Addington is a boutique gallery featuing topnotch contemporary abstract and representational artists...The owner/curator Dan Addington participates in the River North Gallery Tour. Hosted by different gallerists each week, the tour focuses on a few different galleries each time, on Saturday mornings. Some spaces are well known; some are hidden gems. Prices on some works are surprisingly affordable, too. The River North Gallery Tour is open, friendly and non-snobby! A highly recommended way to get to know what art is out there in Chicago.

I recently purchased a beautiful encaustic painting at Addington Gallery. It was a great experience. Dan Addington was knowledgeable, helpful, and encouraging to a buyer stepping outside of their artistic comfort zone. The customer service was exceptional. Dan met me in Elgin with the painting saving me from a trip from Wisconsin to downtown Chicago. I am delighted with my new painting - I smile every time I walk past it!
