We would like to express our sincere thanks to Angela Seaton and her wonderful Team at Allison Monkhouse for assisting us in organising the funeral service to celebrate the life of our beautiful Mum, Magdalene Jansen. From the initial contact, Angela brought a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the arrangement of a funeral service, which was greatly valued by us at a time of great loss in our lives. Angela and her Team were professional and meticulous in organising all stages of the funeral arrangements, taking into consideration our requests and ensured that the church service was a befitting farewell to our beautiful Mum, Magdalene and that it was conducted with respect and dignity. We would also like to mention that we received plenty of positive feedback from family and friends in Australia as well as overseas, who had followed the service on live-stream and they were very impressed with the excellent service provided by Allison Monkhouse. There were so many people who were unable to attend the funeral service because of the COVID-19 restrictions, but being able to participate in the church service on live-stream gave them an opportunity to say farewell to our beautiful Mum, Magdalene. Our heartfelt thanks to Angela and her Team for their professionalism, dedication and providing an excellent service to us in our time of grief. Merryel, Janet and Vyvette
Our deepest sympathies to dear Tania, Annalene, Warren & Andre. I will never forget working with Ronnie at Photo -Cinex in Colombo where I was an Assistant Accountant 1970-1973 and the good times we had with him when we went for Cricket Matches. There was never a dull moment when Ronnie was around even in Office. He was well respected as all employees knew he was the nephew of Mr. Melder who was the MD of Office Appliances. I should also acknowledge that he volunteered and covered our wedding in 1975 at St. Lawrence Church free of charge. Thanks for having a wonderful service and all the funeral orations and the impressive Divine Liturgy. The priest was also so accommodating and kind. May the good Lord bless and keep Ronnie and all of you in good spirits till we meet again in Paradise!
Just wanted to take the time to praise the beautiful and helpful staff at Allison Monkhouse Brighton, especially David and Sharon who conducted the funeral for Mr Noel Haines. I could not speak highly enough of their professionalism, kindness and support to help me with accessibility for my clients who were on frames and attending from a facility. They even moved the car for me, which was a great help and extremely appreciated. I was touched to see staff comforting our residents who were grieving and helping bring them refreshments. Now that is good service. You made a funeral experience very comforting in a time of grief. Thank you so much on behalf of myself, Chrissy and Ian - Kate (Glenhuntly Terrace).
I watched this beautifully orchestrated farewell service to Dear Aunty Magdal( Magdalene Jansen) held on 14th September and was very impressed with the service you rendered to ease the minds of the family to put their loved one to rest....am sure Aunty Magdal from heaven above feels honored and pleased with the service you did with much dedication and love. Am very positive it meant a lot to Aunty's family and specially to her three daughters. Words cannot express how much we all appreciate your professional and dedicated service... May the great Lord bless all the staff of Allison Monkhouse with strength and courage to continue with this great service
Today's online service was very well done, the video quality was excellent and we got the true feeling of actually being there There are two issues that perhaps do not need to be published on google but are an attempt to provide feed back 1. The video with the many photos would have been so much better if it was displayed in full screen to the online viewers. It was difficult to make out the faces of those appearing in it today - and I used a 24" monitor in full screen mode. 2. The music at the end of the service had a lot of feedback but the last song (My Way) was perfectly clear. Keep up the good work.
My family recently engaged Allison Monkhouse at Knox to look after my Mum's funeral. We were assigned Brandon Collett as Funeral Consultant, which was a good thing, as we were very happy with the way Brandon handled the myriad of questions around funeral arrangements, so effortlessly. He was an absolute pleasure to work with, always smiling, warm and respectful, a true professional! Everything went perfectly at Mum's funeral too, which was no surprise. I cannot recommend Brandon and Allison Monkhouse, highly enough! From the entire Muir family, thanks, Brandon!
We would like to say big thank you to Allison Monkhouse Knox for helping us prepare for the hardest event in life, and that is to organise a farewell for our mum Ursula. But the biggest thank you we would like to pass on to Jessica O’Neill who has helped us prepare the funeral. From the moment we met Jessica we felt comfortable and knew we were in good hands. Jessica was patient, empathetic, knowledgeable, professional and kind. She has gone above and beyond guiding us through the process with a smile and a kind heart. Our mum must be smiling from above.
