually go to whichever one is on the way to or from wherever"
Used to have good service but not anymore; I had to edit my 5 star review and give it 1 star after our shopping experience today! One of the employees (named Lisa) was extremely rude, and had overcharged my mother (an aged pensioner) on an item (truss tomatoes), and then when my mum went back to the register (a minute later) the cashier Lisa tried to say that maybe my mum had gotten the more expensive tomatoes instead. In other words, my mother was lying and trying to pay less!! She even picked up the next customer's tomatoes and claimed they "didn't smell the same therefore they couldn't have been truss tomatoes". My mother spoke to the manager who was very understanding and claimed it was not the first complaint against this employee. Really ruined our experience. Implying that a customer is a liar is poor form. When Lisa served me she was very rude as well. Poor customer service skills. Seems like she was just in a rush to go on her break (as she left the register after serving me). Not going to shop at Aldi anymore. Going to Woolies from now on. A bit more expensive but a better experience on the whole. Watch out for Lisa at the Aldi Vermont South store, she clearly hates her job!
Extremely rude, unfriendly and unhelpful checkout people who desperately need some customer service training. Rude comments if you are too slow putting your stuff in your trolley. Very cold. If they don't like their job they should leave and get another job. Could learn a lot from the Coles staff. Would give -5 stars if I could. Forest Hill Aldi staff are much better in every way, Vermont South staff need to grow up and understand that the customers are helping to pay their wages. Maybe some of the other checkout operators are courteous, as I rarely shop there I might not have come across them.
Rude Indian guy asked me to show him my personal carry bag at check out. I did and had argument with him cause he asked many times and I showed him more than three times and he’s an rude nasty Indian guy ( recognized comments from previous reviewer , with distinct Indian looking) he then Refused to serve me and ask me to leave. He claimed himself as the manager of the store. Too bad this kind of people should not be working there disgraceful and discussing.
I just don't really like Aldi, so yeah, I'm biased. Mainly it's the blatant rip off of better known (and better made) brands, right down to copying their of packaging and colours. If this isn't intended to deceive the consumer, then I don't know what could possibly be the motivation behind this tactic. But hey, if you like Aldi - and lots of people do - then you know what you're getting and I'd wager you'll be fine with it all.
There are four Aldi stores close to me and I'll usually go to whichever one is on the way to or from wherever. They're all good if you like that sort of thing but for some reason, I find the layout at Vermont South a bit confusing compared to the others -- but I guess that's to be expected because the whole centre seems a bit eccentric compared to others -- but it does have its own peculiar kind of friendly charm.
The lady at the register was so arrogant , unless she had a hearing problem. I said hello and got no reply, when she had completed my check out i said thanks , no reply. I then said have a good weekend , still nothing . She never made eye contact , i have had her before and same deal she was mute. Didnt see her name badge , she was wearing glasses and around 25 years.
I love Aldi and what's even more appealing is I have a new puppy whom I have to take with me at the moment, not that it will continue. The staff thought he was adorable and never told me off for having him which was great. I also think their meat, fruit and vegetables have really improved. The steak was delicious, tender and reasonably priced.
Hate to say this sooo many times. Friendly, cheaper, faster, solid products, easy wine access. This is not a hard question. Now initially some veggies where below average. Not anymore. The meat cut's are creative and generally of a solid average. The cheap wine is a perfect week day slurper and their good stuff is well priced.
Usually good service I go here when Burwood has run out of certain products. Sometimes they are out of stock of the same product which is frustrating. The order and aisle position is different which is a downside and sometimes staff have not been as friendly. Worth checking out if you are in the area.
Talk about taking care of staff ALDI sure knows how with checkout staff sitting while serving customers! So good to have Aldi at the little shopping center keeping Coles on it's toes AHAHAHHA! Brilliant! Staff are friendly excellent range, wine is a great price. Nice & tidy perfect for Vermont South.
Decent Aldi, little on the small side, but plenty of special buys down the middle. Been here a few times and have never once beaten the cashier to pack my items. They are like a cat on a wet Lino floor. Circular arms a sweat flying everywhere. Will be back to test myself after some training.
A great Aldi my favourite . l have to travel further as there are two other Aldis closer to me but l find the parking is better here and l have also found the service here to be very good they are always opening other checkouts when things get busy. Keep up the good work.
