I always feel overwhelmed by the amount of history jam-packed into this tiny store. Not just books, but vintage/antique signs, stickers, ads, photos, postcards, greeting cards and even serviettes. Which isn’t even mentioning the other ephemera in the cabinets near the front. As for prices, I think it depends on what you’re looking for. Personally I think they’re a little high sometimes, but if it keeps this place going as it has been for as long as I can remember then it’s hard to argue. If you have some real vintage or antique books of your own you can see if the owner would like to buy them or I suppose trade for store credit.

Each time I visit this store, I always wind up spending at least a couple of hours, and usually leave with something I hadn't expected to see - they have all manner of interesting items, and an endearing level of clutter and hidden gems. Well worth a visit - but be prepared to be there a while, you're guaranteed to get side-tracked looking at things you didn't go there for but find intriguing!