Dearest Prince Anna, always will cherish your memories in my life, can still remember the beautiful picture you drew ,many years ago ,when you were around 11 years or so ,the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ...for me that is a Master Piece...can recollect the days you taught me Accountancy at the initial stages of my career, will never forget your smile and the calm composure, Rest in Peace my big brother, may the Peace of God ,Comfort your beloved Mum, your ever loving wife ,your loving Sisters and all the family members, your loving cousin, Conrad Daniel
Special thanks to the Allison Monkhouse team who guided me through organising my dad's funeral. My heartfelt thanks to Siobhan Farley from Allison Monkhouse and Mark Carey the celebrant ( Who were there also in 2013 when my mum passed away) that supported and helped me once again. A special thanks to Lucy from Meeting House Media and her staff for compiling the picture and music tribute. Also the beautiful flowers I chose were truly amazing. With Love and thanks Lisl Bauer. xxx
If you want a professionally managed hybrid funeral, do not use this company. With limited numbers at funerals we relied on their streaming service, which didn't work. No reason given, just a shrug of the shoulders. And the recording was completely unusable so the many people not allowed to attend the funeral missed everything. They offered a $100 discount off a $10k+ invoice for the streaming / recording service not working. Don't even bother with them, they are not worth it.
My cousin Opal the Entertainer we were similar characters Both straight talkers and neither of us had any patience with beating about the bush and had great respect for each other and she knew that that if she needed assistance I would do my best to oblige. Both Opal and I am in debt to Ann for everything she has done for Opal the kindness, thoughtfulness, and loving care Ann provided. My sister Bernice and I would like to express our immense gratitude to Ann. Travice Samuel
Bernie Bertus On behalf of St Josephs College OBU we extend our sincere sympathies to Mrs Betsy Bertus, Howard & Anthea for the loss of Bernie who was a member of the joint Joe/Pete OBU since 1974. Bernie participated in all the fund raising activities & played cricket in our annual encounters. Bernie was a keen loyal & enthusiastic member of the club will be sadly missed. Till we meet again. May your Soul Rest in Peace. Saint Josephs College - OBU. Vernon Davidson
To Elle Barry. Thank you so much to you and your staff for providing such a beautiful service honouring the life of Raymond Walter Shirley. On behalf of Ann and the entire family we could not have asked for more. You are a beautiful person who emotionally attached yourself to our gathering and Collin as a celebrant was sensational. Such a calm and caring presence. once again thank you so much. X Ann. Stuart. Julie And the entire family.
Dear Ingrid & Roy, Delwyn & Sandra aunty Zelia and to each of the family members please accept our heart felt condolences. I will always remember aunty Tazma for her smile, her laughter and her jolly ways. Also never will I forget the tasty meal she insisted I share with them, in their beautiful home when visiting Melbourne. She was a pillar of strength to her sister Zelia. May she rest in the arms of our Lord. Saroj & Cheryl
Ian Roscrow's Funeral service was tastefully and thoughtfully conducted. Ian would have been proud of his send off! My only suggestion is that when you show the pictorial history, it should be sent to the webcast directly, not just a little image as a part of the general view. Viewing from home, I would have liked to see the memories on a clear screen. Otherwise, I think the service did him justice... A genuinely nice man.
Goodbye to a gentle and loving man. Our friendship goes back a long way back to Ashhurst, Feilding days. I’ll never forget you or your wife Bavany. You played an important role in my life in New Zealand. You gave me away as a young bride when Brian and I got married. Thank you. My children Devan and Arun join me to express our deepest condolences to Vasuhi, Radha, Uma and their extended families. Om Shanti
Rosemary and Randy .Janets friends in Sri lanka convey thier deepest sympathies to Janet and her family on the demise of her dear mother. We were prviledged to view the entire funeral service on internet. The funeral service and all the other funeral arrangements were well organised from start to finish. Last but not least We wish to add a word of cmmendation to the Funeral directors Allison Monkhouse
My family and I cannot thank Allison Monkhouse Wantirna South enough for helping us to farewell my brother. Brandon and his team were patient, kind, understanding, professional and so respectful from the first phone call to the last email. No task was too big or too small and we knew they were only a phone call or email away. They made such a difficult time for our family, all that little bit easier.
Simon’s Funeral service was great, we couldn’t have asked for more. The service was exactly what Simon wanted would be. Everyone’s attended that day says nothing but good words about your service. Very well organised and the ambiance was just relaxing, the family and friends with Simon were able to reflect and celebrate his life. Good job to Elle Barry and the team of Allison Monk Hastings.
Angela Seaton (Funeral Director) was a gift to me as I walked through this extremely sad and difficult time. Angela was kind, supportive, decisive, knowledgeable, professional and above all caring. She understood what Peter wanted his celebration to be and she was passionate about achieving his wishes. It was indeed a great celebration of Peter’s life. Thank you Angela.