It's ALDI, not enough staff but they're all friendly, only 1 register and when they say another one is opening most times you wish you had stayed in the queue you were in! Note this applies to all ALDI stores. But the price is good in most cases.
I just went there, i am disappointed a casher, Indian guy, super super super unkind and rude. I will never ever go there again NEVER. If you want this unpleasant experience this like, you can try. BUT I recommend you will go to other store.
One of the smaller stores, but still has the full range of products. This store was recently renovated ( jan 2021 ) and it now looks quite good inside. Staff are good, although being a smaller store the have less registers.
My go to Aldi since it is the nearest. However, their range of merchandise seems to be less than other nearby ALDIs. Buying essentials are ok but if you’re looking for that special item, it can be a but of a challenge.
Good parking also right near Pet Stock. The staff were nowhere to be seen. 2 lines at checkout with 10 people plus waiting in each line is ridiculous. Store manager Brenton needs an attitude adjustment too.
I gave them this this rating because rating because they usually have what products I want except lately they quite often run out of stock of Farmdale 1 litre full cream long life milk even early morning
Bad experience. Was asked for receipt for stuff I bought from coles when coles was written evidently on the items. Made me feel like I was some kind of theif. Will not even give one star if possible.
Horrible rude lady staff at the counter especially with kids. You think is easy shopping with toddler..? What a horrible experience never come here again. Looks like unmotivated staff in general.
It's getting worse the way the shop is managed, halfway products are out of stock! There is a better opportunity at Burwood Hgw shopping centre to shop, beside veggies look more fresh
Great friendly staff and very helpful. Clean and very convenient. Great price pin 4- piece Atlantic salmon for $12, cheap and good ferry milk and great valued French Champagnes.
Dont bother going close to closing time . Nancy is more focused on leaving on time than any customer service. Wont be shopping there again. One star is too much for this shop. Q
Its an Aldi, if much like all the others. The carpark can be a little awkward with a zebra crossing/speed-hump and odd one way traffic flow when entering off the side street.
Clean and modern store with a decent range of products. Other Aldi stores seem to have better stock than this one. Additionally, staff can be quite impolite here
Good spot for an Aldi, lots of parking at the front. It is located in the same Center as a Coles and other traders, so you can do all your shopping in one visit.
Found this Aldi to be less than satisfactory. They had a lot of oldish sort of stock, which I suppose is a good thing for an Aldi store but seemed very desolate!
I don't know what the problem with the supply of fresh berries is here, but consistently I have purchased fresh raspberries and blackberries which are moldy.
I was served by a rude cashier. This has discouraged me from shopping at Aldi Vermont South in the future. I shall go to Coles in the same shopping centre.
The staff here are always so helpful and friendly. Often when they are about to close their checkout and see if you put a few things they open back up.
It is relatively okay but this is my local store. Still the same... don't know why Google is asking to comment... be careful as to what you wish for.
All been RENOVATED, it's great. Good variety, ver quick service at registers. Well done on the new looking Aldi Vermont South.
Great albeit limited grocery range. Tomatoes have some flavour! Coffee beans are a surprise too. Set out nice & not too busy.
Good clean setout, same as most other ALDI in Melbourne. Prices are cheap. Plenty of free parking nearby and not very busy.
Great store to shop in as it's never crowded like other Aldi stores. I prefer to shop here than the Aldi nearer to my home.
Atmosphere is a bit different here to other Aldi stores that I have been to and this store is not one of my favourites.
It's Aldi! Great grocery shopping, great range of products, and all at fantastic prices. Love it …
Usually not crowded so easy to get thru quick, can get a park close enough and staff responsive and friendly.
This store has been one of the cleanest and well stocked aldi stores I have been to. Good staff too.
Good location, convenience with a wide selection of must have makes for great customer experience.
The place has just been renovated so it is all nicely freshened up. Friendly staff too!
Great new layout, includes expanded F&V section. Will need to relearn their geography.
Store has been refurbished. Usual range of Aldi products. Friendly staff.
Love to shop there. All the staff work there were helpful and friendly.
Well stocked. Good variety. Never have to wait too long at check out.
Store very good nothing sold out. Parking could be better though
nice place to do your daily shopping, good price, good service !
Excellent food choìces could do with a coùple of extra staff

Some staff is not really polite and you can feel it.
