Chris was absolutely amazing - He met with us a few weeks before my Dad passed away. He gave us his direct mobile and said any time day or night we could contact him and true to his word we did and he always answered or called back as soon as he could. We had a lot of questions and he gave us all the answers and nothing was an issue at any time. We made arrangements to meet with another Funeral service provider prior to calling Chris and they were inconsiderate, had no empathy and could not even apologise for not turning up to an arranged meeting. When we called Chris he came out personally, sat with us for over an hour and was genuinely interested in my Dads life and noting his wishes. We know he was genuine and actually listened to what was being said because 3 weeks after the funeral my Mum and I went to his office to Collect my Dads ashes and the Video and to our surprise he remembered the conversations we had around the table the day we met him. That’s caring, that’s customer service and at times of grieving when we have lost a loved one there would be no one I would recommend more than Chris at Brember Family Funerals. My family and i would highly recommend Brember Family Funerals. In March 2022 we lost or beloved mother Catherine. We wanted mum to be looked after by a family run business. We contacted Chris who was extremely helpful in guiding us through what the process would be. He sent out the lovely Jess the next morning. She was so kind and compassionate. From the start nothing was to much trouble for her and she was available day or night to answer and questions or discuss arrangements. The care mum received throughout the whole process was exceptional. Her funeral was perfect and just what mum would have wanted. Unfortunately three months after losing mum we lost our loving father David also. In the early hours of the morning i contacted Jess for her guidance once again, and she was there within a hour with the lovely Tori, so that dad could be taken into their care immediately. Once again Jess guided us through the whole process and made a horrible situation bearable with their compassion and understanding. We don't know what we would have done without Chris, Jess and the team who went over and beyond what you would have expected from a funeral home. It was a great comfort to us to know that our parents were in Brember's care and treated with the dignity and respect they deserved. This greatly comforted us through our grief. Just as when I was running out of time, I checked their website and unknowingly chatting with Chris the owner. He did not sell his business nor forced me into anything but instead asked questions, made suggestions and guided me on what I could possibly do for my mother in such difficult time. And next thing you know, he sent the lovely Cherie! I wouldn't ask nor have anyone better than her. From the moment she entered our place, Cherie was respectful, compassionate, relevant, caring, honest, most helpful aside from being so accommodating. She was very personal and informative without being pushy. It almost felt like I was with a friend who would do anything to help me out, to ease the situation. And she made sure we have the best person to preside over the whole ceremony in Deacon Malcolm. Who encapsulates everything we hoped for. Our friends even thought he's our Parish Priest as how well he conducted and narrates Mama's life through our tributes. Chris and his team is one of a kind. I recently attended a funeral run by Brember Family Funerals and I was appalled by the lack of professionalism leading up to the funeral. I was notified by a friend also attending of a tiktock video where the owner filmed the bodies he was working on that day, which in my opinion is extremely disrespectful. I reported the video and it seems to have been taken down. If you want your loved ones exploited for likes and views then I suggest this company. If not, I suggest going literally anywhere else.