Our sincerest gratitude to Steven and the Allison Monkhouse team for making the process of organising a funeral for our beloved father, especially with COVID restrictions, so much easier. The professionalism and support provided for all our requests, including live-stream for all those that couldn't attend in person, will never be forgotten. Thank you so much
The details of the service were expertly seen to by Angela at Allison Monkhouse. She had great attention to detail and I could not have been happier with the way my sister's service was handled. The livestream was of very good quality and the assistance of the media team and their help with the photographs was excellent. Thank you very much, Sally
Bijan it's a great memories which I spent in your lake camp house. I used to stay at lake camp in my young age. I am very much nostalgic for those days. It's a very bad message for me that my beloved brother no more in this world. Ajay also very shocked for this sad demise. Pray your soul Rest in Peace .... Yours ever, Poly...
Thank you so much to Allison Monkhouse for making such a sad and difficult time so much easier for Arlene and I. Without your help and guidance I don’t know how we would have managed. Marie, you and your colleagues made everything possible and gave our mum the farewell we truly wanted for her. Cannot thank you enough. Karin
Mary Acca, can't imagine that you are no longer with us and that you have gone to your Heavenly Home to be with all your loved ones. We miss you but we have the assurance that we will meet you, Saro Acca, Daddy, Mummy and all our other loved ones who have gone before. Rest in Peace until we all meet again in Heaven. Debo
I have known Alice Clarke and her late husband Wilf for nigh on 75 years. Thank you for enabling friends who could not get to Melbourne for the funeral to share in it through the wonders of the internet. My one suggestion would be to improve the echoing sound by taking the audio direct from the speaker's microphone.
Olwyn Charman's service was lovely. I heard and saw much about Olwyn that I did not know as I only met her when Mandy and Dougal were partners. She did pass on her beautiful smile to Mandy and Nikki as well as a love of animals - horses in particular. I thought that "Bill" did a fine job in conducting the service.
What a fitting and beautiful tribute and service to a loved one. There were no technical problems, sounding and lighting was perfect. We Thankful that we could share from afar in The tribute and farewell of your father, grandfather, uncle and brother. A very special celebration of Arnold's life. Tons of love
Would like to thank Elle at Hastings for all her amazing work and support through the most difficult time. She messaged to check in on us which is above what we would expect. She guided us and everything on the day was absolutely perfect and the support doesn’t stop after the service. Thank you so much xxx
Marie was just fantastic when we arranged our dad's funeral in February 2020. She was thorough and caring. She explained everything and made sure all aspects were covered. We are so glad we selected that location, it was comfortable, relaxed and private. Thank you Marie and the team at Allison Monkhouse.
A respectful, warm service that summed up an extraordinary man that I was honoured to know in both his roles. Wonderful to see his family and the assistant Ministers who worked with him and I believe make it possible for his gentle and open to all theology "at eye level" to continue around the World.
The care and patience shown by Harvey and Con made a difficult task easier. They were with us every step of the way Lily and Ryan were the start of our journey, they were respectful and considerate I have no words to express my families gratitude Thank you again for an exemplary job Samantha Merry
On behalf of our father Les, and our family, I would like to express our sincere gratitude to Siobhan, Elle , Andy at Hastings for the compassion, love and respect shown to our mother Nada. A very professional and caring service on Friday 27th August 2021. You all went above and beyond. Thank you.
I want to congratulate you and your team especially Angela who I met yesterday when I dropped off something for the family. She was very warm and helpful. I watched the funeral live streamed from my house and was very happy I could be apart of the service as well. Well done on great service
So so sad right now, have waited 40 mins to watch my grandfathers funeral and it finally came on live at the end of it as my family were leaving!!! In these times I would assume that places like this had worked out how to get it right. Other family members are also very very disappointed!
Such a fabulous tribute to a fine man who enriched our lives in many ways. I will always remember you and the memories over the years, cousin. My thoughts go with Sue, Marianne and family. I am so thankful that you and Sue came over to NZ and the family had a great catchup. Aroha Mai.
Such a beautiful Farewell for Nana ! It was a great privilege to have met her in 2019 , talk to her and listen to her sing lovely songs... She was a beautiful lady inside and out and was always happy and never failed to enlighten lives of people around her. Rest in peace Nana ! …
Judy Small,,,a dynamo for deaf cattle dogs, but also all deaf dogs.. Passionate about her dog training, friends & her dogs. Judy loved her dogs to a fault & was always happy to help anyone with their dogs & to help them with their training... Love you Judy, you are very much missed..
On behalf of our family, I would like to say what caring, loving and compassionate people Siobhan, Elle, and Andy are. At her funeral in Hastings our mum Nada was treated with the utmost care and respect. The support and kindness shown to our father was truly amazing. Thank you all.
remembering how often we talked about good and bad times at Ormond East state school, , the one we joked about most of the time was how you loved that terrible warm milk we got each morning, and i wanted to throw up, lol......i will miss you girl, the time has gone so very quickly
Such a meaningful service. I have never witnessed a funeral like this before and i just couldn't hold back my tears. A lucky mum who got a beautiful farewell from her loving children. May her soul Rest In Peace. My Deepest Sympathies to Janet and the rest of the family.
The service was beautiful and any inconvenience as a result Covid was handled with great sensitivity. There appears to be an ‘issue’ with the quality of the ‘stream’ which we hope can be resolved. Angela from the funeral ‘home’ was brilliant. Peter (family member)
We have had the most amazing service and kindness offered to us by the staff at Allison Monkhouse. Angela, Brian and the entire team have been nothing short of fabulous. Thank you for helping us through our period of great sadness. You guys are the greatest.
George was a very talented and passionate greek man who was so gifted that he was able to share his talents and love of theatre and musicals with us all. So poignent and heartfelt were the eulogies from John, Sonya and Ian, deepest condolences, Saki Ganella
Hi Yamuna we miss Gopal a lot he was such a jovial person the bond u had with Suja and Dr. S. H Reddy was immense . It is sad that both have left us in a matter of six months exactly . Tough he is not there physically but he is there with us eternally .
Goodbye Cousin! It was great to get to speak to you at the last. Happy that you are at peace now. We will all see each other again at the resurrection. It felt like being present with you this morning. Loving thoughts, Donna née Wardle and Monique
Very grateful to have had Jessica take care of my mum's funeral. She was available to answer our questions anytime of the day and regularly checked up on us. The service and burial went just as we hoped it would. Thanks Jessicsa and the team!
Special thanks to Stephen and the team at John Allison Knox after the passing of my grandfather. The funeral arrangements were managed with compassion and care, and we are grateful for their assistance and guidance during a difficult time.
A truly wonderful celebration of Ian's life with great tributes by family and the insight into his Masonry contribution of over 70+ years. My only suggestion is the need to zoom in for the photo reflections as you couldn't see them online.
I had been waiting to watch my friend Judy Smalls funeral and by the time it told me it had started most of the funeral was over, and maybe it could have also shown the people outside after the funeral as Judy is taken. Bit disappointed.
We buried our mom yesterday at Springvale cemetery. Jessica at Alison Monkhouse was there for us from expediting the Springvale cemetery booking to find a plot of land, all the way up to mum’s burial at the site. She was also able to
BRIAN AND I HAD REALLY GOOD DISCUSSIONS(ARGUEMENTS) ABOUT THE BOMBERS PLAYING LIST ,GREAT FUN AND I'LL MISS IT A LOT.I WOULD GET A BIT FIRED UP BUT HE ALWAYS STAYED CALM AND ANALYTICAL.I THINK HE ENJOYED THAT. Go Bombers! John and Bev
As a spiritually leader an interesting man. Rev Francis MacNab excepted a nonbinary queer person who was well travelled & experienced in the world of health & in matters of suffering & personalised racism. About time.
The old story of people are dying to get here. It's a nice place to commemorate those that have departed. Unfortunately this place has recently been sold to developers, and a new resting place will need to be found.
Just heard about the passing of I once knew so I googled his obituary and stumbled upon this website. Indeed a good service as I am sure you have provided ease and good service to his family members. Thank you.
To a beautiful Godly woman who loved her family and friends. You are in a far better place looking down on your precious Ross and children. May you receive eternal peace. Love Kimanie and Lyn x x

A superbly-run farewell event. This was a new experience for me in these Covid times, and so far as I could tell, you left absolutely nothing to be desired. Take a bow, A-M people!
This was my sisters funeral. I must say it really was the best funeral service I’ve ever been to. I’ve always been proud of my sister in life and death. She and u were amazing

It was a beautiful service for Maria. I would like to be able to view it again on the livestrean but cannot find the link to enable it.
Excellent video coverage, but the sound from the microphone needs work. The speeches, though audible were for the most part, unclear.
I had the privilege of knowing Leslie. Bloody legend! Fitting send off for a stellar lady, Jan's words captured her brilliantly!
